February 21, 200818 yr Author Member Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I knew that'd do the trick.
February 21, 200818 yr Member At least she hasn't planned a comeback around being something she's not. That being said, putting Seacrest and Cowell in the video was a dumb move, even if only a brief one. When she's in her element, the last thing we need to see is those bozos. Cut the cord already. I'm SO THERE! I'll bring my copy of her made for TV movie, Touched By Evil. Though I haven't seen it in years, I recall the awkwardness when she brought sperm samples to the authorities, hoping to nab her rapist. Edited February 21, 200818 yr by stenbeck212

Agreed very much so.

It was great seeing it on the big television screen.
February 22, 200818 yr Member They actually only had the official premiere of the video. It was great seeing it on the big television screen. Your avatar connotes some disturbing implications! Hmm. Popjustice skewered the video: http://www.popjustice.com/index.php?option...&Itemid=206Here is the competent video for Paula Adbul's competent comeback single, 'Dance Like There's No Tomorrow'. When we say 'competent single' we mean 'what a Timbaland and Keri Hilson track would sound like if it wasn't interesting' and by 'competent video' what we really mean is: 1991 IS ON THE PHONE AND IT WANTS ITS CHOREOGRAPHY, STYLING, SPECIAL EFFECTS AND VIDEO TREATMENT BACK. LIMBS! Readers, you might not know what is happening here because Paula is such a choreographicological genius but this is not one person with many arms - it is actually a lot of dancers all lined up waving their arms around. Yes we know you will not have seen this revolutionary idea ever before but it's true! SEAMEN! In this scene, and for literally no reason, the picture is encased in a picture frame with some sort of bizarre 'nautical' theme. FLASH! This might be the best bit of the video - when the lyrics reference a camera and the video freezeframes with a white border for a split second, as if to reference a photograph. Do you see what they've done? To really push the point home the 'photograph' then falls from the screen! Amazing! Fingers crossed for a 'vertical wipe' effect sometime soon, eh? PUSH! Another revolutionary dance move from the grand dame of pop choreography: sort of pushing your head while you bend over sideways. We like to call it the 'I've been waiting for this hip operation for three years'. MUSO! You can see Randy from American Idol on the left here. He really 'gets into the music' in this video. 'Yes dog he's really feeling it etc.' This attempt at looking like a Kelly Clarkson video is like when a group of newsreaders form a 'band' on Children In Need and everyone is a bit embarassed and then Anna Ford turns up in a slightly whorish dress to show off what great 'legs' she's got and everyone goes 'blimey' and dies a little bit inside. Also worth watching out for here is the guy on the right hand side, styled to look like every single LA session musician who ever existed in 1991. Although to be fair every LA session musician in 2008 does actually look like every LA session musician in 1991. Perhaps they are the same people. Perhaps they are the next generation. We may never know. WIND! This is so 1991 you half expect Luke Perry to wander on. NO!!!? Is this really the end of the video or just something someone's chucked in on the YouTube clip? Does the video really end with a publicity shot of the American Idol host and judges? What the hell is going on? Absolute sh!t. Edited February 22, 200818 yr by stenbeck212
February 23, 200818 yr Member Straight Up Now, Tell Me: Is Paula Abdul's Video Any Good? Posted Sat. Feb 23, 12:16 AM ET by Lyndsey Parker in Reality Rocks On this week's American Idol elimination episode, good-cop judge Paula Abdul premiered her first music video in more than a decade, for "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," the song she sang (or, more specifically, lip-synched) earlier this month at the Super Bowl pregame show. Now, this zippy little disco ditty is slowly but surely growing on me--kind of like a fungus, albeit a benign one. To quote her buddy judge/video co-star Randy Jackson (on whose upcoming album the song appears), it's a'ight, dawg. But as fungally infectious as "Dance" may be, I must say: This woman really has no business doling out singing advice. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Paula--but even she has to know deep down that any aspiring Idol with her half-octave range would have NEVER made it through to Hollywood, let alone the top 24. Seriously, look up the saying "Pot Calling Kettle Black" in any slang dictionary, and you'll likely see a photo of Paula telling Kady Malloy or whoever, "You had some pitch problems..." On on the plus side, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" showcases Paula's real talent--um, dancing, as the song title implies--and kudos to her that she can still shake what Mama Abdul gave her after all these years. For better or worse, Paula's early-'90s success probably paved the way for vocally challenged future superstars like Britney (also a decent dancer, but a not-so-decent singer), but chances are Britney's career won't be going as strong as Paula's when she's in her forties. If she even makes it to her forties, that is... Anyway, check out Paula's comeback video at http://www.fox.com/paula/ and see if she's got what it takes to get back in the singing game...or if she should just heed the old adage, "Those who can't sing, judge."
