I don't think Darlene and David need or even should be together. David can be on the show without them together but we know inevitably it will end up there ... lol

Maybe Andrea [Sarah Chalke] returns, leaves her husband and hooks up with David. LOL. Sarah's Becky and David definitely had a little chemistry.

I wasn't home Tuesday night so I haven't watched this week's episode yet. I know! lol.

I had thought they were going to draw out his relationship with Blue a while longer and then have Darlene eventually end up breaking those two up. I was surprised when they had them try and get back together so quickly and then break up again. I was also surprised that Roseanne didn't want them back together romantically as she loves David. (And in that episode it seemed like at first she did want them back together.)

I also wonder if we will see Andrea again. I think it would have been better if she had been a neighbor or some type of family member.

With that said, I'm wondering if Darlene is getting any sort of child support from David.. or getting unemployment from her previous job (did the show mention what she was doing that caused her to get laid off... it sounds like it was a decent job if she was living with her two children in Chicago).

I was wondering too if David was paying child support or at least giving some money to her to help out sometimes. Especially since she's had to move in with Dan and Roseanne, who are now currently unable to fully pay all of their bills. David should be helping out in some way. Even if it's just giving her some money, and doing things like taking her/the kids grocery shopping sometimes.

Roseanne did mention that Darlene got a severance check in the mail, but I don't know if she's getting unemployment or not. I also wonder when we might see her get another job.

  3. I enjoyed tonight's show and have been enjoying the show in general. I thought that the storyline with Roseanne's Muslim neighbors was good. I am glad that she got a better understanding of who they were as people. I also liked that she defended the wife when the cashier was being prejudiced towards her. Also, I am glad that they showed DJ's wife. I think that was good casting and she looks like she could be Mary's mother.

And I like how this show addresses that there are families out there who are struggling financially. A lot of tv shows don't really address this. They portray families as being able to basically afford what they want without any financial struggles. And it's not representative of what a lot of families go through financially.

  4. I enjoyed tonight's two episode premiere. It was very warm and familiar. The acting from the cast was very natural. I thought that the episodes had a nice mixture of comedy and some drama.

I don't care for Becky's storyline but I am enjoying most of the storylines so far. I am looking forward to learning more about DJ and his family.

  5. I enjoyed tonight's fall finale of Empire. There was quite a bit of action going on. I am liking this nicer, more improved version of Lucious. I like seeing him show genuine concern for Andre.

I also liked seeing Trai Bryers get a chance to show off his vocals a bit. I knew he could sing in real life but wasn't sure if the producers would ever include him doing that somehow in the show. I had figured if they did, it would be by having Dre have some sort of fantasy of him singing.

I am glad that the Lyons exposed Mama Dubois and that Hakeem got Bella back. Not surprised by how things ended with Angelo and am interested in seeing how Jamal deals with the fallout from that. I am also interested in seeing what happens with unhinged Claudia and Lucious.

something definitely seemed off. This dude is crazy and just confessed to murder and you are gonna taunt him as if he wouldnt kill you? Then there was her arresting him alone right then and there instead of getting a warrant and coming back with backup. I thought Lee just did this for dramatic effect but didnt expect her to be a hallucination

Well, I just assumed she could really handle herself though or since she mentioned Vegas maybe she was a mob enforcer type from that point on.

I just kept thinking prior to those very last scenes and that reveal that she is playing him and trying to trick him into confessing. I never trusted her but I didn't expect that ending. I agree that twist at the end of tonight's episode with Dre/Pamela was definitely "wow". It made me think a bit of the Twilight Zone when it was happening.

I thought that Trai did a really good job playing those scenes. Poor Andre. I am glad that his parents are being there for him. I like this more sensitive Lucious. I hope he keeps this part of his personality as he reconciles his memories of his past.

It's time for them to really handle Mama Dubois. I think that they might really dig into her past and expose all the dirt they can find on her and her family publicly. I could see them really embarrassing her publicly in front of her friends/associates and sullying her family's name and legacy. Maybe she's also backstabbing some friends/associates and they will expose that as well. They can make it so that no one will want to associate with her or the Dubois family.

