The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Very cool. SOS was definitely swept by GH and Days…. and since they're the only shows I watch, I happen to agree. Now…. if only we can get LuNacy AND Magic. Hey Hooked, how did the suggestion go that someone should write an article about the two couples and how they're not only beautifully written (much of the time) but fly in the face of the assumption that younger couples make the soap world go 'round.

Just for kicks, would someone PM me the password too. Who knows, I might actually have insomnia some night and be able to join you…… it's happened…..

I think when most people hear Bonnie & Clyde, they think of the Faye Dunaway/Warren Beatty posters but never watched until the end of the movie. There are other paradigms that can be used for these two…… (not my preferred genre so I can't give you an example past Rhett & Scarlet) And Ms.Q, I've got to weigh in. Over the years you've created some amazing banners for yourself and others, but this one has got to be your best ever.

You and me both. I've always loved Bobbie and her family needs her desperately - especially Carly. And it annoys me to no end that Mama Jacks can be brought in but Bobbie hasn't held her granddaughter yet? Not right. They would be better off putting JZ back on contract than trying to shoehorn GF into the canvas. Much more story could be told with the proper Spencers, which is the family spoilers say will be the focus in 2011. We shall see.

I remember that, but I also remember when Carly's bio father (Corbin B. played him… John Durant?) was going to sue the hospital and Bobbie specifically, and Tracy ripped HIM a new one for going after Bobbie - a person who'd earned the love and respect of everyone in PC. I remember the Spencers were stunned by that and Skye knew the days of Skuke were numbered. I think the last interaction they had save Lucky's engagement announcement where they didn't even speak, was that phoney wedding where Bobbie told Tracy almost humourously to "leave my brother alone".

I think it was quite clear. Tracy hoped against hope that Luke would step up for her and I think that scene showed that she finally realized he had. I always thought she would destroy the pre-nup, always - that's her gift back. A pre-nup is about divorce, not marriage, and Tracy threw away the safety net. She has always hidden behind her money before but that one little act showed Luke she wasn't going to do that with him any more. Those two committed to each other for life, and that ultimately was what the last 3-4 days have been about.

^^ no, montages don't count, not like this. This was a full scene, two people only with a full chunk of the story being told. Montages are usually snippets of the story or moments of follow-up, but they don't tell any story in and of themselves. I'm serious, I can't remember any soap doing what they allowed JE and TG to do today. That is huge trust in the actor's abilities that they left the entire scene without dialogue. Perhaps my Liturgist background is influencing me here, but it's noted that Westerners have a really hard time with silence. Easterners seem to be comfortable in it, but Westerners tend to get really antsy if there isn't something being said. So to allow an entire scene without any intervention is an amazing compliment. Can you imagine Brenda being give that? Or Carly? Or bless her heart, Lulu?

GRRR… finally saw it and WTF were the mobbies doing taking over LuNacy's day. I'm SOOOOOO glad both Lulu and Tracy said how rude that was, because it was. Luke's reaction was funny - and gives a little insight into some of his other so-called non-chalant reactions to Sonny's stupidity. Perhaps Luke isn't as amused as he appears. Also nice touch between Brook and Luke. I've been wanting a scene forever where Brook calls Luke her grandfather, and it's almost exactly like I envisioned it would be, lol. As for the pre-nup, Luke TOTALLY signed it. He might have undersigned it Coyote, but there is no way Tracy would have reacted like that to a false name. In the end she knew he gave her everything she asked for, and she gave him what he wanted. It was a beautiful scene of love, honesty, and commitment. And tell me - when was the last time we had a scene with absolutely no dialogue what-so-ever? That was perfect. The music thing - that's a reason to call TPTB and complain. The wedding was beautiful, the reception was mostly wonderful, but LuNacy theme song is for them alone - not Dante and Brenda.

Lainey my Luv, I haven't forgotten a thing. I needed to see the whole wedding to know where to start. Unfortunately the reality is that I head a Christian household with 4 children and this tends to be a rather busy season for me. BUT now we're on the last legs of Advent/Christmas/Epiphany so I can think about other things…. like LuNacy Lust. Haven't seen today yet however I'm not surprised that LuNacy couldn't have three full days for themselves. BUT I am glad to hear that it was noted out loud that S&B are rude attention seekers. They had no business doing that on Tracy's day.

