Members applcin
For any other NYers who like the oldies, 2 years after WCBS-FM was taken off the air (after 30+ years) and replaced by JACK-FM, the station has returned to the oldies format. Seems JACK never got anywhere near enough listeners to replace the thousands who, like myself, abandoned the station's new format. (And talk about abandoned, the change 2 years ago happened without warning for both listeners and employees). Apparently, JACK is very popular in other cities but here, in NYC, the ratings tanked--the WCBS-FM listeners were alienated and the station never found a new audience. Hmmm....might be a lesson in there for soaps. http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/news/tvstation...t_id=1003608788
