Pluots

I can not wait for Pluots to be in the stores - Pluots is a fruit noted for their sweetness and intense flavor. Not many people are familiar with pluots, it is a cross between a plum and an apricot. The fruit’s exterior closely resembles a plum and some people call them Dinosaur Eggs. The pluot was developed by Floyd Zaiger in the 1980’s. You can use pluots in any recipe that calls for plums and they are so good and loaded with vitamin C.

Pluot or aprium season stretches from May to September. Pluots can be found mostly in milder climates - so guess I will have to wait another month to eat one or two and etc.
