I know a few punk/indie kids and Anglophiles post here amongst the poptimists, so this is sad news for a scene whose numbers continue to dwindle. Buzzcocks were a touchstone for me in college twenty-odd years after their heyday. They brought songcraft and a queer sensibility to punk (Pete went even further in his solo work, anticipating the Pet Shop Boys), and Singles Going Steady is a perfect compilation. 63 is no age to go.
