1. To be perfectly honest, I don't believe anything until I see it play out. GW is doing long-term arcs and the only thing I really believe is that he's playing it so close to the vest that no one really knows what will happen. From what I have seen, GW hasn't dropped anything yet. Remember how everyone was screaming that Jason's accident and result of the surgery didn't change a thing? That was just weeks after and now it's starting to emerge. They laid a whole lot of groundwork for Tracy's past and I don't believe for a second it's been totally dropped. GW is a different kind of story teller and he hasn't been around long enough for us to predict what his style of storytelling will be. Unlike Guza he's also hitting all the points between the stories, so it seems much longer. We also don't know that perhaps JE had her vacation later this year so she just hasn't been around but will pick up again now. Far too many unknowns to assume anything.
2. Hey Nex, I lost that URL for translating stuff to an MP3 file. Could you PM me the link and what I do so I don't loose it this time? TIA
3. Funny-gal…. question for you. We're planning a family vacation to your neck of the woods and I'm wondering what the weather is like in February, March and April. Remember we're coming from the land that has snow 6 months of the year and will probably have it when we take the trip, so my "cold" and your "cold" are two radically different things. (I think August I would die.)
4. Finally watched last Wednesday's LuNacy and all I can say is wow….. GW is bringing them back together in such a slow, meaningful way. I didn't get a hint of hijinks anywhere, just two adults having to figure out where they go from here. I am really impressed. The look of joy on Tracy's face when Luke was at the door was fabulous. And THANK YOU WOLFE for having Tracy say "she doesn't do this" about infidelity - because she really doesn't and never has. A roll with a boy-toy when she's not committed is fine, but she has never cheated on someone she loves. And poor Luke, that man is in so much pain. Thinking Tracy has moved on is really breaking his heart. Really, a well done show all the way around. Scrubs and JaSam were actually cute together, serious brotherly vibe between Ethan and Lucky, and Liz is up to her manipulation again - halos are such a limiting fashion accessory for a soap character. Okay, so is it just me or does anyone else think that letter conveniently written by Siobhan on the event of her death is a complete and total after-the-fact set-up. I've seen some on other boards suggestion GW has gone overboard with Sio predicting her own death, but when I saw the liturgical crap that was poured out of that envelope, I didn't believe for one second that Sio actually did that - unless it was part of some bigger story we're just about to start. Oh, and I want to give a HUGE shout-out to my Personal Stalker - HI!!!!! Thank you SOOOOOOO much for thinking I need to be quoted throughout the web. You're a real ego boost - thank you.
5. Well, no one wants to say it outloud but GF is a "has-been" in the soap world. Actually most of those who had the heady days of the 80's and some 90's are has-beens. She and others can try to cash in on the name they used to be, but the reality is when movie stars have moved into Primetime, soap actors haven't got a prayer unless they are really special - and 70's divas aren't special at all. The same is true for Jane, Tony, Erika, Susan, etc. Our little world is all that's left to truly care one way or another. The DZ thing had me laugh. I saw the line on DD, no quote or reference included. Where/when was this supposed to have happened? Poor DZ… having his name taken in vain like that. I'm truly at the place that I think every spoiler is a lie unless it comes with something concrete like a date. Otherwise it's all fluff for the masses, and I haven't got time to be the "masses". I can't remember the last time I watched GH. Except for LuNacy, is it worth getting caught up? Robin/Patrick have always been a bore to me, Sonny/Carly can take a flying leap, Jason/Sam are less than entertaining on their best days, and now that Siobhan is gone Lucky is more of a waste of space than ever. Krissy is leaving and taking my Ethina hopes with her - the chemistry between LA and NP was what made me want Ethina, not necessarily the characters of Ethan and Kristina themselves. So I'm now left wondering if I even bother.
6. LOL, thanks Baby Boy….. wonder if they sell that in Canada yet, hmmmm…..
7. ^^ LOL, GF was never returning to GH. She wants to be the star….. can you see LW moving aside for that? Not going to happen. Still haven't watched Wednesday's eppi yet. Hopefully I will before another week starts. Just can't keep up with my entertainment when life is happing, more's the pity.
8.