  7. Some shows I thought were cancelled too soon were Reunion on Fox: I loved this show and how it was about a mystery and tried to chronicle the life of six friends over 20 years. Unfortunately it only got like 13 episodes and only 9 of them were shown in the US before it was cancelled.

Life on Mars (The American Version) (2008-2009) I thought this was another good show that dealt with different time periods that was cancelled too soon.

And the comedy Out All Night (1993). I felt like this show should have fared better. It was modern for it's time and had a nice cast. If it had came a few years later maybe UPN would have rescued it, like they did  In the House.

  8. I am glad that the citizens of Charlottesville chased away Jason Kessler. He is an evil racist coward, who can't take getting his comeuppance for the damage he has helped caused. Jason, Richard Spencer and others from this racist group need to be held accountable for the destruction they have caused. I hope they get chased all the way out of town.Their views and actions are disgusting and so is them infiltrating Charlottesville. Unite the Right thought they could try and take over in that smaller community but I am glad they are learning otherwise.

That finale was good until the last minute.

    Really?!? SERIOUSLY?!!!???

That said...I'm all ready for the DuBois v the Lyons next season with all those revenge plans that Mama has up her sleeve.

And DEAD at Boo Boo Kitty getting set up with that hot sauce being delivered being the cherry on top.

I remember when I pitched the idea on this board about a rival family (with a couple of yall agreeing with me) to go against the Lyons. I'm feeling like Lee Daniels and Co. might've listened and created the DuBois clan. I've liked them so far, and now Jamal quite likely has a new love interest in the form of that dark chocolate sexy crooner who serenaded him in the finale. I believe it'll start out that the DuBois hottie is duping Jamal only to realize that he really does have genuine feelings for Jamal after getting to know him. This sets up that old-fashioned soapy "Romeo and Juliet" dynamic with them falling for each other while their families are duking it out. Just how does Jamal end up landing all of these smokin' guys anyway?

I think that most of the scenes involving Cookie and Lucious would have been fitting in a series finale, except for scenes like Andre still scheming behind their backs and the very last scene.  Maybe in the very last season they will be able to finally "be happy" together and walk off into the sunset together.

I am looking forward to seeing more of the Dubois family too and seeing the Lyons vs the DuBois. At first I wasn't thrilled that Mrs. Dubois was behind Bella being kidnapped, but I think that going forward the rivarly between these two families could end up being very interesting and soapy. It looks like they may not have intended to even keep Bella for that long considering how quickly Anika showed up to get her. I do wonder how long Anika knew they had her, and I hope the Lyons eventually find out about her involvement with the Dubois.

I like how they haven't done anything super dark and seem to be more sophisticated/slick with their scheming. I like that they probably aren't going to go so far as to make plans to kill anybody but they do want some sort of payback. I wonder what they want Hakeem to do for them in the future. I am interested in what happens with the male twin Dubois as well. I enjoyed listening to him singing, I would rather hear him sing than a lot of other artists at Empire, lol. I thought it was amusing how he was critical of his performance because I thought he sounded good. I also noticed that at open mike night that he was announced with a different last name. I wonder if he lied about his name, or goes by a different last name than Dubois. Maybe his mother was Angelo's father's sister and he has his father's last name. I think that him and his twin sister may be Angelo's cousins.

Also, on a side note I noticed after looking at the open mike scene again, that Becky was with that former military guy she met at the Casino. Good for her. I think he's cute.

  10. I thought that last night’s episode was really good. It almost seemed more like a series finale than a season finale. I thought that a lot of interesting things were going on and that there are a lot of things to look forward to for next season.

Anika has shown once again that she can’t be completely trusted. I wonder how long Anika knew about Bella being with the Dubois. Maybe she set it up for them to take her to get her away from the Lyons. I could see her doing that, especially after Lucious/Cookie threatened her and used her to get Tariq off their backs. I don’t feel sorry for her even though Grandma Lyon is framing her for Tariq’s murder. I also wonder what the Dubois are going to have Hakeem do for them in exchange in letting him reunite with Bella. I think that them being more incorporated in the show is going to be interesting and I wonder how many plans of revenge they are going to enact against the Lyons. I think that the male twin Dubois is interesting and that he has a nice voice.

