The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
A lovely term from one of the Tracyophiles: Emmy Winning Chair Bound One (not a compliment, just in case you are wondering)

I think it makes her look a lot younger - especially younger than the do when EWCBO returned the last time. That was downright scary. The bob in SB was probably the best, but when they had her grow it out during the hospital stuff it looked frumpy. At least this short hair befits someone of her power and status.

Well I'm not jumping to any conclusions at this point. The entire scene felt like it was a late insertion so perhaps TPTB have noticed how little she is involved and are doing something to fix that. She was certainly mentioned by a number of the others. I'm actually loving the super short hair. It makes her look much more intense and firm. This is not the "soft" Tracy from the heart attack story - which is both good and bad.

There's a Tornado? I need a volunteer. I'm trying to get a Plastic Canvas pattern book to make some Barbie furniture for a friend's daughter but it only ships to the US. Can one of you lovely Americans step up to the plate and help me out? EDIT - never mind. I found another seller who will ship to Canuckistan.

Were we expecting TraLu today?

Makes it easier for us too. No Spencers = No Remos As much as I like Ethan and Ethina, there's not enough there to keep me around if Pa and Ma have left the building.

More rumours this morning suggest Mabby is about to end, and of course the Lush/L&L2 rumours keep going. Personally I'll be rather pleased in a world without Mabby and I'm so disinterested in Lucky at this point that I really don't care. Siobhan is a great character and SHE is the one who makes Lucky more than one note. I know JJ has Emmy's but he can't do anything other than Emotional Cripple from what I see. Sometimes I imagine what this amount of airtime and positive characterization would have been like in the hands of GV, who in retrospect might not have been as emotionally "deep" as JJ in his scenes with TG, but had far more versatility and real chemistry with the other Spencers. (not to mention was a hell of a lot better on the eyes) Also suggestion that Ingo might get a reprieve. That would be good. The other stuff is good IMO - Spixie and Ethina have spunk and spark, while M&M and Mayan are chemistry black holes. And tell me when the complete destruction of Lisa is over. That part I find heartbreaking. Patrick Drake is not worth it IMO and Robin needs to be severely bitch-slapped, but Lisa had personality and chemistry outside of Scrubs and could have been a contender. Unfortunately the most interesting character in that story is being savagely ruined to make an extremely boring couple viable. I'm going to remember the "Up and Over" Lisa and not this assassination. Still not seeing any official word about TG's vacation. Did that get missed somewhere?

BA event says he knows nothing of JMB wanting to leave, that the vets are cautiously optimistic with the change in HW, that Spixie might soon be heading back to a theatre near you, BBr is gone, GH has not been given a deadline that he has heard and I can't remember what else. Bottom line as always - take the DD rumours and gossip with salt. They might be right, they might be wrong, but they are their with the intent to upset.

That would leave Ethan as the ONLY Spencer. Who knows if it's true now with changes behind the scenes. Without the Spencers and Nicholas, it really is just the Corrinthos clan - the Q's already being gone. You can't write a show with just one family.

Let's hope it is enough to make and difference. The part about LC is very encouraging and I'mamazed GW's stuff is going to start so soon. I can't remember the last time I actually watched a whole episode of GH. Word on DD is VM will be the next big announcement for departure. I really hope the send her off with Jax - it seems the mOst fitting departure for both of them.

Don't give GF that much power - GH certainly isn't. Okay…. this move…… grrrrrrrrr….. I'm seriously thinking about moving into a tent and keeping my money under my mattress. At least the tech is working so I'll keep my new iPhone and Mac. I really hate someone else running my life. Sad about Ingo. Wish it had been Maurice.

TG is definitely better with age, although the haggerd look isn't his best. I am not worried about GF in the least. She is on another show for at least a year and the isn't any place for her on GH now. As for the last go through with GW, he was working from Guza's outlined originally but he was writing the full mesh of characters and that would not have been done with Guza's. GW didwrite content and outlines by January of the strike, that is true, but content was his earlier than that. Just saw on DD one of the reasons Guza's got the boot was his refusal to scale back the Unholy Trinity, so we have some hope of a richer canvas now. Also JI's exit story is going forward so now there is a real chance of seeing Tracy and Monica involved rather than just Jason and Michael. But I still don't know how theycan give ELQ to Michael when Tracy has been running it. Under Guza's I could see them forgetting that point but now everything is up in the air.

I don't think we ever have to worry about EWCBO again. Not only is GF on another show now, but she isn't part of the story anymore. Remember GW is the one who gave us all that LuNacy at the B&W ball. If you look at it - the two isolated from the rest of the cast most of the time - those scenes didn't have to happen, but they did. I think GW knows what he has in LuNacy and can recognize a ship that has sailed.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
He also gave us the last time Tracy and Monica literally rolled around on the floor in a fight. Let's hope he gives us the characters but not that foolishness. Just because women in their 60's are physically able to do that doesn't mean they should have to.

