  1. They never would have gotten Kin back with this lame Laura storyline. Supposedly, Genie Francis came up with the storyline that brought Kin back. That had to be Laura's daughter & Scott's son.

Wait, wait, wait...back that up. Genie came up with this whole Logan is Scott's son and will fall for Lulu thing? Where did you hear that? I'm so confused. Everything I've read points to them not yet even calling Genie to invite her back again as Laura, so why are they getting story ideas from her? More back story please! (If you have it). :)

hooked/TL: I had my CT scan today and my sinuses are totally fine. Yay! The seems to leave me with a bad relapse of TMJ. :( Soft foods for me for awhile and a trip to the dentist on Tuesday for a mouth guard.

Nex: I watched your video again on my laptop on the way to the doctors. (Actually, I watched it a couple times.) It's definitely one of my new favs!

I missed watching the episode today. Anyone have clips? Pretty please.

  2. Hey BSG...where did you watch those clips? At the museum of Radio TV FIlm?

Yup I watched them at the Museum of Television and Radio (which has renamed itself the Paley Center for Media or something that's not very descriptive). I ran out of time so I only got to see a few minutes of the 25th anniversary special. The filming style was hilarious. It was kind of like watching someone's not quite professionally filmed wedding video from the 80s. They also had the 30th Anniversary Special and a fair number of random episodes. Unfortunately only the Luke and Laura (grrr) episodes had been cataloged so it was kind of a crapshoot, but I managed to randomly select an episode from October 1989 where Anna and Robert discover Victor Jerome's body at the Halloween benefit on Spoon Island. It was amazing how good the show was back then. Frisco, Felicia, Lucy, Scotty, and Monica were also in the episode and best of all there was some Tracy with David McAlister. I also watched The City New Year's Episode from 1996. Tracy was in it as well trying to fake sick so she wouldn't have to go to a New Year's Eve Party with Gino Soleito. LOL

  3. coolkid: if you're lurking out there, I thought of you this weekend when I watched a few clips from the GH 25th anniversary special. JE was decked out in this gold sequins 80s evening wear extravaganza and was greeting/hugging Anna Stuart. I would love to see the two of them act together someday. Unlikely, but I can dream, can't I? :)
  4. hooked! your story was amazing! I loved it. I absolutely loved it. Did you stay up all night writing it? You definitely have to sign up for one of those writing classes this fall.

Ms. Q: Hope you're having a great time. We missed you last night in the breakroom. Something TQ came up that we couldn't remember and we knew that you would. Of course by this time after work, I'm so fried I can't remember what I've forgotten. LOL

knh: The guy seems like a bit of a pompous jerk. He picked out a lot of the really great things about your piece, but in the process of critiquing your work his tone shifted the emphasis from your work to him. Oh, well. At least he said some nice (and true) things!

nex: Great video! You did such a nice job with it. Thanks for sharing!

Tomorrow I'm off to see the Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor for a CT scan of my sinuses to try to diagnose the facial pain/headaches/jaw aches I've been having. I'm hoping, hoping, hoping that it's nothing serious and that I'll be back to feeling like myself soon.

I have a bunch of stuff to do around the house tonight, but I'll try to swing by the breakroom later.

  5. Hi guys!

I'm back from my conference. So much for my planned downtime! I was going, going, going from 10am 'til 1:00am yesterday/today. I did get to watch the episode of Soap Opera Week on Family Feud Naughty vs. Nice on the way back. Thanks, TL!

Good luck waiting for your response from your prof, Kristin! I get the feeling from the review you just posted that your classmate is rather self-impressed. I'm all for constructive criticism and peer critiquing, but reading through his response it felt like he was trying a little too hard to show how intelligent he is. It seemed like he was stringing together comments that at first glance show off his supposed intellectual prowess, but that don't actually make sense on further reflection. Sorry to rant, but I just can't stand people like that! I hope his piece for the class was more readable than his critique. lol.

