Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I read that Page Six article looking for a sliver of hope that nuRHONY would return -- and found none. They are hoping to 'reconfigure' it? That means a total reboot without the cast. It sounds like Bravo (a) hates the current cast, and (b) has no clue what to do with any incarnation of RHONY. Also, the quotes by a 'Bravo insider' sounded very Andy Cohenesque.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Before I die on this nuRHONY hill, I am going to check out the last season all over again. While I remember every minute of that astounding final episode, the rest of the season is a blur. (Rebecca Minkoff? Prankgate?). Nevertheless, I was pretty invested in nuRHONY last season and became even more invested when I realised how deeply Ubah was being gaslit by Brynn, and how damaged Brynn is. The stuff with Brynn is unresolved, and that's why I want another season -- to see where the rest of the cast go from here. It seems to have bonded them. I didn't realise WWHL guests had a strong reaction against nuRHONY. My thought was that the last episode + reunion might lead to nuRHONY's renewal, because that was when attention on it was at its peak. As you know, there was that scene in the final episode where the entire Production crew are lounging around their babygirl Brynn, and as the other women wake up and head into the kitchen, they are greeted with that. The message couldn't have been more clear. Ubah was sent away to a hotel like she was the danger. There was no doubt in my mind that Brynn was Production's pet. Good for Raquel and Sai who refused to be intimidated. Which is why I have argued that this Production crew (headed by you-know-who) need to be replaced. This morning, I started to watch the season all over again, and within the first MINUTE, we got the flash-forward to the cast filming their opening shots, a few days after the cast trip. And one of these very same producers, still in his vacation shorts, is snarling at Ubah for taking time in hair and make-up. "I'm trying to get everyone ready on time," he snaps. Ubah snaps back at him. She is so over the BS. For the record, Brynn hadn't even arrived yet as she was uber-late. I didn't clock it at the time, but it hits me now how Production operated.

Thanks for clarifying. That is going to be confusing though. I hope LoL gets some marketing behind it because God knows Dubai rarely did.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Re: Ladies of London. Like @NothinButAttitude, I heard this was going to be RHoLondon and that Stanbury was going to be moving back part time with Sergio. But I guess Bravo decided that LoL had the more proven track record. Marisa Harmer (who had the world's most annoying voice before Jamie Kerns Lima burst on the scene last week) won't be coming back, as she moved to LA. I hadn't realized that she and Matt divorced. Neither will Duchess Caroline who sold her London townhouse during Covid and moved to Copenhagen full-time with her children. I would love to see Sophie Stanbury again, and I will even hate-watch Juliet Angus (another annoying vocal-fry person) if it meant some cohesion between Stanbury and some of the newer cast. I'm actually surprised Stanbury is moving back to the UK given that the government has rescinded the nom-dom tax status and so the wealthy are fleeing to Dubai, among other locales. I am one of the few bummed about the apparent demise of nuRHONY! I would have liked to see how they rebuilt a third season. With that said, I also wanted the OGs to return to Bravo permanently, and my hope was under the banner of 'The Real Housewives of Palm Beach.' In addition to Bethenny, Jill, Ramona and Sonja, Luann has family down there (she and her mugshot absolutely need to be part of the show), Aviva has an apartment in Miami, and Tinsley's mother Dale lives right in Palm Beach. Given the Mar-a-Lago inference, and the fact that Palm Beach is very protective of its name and residents, though, I would absolutely call it RHONY: Snowbirds, an inspired title. This show needs to happen! Thanks, Cheap! This write-up is so detailed and INSANE. I'm sure more of this will spill out onto the show. What I got out of this is that Ralph has been living off of Drew and is likely expecting her to pay him alimony. At some point they will have to sell the house and move to smaller accommodation each. It boggles the mind how much they seem to have spent beyond their means. It's not as bad as PK and Dorit, but it ain't good, and she's the only one with some steady income.

At the beginning of this episode, Kelli was wearing a strappy camisole top with what looked like cut-outs for the boobs to breathe. She was stuck behind a table, but I don't know what we would have seen had she sneezed. The entire cast have enviable figures for sure, but the pressure on some of those boob jobs must be painful.

