Thanks @alwaysAMC I'm vaguely remembering that there was an Adam and Brooke reunion on the reboot. Soaps really were ahead of the curve when it came to streaming.
AMC may be my next binge, especially now that it's on Pluto. I'll have to get a VPN.

Thank you for this. Ava is one of the standout characters. Lisa Peluso's version is the one I'm most familiar with and I always loved her spunk. Alex is cool too.
I just finished watching Casey's death. It's been years since I did so, and it made me sad all over again. Paul Anthony Stewart gave him so many layers. Although, I never understood why Cooper didn't give Ally (Tyler's mom) security to ward off any bad guys. But only a soap opera can Danny and Ally have an attraction after all that happened.
Speaking of Casey's death, Laura Wright is such a natural. Whew. She's always had a commanding presence, almost daring the viewer not to be taken in by her performances: from subtle to in your face. Her hair has always been luscious too.
Jacob and Angie are OK. The chemistry is there, but their AMC reunion was so much better since they got to be Angie and Jesse, not some hamfisted story.

Yeah, Guiding Light was dumbed down considerably from 1983 to 1988. Idiocy was the strategy to steal viewers from other networks. And for a time, it actually worked. Reva, Dreaming Death, Reva, Infinity, Reva, Art Scam/Paul Valere, Reva, Johnny Cancer, Reva.
Typical 1980s tripe. What a crappy decade overall for entertainment, regardless of outlet. It's no wonder quaaludes were all the rage.

Ahh interesting! That sounds like a fun storyline, I wish I could see it. From what little I could quickly find online, it sounds like Jeremy and another character I'm not familiar with - Matt Connelly - saved the two ladies in the jungle.
That Woman of the Year Award scene is one of my favorites! Lucci killed it. Such a great, great episode.
Totally agree about Barr. So Brooke ended up with Adam in the end. The show wisely brought Julia Barr back at the end and she and Adam reunited and got together. They were still together on AMC 2.0 reboot and Brooke was heavily used from what I remember, which was amazing.
