Fascinating stuff.

I never knew Laura's father was on the show. Was he ever mentioned again. And what was said about Laura's mother. Was Bill Bell already foreshadowing her mental illness?

Yes, and his first name was changed to James for the rest of his appearances!

Here's his appearance list by month:

Harry Stanton (Dr. John Spencer)

Laura's mom wasn't seen until her dad's last appearance in 1971:

Thanks for sharing this. I can't wait to read through the whole thing. From what I've read so far, it seems like Sandy started out as a very interesting character. Not sure why she never developed.
