  1. I'm sure the shooter will be a throwaway character like Ezra Boyle or Colette Moreau.
  2. Mike Manning finally being the chance to show why he was hired today! He was outstanding.
  3. How are we 50+ episodes in and Hayley has had little to no independent character development? She started off as one of the show's heavy hitters in the first couple of weeks due to storyline but has faded into the background more and more every subsequent week. They've made no effort to integrate the character into the canvas outside of being Bill's "child bride." It's really bothering me because I like the actress and I think she has potential. Can she get a friend or at least scenes without Bill? I'm now at the point where I like Derek more than Ashley. That's how bad things have gotten with her. The actress isn't terrible but she isn't very good either and the writing for her been abysmal.
  4. Oh he's adorable! His first big role ever and he already has the coy non-answers down pat. We love to see it. Great interviews, Errol! Evan and Giovanni seem like dolls.
  5. It was! The destruction of Valentin is a beautiful sight to behold.
  6. Yeah that's all ABC's doing lol, Liberty City just did a horizontal merge of the four key art images. The one that bugs me most is DZ. His pic stands out because it's from the prior shoot (glad they included him though) but why does Dante look so giant and tall?! Even with the intended perspective of him being in front of the others, it's still unrealistic how tall he appears.
  7. Dominic Zamprogna was the one out of town for the shoot; the pic of him in the key art is from the prior shoot. Michael Easton and Adam J. Harrington (John Cates) are the only two contract actors who were in the recent shoot and not included in the key art. Harrington is brand new to the show so I assume that's why he was left out. Easton is the only actor in the background tile photos that isn't in the cast groups. Almost as if his main pic was removed at the 11th hour... Fantastic job on the art!
  8. Today's Ava "reveal" (retcon) re: the Alexis story is just yet another example of Ava being further written into a corner. At this point, I'd be shocked if the big November sweeps story isn't a 'Who Killed Ava?' whodunit. Jinx
  9. Kate as Kristina just is not connecting for me. Being fully transparent, I was never the biggest fan of her on Days either so perhaps I'm biased, but I see a lot of posts on Twitter that seem to agree with me. I felt she started off okay but the more story they throw at her, the less I seem to care. She comes off so cold onscreen. And I know this is petty but does her particular brand of vocal fry irritate anyone else? I can't stand it lol. I know the double Davis sisters recast was out of the show's control, but there is not a single thing that Kate has been given/performed that Lexi couldn't have handled just the same. I don't know if they wanted to 'age' Kristina physically for the 'adult' story of surrogacy, but no one gives a f#!k about this surrogacy story, for many valid reasons.
  10. I don't think that's true for whether or not they speak in the clip because Days and GH have definitely blurred faces of people in the background before. They even zoomed in/cropped the shots that Josslyn was in during Willow's flashback to cut out Eden's neck and ear (quite extreme). No, once their contract is up, it's up. They would negotiate a higher rate than a day player but there would be no automatic honoring of their contract rate. That said, I believe long-standing recurring actors have higher rates and that's why they don't use them constantly.
  11. If anyone can figure out the legal terminology, below is an excerpt on flashbacks from the Network Television Code contract. My (probably incorrect) understanding is unless the actor is in the current episode making their current rate, they would have to pay a then-contract actor 100% of the "minimum program fee" or a non-contract actor 100% of their "performance fee" at the time they filmed the episode used for the flashback. No idea what any of this means but sounds...expensive. As flashbacks (brief scenes from one episode in a series used as part of a story in another episode in a series) provided that a performer in the flashback who is not otherwise engaged to perform services on the program in which the flashback is utilized shall be entitled to one-hundred percent (100%) of the applicable minimum program fee, or if not under contract at the time of such broadcast, one-hundred percent (100%) of his performance fee for the episode used in the flashback. It's also 1000% why we hardly see any actors in flashbacks that aren't in the episode themselves. A few months ago, Ava flashed back to Adam Huss as Nikolas early in the episode and that's how I knew without a doubt he'd be in the episode in new footage by the time it was over (and I was right). 😅 I want to know if the editor missed Scott Clifton in the background of today's Bobbie/Tracy flashback or if Frank knew he was there but hoped no one would notice and he wouldn't have to pay him.
  12. I didn't see Lois's original run but with the dates involved, was there much time for Jane and Rena to overlap in story? It looks like late June - early October 1996 would've been the only time they were both on the show at the same time? Did Jane have a lot of story with the second Lois?
  13. Whoa, a huge return? What is this, a major anniversary year or something?! Could've fooled me up until now! LOL. But seriously, this is great news!
  14. She was supposed to be a doctor, top of her class, but came off as a 19-year-old brat with a low IQ. Not sure if it was the actress's portrayal, the writing, or both, but good riddance. She was horribly miscast in a completely pointless role.
  15. 9/15/2023 Martin gets an unwelcome sight. This coincides with Kassie's first airdate so Blair is definitely Martin's third ex-wife.
  16. A despicable read from top to bottom. Is it possible the actress in the vile love scene part of the article is Linsey Godfrey? I know she's not the correct age cited here but maybe they're further protecting her identity. She was abruptly fired and Sarah shipped off to an island and then brought back on contract 10 months later, only to be abruptly written out again and booted to recurring a year after that. That timeline roughly matches the description in the article.
  17. This is really upsetting. If Lexi didn't want to commit/was over it, then I don't mind this. But you know damn well GH will be like, "We had to make the tough choice to move on because we want Kristina front and center and Lexi just wasn't as available as we'd hoped." Lexi would've been available if they'd given her a contract like she deserved years ago. We know damn well Kate will be on contract and heavily featured from the jump.
  18. Oh duh, I forgot she subbed in February not March. And I help you with these! Haha
  19. She had 7 with Helena Mattsson, Sofia's sister, subbing in for two episodes also!
  20. JPS is always credited first and 99% of the time is credited even if he does not appear. The only week I've seen him removed was the week of Sean Donely's memorial last year, where they needed his slot for someone else. For the other six actors credited, the only pattern that I've noticed is that if an actor doesn't appear that week, they'll delete their name from whatever spot they're in and replace their name with someone else. So from one week to the next, you'll notice the people that appear in both set of credits are in the same spot. But if they get deleted from the list and re-added in a later week, they'll be in a different spot, taking over from someone else who was deleted. Does that make sense? Therefore, the credit order is definitely completely meaningless but not completely random, lol.
  21. Really bummed about Abigail. I really grew to love what Marci was putting down in her latest return. Why is Ron so obsessed with killing vets/legacy characters? He did this at GH (Duke and AJ anyone?) and has been killing important female characters on Days every six months now too. What evidence is there that RSW/Ben is done taping? Just curious because I'm hoping it's true. VK unfollowed RSW on Instagram weeks ago. There was speculation they were dating and broke up. I'm guessing that could be a factor in them being written out?
  22. The cast chart in the makeup room still shows Abby as part of the cast earlier this month and they film months in advance. So I assume fakeout? https://www.facebook.com/Jason47s-Days-Website-137323003076649/photos/2293477677461160
  23. I have no tea but I bet they'll do something in February, the 15th anniversary of the character's passing.
  24. I always forget you are Britt's like one and only detester. Roger and Kirsten have some chemistry but you're right, their ages are awkward and their characters together even more so.