Oh, I noticed. At some point during the family scene, though, the 'family drama' took over, is all I meant.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This in a nutshell. Relieved we got a break from Brit's 'Kenya trauma,' and I'm all for family scenes, but this one came across as very scripted. Grandma delivered her lines the best, but the sister screaming at the other sister on Facetime was a lot. Also, Brit had plastic surgery to look like a video vixen from the 2000s and now barely resembles her mom + siblings. I'm Team Angela, especially the way she dealt with Porsha, Shamea and Kelli one by one. I also think she has been asked to keep a central SL percolating for the rest of the season and she's like 'OK, I'll do my part.' I hesitate to mention this because it sounds judgmental. But it's about Brit and Kelli's dress sense. I like some of Brit's ensembles, but the outfits of both have become revealing to the point where Bravo may soon have to pixelate. Porsha, Drew, Angela and Shamea look buttoned up in comparison. Yes, I'm getting old.

Colour me surprised-- I must have completely blanked that you weren't feeling Dubai S2 when it aired. I may disagree with some of what you've expressed, but ITA that Dubai never popped for me as a 'character'. The show was filming mostly in the cast's homes, which i think is part of the culture -- parties (and scandals) tend to be behind closed doors, and the rulers protect the image of the city closely. But it meant we didn't get a feel for the place.

Seriously! Brooks was always very Malificent, thriving off the downfall of others, which was toxic. But clearly she had studied the RH and knew she had to be the chaos agent while Ayan knew to be the meme. Stanbury was the Queen Bee, Lesa was the insecure beauty, jealous of Stanbury's influence. Sara was my girl, fronting for her culture but hiding things. These women were flawed but I miss what they contributed. I wish he had a S3 to watch. I'd love to know how the Ayan/Lesa friendship survived, and why the Sara/Saba friendship went south. A month ago, Taleen, Stanbury and Ayan met up for lunch and posted on their social media, and it was nice to see some of the relationships still going strong. I hope Garcelle and Camille both feel vindicated. Its a pity neither will be around when the fake robberies are surely exposed.

RHODubai Rewatching S2. This show should never have been cancelled. RHOBH Dorit has filed for divorce, and the details show the couple is (shocker) deeply indebted, to the point where it makes that 'home invasion' look as suspect as Garcelle said it was (and was raked through the coals for).

What a great gift -- Miami bringing the sun in Gemini season.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I am seriously in tears right now! I know! I was sad not to catch Adriana, but my girl Dr. Nicole has a VERY prominent cameo, and she looks fantastic! As for the trailer itself -- cinematic, glowing, stunningly shot. Seville is one of my favorite cities on earth! It looks absolutely top-tier, and so does the drama! I feel like so much of it is real, too (Larsa and Marcus, Lisa and her new man, My Guerdy vs My Julia?? Say it ain't so). Miami is a class apart and I am so thrilled it is returning. These women seem like they love doing the show. Like @Cheap21, though, i think Kiki should have been promoted to HW.

I can't help but wonder how Angela would have interacted with Nene and the others. There is something OG about her in the way she stands her ground and won't put up with BS. Maybe she wouldn't have been a hit in configurations of the past, but at the moment, with RHOA in soft reboot, she is exactly what this franchise needs. She grounds the show to an extent. And she's got a sense of humor.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The nasal drives me about as nuts as her empty, therapy-speak phraseology. She is literally ridiculous playing the sad violin about her fallout with Kenya. And while I do think Porsha has a right to be upset at Dennis and Drew, her targeting of Angela is wrong. I'm not surprised Porsha said what she did about Charles -- Porsha has always been in search of rich sugar daddies. Wedding ring be damned. I did love Cynthia and Porsha's scene together, because that is a good decade of history between the two women. Nevertheless, Cynthia making nice with Brit, I can see why Kenya might be pissed. Angela is a boss. I really like her.

Wow! I would have put this woman at 30, 40 max. She looks a lot younger.