I liked how Cookie and Lucious reunited and I thought the way he treated her was sweet. It was nice that Jamal was in on making sure that the “When Cookie met Lucious” album would be the one that was going to be released first and showcased at the Casino. I think he has always secretly and even openly at times supported his parents being together. Also, I thought that Cookie’s childhood boyfriend Barry showing up was a really nice moment. It brought things full circle for Cookie and Lucious. I was glad to see that Barry had done well for himself and had a nice family. I liked how his situation inspired Lucious and Cookie to decide to reunite and travel together.

I also liked the way Lucious/Cookie finally gave Andre his due.  Unfortunately, Andre couldn’t stop his plan from going through in time, but at least he knows that they really do love and value him. I also liked how the show didn’t leave us completely hanging at the end and flash forwarded three months. I wonder how long Lucious will be dealing with his memory loss and what changes will occur in this time. Maybe his whole personality will change.

  11. Regarding last week's episode:

I enjoyed Candace's husband. I thought he was likeable and not snobby at all. They seem like they get along well and I like how he was trying to support her family in their plan.

It was nice seeing Lucious and Tariq getting together even though it was short-lived. I had a feeling something bad was going to happen when Lucious and Tariq were sitting down and bonding and Tariq was kind of taking his time revealing to Lucious the truth about Bella. I wish they would have kept Tariq around and let him help the Lyons get baby Bella back. Grandma Lyons was very scary and dark. In earlier episodes it seemed like she was okay with Tariq. He's always been respectful towards her and I think she even told him that he reminded her of his and Lucious's father (in a good way). But maybe she always resented him or they decided to have her really resent him and get rid of him. I like Leslie Uggams, but after what Grandma did to Tariq,  I feel like she needs to be sent away again. She's very dangerous.

I wonder how long Eva Longoria's character Charlotte will be around. I thought that Cookie telling Andre "Andre I'm your mama" when he was trying to tell her about seducing Charlotte and his plan was kind of funny. At least Cookie/Andre were spending some time together. I wonder what exactly Andre's plan is now and how many more people he will end up working over. He told Lucious at the Casino that he was there to warn him about Cookie, but then towards the end of the episode he told Cookie about his plan regarding Charlotte. He may be trying to work both sides to get what he want. I also wonder what may become of the escalating conflict between him and Shine.

I also wonder what Mrs. Dubious plans are regarding Bella. Keeping her in the city is risky. Especially with Hakeem ready to pounce on anyone with a baby that he thinks even remotely resembles Bella. I wonder what the Dubios family has to say about the newest addition and how Angelo is handling keeping the secret so far.

I am looking forward to watching tonight's finale.

I like the innocence and sweetness of Nessa and Andre. He needs some lightness shone on the darkness he battles. It worked for me. You're right about Anika and cookie. Anika has an innocence about her that just makes her seem like she's not  Cookie's contemporary. I think they struggle to find a reason to keep her on the show. But that's a different conversation.

I really want to build up the Dubois family. I'd love for Juliana to marry into that family. Her or Anika.

I loved Cookie and Angelo. I wanted them to last longer too. I don't mind Cookie showing she wants lucious. It's been made obvious that he'd do anything to be with her. So I don't think she looks pathetic for pining for him.

I think that Andre latched onto Nessa, because she was really just the first woman around after he lost Rhonda. I think he mostly wanted companionship and was trying to cope with grieving Rhonda. I wish he would have met Juliana (or someone else first) and then that relationship could have blossomed into something serious and real. . I don't like the darker turn he's taken and I think his interaction with Shine has a lot to do with that. There's something very gangster-like with the way that Andre is acting these days. He's always been manipulative and sneaky but he is doing some really dark stuff this season. Like witnessing a shooting (Juliana's husband Rafael) and setting other people up to be beat/maybe killed (Angelo, Lil Romeo's character Gram). I wish he wasn't participating in these types of things. Heck, I don't think that any Lyon son should be doing stuff like this. I expect this stuff from Cookie/Lucious at times,  but I feel like the boys should be kept out of it. I am glad that Jamal isn't doing these things and that Cookie is also trying to Hakeem away from these activities as well.

