1. Tracy wins? When does that ever happen? Good to see, and hoping it's true.

JE should be considered "Lead", and should be given a Lead story - she's earned it, and has proven she can carry a vehicle. She would have been an interesting Stephanie Forester, but then we wouldn't have had the recent almost decade of Tracy, so I'm good with how it all turned out. However that is a slap in the professional face, another reason to discourage my children from pursuing acting as a profession - too cut throat.

  2. I'm getting blocked on YT when I go to watch GH and a bunch of other things, anyone have ideas about why that is?

Sorta caught up. Christmas is insane for me, so soaps definitely aren't a priority. Did see the Tracy/Robert scenes eventually. I really want more of them together, but would like for Anna not to be the ultimate focus for a change.

  3. So cool that JE wants to learn about the Nurse's Ball and fill in the blanks that her character should have. I wonder how they will have Tracy integrated, because performing musically is not on of Tracy's skills.

LOL, that TG would be the one to suggest the striptease. I have no problem picturing him doing that - it seems to match with him MO of pushing the boundaries. Love that about him.

  4. You getting snow in Texas? Hell is surely freezing over. Look at the November episode count:

    November Episode Count

Here's the monthly count for November. I did not count the body doubles for Edward (2 episodes) and Lila (1) and the actress who played Lila Rae is uncredited as of this post. Enjoy!!

Number of Episodes in November: 20

Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) – 16

    Sean Kanan (A.J. Quartermaine) – 16

Julie Marie Berman (Lulu Falconeri) – 15

Leslie Charleson (Dr. Monica Quartermaine) – 13

Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) – 13

Laura Wright (Carly Jacks) – 13

  5. Thanks MrQ. I didn't know they did a photoshoot in 2006. I don't remember seeing pictures from it anywhere... nex, the jacket from November 2006 when Tracy saw Laura was more red and had circular shadow-like things on it, I thought. The one from the photoshoot is more orange-ish and pink-ish and "shiny." Here are some screen shots even though the quality isn't good. The first one (top left) looks like it's the same as the photoshoot. The other ones show the red jacket with the circles (even though it also looks kind of pink-ish). 2rr7zex.jpg Edited to take out a bunch of details that weren't needed to make my point. smile.png
Hating this new format for posting. blah! Just a quick fly-by comment: you can really tell the Before HD and After HD pictures, eh?
  6. I read the comments too, and I'm not sure Edward was that into symbolism. I haven't seen the show, but when I saw it stated that she only received the pickles, the first thing I though of was Edward was giving her another piece of her mother - a piece Tracy hadn't been around for. Edward knew more than any other Q (except now perhaps her sons) that Tracy loved deeply and through sending her away, he denied Tracy access to her mother. This was obviously something Edward treasured as something personal, so he gave Tracy something personal. As others mentioned, this sets of stories for a long time, and who knows what Heather has done to the Will or what Luke will do to help Tracy when he returns. But I think in time, Tracy will understand.

  7. The man playing Edward walking up the stairs was Peter Hensen who used to play Lee Baldwin!

Really? What an honour for him. No wonder 'Edward' looked so real, Peter Hensen watched him while they worked together back in the day, and probably knew him well.
  8. Greetings all, and Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans here. While you carve turkey, I serve birthday cake - your thanksgiving is always my son's birthday. I almost have another official teenager in the house. Just one more year.

I finally found time to catch up on GH, or more specifically the Q-story that has been happening. Who didn't have a dry eye? That was beautifully done, and I think far more effective than having a town full of people having one or two lines at a funeral. They did quite a good job casting another Edward. Not quite so well with Lila, but the effort is worth everything. I really felt it when Tracy sat in the crypt and talked about the only one holding memories now…. I know that one too intimately, and that is very much what the last surviving member of a family can feel like. I thought that the most poignant part of the entire episode. Also really happy that their first Edward/Tracy memory was LuNacy's wedding. That was a happy day for everyone. (Just an aside though, anyone else notice the faces of Lucky, Siobhan, Brook and Nicholas all faded out? Don't want to pay those royalties!) Now we need Luke home to comfort Tracy, and I'll be happy.

  9.
Ugh… SOD obviously downsized their editorial team. "one of two returning" is how it should read. Gah, I hate sloppy writing.

Otherwise very nice. It feels like the end of an era in many way. Looking forward to seeing it play out. Of course Luke is the one who should be there, standing behind Tracy, but hopefully we will get that later. Nice to see TG and JE in the mag and see everyone understand what we've known to be true for a very long time - Luke and Tracy are the backbone of this show now.