Oh, I don't think Drew should be fired for providing that info either. I'm debating whether Kenya should have been fired in the first place, but you are right, we (and maybe Bravo) did not have all the pieces of the puzzle back then. It is only with the input of the audience watching at this moment in time that other info is coming out. Agree with both of you. Kenya has been critical of Bravo quite openly, and (implicitly) of Andy Cohen. She basicly said (as did Nene) that RHOA built the Bravo house but gets shafted in favor of BH. And even within RHOA she has called out production favoritism. Both parties were not happy with the other. Bravo was looking for a reason, I think. Brit did that webcam stuff when she was a grown adult, and admitted it was not a big deal at the time. She later tried to scrub it from the internet when she wanted to reinvent herself and I get that, but now that it is out there, viewers will respect soneone more when they cop to it [(c) Luann] and admit they've made mistakes. She could have shut Kenya down right there for trying to shame her publicly (a tactic Kenya has often used with women in the past). Instead she's boohooing over a vast number of episodes and months about the deep trauma inflicted on her. Give me a break and own up to your part. How on earth has this ageing, smokey piece of gristle managed to snag a younger DoritBot? Does he have money again all of a sudden? Rumor is that after this news item came out, Dorit officially filed for divorce, but it is just a rumor at present.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Between this tea and the divorce we are watching unfold on our screens, Drew really is a lot more interesting than some give her credit for. She's undercover, too. She had Brit in her sights all this time and we never even picked up on it! And if she did supply Kenya with the evidence, why is Kenya the only one banished? Why is Production bending over backwards to accommodate a pistol-threatening newbie in her sob story? I still say Kenya should have stayed on the show and allow the chips to fall where they may. People's past always come back to haunt them. Especially on RH. It's about whether a HW can own it and move on that's the important part.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I did not even realise that Kenya and Cynthia had a scene talking about it that was cut. I did see at the spa event, Cynthia told Kenya she did not like how Kenya handled it, but that she loved her and they would talk soon. Now I understand from Carlos King's latest podcast that Kenya is no longer talking to Cynthia, and in her Confessional on YouTube, Kenya pointedly said she did not want to talk about Cynthia. So they are on the outs. Thoughts?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
As soon as Mia said she had moved to ATL and was 'bowing out' of RHOP, I feared she'd be making heart-eyes at the RHOA producers.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Have finally caught up on ATL and the Kenya Konfessional (which, I must admit, was compelling, comprehensive and fire) made me miss Kenya's presence in the last two episodes of the show itself. Kenya was right about not backing down in front of bullies because they only understand the language of power, and that's the language she understood growing up. It is crazy to me that Brit would want her gone when Brit's entire reason for existing on RHOA depends on Kenya being there. Without her, the ex 'webcam girl' is just bitchin into the wind. Boo hoo. Her husband looks totally over it. So does Angela who does not give a sh!t what anyone thinks of her and won't be intimidated into backing down. Angela is a really great addition to the cast. Imagine if Kenya had a sitdown with Cynthia about why she did what she did, called Cynthia out for not having her back (Cynthia would have answered that she didn't support what Kenya did and she wasn't going to lie to her about it). Imagine if Production arranged it so that Kenya and Brit had a big old sit-down, Caroline Manzo and Danielle styles. Imagine if Porsha had to choose between inviting Kenya or Brit to the Nashville trip. (And we know who Porsha would have chosen! She seems thrilled to have Kenya gone so she can be sole Queen Bee. But as usual, too much Porsha is not always a good thing, and her domineering, controling, prone-to-anger personality starts seeping through. Porsha has autocratic tendencies and is always about presenting a carefully curated image. Last episode 'crying' about how the Simon she knew was only a persona cements my view that Porsha found out there wasn't nearly as much money as she thought and quickly disengaged). (Speaking of presenting a carefully curated image -- Drew! That was quite a thrilling segment of Drew and Ralph rushing to Court. Drew wanted the divorce details sealed and now they will be unsealed. I wandered what she was worried about in there). Back to Kenya and Brit. Both women have beef with the other that needed to be laid out on the table. The fact that the cast or the cast + Production decided to stop filming with Kenya IMO punishes one person over the other --and Brit started it, quite honestly, with a constantly-repeated pistol threat that Bravo refused to take seriously. They should take any and every pistol threat seriously! Brit should have AT LEAST been docked a few episodes + pay to teach her a lesson that running your mouth has financial and participatory consequences (and i imagine money and the platform this show affords are important to that insecure loudmouth). Kenya was reacting to that lack of protection so she wanted to put Brit in her place. And if there photos are readily available on the web from Brit's webcam past... Brit needs to just own it and not act like Kenya just killed her firstborn. She's not in mourning here. If it was no big deal when she and a friend first did the webcam, why is it a big deal now? I don't know if Kenya has closed the door on returning by speaking out. I hope not. For me, the show only really works with both OGs and newbies mixed together. Which is why I wonder how the next 11-12 episodes will pan out. Bringing Cynthia and later Phaedra back suggests to me that Production was worried that the cast couldn't hold it together? We are only at episode 7 and the big, juicy stuff has happened. I will keep watching, though, as this is so far RHOA's most entertaining season in a couple of years.