Now THAT would be a dream come true. They didn't figure prominently during Wolfe's last kick at the can at all. And you're right GTQ, ETHINA!!!!

Geez….. Guza replaced by someone who actually respects the vets, Mary McDonnell to star in another show, Magic Love….. this has been such a great fangurl day for me.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I thought going FiCore ruled him out for the position of HW. As long as he does what he did during the writer's strike, I'll be happy. It was a balanced cast, the vets were actually seen and there was layers to the stories. But is this verified or just DD gossip?

I am going insane. That is all. Thank you.

Shoot. There goes that idea. As for "Jelica" I'm getting lazy typing is all. You're right - she's not a nickname kind of person.

JE was shortlisted at GH but wasn't submitted. Its long past time NLG got a nom. I've been thinking about Anjelica and wondering if they might bring her on for a bit. Word is they are bringing on one of Justin's children - it would be cool if that was Jelica's son.

this board tends to ebb and flow around Tracy's screen time. There was a lot of discussion during the wedding in December, but 2011 hasn't shown itself to be particularly positive (have they even really kissed yet and it's almost June?) for Tracy/LuNacy time so most of us drift away. Rest assured that a decent chunk of Tracy will bring us back.

No Tracy/LuNacy today. And I'm about to rename Carly "Waldo". She certainly seems to be popping up everywhere.

I haven't been paying attention to ratings for so long I haven't got a clue who is where. But every show is "on fire" shortly before they end because every viewer wants the last piece and the writers/cast have nothing to loose. GH still has a future for the moment (or at least the illusion of one) so they have to be much more calculating. As for the Luke/campy stuff, it's always in the eye of the beholder. Unless it's someone who is appreciating the nuance of this story I don't hold much for their interpretation. I took a brief walk over to SOC the other day and all of them are missing the point, so I'll pass on any other interpretation. Besides, I don't think Luke is in the position to "charm" anyone right now. I think there is a difference between Luke becoming an alcoholic now and being drunk when he hit Jake. His reaction is almost noble really - don't blame vice, blame me. I understand completely how Luke is going about this, he doesn't want any excuse and he wants his family to avoid the easy answer. I almost cheered when Ethan told Kristina (and yes, I'm excited for their summer) that he didn't think Luke was drunk that night. Alcohol is far too easy an out for Luke and he refuses to go there. I can also understand why Lucky MUST go there because how else can he accept his father killing his son? And Tracy…. in all of her various marriages and affairs she has never had to deal with this one, and is doing the Q-thing: tough love. My problem is she's done the "not in my bed, not my money, not the HS" so often that it looses its effect. Luke telling her he married her pure, without an agenda was quite telling. Erroneously he's saying she did have one, but the reality is she's grasping at straws to not only keep Luke from falling completely apart but also to keep him within the family. Gotta love how big Tracy's heart is. On LW, I agree. Sheeba probably screamed like a banshee to make sure she was involved, but she was so marginalized (didn't even get a flashback) that it was obvious she was the least of those gathered. Good point on her being needed to stop the comp. from the MC. Even her telling Luke "I do love you" rang so bloody hollow. Now if that was SBr's Carly, not only would it have been incredibly played, they would have had real history to speak to. I realized LW was the only recast in the room (aside from a SORASed Lulu) and really doesn't have much history to speak of in the Carly/Luke dynamic. If we could get rid of all this Scrubs/Lisa stuff (hate that they have "ruined" Lisa for Robin, even though I realize that is the character's role; Lisa was always the more interesting of the two) and Brenda/Lucian (can't she be gone already?), and very disappointed the the Candy Man has become a footnote. If all of those were removed, GH isn't bad at the moment. Oh - and lets tone down Mabby. A good thing is being destroyed once again by overexposure.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
After reading the comments and complaints about the intervention, I see what folks are talking about. The Spencers were definitely on their game. Nicholas and Sonny walked through it like those actors walk through most of their stuff. Carly….. still trying to figure out why she was there. The one thing I have to add to everything is I think the problem was it had to be done in 42 minutes. That truly should have been a 2 1/2 hour play. They barely scratched the surface and that must have frustrated the creative forces to know they had so much material but so little time to deliver. Out of it all though, I have come to the complete conclusion that Luke is NOT an alcoholic but he is in danger of going that way if he doesn't get the help he needs, and that is grief counselling. It was so sad for Tracy to say she only though Luke would want her if he was drunk. What a sad view of herself she much have. Looking forward to seeing this past week. BTW the episode cut into another show then switched back to GH on my PVR so I didn't get most of Ethan's stuff. What was his flashback?

Nope. It's on the list, that's all I can say at the moment. Not sure when I'll get around to actually watching. But I'm glad to hear the meaty stuff was given to the proper group and not swallowed hole by 2/3 of the Unholy Trinity.