    ~bsg

Ooooh! Page 365! What do I win? :)

  6. Welcome, Inyron!

Deb/TL: I hope you are both feeling better. I've had a couple of attacks myself in the past 6 months. It's really frightening and disconcerting. And so hard to focus your attention away from how much you're freaking out and on to the calmer thoughts that will make you feel better. I hope you both have a relaxing weekend. Lots of deep breathes and destressing for all of us!

knh: That's awesome news about your grade (at long last). I think from our BR conversation you know exactly what I think of your horrible excuse for a professor. I could go on and on, but you have some closure, you're good work has been rewarded and you don't need me getting your blood boiling again! Congratulations! One big step closer to graduation. :)

I'm off to another conference this weekend. Hopefully there will be some downtime to catch up on my GH and hang out in the breakroom for awhile, but for now I'm off to pack. Ugh. Gotta get up early tomorrow morning...

  7. for Hooked and BSG and for whoever else read my story for me and has asked... this is the first response:

    Kristin,

Your story is really great. It is creative and I enjoy how you have such a good

sense of giving a character's viewpoint throughout the whole story and making it seem

very coesive. The character is not very complex, you have such a good idea of who she

is and who she wants to be at the same time. Sometimes when writers try to make

characters complex, you lose out on learning who they really are. By the middle of the

story, I really felt I knew who she was.

I think your dialogue was flawless and drew in the reader because it had such good

conversations between the two, it made it seem like I was reading a real life

conversation between two people. I like how you described Italy and the also you had

great settings in the story. This also gave me a great idea of who the character was

because of her interests of travel. Also, at the beginning of the story when you described

how she spent her days, that was a great insight into learning about her without blatantly

    describing her life and interests.

At first, you think these two people are opposites with the dance scene. This scene was

crucial to the story and you did a great job with it. I love that you made one of the two

characters somewhat clumsy with the dancing because it added some comedy to the

story, even though I would classify this story as a "slice of life," it has some comedic as

    well as dramatic, intriguing parts.

Congrats on the great feedback from your prof! You totally deserve it. I think you did a great job with the piece. You're going to rock the class.

hooked: I'm so glad to hear that the ceremony for your grandmother went well and that the rabbi was compassionate and comforting. I hope that you and your family are doing well during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you.

angel: Thanks for the recaps. I can't wait to catch up this week!

TL: Thanks again for the SoapTalk interviews and the Feud. So, so awesome. This week has been crazy at work, and I'm looking forward to hopefully have some downtime at the conference I'm going to this weekend to watch the rest of the feud. JE is too funny!

PS. Thanks for those medianet pics. No one does angry eyebrows like JI. lol.

Ms. Q: Hope you're enjoying Mexico! Have you gotten used to their keyboards yet? How are the teeth? I hope they're treating you well!

    ~bsg

  8. Hooked, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I remember you saying the other night how much you wanted to go visit her. My thoughts are with you and your family during this sad time.

My great aunt passed away in April. She was also 93 (she would have turned 94 last week). She sounds a lot like your grandmother. An amazing woman, fiercely independent and absolutely with it until the end--so with it that from the hospital she wrote us all this goodbye letter, I swear it was like a soap opera moment at her funeral when my dad started reading it. In her letter she told us how much she appreciated the good life that she had, how happy she was to have been able to spend her remaining days in the comfort of her home, and that we shouldn't mourn her, but rather remember her by her stories and the life she lead. It sounds like your grandmother probably felt the same way.

Have a safe trip to Miami. We'll all be thinking of you.

  9. TL and I are still in the breakroom if anyone else is around.

knh: how did your assignment turn out? I really enjoyed reading it. I'm sure your prof will as well.

coolkid: If you're out there thanks for hanging with my last Saturday night. You made my boring conference night fun. Donna Love forever! :D

  10. brownstone girl....we are still in the breakroom. Yes it was the oopsie daisy kiss they showed! Woo woo! Our girl made the emmys for a split sec! It ws a fan video with the fan saying "I wanna be a Quartermaine" and they showed edward, and then tracy/luke oopsie daisy kiss and then Dillon

Sorry I missed you guys last night! I was finally catching up on all of my missed Tracy clips. Yay!. Thanks for the link to the clips hooked, I am officially caught up.