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh i know you shaded her! You and I are on the same page when it comes to Heather's endgame. I know Heather wants her back, so that she can fall back into her old comfort zone of playing the BFF victim. A role she really needs to shed because nobody buys it anymore. And Monica would love a reason to rejoin the show. However, i don't think these folks realise how far they have moved on from that dark vortex of suck. She gobbled up their personalities. Nobody existed except to react to Jen Shah or fall in line behind her. Without her, we have seen Mary blossom and take centre stage, Monica rise and fall like a shooting star, Lisa Barlow take on a more aggressivly proactive position on the show, a happier Meredith, Heather, Angie and Little Girl bloom in confidence. I'm not sure Bronwyn would ever have come on the show had Jen Shah been there. Should she return, it would become The Jen Shah Show all over again, and I simply do not care about this person to buy whatever histrionics and false narratives she is shilling.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It is eye-opening, and to my point earlier about Garcelle being a proxy for the audience.... It wasn't just sadness at being rejected by Sutton or the FFF that we were seeing cross her face. It was disgust at the gaslighting, it was irritation and boredom at the inanity of it all. She realised that RHOBH, Bravo's crown jewel, is an empty, hollow vessel. There is nothing there. She walked away without looking back, showing how easy it was to let that nothingness go, even as Dorit screeched after her. I'm glad there are other RH franchises I can turn to. I know you mentioned that BH won't ever change because of its ratings, but those ratings are slipping fast. Dorit ain't it, Kyle gaslighting the audience ain't it, Sutton ain't it. It badly needs a shakeup. Or, as the Bravo Boys podcast suggested, we give Jennifer Tilly her own spin-off where she travels to Europe to buy exquisite jewellery. Typical Kyle who after all these years, feels she has to imitate what LVP built years ago. What a great write-up of the Countess Luann's show! I have not ever read a bad review of her cabarets -- even the most introverted observer is won over by the audience camaraderie and interaction with Luann, the belly laughs, self-deprecation, her enthusiasm and love of perfoming. Luann is a TV icon, and I don't use that term lightly.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Stick a fork in it, BH is done. The only moderately interesting tidbit was Kyle stalking LVP in her neighborhood and briefly pledging to buy the house overlooking Villa Rosa's driveway. Kyle stays unable to let go of her inferiority complex with Lisa. And her coyness about Morgan has reached self-parody at this point. My heart ached for Garcelle. You could see the realisation in her eyes in real time. What am I doing here? These people hate me. Why must I keep pretending? Her unspoken disgust when Andy asked her if she'd dated any other A-listers, or when he asked if she'd reached out to Terri -- a Coven-Production set-up if ever there was one. Watching these last few years, you realise how Garcelle has largely reflected the voice of the audience, in the sense that her visceral reaction to The Coven mirrors our own. Without her, BH is an unmoored clown car, driven by a cackling Lisa Rinna in Joker make-up off a cliff. Oh yes, i heard! And apparently there's an allegation of identity theft on Bronwyn?? My mind is boggling. SLC cannot start soon enough. So glad you noticed the Heather part also. She better not be laying the groundwork for the felon's return!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The Valley was pretty soapy, I must say. The vibe gave me The Hills, but with millennials. Your recommendation is making me want to check out S2. Yes, it's a shame we won't have a two-RH tag-team. I feel like there is strength in numbers. ATL and MIA will be holding up the fort for June at least.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
And not a moment too soon! I will miss my Dr. Nicole, though. 😪 On Sunday, there was discussion on this thread of a possible 'pause period' in the RH schedule. Last year we had April and most of May a RH-free zone and, as much as I b!tch about these shows, RH Lent gave me acute withdrawal. I was watching The Valley, for God's sake. When RHODubai started, I fell upon it like it was the chocolate Easter bunny! This year, we no longer have Dubai (unfair IMO), nor NJ (fair), and RHONY is figuring itself out (and hopefully saying bye-bye to the EP), so I was concerned we'd be 3 months' away from any new RH show. I cannot wait for the Miami trailer to drop. In other news, SLC is already back from the cast trip in Australia (!!!), Bronwyn is still on the show and still in the drama, and I can't wait for the new season to start as well.
