The wedding was great, thanks for asking! It was a lot more laid back than I thought it would have been. My 2 little cousins were the ring barrers. One ran up to his dad during his reading and sat in his mom's arms before that saying 'why do we have to be quiet? Why do we have to be quiet mommy?" over and over again. The other was laying in the pew lokking bored and threw the ring pillow up at the bride (in fun, not in brattiness, he's little) but it made it a lot of fun. My sister and I couldn't stop laughing through most of it, but oh well!! Anyway, aside from having to dance with my cousin over way too many times I had a great time and I met some new cousins that are pretty cool (they're about 158 but they are a hoot and a half). Then there's my cousin Lori. I haven't seen her in years, but she's a damned riot!! She's so Staten Island, but she's hysterical.

I have to load all my pictures, but here is one for now. It's kind of crappy and fuzzy but I'm the one on the right in the wine colored dress.

Oh well, looking forward to the show tomorrow. As for Friday, I'm with MinervaFan. I didn't think it was that great (though I did like the 'it's a wig, genius!" line). I don't know if I've seen the whoel show b/c we had an interruption, but the two scenes I saw were a little bit pitiful. Tomorrow looks like it'll be fabulous though! Anyway, goodnight all!!

Thank you Hooked for the clips! I had to catch up on the later half of the week. It was depressing having Tracy talked about so negatively for three episodes straight. And the horrid wig is back! I am keeping my fingers crossed for a fabulously emotional exit between Tracy and Dillon. I am going to miss that character.

Welcome back! Glad to hear that the wedding went well.

I also finally caught up on Thursday and Fridays episodes. Thanks for the clips, hooked! I thought Thursday's episode was really good. As much as I was down on Ned on Wednesday. I really enjoyed his scenes with Dillon on Thursday. And SC really did a terrific job showing Dillon's conflict. I'm going to miss Dillon sooo much. Especially seeing his relationship with Tracy. She's running out of allies!

I agree with several of you who said that they didn't love Friday's scenes. Tracy is such strong character, not to mention a fighter, and it's so hard to watch her being humiliated, especially in front of the whole Quartermaine family. I have a feeling Monday's scenes are going to be amazing, but really tough to watch. I'm sure JE and SC will knock whatever the writers give them out of the park!

coolkid: I was home watching my classic Another World tapes from '96 when Donna was on the lam because everyone thought she was the Bay City Stalker. I love her and Michael in that storyline. If I can ever find a place that will copy my old VHS onto DVD, I'll post the clips for you. I also wonder if my mom might have any 80s GH tapes. At one point I found a tape with Frisco and Felicia's first wedding in 1986, but I have a bad feeling that I forgot to label it, so who knows where it is. I also once found a tape with Michael and Donna, I think from sometime in '95 when Donna was with Matt where she and Michael maybe got drunk (or were drugged) and were acting all lovey-dovey and Bridget found them. Next time I'm home I'm going to have to do some searching...I would love if I could find some old Tracy footage...

ETA: Can somebody tell me why, when she is in Shadybrook, Tracy is perfectly coiffed with the bling and the make-up, but the minute she escapes, she has no makeup on at all? I mean, what is up with that? Did she do it on purpose?

Perhaps Shadybrook has a country club wing for the wealthy crazies, where you're allowed access to all the bling and Clinique you could ever desire...

TL: Do you have a laptop or desktop? If you have a fairly new laptop (and probably if you have a newish desktop) your computer will have an internal wireless card and if other people in your building have wireless networks setup you might be able to access their signal. If your computer has a wireless card, I'm sure your daughter would be able to hook you up. I want to see Tracy win, too! She's up 25 points from last week. Whooot!

hooked: I didn't make a rainbow cake, but I did make red, white, and blue funfetti cupcakes! I randomly found star shaped cupcake foils at my local store, and they we're a hit at the cookout. I just love funfetti.

My speculation on yesterday's show.

First Ned. Ned, Ned, Ned.....you know I love me some Ned, but

his callous attitude towards his mom is...well, considering their history together, understandable. We've seen it before, so it's not completely OOC for him to just blow this whole thing off to follow his own dreams. Besides, this is hardly the worst situation he ever left his mother in to fend for herself--she was far more desparate at the beginning of The City, when she was facing jail time, homelessness, and losing her son....and he wouldn't lift a finger to help her then. In Shadybrook, she's got three square meals, a bed, security and..well, much needed psychological help. As for ELQ, this is just another chapter in the never-ending drama that is ELQ, and Ned hardly is in a position to give much of a damn about it, as long as his dividend checks keep coming.

OTOH,

it's not like Tracy doesn't deserve a bit of resentment from Ned. She's used him, neglected him, bullied him, treated his wives like dirt, helped to destroy every serious relationship he's ever had, fill in the blanks. Tracy is not an innocent victim of a callous son--she is reaping what she's sown with Ned. it's a harsh reality, but unless somebody is dead or dying, Ned and Tracy do not have what you would call a close, loving, mother-son relationship.

And then there's Dillon...

I've been saying that Dillon's a spoiled ungrateful brat for a while. But then I think about how sheltered he's been by Tracy, and I wonder if he ever really understands what she suffered to keep him at her side, what she risked and what she lost for him? I wonder if Dillon will ever have a true understanding of what Tracy is or what she's been through. How can you be grateful for something you don't truly comprehend? And Ned, in some backwards but ultimately generous way, is trying to spare his younger brother some of the pain he's been through. He's knows Tracy well enough to know that when the crisis is averted, 99% of her promises will vanish into thin air and it will be business as usual. I don't think Ned planned this to occur when Tracy was so desparate, and I think he was prepared to help Dillon fight Tracy for this opportunity. But just because Tracy is in a scrape, that doesn't mean he's going to let his brother throw away his dreams. Because the Q's will always be embroiled in drama, Ned knows, and if you wait for that drama to settle down, you'll be waiting forever and you'll never have a life of your own.

