B&B: Maya being transgender. Now this was probably less of a risk and more of a gimmick to put spotlight on the show, but no matter what it had no payoff long term.
Were Rick and Myra still together when they left the show?

I feel the same about the killing of Alan Quartermaine. Why lose a strong actor and vital living character only to keep bringing them back for tired ghostly appearances?

I love that way of phrasing it.
As the announcer spoke that, Marj tossed back her head and let out one of her inimitable little vocalizations.
Just now, John said:Also Jane Elliot
That woman got offered everything.

JLB is the name I remember reading years ago, and later, SSH.

Robin and Beverlee are also so incredibly physically different. Of course they have that original recipe Rachel and Iris connection, AW’s two most famous devious women, but this would have been a quintessential example of “so-and-so is playing an altogether new character”.

B&B is airing as I type this. If I’m not careful, this show is going to take over too many hours of my day with the current, from the beginning, and Pluto eps airing. I’m a little frustrated with the Pluto website. I can’t find a full schedule, it only appears to show what’s airing at the moment. Any help?

I am so looking forward to seeing Erika Slezak again.

Yes, Robin believes this is the source of JFP’s beef with her. Robin said that a member of the soap press saw her leaving CBS after her meeting with Jill. She had promised OLTL first refusal so to speak if she ever decided to return to daytime. So she headed over to ABC and Linda Gottlieb took a meeting with her. Linda wasn’t familiar with Robin but she had big plans for the 25th anniversary. Linda’s decision to take Robin on was based on Robin’s strong history with the show and the reputation of her talent.

Never been a fan of replacing established characters with younger actors. Nicole on Edge of Night comes to mind
Robin Strasser said on her hotline that this is what she and JFP talked about doing with Alex on GL, they planned to youthen the role. Michael Zaslow championed Robin for the part, Robin took the meeting, and was pretty much set to take over after Beverlee McKinsey’s departure.0 -

The Real is featuring cast members of Potomac each episode this week. I have not watched the show but I have met GB and her lovely daughters in my shop in Maryland. I have seen clips and I can attest that she is so much sweeter than they have portrayed her to be; I don't quite get it but I guess if I watch the show I'd have a better idea?

I appreciated today’s focus on Abe, and John and Marlena without weaving in other storylines.

That’s how they did it back in the ‘90s as well. Deidre’s altered voice sounds eerily like Drake’s.

I’m still playing catch up. Paris’ fantasy with Finn and the sunblock was tew much.
Quinn’s, “For crying out loud, Shawna. What are you, the door police?” lives in my head rent free.

Robert (Bob) Krimmer aka Wortham Krimmer. Wortham is his former wife’s last name. He talked about taking her name in a SOD interview back in the ‘90s.

I remember reading that the name change was Vanessa Marcil’s idea. Maybe she didn’t want to be the Baker’s wife.

That scurry cracked me up too.

Agnes Nixon refused to hire a white actress for the role which had almost always been the case for dramatized depictions of this subject matter. Fredi Washington being the most famous exception.

Unless they make it eligible due to how long the episodes were in length, "Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem" would compete with the likes of "The Bay" and "Beacon Hill" in the Limited Series category, as part of the Daytime Fiction segment.
Thank you, Errol!

Warren Burton must have been quite a character.
Janice Lynde on her former co-star (Another World). He was Jason Dunlap, her crooked music promoter.
I Loved working with Warren! One of the finest Actors, EVER, and he had a wonderfully, dark sense of humor. And he was a great FRIENDHe used to take his Emmy, like a dog, out for a walk, down Broadway
That’s funny, I had an idea for a skit with Susan Lucci doing that.

I just checked on Paramount, I have allowed myself to get 42 episodes behind. It was so easy for me to breeze through a week of episodes in a night, I got lazy. Here we go…

Do you guys remember those scenes Ben and Ciara had with the tour guide in NOLA? They talked about the history of enslaved people building the property, as well as accountability/reconciling with the past. Their last scene ended on this spooky note of foreshadowing (at least to me), and this was before I knew about Possession 2.0. I admit my gut reaction was, “Lord Je… please do not tell me black ghosts are following these two back to Salem.” I mean my mind really went to some pseudo woke type paranormal storyline. Did anyone else get similar vibes, or was it all just about Ben Ben Ben and his fear of passing his genes onto a child?