  10. I think he is recurring on Days. I don't know the ins and outs of soap land, obviously, but I don't understand why, and this juncture in time when everyone had to row together, they can't find a way for a recurring character to be available for two different shows. Personally I think there is much more story and personality around Ned than there ever was around Justin.

  11. Why would Monica, a successful surgeon and isn't she still COS, need to put up her house for collateral to help AJ? Not to mention I'm sure Alan provided for her somehow, and she has stock in ELQ......

    *sigh*

The stupid plot point writing continues. But at least, if Monica loses the house and Tracy buys it, she can fire Alice. So there may be a bright spot to the idiocy after all.

Haven't seen this week yet, but I'm guessing that the bail for AJ will be huge, considering his family (ie. mother) already got him out of the country, paid for a funeral, and has been funding his life elsewhere for years. They would want some pretty big leverage to ensure that Monica/AJ don't pull that trick again, and personal assurances aren't going to cut it.

Now…. Tracy buying the mansion and kicking everyone out? I'd SOOOOO be down for that. Popcorn party to watch those scenes.

Hey, maybe Robert can return and start taking up with Tracy, helping her get everything she deserves. He can move into the mansion and really piss Luke off. Robert and Tracy have had a few sparks along the way, also.

  12.
I'm with Lainey. Tracy is less interesting without Luke, and they need to put that relationship back together. I can't support anyone who is the constant recipient of the lesser-end-of-the-stick, and if that's what people find entertaining about the Q's, then just stop at the next port and I'll disembark. At least with Luke, no matter what level of interaction they had, he was always around to help her have some 'wins'. It wasn't perfect, and more than a few times I wanted to bash Luke up the side of the head, but he was her rock and biggest supporter. In addition, Luke came with Lulu, giving us TraLu - which should be happening in a big way right now, but isn't at all. By putting Tracy back only with the Q's, and dismantling the Spencermaines, Tracy is now the lowest on the barrel again, and a roll in the hay with Joseph just made her look even more pathetic.

A woman of strength can be a bitch, but a bitch isn't automatically a woman of strength. Tracy may be getting air time, but IMO Guza still gave her more respect as a character than these jokers.

  13.

aww. shucks. you thought of me. awwwww. thanks. All is good. my neighborhood is perfectly fine. We were spared from the craziness. Thankfully.

Of course I did, Sweetie - it's me, remember! :D

Glad to know you weren't swept away.

As for the jail thing, I haven't got a clue. Obviously I have to catch up on my viewing too.

  14. I'm with ILTQ, I can't see them not doing a funeral later. I imagine they might do both. A tribute to John is reasonable and needed, and earlier is better. It was kind of sad the other day how they were talking about refilling Edward's medication (like taking Alice Horton her tea, even though Francis Reed was dead).

Mind you, with both Jason and Edward dying around the same time, storywise they might just find it overwhelming as characters, so the actors will have their tribute without the characters doing the same…… could happen, then it wouldn't be as horrible for Luke to be missing.

Okay, I've talked myself into it. No funeral for Edward is okay by me.

  15. LuNacy are great together - and TG's acting is so related to who he's working with, that it's really noticeable. I hope TPTB have noticed. Just put Anna back with Duke and see what happens there, and it will be even better if it's ANNA who tells Luke how obvious it is he still really loves Tracy, and she was just a distraction

  16. He wasn't? That seems strange to me. At any rate, I'm pretty sure he will be at Edwards, just the way they left that "I'll be there for you when you need me", sounds like a total set-up to me.

Alan was sweet, but wow SD has aged - you can really hear it in his voice. It's not as strong as it once was, but he's still wonderful to see. I still think if one of that couple had to 'die', Monica should have been the one. Oh well….

Is it just me, or is it so wrong that the only mutually undressing LuNacy scene we get is about them discussing who's got an agenda in their worlds? I just kept looking at that and laughing about how wrong this was. Wonderful to have LuNacy anytime, and I've noticed the "Spanky" and "Sweetheart" are still firmly there, but it would be nice if they were talking about each other to each other. Ah well, LuNacy scheming and trying to out-think other characters has always been part of their allure.

And I've got to say, Duke and Anna were wonderful today. Loved the flashbacks all around, but I especially loved the dancing - noticing how all the really physical moves were in the flashbacks, not the modern day dance. Age does its damage to all of us, unfortunately.

Loved how Alan was there for Tracy, too.
