Members Steven
Here's what Christmas in Salem is looking like: -It looks like we do get the traditional ornament hanging for the Hortons. Doug and Julie are there, Bo and Hope, Maggie, etc. and I believe John and Marlena too. Ciara hangs her ornament herself this year. There is no sign of Alice but I'm praying she is there and I just didn't see her. -The Johnson family is together for Christmas. Victor, Brady and Phillip are together as well, and so is Stefano and EJ. John shares scenes with Stefano too. -Interesting character interaction! Julie shares scenes with Stefano, Tony with Marlena, etc. -Abe, Lexie, Tony, Victor, Caroline, Maggie, Stefano, Doug and Julie will all be seen! -Doug reads the Christmas story at the hospital dressed as Santa and Julie is Mrs. Claus. -Not quite so much Melanie. But Max and Chelsea share quite a few scenes. -Nicole holds a gun on Dr. Whats-his-name, John Callahan's character. -Chloe and Lucas decorate their Christmas tree and spend time together with Kate, who is in and out of the hospital. http://s7.zetaboards.com/DaytimeRoya...8041582/1/#new

Members Shawn
At this point who cares. John and Marlena are gone, and more are sure to go. The show is officially dead...to me anyway.

Members Kstaff
The show isn't totally dead to me, but it's sort of like a plant that i don't really care about watering. I'll get to it when I can. Not necessarily because of John and Marlena, because they're not my favorites, but the whole mishandling of things for months. I don't get too bent out of shape if something happens to individual actors. It's life. It's the whole big package that makes me mad. It's like picking at a darn scab until it starts gushing. Or maybe more likening it to cutting off one limb at a time in big hunks. And, I wouldn't be surprised if it starts real anomosity backstage. I'm sure it's caused a lot of extremely low morale. Right now, only Nicole/EJ and Nick hold my interest. Not even Philip's character holds much interest because of the lousy he seems to be getting into. Kate's diagnosis and treatment is a laugh. I haven't even wanted to watch my recordings yet. I watch OLTL, because I can go to work without feeling depressed. IF I watch Days this week, it'll be on Saturday when I can crawl off, watch, get mad, FF, exercise to blow off steam, and get on with my next day. Members Shawn
If Days were smart, they'd just end in January with John and Marlena's exit. Take the whole month of January to tie up loose ends, bring back some famliar faces to facilitate some exits, and just end with atleast some dignity still in tact. But KC is a prick, and he will never do it. He'll milk this show for all its worth until its begging to die.
Members jcar03
^^Well that can't do that can they. They were renewed (now unfortuntely) so they have a contract with NBC. The renewal and the budget being cut is why they fired Deidre and Drake.
Members Shawn
And when the ratings plummet upon Dee's exit, and the show is hemorrhaging money like there's no tomorrow, the network will yank it and not allow the show to die with grace. I can't say that I'm too sad. The Days that I loved for 21 years is no more. Its just an empty shell.
Members tylerbo20
maybe they can pull it and replace it with a new version of MATCH GAME!!!!
Members Shawn
Or Concentration. Remember that one? Surely its better than a daytime staple!
Members ArizonaDaze
Whether Days dies after January remains to be seen, but it is such a part of my life for over 40 years, that I will stay until the end. I may not like everything that goes on or who they choose to let go, but old habits are hard to quit. I think I would rather see John and Marlena gone than to be destroyed completely.