So. Ned was a jerk, but it was completely understandable why he was a jerk. As someone who made the very difficult decision to physically remove myself from my family's drama 14 years ago, amidst much guilt and doubt, I can understand how sometimes you have to be what appears to be cruel in order to preserve your own sanity.

But, more importantly, Tracy looked wonderful. Actually, she looked great, and her therapy scenes were hilarious. Jane and Stu were freaking great, and I was amazed at how the actress who plays Lainey managed to keep a straight face through it.

I think that your Tracy/Ned/Dillon dynamic analysis is right on.

Tracy would be the first to admit that she's a terrible mother, so I can understand why both boys would have resentment. That said, Ned still annoys me, since I tend to side with Tracy.

LOL. And as much as Tracy meddles in her sons lives and as much as she's always looking out for #1, she really does love them and tries for what she feels is best for them. I think you make a good point about Ned trying to save Dillon some of the pain he's been through in his relationship with their mother.

Shoot! I'm going to be so late for work... I guess I'll have to cut this short for now. Hope she's on again today!

Ned was being a bit of an a$$. It was great that he stood up to Edward (ever so slightly) about what a good job Tracy is doing at ELQ. But seriously. How heartless is he to leave Tracy to rot at Shadybrook? He couldn't even swing by for a visit to see how she was faring? Come on, Ned! I love Ned, I really do, but does he always have to be so freaking sanctimonious where his mother is concerned?

Ms. Q: I was watching the clip you posted awhile back on Hella Good of Tracy introducing Dillon to the fam. So funny! I was on a GH hiatus at the time, so I'd never seen it before. A belated thanks for sharing. I love how she says to Monica: "Sweetheart, you ought to think about updating the hairdo." LOL

Hi guys! I'm up on the Cape for a friends bachelorette weekend. And so excited that I have wireless access. Whoo! I've only seen up through Thursday, but Tracy was amazing this week. I love her relationship with Lulu. I was watching some old clips and it's interesting how she's gone from calling her stepwitch to Tracy, to "my stepmom." Awww.

Skye moves back into the Q mansion.

Other than the writers, what on earth would precipitate that spoiler? As I recall the patriarch and the person that owns the house hate her.

TL: I have a Hella Good account, but I haven't played the game. How do I support our girl?

I just haven't much been in the mood for GH this week, not even to really comment on Tracy. Something happened pertaining to work ( don't read if you don't want to be saddened or depressed. I'm still not over it and I can't get it out of my head):

A client of mine, her house caught on fire late Sunday/early Monday, and she lost all three of her children in the fire. Her little boy would have been eight yesterday. And I know it has nothing personal to do with me, I knew them but not well...and of course it was an accident and accidents just happen, that's life....but it's just so hard to think about and I'm trying not to yet can't. One of those things, ya know? The mother was sent to the burn center in Little Rock, HER mother and father and uncle were also in the house but are okay, my client has 3rd degree burns on 25% of her body, and the whole thing is just terribly, terribly sad. Such a tragedy.

So if you believe in prayer, or know someone who does, send some up for that family, would ya?

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. What a difficult situation. I will send lots of good thoughts and prayers to the family.

When Kin came back in January, a few of the more reliable sites, GHFF, wubs, and I think Carol at SoapZone reported that when Genie was on in Nov, she suggested the storyline that they pitched to Kin to get him back. I remember that she was always raving about Julie Marie/Lulu, so it seems to me that the story she sugested was probably Lulu & Scott's son.

I doubt it was anything we have seen so far, because Kin said in an early interview that we will see a better side of Scott this time, redeeming him. They didn't tell him that Scott had killed Rick Webber til after he was back and filming. He had just given an interview saying Scott would never kill anyone, so that wasn't it. (TIIC shafted you again, Shriner!)

Ahh...this makes more sense now. Hmm...I wonder how it will all play out. The whole Scott killed Rick Webber feels kind of unreal to me because I don't remember ever seeing the evidence. Can anyone remind me how they discovered Scott's crime? When Tracy said that she knew that he killed Rick, I was kind of like...umm...you only heard that he killed Rick. I don't recall Lulu and Spinelli ever coming across concrete evidence that Scott did it and even if they did Tracy definitely didn't see it. Or did I miss an episode...?

And you are correct, they haven't called Genie to come back at all because they are complete SOB's. As she says, why should they pay her when they can use the wig? I'm sure her original idea had Laura involved in some way.

As some of you know, I'm not the biggest Laura fan. Ok, I'm not really a Laura fan at all. But that said, it's dumb to have Laura have to be the center of attention story when she's not really even on the show. It doesn't make sense to have a wig get more screen time that actual characters.

Wubs also has a spumor listed that she thinks Spinelli is a Quartermaine--that would be hilarious...maybe he is Ned's son or something. Can you imagine tracy's face if she found out she was spinellis grandmother---LOL

I kind of love this spumor. It would be great to have another Q (even if it is Spinelli) and he would be hilarious with Jane. Especially given how much esteem Tracy holds "Spumoni" in. I love that she always thinks that he's on drugs. Lol.

Aww. Anna I was watching the thinking about you too I watched some aw tapes I had from soapnet. I miss that show. Do you have a link by any chance?

I love Lu Lacy (Lulu and Tracy) I think that they could be great with their new caper.

Why did they put Tracy in one of my least favorite recycled outfits. I would think that If she was going to be in Shadybrook she would at least get a new outfit.
