  1. As skeptical as I was about this (London is facing some tough financial times),the trailer has retained a certain Ladies of London vibe. Juliet was wisely kept until later in the trailer while they established the Alphas. Nice to see Dorinda and Stanbury, hopefully they will be FOHs because they are our entry into this new franchise.
  2. Life Twirls on with Kenya and Miss Lawrence. GREAT episode!
  3. I know Katie is not perfect (by any means), but something about the way she owned her weaknesses and vulnerabilities at reunion won me over. As did her Korean adoptee backstory. All this to say I'm going into this season on Team Katie at the moment. Heather and Emily have obviously had an alliance going since last season to tag-team Katie. Looking forward to catching up on the season opener.
  4. It was refreshing! The cast trips of RHOC and NJ did not do Ireland justice. Yes, the weather is not tropical. Don't go if you want a beach resort! But my friends finagled a deal at a nice hotel in Dublin which had incredible service and cocktails. Then County Kerry which was an alpine oasis. Beautiful scenery and fresh air and natural waterfalls. The people I met were natural storytellers. It reminded me what I loved about soaps back in the day: the stories. Im a city girl, but the place felt like a balm on my soul. I hope you have a relaxing vacation in the coming months, wherever you decide to go. P.S.: the blonde guy on Next Gen NYC is almost completely without feeling or empathy, but I see why they kept him on the show, lol. Taoboi, you've written me very kind messages on this thread before, but this is truly the kindest. It's been rough dealing with entitlement, laziness, manipulation from some of the younger ones... and pressure from above to maintain work quality and meet deadlines. I saw my workload triple. I saw great colleagues leave, or become subject to fake complaints at the whim of a few ruthless newbies. I suspect you completely know how it is! It is actually making people I know consider AI (which i find troubling and worrying, because it kills critical thinking). I think smartphones ruined concentration levels and work impetus in some people. But I loved your story about meeting your former trainee. It's so great to see those you trained thriving because you helped show them the way. I've had that experience too. Perhaps he can put a good word for you at this fancy hotel for another job. Vacation is necessary to recharge one's batteries. I hadn't really gone on one since 2019. If you can, the US has such a diversity of places to visit. Denver and Boulder, the breath-taking Rockies. Salt Lake, too. The political aspect is very stressful right now, so go where you feel comfortable. I heard San Fran was going through tough times, but if you find a nice stay somewhere, I hope you take it. A colleague just came back from Seattle and adored it. Plus if you stay in US/Canada, you can keep up with RHOM, RHOC and RHOA, Lol.
  5. I'm sorry your weekend was so rough. 😪 Please take a vacation when you can, because the one I took did me the world of good. I've had a rough year with workload becoming overwhelming to the point of exhaustion. My immune system got so run down. Friends from Boston invited me to Ireland (County Kerry and County Cork), and the people there were so nice, friendly and communicative. I felt welcomed and embraced. I laughed, I ate well, and the weather/countryside was fresh and restorative. I hope you get to go somewhere fun very soon. Try training them! They have taken years off my life. With some great exceptions I have worked with... the poor work ethic. The unearned entitlement. I'll leave it at that. Having said that, I've dipped briefly into Next Gen NYC, and while it is not the second coming (that would be RHOM!), it has its enjoyable moments. Including Ariana, daughter of one Kim Zolciak, who right off the bat let us know that she made millions on IG/TikTok, which Kim & Kroy promptly 'moved' from her bank account. Insane.
