  1. And that’s how Peggy McCay came into the scene as Iris ! Fascinating ! Don't know much about the character. Think she was in a quadrangle with the Baldwin brothers and Meg.

I'm glad we know more about Tom than only his ill-fated marriage to Audrey.

John and Polly Prentice are interesting too !

Only wish Sharon and Henry were given more to do.

  2. In the « remembering Woodbridge » article :

It was now June of 1969. The show's ratings had continued to dip when Lou Scofield replaced John Hess as headwriter. But when Roy Winsor had replaced Scofield with Don Ettlinger, the audience began flocking back. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough for CBS. The network leased both Love of Live and The Secret Stormoutright from American Home Products and gained control of both shows, while the idealist genius of Roy Winsor was no longer called for. Roy Winsor was forced to close his office, and The Secret Storm was to endure countless different writing regimes before the real end came.

Or had it already come in June of 1969?

Friday, January 13: Jessie encourage Prentice to take an optimistic view of the future.

Thanks for clearing that up re Patty/Gina

Now on to Danny and Andy

Looking over synopses from that time Danny is hardly mentioned well into 82, so maybe he was recurring.

    Wonder how that worked?

Was Danny's intro during a writer's strike? Maybe he was a Conboy hire?

Maybe Conboy pushed for him so Bill agreed and wanted to see him onscreen to decide where to go with the character. I think Danny was a waiter at the Allegro. Maybe there was a scene with Leo to introduce him and he probably met Patty there.

Same with Andy. When and how was he introduced? He seemed to be linked with Jill pretty quickly. Was he  a school teacher at first-is that how he connected with Jill?

    Does anyone remember?

Not much info on Danny I agree.

Andy was introduced as a bartender at the Bayou, working for Cash. He joined on 06/18/1981. Nikki said Cash that Andy was hitting on her and he was fired. She apologized and they kind of dated during the crazy Edward storyline. Then, Andy was moved into Jill's orbit.

Oh, they didn't? I had no idea. I was under the impression it was definitely the same actress.

Oh sorry, you were right. It was the same actress. I just checked. I wonder why I was so sure it had been a recast. My apologies !

I still remember Angie Costello appearing in the '93 anniversary ep - I'd have to go back and rewatch, but the dialogue with Steve made it seem like she was there for a brief patient arc, whereas apparently she was there for over three years lol.

It's sad they didn't bring the original actress - Jana Taylor - for this appearance. It was not as noteworthy as it should have been.

  7. Something confuses me about Jessie and Phil. If I read it well, they divorced in January 1965 and during December 1965, Jessie thinks Phil will come back to town before their divorce is finalized. Did they remarry in early 1965 ? before he raped her and fled Port Charles ?

  8. October 2 1962 Penny Hughes Baker is suffering from amnesia after Jeff is killed in a car accident. Doug Cassen comes to see Penny to see how she is doing. Chris and Nancy Hughes agree with Doug its time Penny goes to see her house to see if that will bring her memory back. While at the house Penny seems to fighting the memories she is too afraid to face.

  9. On Facebook, someone sent screenshots of an episode from « How to survive a marriage ». The tape was given to him by Rosemary Prinz (he also got many « All my Children » from her and many « As the world turns » from Barbara Rodell »). Don’t think he will share the episode video as he is known for selling his stuff but here are the screenshots.

I've been meaning to mention this to @Errol - I have the same difficulty finding *some* of the episode count threads in the episode count archive section of the resource archive menu.  The monthly episode count threads are there -- but they don't all display in the menu. The only way I can find some of the threads is to guess what their name is and then enter that into google search with "site:soapoperanetwork.com" at the end of the search sequence.  and then  what I want appears.

I enter this search term into google:
    "Bold & Beautiful - December 2021" site:soapoperanetwork.com
And then I find the thread...
    https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/60409-bold-beautiful-december-2021-episode-counts-and-year-end-stats/

Thanks ! I thought I was really stupid at first when I couldn’t locate.
