The Beyoncé Thread
Beyoncé has been planning this tour since the Super Bowl. I don't think she really cares anymore about the typical album-tour release schedule like a lot of artists. Similar to Rihanna. She goes on tour and releases her album whenever and whatever way she wants. This album is supposedly her least commercial effort yet, and she supposedly stopped performing her most popular songs on her most recent tour. She really isn't playing the game anymore.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I've hated Ramsey since the moment I laid eyes on him. I feel like the writers have such a crush on him, so I feel we're stuck with him until the end of this season, if not the end of the series.

HBO: Game of Thrones
This episode felt so boring to me. I remember last year when the leaks happened and how I could barely contain myself in trying to watch them all, and now I have such zero passion about this show. HBO isn't shaping up for a great year. Girls was meh, this seems directionless. Holding out hope for the Looking movie.

I didn't care for anything in the trailer. I'm finding it harder and harder to care about anything that happens in the capital, as all of them are so incredibly inefficient and incompetent (Does anyone care about Cersei to even actively dislike her at this point? Jamie is a limp dog since he got his hand sliced off. Margery was always weak sauce, Tommenen a straw man king if there ever was one). All I get is apathy from these individuals. Jon and Dany are further and further away from their needed places. I don't care about Arya being blind or Tyrion ruling Mareen. Drogon disappears again. It feels like they don't know where they're going.- HBO: Game of Thrones
It's not a spoiler. (I have no inside information) It's my own personal opinion, but it seems the obvious conclusion. I never believed he was going to stay dead even after I saw the season finale.- HBO: Game of Thrones
I thought it was most likely because of their snafu last season where they leaked 4 episodes with their HBO GO launch. I think by now everyone knows that Jon Snow isn't dead (or at least he isn't going to stay that way).- Grey's Anatomy: Discussion Thread
I actually credit April and Jackson with the reinvigoration of this show, at least to a point. There was definitely a while in Grey's Anatomy's history where the show was quite boring, and where it felt as if it had lost all of it's luster. It took awhile but April and Jackson's courtship really turned things around in the show at around season 8. Granted they aren't the sole reason, but they are part of it. Now unfortunately it feels and seems as if they are going the way of Callie/Arizona. But April/Jackson are one of those magic couples on Grey's that it needs. I would say the same once applied to Lexie/Mark and Alex/Izzie . They really help with show morale.- HBO: Game of Thrones
Well he failed to give a compelling reason why Sansa had to be raped, which is what makes me feel this way. I felt that it was a gratuitous choice in the first place, and it always seemed like another tool for them to utilize to flagellate Theon further, and to emasculate him more as a cowardly figure. But we are all entitled to our own opinions.- HBO: Game of Thrones
I'm not buying into their apologies or sadness either really. They revel in their own filth whenever they write for the Ramsay storyline. The writers themselves have even said that they like writing storylines in which Theon suffers. Sansa was a tool for them to utilize to torture the fan base, and was another trophy for Ramsey to "win." Nothing they say will rid me of that belief. He can take his tears and sprinkle them over his food for seasoning, as far as I am concerned.- HBO: Game of Thrones
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, Game Of Thrones is pretty much the only thing fueling HBO subscriptions at this point. It would make no sense to lose it this quickly. I don't care at all for that promo. I would rather they not release anything, than provide a promo with no information about the upcoming season. In regards to the adaptation dispute, I don't understand why HBO couldn't have taken a slower pace to the series. There is probably plenty of material to adapt, as I imagine. So I don't see why they couldn't have done a book per season approach, or why they couldn't do a book to multi-season approach. Just my two cents, I don't read the books, but I think it might have helped GRMM more had they done that.- The Lady Gaga Thread
Yes, really! It's been about a year since she started turning her image around. You may not have noticed it at the time, but following the album with TB, this was the FIRST time in eons that people stood up and took notice of her talent, instead of condemning her for her antics. Even the biggest haters (some of them here) could not find a single thing to criticize and (wisely) stayed silent. After that, the whole perception of her started to change. You can go a back even in this very thread and see that. Getting the part on AHS helped, then the Golden Globe and, of course, the Super Bowl. It's been a process of over a year. Of course, this doesn't mean that winning that GG didn't go a long way, but there's been positive talk ever since SOUND OF MUSIC. The album with Tony Bennett didn't do much of anything either, Gaga pretty much treated it like a side project. We can agree to disagree but I think the watershed moment was her Golden Globe win. The Sound Of Music tribute performance was just that a performance. It didn't really sow the seeds of a comeback. I don't think it did much of anything for her since she has more or less been on radio silence until the GG's.- The Lady Gaga Thread
It wasn't the Golden Globe. The change started with her SOUND OF MUSIC tribute last February, and her toning down her costume antics. The Golden Globes just furthered it. Not really, the Sound Of Music Tribute was a successful performance, no more than that. That is not what is changing the narrative for her. She has the makings to really comeback to an extent and become prominent once again, and that has just recently been established due to the good will of her surprise Golden Globe win, which has legitimized her in Hollywood in a new, revitalizing way. Her Grammy performance did not do that. Neither really did the Super Bowl. The golden globe win, is when things really started changing again for her. She could still fall flat on her face, but it feels like people are really rooting for her not to at this point, compared to how it was in late 2011 and onward, where it felt like they were waiting for her to fall on her face.- The Lady Gaga Thread
That Golden Globe win really turned her entire career around.- Degrassi: The Next Generation
Where in the world is Cassie Steele? I need her to come back and give an interview. She was on the show for like ten seasons, and was a co-lead that I lived for. Her self-love character arc is one of the best written arc of the series.- Britney Spears Thread
hasn't had a breakthrough hit in years, and the fact she is hiding in Vegas where all oldies acts go I think just illustrates my point. That's like saying Billy Joel is a current major artist because he sells out Madison Sq. Garden. Where are her hits, hits being those insscapable songs that defy charts and are heard everywhere? Uptown Funk is one, Hit Me Baby One More Time was another, but what was Britney's hit these last ten years that anyone knows anymore or is heard anyplace? Where will anyone hear this "song" unless they go looking for it? Her last hit was in 2013 with Scream & Shout which peaked at #3, not exactly ancient - as it was the same year she released her last album. She could do worse. She hasn't charted recently because she hasn't released a new album since then. I don't know what you are talking about when you are talking about "ubiquitous hits", but Femme Fatale had three radio hits that all hit the top 3 of the Hot 100 and Top 40/Mainstream. "Hold It Against Me", "Till The World Ends", "I Wanna Go", and "Scream & Shout" were all top 3 hits of hers within the last 3-4 years. Britney is actually a bigger radio star post 2007 than she ever was in her early 2000's heyday. Most of Britney's earlier singles missed the Billboard Top 10 outside of Baby One More Time, Oops!...I Did It Again and Toxic. If you look through Wikipedia she has more #1's after 2008 then she did before it.- Degrassi: The Next Generation
Can they just bring back everyone from the first four seasons and follow them into adulthood? That is all anyone is here for.- HBO: Game of Thrones

