Okay back to stereotype talk

I also forgot to mention one that is personal for me and that is about women...the stereotype that, if a woman fights back against an abuser, that she is considered "crazy" or "insane"...that is just justification for a woman to be submissive and to stay in an abusive relationship (the same stereotype of her running away from the relationship is in tact).

that the gay community is unified under that rainbow flag and everyone is represented. that's a stereotype if ever there was one! there's so much racial discrimination against racial minorities within the queer community.

I don't mean to stir the pot, but I have to agree with you here. It's not one big gay old time under the rainbow. LoL, far from it actually. But I guess it depends on what type of people you surround yourself with, and that is prevalent for all communities.

Anyways moving on...

-Intelligence is often labeled as ' being a nerd' who have no fun.

-All the negative depiction of Africa within itself.

-If you're white you must listen to "rock music" and if you're black you must listen to "hip-hop and/or rap." It's usually the latter though.

-Teenagers in the store means that someone is going to shoplift.

-Media outlets portrayal of gay men as overly effeminate.

another stereotype is that soaps are full of bad actors. soaps have some of the best veterans. many of the newer ones (atwt's hansis and silbermann for example) are terrible actors. but many soap actors are great or even better than their primetime and movie counterparts.
