Too bad they didn’t provide viewership data of the show to add into the US figures.

Huge AW fan here, I remember reading back in the 90s that AW was hugely popular in Canada. Did they cite with reasons of why such popularity?

Loved the 12/30 episode and it felt like the old nostalgic "Love in the Afternoon"- 1) Molly & Cody good pairing with lots of potentials; 2) Kai & Trina, time to bring back Spencer (the grownup of Nicolas Bechtel) to implode this boring couple; 3) Lulu & Nate, hmmmm sensing some hot chemistry there; 4) Carly & Valentin, they have good chemistry but it'll be interesting to see where it goes next; 5) Britch & Jason, finally! Poor Jason needs some R&R if we're not pairing them then send him back with Elizabeth; 6) Jordan & Curtis, I like them and looking forward to the Jodan/Curtis/Portia/Isaiah however need to "beef" up Isaiah background perhaps his Gannon parents from OLTL (?) come to town to balance out this story; and FINALLY for 7) Gio & Emma. Supercouple in the MAKING! Fight me on this if you don't agree. Happy New Year's to ALL! Onward to 2026!

Interesting to see demo/viewership strong for Price is Right, Let's Make a Deal and The View. I guess the younger crowd likes the "live", "viral-like" or "in the moment" shows aka TikTok friendly. Just wish ABC would move GMA3 to 900 behind GM to compete with TODAY 3rd Hour, they would certainly see more viewers there. 1pm slot is such a turnoff for any news program especially going up against Y&R and B&B. This is a perfect opportunity for ABC Daytime to bring back one of the soaps or launch a new soap to pair up with GH. I.e. All My Children sequel, GH: Night Shift or give Ryan Quan a next generation soap to create with a strong executive producer to assist.

I wished the network would unveil the streaming data as we know that some of the streaming companies do not archive all the episodes as they keep it back dated for 10 days or so unlike other non-daytime shows that they have all seasons to watch. I've seen posts, reports and sources that "General Hospital" does very well at Hulu against all programs including the movies. Certainly, if Nielsen would include streaming data into all four broadcast soaps, they would be much higher. I've seen "Days of Our Lives" would pop up time to time doing well at Peacock but they've been renewing the show a couple of times and promoting which I believe is a good thing. Not sure about CBS's streaming popularity via Paramount/CBS. I am seeing the trend of the sole demos may become archaic sooner or later across the board as they're incorporating and engaging demographic changes, focus group changes, social media outreach, brand product tie-ins, media/podcast tie-ins, "chatters" on people's post of the show, etc. etc. Remember folks, not so long ago we used to have 3 or 4 major networks and now there's so many outlets competing for the share of time period.

B&B huge advantage I believe is being a 30-minute soap. Today's society everyone's instant, quick and viral which fits their everyday lifestyle aka short attention span. Plus, B&B can be so outlandish at times which appeals to a global market. I miss the earlier days of Stephanie & Sally. They were both giants and really drove the show in high gear.

I have a feeling that GH/ABC may be recasting her like they did with Chad Duell as Michael Corinthos. Lightening hit a bottle when they recasted with Rory Gibson. Time will tell...

The View is doing well due to the country's unhappiness with the White House Administration at this time. Right now, viewers are checking it out to see what's what going on since the mainstream and cable news are skewered way to the far right or the far left and it's turning off the independent folks. Would love to see ABC to move GMA3 to 900 behind GMA to compete with NBC Today 3 then bring back the reboots/sequel of either AMC or GH: Night Shift to compete with Y&R/B&B combo.

As long as Beyond the Gates is doing better than the predecessor in viewership, demos, streaming and ads revenue. They will be more than OK. Judging by one week performance is NEVER reviewed by the powers to be. They look at data by the quarter, by the season and overall numbers. BTG has to have three years minimum to really get on their own and at this point they're on the right track.