Thanks Lainey, my baby really is growing up. She sang "Mary did you Know?" at both services. I recorded it so hopefully it will be on YT for others to see.

Merry Christmas everyone. Love the new banners Lain & Ms.Q. Nice to see some new artwork. Gotta add my proud Mama-moment. This is my Diva singing tonight.

Ah…… the "let's chat after Remos has gone to bed" has begun again, lol. One of these evenings I might actually surprise everyone and stay up. So, so glad you guys are doing this again. I missed the chat room. AND so wonderful to have everyone returning to the Club House - it's had some lonely stretches this year.

Today should be dubbed "In Praise of Tracy Spencer". Everything was fabulous and I loved what Lulu, Luke and Edward had to say to and about Tracy. And the Brook/Tracy scenes was phenomenal. I don't think I've ever seen Tracy/JE smile as much in an episode as I did today. Simply beautiful!

I was out to dinner, but earlier SOC was fine because I asked them to keep the fanbase stuff away and just let us enjoy our day. The hardliners were respecting that and even were happy for us.

That's what Tracy needs from him really, not the words (although those are good) but him to force her into this marriage. Being her lap dog has never been as attractive to her as his fighting for his right to be in her world.

Guys, you've going to LOVE this show. They are together at the alter, making their vows and looking so happy and in love. Any challenge Luke might have felt - and the related comedy - was minor and secondary.

TL!!!! So great to see that banner again…. I missed the Kiss Banner. I don't think you even have one to add since Lukey returned this time. About the move - my husband is a Federal Inspector for Health and Safety, and the manager in Ottawa wants him badly so we are being transferred. As I'm sure most of you know, the government has 3 speeds - none, slow and super sonic. Well on this one Mike put in the request on Thursday (expecting it would take a year or three), was asked when he could move on Friday, they had a meeting with the folks who have to pay for it on Monday and we should have definitive word today. It's completely surreal. How do you wrap up 12 years and your children's complete lives in 3 months? We're not even telling the kids until after Christmas is over but I've started telling my friends and the beauty of it is every single one of them has basically said "we love Ottawa and now we'll have some place to stay when we visit". It's been such an overwhelming response. But it's still very sad. Everything I do I keep saying to myself "this is the last time I'll see/touch/do this". So glad to see you guys opened the chat room. That's been awhile too. I was out at a dinner meeting last night, otherwise I would have been there in spades. Yesterday was crazy - The Diva was taping her first commercial (a PSA for Girl Guides of Canada) and the call was for 6:30 AM on the other side of town. I was a zombie by the time it was over (3 1/2 hours for what will probably be 8 seconds and some stills) but it was an interesting experience. She said she liked it, so I'm not sure what that is going to mean. Then we went to a pioneer village North of the city where my 10 year old son bought a teddy bear for his 8 year old "Girl Friend"… Between the move, my children's romances (the Diva has 2 boys who want to date her… and they're BFFs), and Tracy and Luke getting married, I'm getting the distinct impression I fell through a rabbit's hole.

Nothing yet. The Diva was taping a commercial today (almost 4 hours which will probably boil down to 8 seconds) and I'm not thinking about anything else. AND the move is almost finalized. AND I've got to start wrapping our lives up here in Toronto in 2-3 months…. the story needs to be inspired so don't look for it before the wedding.

That would be fabulous. And thanks for the consideration but don't worry about it. This little gaggle is a rather interesting collection and the Tracy thread is more like a pot-luck feasting than anything else I've seen around here. Everyone's contributions are welcome.

Hmm…. I haven't done anything for awhile, but I might be in the holiday giving mood. Why don't you guys give me ideas of what you'd like to see and I'll come up with something. Thank you, that's very kind of you.

Regardless of how they got there, I'm just going to enjoy it. On a personal note, I just got a call from my husband and Feds want to transfer him potentially before the end of the fiscal year. That means I quite likely have three months to pack up our 12 years/friends/commitments in Toronto in order to move to Ottawa. And for those of you in Texas and California, that's like moving to Alaska….. in March. I'm a little upset about all of this, even though I know moving the the Nation's Capital will be great for everyone eventually.

"AT" the alter, AT… "On" the alter means they are about to be killed and sacrificed to their gods (on second though, either could apply)

It's going to be an amazing Spencermaine/LuNacy week. This is about the best Christmas/late Chanukah/Yule present we could ask for from GH.