We should go back and find the time GF WASN'T rumoured to be returning when there was marital difficulty between Luke and Tracy. That would be different. It's past its humour when it comes to this rumour. Move along people - there's nothing to see here.

Tracy and AZ are a non-starter for all the reason we know and understand, and it amazes me how short-sighted fans are to suggest they would be a great couple. They seem to want anyone to get Luke out of her life, with very little memory that Zacrazy has killed just about every woman he's been involved with AND Tracy is not into murderers. Nefarious beings perhaps, but not the insane.

I haven't had time to see yesterday's show yet, but I read a comment on some board that Tracy and Helena are the best dressed women in daytime. Wow, what a change that is. A few years ago Tracy was the moumou Queen.

9. Poor Ethina - they never had a chance. It looked so good so often, but nada. Chemistry like that isn't something that comes along every day. They tried this BS with Maya a bit ago, ignoring Ethina's chemistry to force another pairing with Ethan and it fell flat. Unless they truly get lucky with "Gina", TPTB might kick themselves for this decision one of these days. Now on the upside, without Kristina or Michael in the mix, a story about Tracy/Ethan/Luke/etc won't be overrun by Sonny and that's about the best part of this from my POV. None of Sonny's "offspring" seem capable of being the centre of their own story - it always ultimately has to be about Sonny. I would hate to be excited about a story for my character and know in the end s/he wouldn't be the focus anyway. Lulu seems to be the one Spencer sacrificed to Sonny's side of the canvas now. This is a blow to the Davises though. That family worked without a man in sight. Why couldn't it be allowed to continue?
10. Agreed, Lain. I thought the scene with AZ at the end was more revealing than anything, and so glad Luke heard her. Tracy wasn't pretending with Anthony, she did love her husband and she's not the type to be unfaithful. It will be interesting to see now that Luke is back, where they take all of this. I'm amused to no end for those calling for a Tracy/AZ pairing. First they obviously don't understand the role AZ is supposed to play - which is not that of a husband/lover/romantic partner. Secondly it's mostly the LnLhardliners who I guess now figure if they can get Tracy off somewhere then that will surely pave the way for their desired reunion. And finally they truly don't know the character of Tracy. She is perhaps the most deeply feeling, passionate and loyal character on the whole entire canvas. Luckily the Spencer know that one in spades. It will be nice to see how this family rallies around each other to bring them all out of the muck over the next number of months.
11. I've got to say of the two Luke massage-return scenes, the original was better from a LuNacy POV, but this one was great watching JE/Tracy's expression. I'm sure the harpy will deal with him today, but the utter disbelief in her face yesterday was priceless.
12. It was really hard to gage Tracy's face when she realized it was Luke's hands on her. We rarely see her astonished in that way. She truly believed she would never see him again. Eww… Zacrazy propositioning her - sleezy all the way. There is NO way GW is doing anything serious with these two. It will be interesting to see how the interaction changes between the two, but on any level, who was happy that Tracy was the first person Luke contacted eh? Not Lucky or Ethan (Lulu wasn't really a contender IMO).
13. The spoilers right now are like a buffet table - pick the ones you like best and pass over the others. Everything is up for grabs with little consistency dictating what is real and what isn't. But this morning's I particularly like…. "Luke tries to save Tracy, but she doesn't make it easy on him". Nothing new in that thought, but still nice to see in print.
14. I don't know if it's a tease or a set-up for stories left to come. Every day in Port Chuck is now taking about 8 to see it - taking cues from Days obviously - so I'm not even sure where we are chronologically with anything. All I do know is Jason's surgery was last week tops.
15. what were the dates for the spa? That has to be coming up sooner rather than later
16. I'm still praying to the soap-gods that it's MB. If any character has outworn it's welcome a few times over, Sonny is the one.
17. Speak up. I've been around for awhile and don't always understand myself except that it's a signal that if she goes, we/they will go. It's not a wishing of bad things on Jane at all - it's more that she's the last link to our love for this show, or a true want/expectation that she will do better elsewhere. Personally I think she knows this is probably her last job and she's going to do it with gusto. She might get lucky in Cable, but that seems to be headlined now by women who spent many years on the big screen first. She certainly won't be going to another show.
18. It helps to give up cheese when dairy isn't your friend any longer. I gave up most wheat products for the same reason. I haven't got the recipe handy (I bought the cake) but it involves a whole load of raw cashews. Even though it's raw, it's still packed with calories. The upside is they are basically whole food calories with the good type of fat, so your body can handle them so much better than processed cheesecake. I really hope the Lexi spoilers are just rumours. I really like her and if they cut too many characters they won't have anyone to tell complex stories with.
19.
About the only Vegan thing that really can't compare is marshmallows. Those are very expensive and can't make a S'more to save their souls. Otherwise the food is actually pretty good. I have a recipe for oatmeal 'cookies' that are raw and addictive. I had raw raspberry 'cheesecake' 6 months ago and it was amazing.

