At this point I hope he's got Secret Service protection.

The business community wants to stay in the accords. The only people who want to leave are the members of his drooling base. Frankly his pulling out would be a gift to the Resistance because it would screw up the stock market and start turning some of his corporate sycophants against him.

No not yet. He's doing that reality show thing where he acts like he might. Remember this is a thing the White House always does when Donnie has a string of failures. They leak an upcoming EO or some other disastrous thing to get everybody all worked up. How many times have we heard about an impending EO on LGBT rights? When he has policy failures he ratchets up the culture wars stuff to make his base feel good.

FiveThrityEight reminds me why I lost faith in them this election. A whole long piece on black turnout and not one mention of voter suppression.

I know small children who act more mature. This fool has no self control at all.

It's blatantly obvious that the entire Repub apparatus has been compromised. That's part of the reason I'm okay with this investigation taking a long time. This thing obviously goes far and deep. Once this is over, principled conservatives are going to have to work to rebuild their party. The problem is that even the principled ones had no problem trafficking in lies and bullsh!t before Trump. Once he's gone, I'm afraid they'll easily slide back into that role.

Perhaps but it's not like I invented the theory. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_theory Both the alt right and alt left are fueled by white men who feel like they are losing power. They may have different beliefs but the psychology is the same. Both groups are willing to erode rights in order to get what they want.

Not surprised. At this point I'm hoping NATO countries start funding the resistance.

Of course the Berniacs want to downplay Russia. They benefited from the interference. Any attempt to moderate the message just gets us called "the elite" or "corporate shills." That's why there's not going to be any unity. Bernie hates Democrats. He hates us more than Republicans. Now we're finding out that the murderer in Portland was a Bernie supporter who then flipped to Trump. We're going to see more and more of that. Google "horseshoe theory." The difference between the alt right and the alt left is negligible. In both cases it's feed by toxic masculinity and white supremacy.

We've got to stop hoping there's going to be some magic event that makes these people regret what they did. If they were capable of that level of reasoning they never would've voted for that fraud to begin with. We need to keep reminding them of their foolishness but stop expecting they'll own up to it.

I'm always amazed at people who jump into conversations and just start showing their ass. What kind of lousy home training does it take to come out the gate with insults and threats? We've got way too many people in this country with no self-control. You see it with all these viral videos of people popping off in stores and on planes. What these folks call "political correctness" used to be referred to as acting like a functional adult.

Well as you can see by the dick swinging above it's their default setting. The right wing is all about authoritarianism and crushing dissent. They prefer to rule, not govern which is part of the reason Donnie's been such a dismal failure. Of course, what Donnie also shows us is how many of these keyboard warriors talk tough then fold like a lawn chair in a tornado when faced with real opposition. Then they run around the corner and start trash talking all over again.

Is it wrong that I want them to bring back George Clooney as Booker? That's actually one of my favorite TV moments. I like how Roseanne just gives Dan a look and he simply walks out. No words and the audience was allowed to figure it out on our own.

It's the toddler-like preening he does that just chafes my ass. But I do enjoy the way he lifts his head in an attempt to minimize his old man neck.

I've never heard of the Working Families Party. A quick Google tells me they aren't active in Ohio. Might as well give them a look.

A lot of the people beating the drum of failure, on both the left and the right, are heavily invested in that narrative. Also, it tends to be pushed by people who simply don't pay attention to downballot races.