  6. @Taoboi I just came back from a long-awaited vacation and caught up on the last two episodes of RHOM. (I also caught up on the RHOA finale, but since reunion is tonight, I will spare you my thoughts. Needless to say, I agree with all of you about Angela, think that next season needs proper OGs like Kenya and Nene to return. Kelli & Brit need not apply). Firstly, I was willing to give Julia the benefit of the doubt. Not every fight between two HWs is black-or-white. I can see how Guerdy's personality might grate on some. She's always ON, her VTs are a mene machine. She's hustling for her business, hence why she might have rubbed Julia the wrong way on whatever the heck this Bravo Cruise thing was. However, underneath all that, we have seen a vulnerable, authentic woman over the years. She is not a bullsh!t artist. This year, Guerdy is at her most vulnerable, with her recovery, her reconstruction, her self-esteem as a woman. Some friends are there for a reason, and some for a season. I think Julia and Guerdy were never as tight as Nicole and Guerdy, and they grew apart. And when little things about the other started to get on their nerves, it exacerbated everything. I also think Guerdy never hit it off with the other women, which means she is largely isolated. Julia's assault on Guerdy was cruel, targeted and unacceptable behaviour. Julia was not drunk, Julia was looking for a moment. Guerdy sitting there in shock with wine dripping all over her was an image that stuck with me, because you could see how badly she'd been blindsided by a friend. On that note, Julia's slow edging out of Adriana is also quietly painful to behold. They've been friends, off-screen, for a decade, and the fact that she would cut her loose for a bunch of fairweather castmates is ugly. The fact that Adriana was not invited to Marysol's celebration makes me think that Alexia-Marysol-Larsa have commandeered Julia over to their side. They targeted Nicole last year, and now she's gone; this year, they want to edge Guerdy and Adriana off the show. This will be absolutely ruinous for RHOM which has a lease of life today it never had in its 2012 incarnation. And that is down to the dynamism and chemistty of this cast. If another two people go, I honestly don't see the deeply boring and vapid Larsa driving the A storylines on RHOM. Lisa vs Larsa is doing little for me thus far. They need the others (especially Adriana and Team Newbies) to keep the cast chemistry thriving. Speaking of Newbies, Stephanie is an interesting addition thus far. Im trying to figure out if she actually has Money-Money, or whether she and her husband have indebted themselves to get a spot on the show. I'm thinking she has actually coin. I also enjoy her quirky, ladylike, 1960s-esque style.
  7. They went for Iconic Potomac Reunion Yellow in the hopes of lightening striking twice. 😅 And what in the Final Fantasy hell is Phaedra channeling? It is giving bougie goat.
  8. ...And he will hereby be known as Antoyne's Friend. You need to interview him and find out who put him up to this, lol.
  9. You know what? I was OK with Jody this episode. Yes, he has Coke-Face, but I thought he was pretty reasonable with Larsa in the car. She's the one who nobody wants to film with, except her mother. Is Lisa a fair-weather friend? Absolutely. But so is Larsa. Neither of them should be relied on for excessive loyalty. But yes, definitely, given Miami's longtime reputation, this is all going to get muy escandaloso. What you are missing is Dr. Nicole. She anchored the show and Team Newbies. That's why not giving Kiki a mojito was a big mistake, because she could have balanced out the cast. 5 is just too small. Even with the FOHs. But make no mistake, I am really enjoying my Miami fix. Coke scandals. Alexia giving us Telenovela realness with that Todd tea. "Big apartment -- rented. Fancy car -- rented." Marysol is cute with her hubby. Guerdy & Russell. And Adriana is back to brunette and looks FANTASTIC. Once Alexia gets wind of Marysol's true feelings regarding Todd, it's going to get spicy.
  10. She thought she could extort NBC/Universal with a lawsuit she had no intention of filing? LMAO. Hopefully this is the last we ever see of that pea brain. What an embarrassment for whoever casted this fraud.
  11. Dr. Nicole is speaking nothing but the truth. And I say this as someone who likes Julia. I think she's been told by Alexia, and Marysol that she needs to secure her position on the show and thats why shes doing the most at the moment. The irony is, it isn't Guerdy she should be going after, it's womp-womp Larsa who I would absolutely not miss if she were to leave.
  12. @NothinButAttitude @Antoyne Totally agree. This was a glamorous, gossipy, chaotic premiere. Miami is back! Inject it into my veins. Or as Jody might say 'Snort it like the AC in my room with the code lock.' And I'm not sure Lisa wasn't doing a little AC herself this episode. RHOM is so breathtaking to look at. That shot of Lisa from the side walking in slo-mo through the restaurant was especially cinematic. Also, Kiki is one of the most beautiful (and funniest) women in RHs. How she did not get a mojito this season, i'll never know. I will always have a soft spot for Julia. I imagine she got close with Alexia and thats why she's been distant from Adriana. But Ii have no idea why Julia has decided to turn on Guerdy, who just went into remission and seems under stress and isolated. That hurt my heart to see. I always loved Team Newbies on RHOM and now they are breaking up. As great as this opener was, I really missed the grounded presence of Nicole. I hope she shows up many times this season. Couldn't care less about the Lisa-Larsa breakup, but it was entertaining in its ridiculousness.
  13. Monique coming back to RHOP is great! I wish Karen would be there to film with her because you know Gizelle and her acolytes will go after her hard. Gizelle has an irrational hatred of Monique... unless they reconciled after Mo's divorce and I didn't hear about it. With SLC, aren't they done or almost done with filming? I feel like we would have heard if Monica showed up. Kenya was careful not to wade into the Brit mess by name. She did a decent job with this vlog (and Gone With The Wind Fabulous remains a fantastic dance anthem). She did say RHOA needed to let people go who were better suited to Love & Hip Hop "or one of Diddy's parties."😆 She read my mind. When she talked about a potential cast, she mentioned Nene, herself (lol), Eva, Claudia, and even Viveca A. Fox. No mention of either Porsha or Cynthia.