I know some/many of you don't like her, but I've always enjoyed Lexi and it appears she is about to leave. That is making me rather sad. Ethina was never really given a chance - but others are leaving so perhaps Ethan will be going with her. Once I see who the lost is that's leaving (and if this is to make room for GF I'm completely disgusted) we'll see if I'm going to bother remaining.

20. Amazing things can happen when you remove animal foods and by-products from your diet. We're in the process of doing that now and I've got to tell you as a Raw Vegan in Progress, I've never felt better. Thanks for the pictures Hooked. I can't wait for LuNacy to be in the same place again. I'm terribly curious about what the "Tracy has changed" tip means.
21. I think it's too early to jump the gun. Spoilers have been more miss than hit, and long term plans aren't going to be seen immediately by definition. GW has a lot to "fix" I'm sure, and it's a step at a time because he's not doing the advertised "re-boot" thing that Days is doing. I'm content to sit back and see what happens. Already there is integration, longer scenes, more POVs, and greater balance. From my reading those were numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 on most peoples' Ways to Improve General Hospital lists. Specific characters and stories are further-down-the-road issues.
22. He was never in denial that he killed Jake. The bearing of that responsibility is what sent him into the spiral in the first place. Imagine if this was Sonny? No excuse would have been left unturned. Luke is the walking example of taking on blame and responsibility - he has denied himself forgiveness or grace at every turn. What has been OTT was the immediate and unrelenting attitude that he was drunk at the time and is a helpless alcoholic. I don't buy that one now and didn't months ago when it was floated. Ultimately THAT attitude is the one universally accepted to excuse Luke's killing of Jake but he is having none of it. It's sad, a little pathetic and terribly executed in the original writing, but there is something quite noble about a man who refuses to deny the damage he has created. Very few soap characters have ever owned up without allowing an excuse. More humans should be like that IMO.
23. ^^ I think TG is a "company man". They give it to him, he sells it. Guza wanted his stuff about Luke sold, and TG went about doing it through interviews and on camera. While watching his scenes during Luke's downward spiral, you could see the man was trying to turn it into King Lear or something equally intriguing. TG can't be held responsible for Guza not writing any way out of the hole.
24. Well, again I think spoilers/rumours are ruining us. I remember reading how Krissy and Ethan would have this special moment at the wedding and if you blinked you would miss it. Sure they were dancing but where did Ethan come from and where was their exchange? After seeing the wedding and the non-wedding, I have to say the absence of Tracy didn't bother me in the least. Monica and Edward were the ones who should have been there and they were. It was okay. Hope the JaSam fans enjoyed what they got, but I wouldn't have been happy if that had been one of my couples. Anyone who says GW is not an "event" kind of person so far seems right on the money. He is much more about the relationships - which is probably a far better thing. AZ shooting Dante who was about to shoot Johnny… no end of sh!t in that one. I am actually glad they have Anthony, Helena and potentially Lisa back on canvas. I hope Lisa is better and not Patrick-obsessed (who is so unworthy of her). There is nothing like the truly insane villain. The sane ones ultimately are constricted by ethics, but not the insane ones who can be extremely unpredictable and thus much more entertaining. Those are the kinds that truly bring out the "hero" in the other characters.