I was such a huge fan of Craig and Manny from the original cast. I shipped them so hard, even though Craig was complete and utter posion to all the women he was paired with. He was literally the worst choice for Ashley, Ellie and Manny and turned them into complete messes of insecurity. He cheated on pretty much every single person he was paired with.- HBO: Game of Thrones
I don't know why everyone is concerning themselves over Jon Snow's "demise", it's painfully obvious that he isn't going to die or at least stay dead. This season was the worst one to me, it felt like the an overly long and morosely padded YA film, that takes place right before the finale of the triliogy. I feel like so little actually happened this season, and very little has actually changed for the characters involved.- Degrassi: The Next Generation
From that read up the last season that semi held my interest was season 6-7. I loved Manny and Craig together. When Jay and Manny got together I was pretty much done. Darcy and Peter were deal breakers for me when I first saw them. I couldn't stand them and I just didn't care for the Lakehursters.- Degrassi: The Next Generation
Yeah they should have given it one last season.- Degrassi: The Next Generation
Really? This was one of my favorite shows when I was in middle school, and I used to watch The N. But after the original characters who started the show moved on, so did I. I think the show started to show wear and tear somewhere around season 6 honestly characters like Darcy, Mia and Peter were the beginning of the end. I honestly remember being over this show when I was in high school and then never looked back. Ashley, Jimmy, Craig, Emma, Sean, Manny, Paige, etc. were the ones who really made this show work, and with out them it all fell apart.- HBO: Game of Thrones
I'm convinced the writers have a hard on for Ramsey. Like full blown.- HBO: Game of Thrones
This makes me nauseous, as I just see it as more Ramsey idealization by the writers who they have a hard on for. I don't understand how a person like this can exist and have fans, or worse have the writers and show runners root for someone like this. I was sickened when I heard the show runners say they loved the torture scenes between Ramsey and Theon, and now this just feels like more masturbatory fantasies for them. I'm of two minds about this. While I agree she more or less consented to sex with him, that doesn't mean that she agreed to be physically tortured and brutalized during it. I would liken it to a BDSM relationship with the submissive being abused. Consent is given for sexual activity, but without context on what they are "willingly participating in." This is definitely in some form or way qualified as sexual abuse, and we have seen how much Ramsey delights in torturing people. Sansa doesn't have any frame of reference for how Ramsey likes torturing people. I don't believe Sansa would consent to being hurt in that way from what we know of the character. - HBO: Game of Thrones