Also I enjoyed the scene when the DuBois family was facing off with the Lyons family at the table. I wonder who exactly all of the relatives sitting at the table were. I don't like them being involved with taking Bella and believe they could have been kept on the show without them doing that. I would have liked for them to have been innocent of that and Cookie and Angelo eventually  become more amicable with each other. I wish she wouldn't have broken up with him so abruptly.  I would have liked to have seen her more conflicted in regards to her feelings for him, in addition to dealing with her feelings about Lucious. I wish she would have accepted his proposal and attempted to try and build a life with him. She still could have sparred with Julianna while planning a wedding with Angelo and before probably eventually reuniting with Lucious. Maybe Julianna will eventually start seeing Angelo or something.

I think that Lucious knows that Cookie has feelings for him, but he's just playing with her right now. I don't care to see that, especially knowing that she broke up with another good man for him. I would rather just see the writers put Cookie/Lucious back together and let them be a ride-or die couple long-term than to see Cookie break up with more good men. Maybe eventually they will do that next season or by season 5. They are already trying to speed up the divorce with Anika. Maybe that will facilitate a longer term Cookie/Lucious reunion.

I'm really loving season 3. It's about as good as season 1 IMO. The addition if the dibois adds something to the show. I'm digging that old money vs New money battle. However, I'm not sure I buy that Lyons  don't have similar connections to get a child out of CPS or with the tire chief. I felt like these were things Lucious would have been able to do himself based on past stories

Juliana is very sexy. Nia Long is gorgeous and plays a vamp/vixen to perfection. This is the first time I've seen her play a darker/scheming character. It's fun.

I liked Nessa and Andre. I thought he was sincere with her. I was a bit disappointed to find out he wasn't. Assuming it's not his illness making him behave this way with her. It was surprising how easily Cookie accepted he was trying to murder Lucious. You'd think she'd have him committed after that.  Trai Byers is a star. That scene with Andre confronting Anika was menacing and scary.  It could have easily gone into cheesy but he made that work. It was really a big screen level performance from him. Well done. I still say killing Rhonda was the best thing for his character.

Hakeem still annoys the mess out of me. That is all.

Jamal is still a singing saint. I'm over him.

It's nice to see Lucious isn't invincible. He was becoming a cartoon villain. The Dubois were needed to make him the protagonist again versus being a thorn in his family's side who is also omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent.

I think that that Julianna is a good adversary for Cookie. She is sexy and beautiful and she can definitely hold her own against Cookie. Much better than Anika could IMHO.I would rather see Andre with Julianna than with Nessa. I don't care for him and Nessa. Nessa seems too "young" for him and I don't think she can fully handle him. I think he's too much man for her, lol. I thought that Trai did a really good job in his scene with Anika, and I don't feel sorry for Anika. I think he should have confronted her a while ago and she should pay in some way for killing his family. Even if it was just Andre trying to get her thrown in jail for pushing Rhonda. I hope that Bella is returned safely but I would like to see Anika get punished in some way. (Beyond being upset that Bella was taken).

I like the Dubois family but am disappointed that they had a hand in Bella being taken away. I wish they would have been above that. For a bit there I thought that Andre was behind it, which would have made sense, though would have hurt his relationship with his family. They could have also have had Tariq behind it. I wouldn't have minded a storyline where an on-the-run Tariq calls CPS about Bella and the Lyons fight to get her back. I would have liked if Angelo would have tried to help Cookie find her because he loves Cookie.

Also, I don't like the way that they have been writing Cookie the last few episodes. I think she's coming across as weak with the way she dumped Angelo and is now pining over Lucious, while he continues to do whatever he wants to do. I wish they would have let her and Angelo be happy for a while and actually get engaged. They could have had them working together (along with Lucious) to find Bella. Then some time next season they could have planned their wedding, only to possibly have it be interrupted in a dramatic fashion. (Or actually have them go through with it.) I don't like how Cookie is not allowed to be happy for very long with good men that love her. (Malcolm/Angelo). While Lucious continues to do whatever he wants to do with whoever.

