Members Contessa Donatella
This is a Limited Series on AppleTV, a documentary, and in these days of thinking about "Representation Mattering" I found it both interesting & very knowledgeable. It begins in the beginning when there was no such thing as gay on TV. This is also what it was like when I was growing up. There was literally one high school teacher, a guy of course, who was considered effeminate. Nothing else existed. Women certainly did not. I only found out about queer women because of the first Gay/Lesbian mail-order bookstore where they actually shipped the books to you in plain brown wrappers. Rita Mae Brown's first famous book, RUBYFRUIT JUNGLE. The year was 1973. Has anyone else seen this doc?
