Days of our Lives, Wheel of Fortune, Fanday Funday Giveaway

On Monday, November 3, the syndicated game show “Wheel of Fortune” launched its latest Fanday Funday Giveaway, offering fans the chance to win “FAN-TASTIC” prizes crafted around the long-running daytime drama series “Days of our Lives.”

Running all season long, the “Wheel of Fortune” Fanday Funday Giveaway provides viewers at home the chance to win vacations, gift cards, merch, and more, as they look out for the Fanday Funday Word of the Day, which sees Maggie Sajak, daughter of the game show’s former host Pat Sajak, introducing the weekly giveaway with the word of the day during select episodes aired once each week.

To enter for a chance to win the giveaway, viewers must tune in or stream each episode and write down the Fanday Funday Word of the Day, which appears when they see Maggie in select episodes, once each week, join the Wheel Watchers Club, or login if already registered, and enter the Fanday Funday Word of the Day on the game show’s official website for the giveaway within seven days from the word reveal to enter.

In a clip circulating across social media promoting the “Days of our Live” giveaway, Maggie can be seen entering the set of Brady’s Pub as several of the show’s cast members look on while she introduces the Salem Sweepstakes, which includes a VIP tour of the “Days of our Lives” set in Los Angeles, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the daytime drama series, autographed memorabilia, and meet and greets with some of the show’s favorite hereos and villains. “You wouldn’t,” notes Robert Scott Wilson, who portrays Alex Kiriakis, in response to Sajak’s giveaway offering.

“The ultimate ‘Days of our Lives’ fantastic experience,” says Sajak in the promo discussing the giveaway, which is marketed in celebration of the show’s 60th anniversary. In an Instagram post, she said, “This was sooooo fun!!! Thank you @dayspeacock for the best day!”

Before the giveaway was formally announced late Monday, speculation ran rampant that Sajak may have joined the cast of the soap opera as a photo of her name on a dressing room door began to circulate without context. Some fans even went so far as to wonder if she would be playing a recast Claire Brady.

While her casting on the show has since been seemingly debunked, you never know what lies ahead in Salem, considering the show’s advanced tape-to-air schedule, which at one point was as long as 10 months.

“Days of our Lives” is produced by Corday Productions, Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television, which also produces “Wheel of Fortune.”

“Wheel of Fortune” is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White. In September, episodes of the syndicated game show became available to stream the next day on Hulu and Peacock.

Maggie Sajak joined the game show’s staff in 2021 as its Social Correspondent. This role sees her presenting exclusive digital content and behind-the-scenes looks at what makes the Wheel go ’round to viewers of both the syndicated and primetime editions. She first appeared on the show when she was just one year old, toddling onto the set with her father.

On Saturday, November 8, “Days of our Lives” will mark 60 years since making its debut on NBC. In September 2022, the series exited broadcast and became a streaming exclusive with all-new episodes dropping weekdays on Peacock. The series was renewed through Season 63 in July 2025, keeping the soap on the air through at least the 2027-2028 television season.