  14. Keeping the show in LA is good news for the local TV industry, even though there are probably cost enticements to moving to a cheaper studio much further away. The Bells are staples in Los Angeles and probably would not have wanted the show far from the HW/EP. No doubt Sunset Las Palmas will be making room for Y&R as well. A winter move for that show, perhaps.
  15. I hope the Coven don't target and shut her down because i loved her on her Bravo show waaaaay back in the day.
  16. 'Brit Eady' is a fool for sitting on this a whole year thinking she was in the photos, and she wasn't. How many of her BJ pics are out there that she was initially confused? This is a quick money grab, but her TV career is over. This budget video vixen should never have been elevated to RHOA status. And Production/Bravo are fools for putting all their eggs in one basket. They bet on an unproven, scamming newbie in order to boot Kenya off the show. Short-term thinking on every level.
  17. The energy, the drama in just these tiny clips alone. Miami cannot start soon enough. This is really awful. Katie already has kids and cannot look after them. I hope she finds the right treatment that helps her deal with her psychological issues bc her addiction is likely tied up with those.
  18. I can only agree. Brit Eady (is that her real name? It's starting to sound a little 'Marlo Hampton'-esque to me) is not fit for purpose on this show. She is budget. You talked about Phelony Parks having a team of surgeons to knock her into shape, but so has this chick. Everything about her is contrived and inauthentic. Phaedra's VTs are not as good as I remembered them. She stays doing little onscreen but b!tching about these women 6 months later in the studio. The line about Angela looking old was particularly mean-spirited, considering her own age. Angela and Cynthia IMO have a youthful, upbeat spirit that comes off the screen. Drew did well. She was completely calm and collected, too. Kelli was her usual lapdog-for-hire self. Kelli goes wherever the wind blows.
  19. Super excited and they are going right in with Todd drama and Marcus drama. One small thing: who styled Queen Kiki for her VT like that??? They should be fired.
  20. She wishes! No-one forgot how she got exposed at S9 reunion.
  21. I've been missing Legend & Icon Countess Luann recently so I will check it out! Thanks! I heard about Dolores and RHORI, and I am more than OK with the decision to bring her on board. She's an anchor HW.
  22. Brit belongs on a low-budget, second-tier-cable-network show, not here. I have my doubts about Kelli also, but at least I like Kelli. Brit is practically an IG hologram. This is the cast member that production backed instead of Kenya? A fake pushing end-of-factory-line shapewear in a market already cornered by Spanx, SKIMS and tariffs? I'm putting it out there: Cynthia, Kenya and Nene need to return full-time next year. And given this brewing beef between Shamea and Porsha, I'm surprised that Kandi hasn't popped up as Shamea's FOH. She'd have lots to say on how Porsha blocked Shamea from joining RHOA earlier, I'm sure.
  23. @Taoboi @Antoyne There's something very comforting and entertaining about many 90s flicks. Point Break is still my favorite action movie of all time, and i can quote Clueless verbatim. It's such a comfort movie. And LOL funny. The reason Erin, Sai, etc, turned their nose up at Jessel's Clueless party was bc they were jealous of her being an audience favorite. They wanted to mask it behind being snooty about a party concept.
  24. I agree. It was an episode that let individual women and their stories breathe, and the central SL of Shamea-Porsha was allowed to percolate before heading towards another confrontation. I appreciated the realness of the 4th-wall conversation because that made a lot of sense in terms of why their friendship was where it is. It wasn't some contrived story to cover the fact that it was the show which drove them apart. Similarly, Angela and Charles seemed to be reacting to being filmed as much as talking about their issues. Couldn't agree more about Cynthia. She handled both Shamea and Porsha with affection and empathy. She brings the group together.
  25. First of all Bless you for name-checking Henry James in allusion to Ladies of London! That is exactly it! American heiresses mixing with British high society, only updated to the modern day. I would add that Henry James's close friend Edith Wharton also excelled in writing about the Gilded Age, with Americans feeling the pull of the 'old country,' and vice versa. I can vouch for there being many well-connected American ex-pats still living here. Most connected to financiers, but some now to tech. And the class system which all Brits reject and yet still, in some way, adhere to. I hope nuLOL preserves that because Bravo really captured the mix so well in seasons 2 and 3.