  14. Season 2 of Greenleaf returns tonight. I am looking forward to watching it, though it is also airing the same time as Underground which I also like. I hope both these shows still do well in ratings even though they are both competiting against each other.

    Why  would Andre hold Bella??

I could understand him having uneasiness about being around her because of the things that happened between Rhonda and Anika. But he did tell Hakeem that he believed he could be a good father and seemed like was supporting him trying to be a father to Bella. So maybe Andre doesn't necessarily have any ill feelings towards Bella. Heck, he hasn't even gone after Anika in any way for revenge and didn't even target her in the cyber attack against Empire. So he might technically be okay with being around Bella. (Even though he really hasn't been shown around her).

I think it's interesting how no one outside of Lucious/Anika and Hakeem and Cookie briefly have been shown around/talking about Bella. Even if Andre didn't want to be around her, I think that at least Jamal would come see her/ask about her more. But the family outside of a few people are barely acknowledging her.

I binge watched the first 5 episodes of the season last night. And I loved it. It finally feels like the show I liked last season. Good and the bad. LOL. Cookie is less of a caricature. Lucious is still evil but has soft moments, which are very much needed so that he won't look a total sociopath.

I agree about the complaints about Rhonda and how fast they moved on. I liked Rhonda but realized the need to get rid of her. Andre was kinda boxed in being married to her. Now he is single and there are far more possibilities with his character. I am enjoying the reboot for him. He needed and has gotten far more focus this season cause of it. One of the biggest changes is now he and Hakeem can fight over women, which is a soap staple. I am sure the show would have loved to have Jamal and Hakeem do this. I noticed last night that their on air fight focused mainly on Jamal and Hakeem when Hakeem's anger was about Andre taking Hakeem's "girl". So if they could, they would. But alas, Jamal is gay. So they have no choice but to use Andre in this role. I can also see them killing Rhonda for the female demos, specifically for black women. He's is the hottest guy on the show. Fantasies must be fulfilled. And I like Nessa. She has a young Cookie vibe going. But I doubt she lasts past this season.

Angelo Dubois is a great character. I appreciate the show giving viewers another side of wealthy blackness. It is subculture that I could see some young black people might not know much about.  I grew up in rural south. One of the poorest counties in this country and I had no clue until one day when I was in college I purchased "Our Kind of People" by Lawrence Otis Graham from the bookstore  with my book stipend scholarship money. It was eye opening. So the Oaks Bluffs, Jack and Jill references were spot on. It'd be interesting to see Lucious' power collide with Angelo's power. I just do not want Angelo ruined and destroyed for Lucious to look like "the man".

I feel an Anika and Lucious hook up coming. DO! NOT! WANT! Angelo could have been a child hood boyfriend of hers that she reconnects with after the inevitable Cookie and Lucious reunion. She can convince him to fund her music dreams. He can be written to agree because of his vendetta with Lucious. If the Lyons must have a rival family then the Dubois are it.

I was hoping that Rhonda would be alive. I had thought they would have both women survive but show one hanging over the ledge before she got rescued.( I think that the aftermath of Rhonda's death has been rushed but I am okay with Andre and Nessa)

I actually think that Anika is getting to the point to where she doesn't serve much of a purpose. Hardly anyone really cares about her or Bella. Lucious and her seem to be the only ones that really cares about Bella. Hakeem hasn't been shown visiting Bella often and doesn't talk about her much. I don't think Andre or even Jamal have ever been shown holding her. I believe Cookie visited her once or twice. None of them seem that interested in her.  I wish they wouldn't have made Anika become pregnant with Hakeem's baby. He really doesn't seem like he's ready to be a father.

I think it's kind of telling that Anika's baby ended up being a girl instead of a boy. If the baby was a male heir I feel like more people would pay attention to the child. I feel like making the baby a girl may have been done to lessen the child's importance to the family.

I also hope Anika doesn't end back up with Lucious. I could actually see her getting with Shine. They are interacting more and he seems to like her.

