Olivia was last seen on Y&R in 2009 I think. I don't blame Tonya Lee Williams for not wanting to return after she was unceremoniously dumped in 2005 after 15 years of service.

Tonya Lee Williams was last seen on February 15, 2012.

  2. Audrey's rape. Such an important part for the storyline to come with Tommy's conception. Fascinating to read. I love the Jessie/Diana/Peter/Phil dynamics.

I like reading about Henry's addiction. Didn't know that.

Meg is boring to death though. First she was insecure about Iris for years, now Brooke. I understand the reasoning of course but reading the storyline it seems very repetitive.

So Diana first appeared on April 8th 1970. A long-time mystery is resolved !

Glad that Brooke is back to stir up trouble. I know she will have an affair with Howie in 1972 but don't know much about her before.

Wonder if Iris is already out as she is no longer mentioned or if she will be written out later.

After reading more carefully, I think both Tracy and Iris were written out in January 1970. Tracy after her wedding to Jeff and Iris when she was told Scotty didn't need her anymore. Can you confirm @depboy?

Bridget Dobson is credited as writer with Frank and Doris, her parents, at this stage.  The Bacardi saga seems to have occupied most of the episode acts, with a smattering of Jane/Howie and Lee/Iris.  We're moving into the a few more hospital staff-centric stories.  And while I get the need for patient of the week, I was surprised at how heavy the Bacardi story was played.

Do you know since when Bridget Dobson was credited with her parents ?

Oooh so the audience knew Phil was alive the entire time.

Yes ! Didn't know that. And I was expecting Diana. She had always been wrongly credited as joining in 1969 but this was 1970. How terrific to know that !

  7. Fascinating as ever ! So Douglas is dead. I thought Tracy would marry him and leave town with him. Maybe the new Jeff will be the one.

Denise is out. I was expecting more drama from her relationship with Steve with a jealous Audrey who starts being involved with Tom.

I love reading about the minor storylines such as Howie/Jane/Beverly. Had never heard about her before. Or Sharon and Uncle Henry.

So Phil has fled. Wonder how long before he meets Diana.

Again these recaps are priceless !!

  8. Very exciting to read about the 1969 episodes. I had imagined Phil had fled for the scene of Polly's accident but this is not at all how it happened.

Can't wait to see how he will meet Diana, and also Peter Taylor's introduction.

Yes and they give a lot of information-not just 'Steve makes a decision' or 'Jessie is worried' type of summaries you sometimes see.

Of course, this only makes me want the same type of thing for other soaps!

Same, would love to dig in for some other soaps too. I'm sure there are archives that can be found somewhere...

Very interesting to read more about Iris in particular. I only knew she was an alcoholic and had an affair with Lee but the drama around it and Tom being involved, I had no idea.

Tom is a very interesting character. He was so unlucky first with Jessie and then with Iris. I know his upcoming relationship with Audrey and the birth of Tommy will be doomed.