I can't help myself when it comes to spoilers so I knew everything that was going to happen, but I have to say, when Luke told Tracy that he would always come back to her, it was way better than I could have imagined. That look that Luke gave Tracy when he realized that she was worried that he was leaving her was priceless. It was such a pure LuNacy moment. LOVED it! Not to mention I loved her hair in those post-verdict scenes.

Ok, the in-laws are coming tomorrow for Father's Day, so I have to work hard to make my place "mother-in-law" clean. Oy. I'm hoping to work quickly so I can swing by the breakroom later this evening.

PS. MinervaFan, you're not the worst person in the world (or if you are, I'm with you!). I had the exact same thoughts about Genie... The good thing is that her daughter is only 10 and with Genie wanting to raise her kids away from the spotlight, I really don't think that she would come back longterm at least until they were grown. Also, it makes for really lousy/boring storytelling to put Luke and Laura together right away. If Laura does come back for any extended period I would want them to make a big story about her discovering that she and Luke aren't actually married and that Luke is in love with Tracy. Then after they play that for awhile (and after Luke chooses our girl, of course), Laura can decide that she needs to be an independent woman and discover who she is without Luke and either leave the show or marry someone else. If I keep telling myself this over and over again it will become true, right? LOL

PPS. Am I a bad person for wanting Brian Frons to stay in charge because of his bias against GF?

  11. Anyone else watch the emmys tonight? I was tuning in periodically. Overall I thought the award show kind of stunk. It's like when they remade the Miss America pageant to be more "modern."

BUT....Towards the end they had this whole thing about thanking the fans and then they showed clips from the shows and I swear that the clip of Tracy kissing Luke at the Q mansion, I think from the Oopsie Daisy episode. Am I going totally crazy?

    Love your banner hooked!

Hi Ms. Q! We miss you! Hope you're having a great time in Mexico. Have a margarita for me! :)

    ~brownstonegirl

  12. Happy Birthday, Deb! Hope you had a good one! I just read your fic with Ned and Tracy and it was amazing! Really nice work. :)

Hi, Ms. Q! Nice to hear you're enjoying your time in Mexico. Isn't the keyboard thing infuriating? Especially when you're paying by the minute for computer time, lol. The same thing happened to me when we were in Mexico and the DR. It's really disorienting.

Sad that there was no Tracy today, but last week's episodes were great. I loved the white suit and just how JE/TG play their scenes. It's the small gestures that come through and really make LuNacy come alive. I hope, I hope, I hope this

Luke telling Tracy he'll always come back to her.

    is true. Aww. Yay.

TracyLuv: Your trip sounds amazing. What cruise line did you go on? I did that zipline thing once on this leadership training weekend. We had to jump off a high platform in a tree and zip upside down across this huge lake. It was such a rush.

    ~brownstonegirl

PS. I was watching the clips from Wednesday online . So it's the beginning of the episode where they recap the courtroom rape reveal with the closeups of all the key characters: Luke, Tracy, Scotty, Nikolas. It's kind of slow motiony right before Nikolas reveals the rape, and suddenly I start hearing SexyBack. And my first thought is "Guza! This time you've gone too far!" It turned out some ad with the song had loaded in one of my other windows, but for a moment I seriously believed that Guza had intended to set the courtroom scene to SexyBack. Ugh. With him at the helm it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility... I guess that's why they call them TIIC.

  13. Oh, Ms. Q! Thank you so much! If I weren't going to pass out from a 12 hour work day and stupid allergy testing, I'd watch all the clips right now in a row.