Also, I really like Angelo too. He's different in a good way. I think he's also sexy and I like how he treats Cookie. I would like to see him and her last a while. I think that if this were a daytime soap they would get a shot to be together for a while. But this show doesn't really let Cookie have a romantic relationship with a good man (or even Lucious since she's been out of prison) for a significant amount of time. I wish that would change with Angelo. Also, I have noticed (unless I missed it) that she hasn't been shown kissing him on the lips yet. She is always dodging kisses from him. I think that is deliberate on the part of the show.

I also like Jamal's counselor friend who is helping him with his PTSD. I think he is kind of sexy in a serious straight forward type of way. But I do not like trifling D-Major, lol.

  17. I read that Third Party Candidates like Gary Johnson got over 266,000 votes in FL. That is more than the difference of votes between Hillary and Donald (around 134,000). Those votes could definitely have made a difference.

  18. I am glad to see that Hilary is now leading in NC. I'm from there and went to vote with my dad this morning. Hardly anybody was at our voting site. I wonder how the turnout will end up being in the state(and also other states).

  19. I have to agree ajsp.  I am really enjoying Greenleaf and hope there are no more Oprah less eppies.

The only challenge I have it with Jacob and Carissa.  What are we supposed to be getting from these 2?  I think their marital woes and counseling is OTT.  Why are they in counseling anyhow?

And I'm gonna need it explained why Grace is biracial!

Just when I thought that there wasn’t much hope for their marriage, it looks like the writers have put them back together. I think that it’s harder to get a good read on them, because Jacob seems so directionless and dumb, lol. He doesn’t seem to know what he wants, and he doesn’t really seem to feelings about anything. Does he love his wife, his mistress? Does he really anybody, lol (besides his children)? Maybe tonight’s scenes between him and Karissa are the start of them repairing their marriage.

I want to know what Lady Mae has against Grace. I thought that scene when Grace asked her if she loved her was interesting. Also, I think that Charity seems really sweet. I like that her and the new choir director are bonding. I wonder if he will hint to her he thinks that Kevin is also gay, or maybe he will be there for her as support, once she finds out that Kevin is gay.

  20.

Charity and Kevin are sweet. I mean he helunk ass to pee on. That's intimacy. It's a shame they are making him gay. I'm invested in them. By the way, am I the only one who thought that sex was not apart of their usual routine. Like they've never had sex or rarely ever. Something about eating ice cream and watching the bachelor was off. Well, charity is surely to rise in her mother's estimation when the baby news gets out.

i actually wish they would not make him gay either. I like him and Charity together. He is sweet and overall seems refreshingly regular and down to earth. I would have liked to have seen them stay together and him be the one person in the family that is pretty balanced and that is supportive of his wife in spite of her insecurities and her family issues.  Maybe they will still end up being good friends and co-parents even if they separate.

  21. Do any of you think James & Darlene are a couple? I don't get that vibe, I get more so of a Mac/Liz Matthews friendship from Another World. I seen some others say they are a couple and having an affair.

Grace did give him a bit of a funny look when he was teasing Darlene. It was kind of similar to the look that both James and Grace gave Jacob when they saw him interact with the assistant. They both looked like they thought something was going on with Jacob and that lady.

James seemed kind of playful when he was teasing Darlene and hopefully that's all there is too it.  They may have their issues, but I would rather he and Lady Mae have a faithful and mostly stable relationship.

  22. I would say Faith was her favorite. I mean we never saw her but also that could just be a mother grieving and realizing that she'll never see her child or why did she have to bury her child and not the other way around.

My only thing with Jacob that I laugh continuously about when they show it in the upcoming season previews is when he says to the Bishop, "You're going to make her pastor." or something like that. I mean you don't want it, don't want anything to do with the church half the time and then in that moment when you find out his plans you look like someone stole your dog. I simply can't with him.

I think it would be interesting if she had a favorite and it was indeed Faith. I could see that. Maybe we'll find out she liked Faith the best. Even though she was upset when Faith's life went downhill and she ran around with the wrong crowd. Maybe Faith was the person in the family that everyone could turn to.

