The suit got tossed, and an appeals court upheld the dismissal.

That's exactly what I predicted...I studied prelaw at UCLA and no way did he have a legitimate case. The problem is ABC said in the contract "if he is needed" so obviously when he asked for his job back, the writers at AMC did not have a story for him. Plus, it was not even in writing and when it comes to offering jobs to people, you have to have it in writing. Some agreements are okay if they are verbal but with occupations it has to be written down in paper.

The court made the right move and tossed out a frivolous case.

Me too although I actually didn't mind the recast that everyone else hated. I reaqlly miss the whole Marrick's as it was their storyline (the ANgelique reveal) that really got me into the show--I loved the Gothic tone it had back then even if it was admittedly largely a retread of the early Courtland Manor story and feel

Wildwind was a great storyline back in the hay day of Edmund, Dimitri, Helga, Angelique, Erica, Maria, Anton, Kendall....that was just classic stuff and the gothic touch made it so much more mysterious and intriguing. Now it's not as strong anymore with unrelated characters to the original gang staying at the place. How are Ava, Jonathan, Del, and Aidan all related to the Maricks?