Grace seems to really care about Faith as well. And even Grace's daughter seems to connect with comments Faith had made in the past, when she was listening to a CD of Faith talking.

I wonder if there is anything that Jacob really cares about. I guess his children. We found out that him and Kerrissa have another child, their little boy. Maybe he at least loves his children, even though his daughter needs some serious guidance.

I think that he could end up getting one dimensional real quick, if he is just written as the disinterested, cheating son. Maybe they will reveal he wishes he had a different type of career and he will try and pursue that. That might help his character and his development.

  23.  I loved how Kerissa could NOT take the hint and JUST. STOP. PUSHING the subject of Grace and the church. I mean, your husband is sooooooooooo disinterested in basically everything... he rather got ass with his side-piece than sit in the pulpit while his father preached. My only thought is that she wants to eventually be First Lady THAT bad and doesn't care how she gets to the top.

I think that the main reason that Lady Mae may not like Kerrisa is because she is so forceful and tries to be so domineering. I think that Lady Mae finds that offputting.

Even the preachers that her and Jacob went to dinner with found one of her interactions with Jacob offputting. (The female preacher gave her a funny look at the scene where he said that she was making fun of is father). I wonder what is driving her so hard to push for her husband to have more power in the church.

Especially since he doesn't seem interested. Maybe she does want to be First Lady that badly. Heck, she might as well just try and gain a bigger role in the church herself, by getting more involved with it. She might have a better shot of doing that, than trying to push for Jacob who no one respects.

I am ready to see the sibling interaction between Mae, Mavis, and Mac and to see who is closer to Grace: Charity (don't seem like her) or Jacob.

Yeah, after that table outburst I'd love to see that too with the kids. I mean Jacob clearly doesn't care one way or another. He seems to like his sister judging by their small interactions but at the end of the day, they're just that... small.

Kerissa and Jacob seem like mother and child or anything else under the sun but husband and wife. Even the way he said "Yes ma'am." to her was just...  I just don't get why she is pushing this ministry so much. I wonder if the Deacon's don't respect him because he seems so aloof from the church. He's more interested in getting in that woman's panties. I'm hoping for a side piece pregnancy!

I think that Kerrissa and Jacob come off as more like mother and child than husband and wife too. At the very least bossy big sister and little brother. She acts much older than him. She's too hard for him IMHO. I wonder if might actually be in love with his mistress. I wonder how the writers might try and save Kerissa and Jacob's marriage.

I do think that based off the small interaction between them that we saw, that Jacob does like his sister. I think he doesn't really care about anything, but that he likes Grace.

I wonder who Lady Mae's favorite child is. Grace definitely seems to be Bishops favorite child. Lady Mae doesn't seem to care for Grace much or even like Charity a whole lot. Maybe her favorite child is Jacob or maybe it was actually Faith, in spite of Faith running in the wrong crowds. Or maybe she does not even have a favorite child, and is disappointed in each of her children for various reasons.

  24. I enjoyed tonight’s new episodes. I like how they were paced. They seemed a bit more settled in.

I had thought that the writers might make Kevin gay. Or maybe he is bisexual. Either way I could see him realizing he is attracted/has feelings for that dude at the outreach and that causing problems for him and Charity’s marriage. It doesn’t seem like he knows who he is really is yet, but he and Charity are starting to get more clues. I’m glad that he is not running around cheating on Charity like Jacob is doing to Kerissa. I do believe he really doesn’t want to hurt and cares about Charity regardless of how this story plays out.

I wonder what will happen with Kerissa and Jacob. Hardly anyone really seems to like Kerissa, including Jacob. She comes across as such a pitbull and hungry for power in the church. And no one seems to respect Jacob, including people at his own church. He seems like he’s very disinterested about taking on a bigger role in the church.  Maybe they will end up going their separate ways. They definitely need to be paying more attention to their daughter. I think that she could end up getting Grace’s daughter into all types of trouble.

I still wonder what Lady Mae’s issues with Grace are, but her and the Bishop seem to have most stable relationship so far of everyone on this show. I also am enjoying Oprah’s role as Aunt Mavis.