You rock! Have an amazing time in Mexico. It really is one of those incredible once in a lifetime opportunities, so enjoy it. It's going to be something that you'll always remember. Can't wait to hear all about your trip! Hope your teeth treat you well. ;)

    ¡Diviértete y buen viaje!

    xoxo,

    brownstonegirl

PS. Spoilers = um, amazing! Sounds like our girl might actually have a story!!! Maybe

Lulu will spring Tracy from Shadybrook. I do love their stepmom/stepdaugher bonding moments. Oooh, or maybe Lulu will spring Tracy with Ned's help.

  14. Finally home from work and so excited to watch today's show. Hooray for Tracy Tuesdays!

Week of June 11th from Got Info:

    I love the Q's:

The Quartermaines put their arguing aside and rally around Tracy when Scott accuses her of helping Luke kidnap Laura.

    What does this mean:

Tracy seals her own fate, thanks to Alan's haunting.

My theory on the ambiguous spoiler is maybe it's referring to our own speculation that

Tracy might end up in Shadybrook while JE/TG are on vacation.

. I hope not though, 'cause I'd like to see Jane sometime before October or whenever TG comes back from Amsterdam or wherever.

    ~brownstonegirl

  15. Too bad, Memorial Day doesn't fall on Tracy Tuesdays. Sigh. I was hoping to watch TQ live on GH. But Tracy looked amazing in the two second preview for tomorrow. :D

This weekend my husband and I were traveling to visit his family and I was late meeting up with him, so he was in a grumpy mood and as we were settling into our seats he was getting frustrated putting my bag in the overhead compartment. It wouldn't fit and wouldn't fit and he was struggling with it and struggling with it and I kept telling him it was fine and I would just stow it under my seat, but he persisted. Basically he was just being ridiculous about something that was silly and simple so I gave him a Tracylike "you can't argue with this logic" dressing down, I wish I could remember what I said, it had something to do with did it ever occur to him that I might want some of the work in my bag for the trip and it was my bag and my problem, so don't worry about it. Something in the inflection was very JE. LOL. Have any of you ever Tracy'd anyone?

    ~brownstonegirl

PS. Ms. Q: I loved your I Love You vid!!

  16. I.

    Hate.

    Paul.

    HORNSBY.

I couldn't have said it better myself! Paul was such a jerk. He really was a master manipulator. Thanks for posting the clips, Ms. Q!

Does anyone else remember GH using the Bonnie Raitt song "I Can't Make You Love Me" for Tracy and Paul? I have a really vague recollection of them using it for one of those multiple character "real time" musical montages at the end of the show. It kind of summed up their relationship pretty well.

    ~brownstonegirl

PS. knh: thanks for the nutritionist tips. Out of curiosity, what does your nutritionist recommend on the "fat" day? I'm presuming not french fries. :)

  17. Ms. Q: Thanks for the link to the clips!

nex: thanks for editing them together. :)

Hooray for finally catching up on GH! Sadly I was on a soaps and internet vacation in Ireland. The closest I got to any soaps was this really bad Australian faux GH serial that was on one morning as I was getting ready for the day. Overall I was pleased with the Metro Court scenes. Jane is so amazing. The scene was so honest. So good. It does feel like they cut some material. Was the end of the clip really it? JE has such an incredulous look that it seems like the scene should continue.

Ireland was amazing! Greener than you can imagine, lovely and relaxing. We got a really good deal on tickets. We had looked into doing one of those vacation package deals in March--Dan Dooley had some good ones for the early spring--but Mr. Brownstonegirl couldn't get the time off so we pushed the trip back to April which actually turned out well because it coincided with my birthday. :D

    ~brownstonegirl

PS. knh: congrats! I've been meaning to make an appointment with a nutritionist and you've convinced me that I should just go ahead and do it. I'm also in my healthy weight range (but slowly creeping toward the upper reaches of that range...) and with my crazy busy job, it's hard to find the time to eat right and take good care of myself. Did you find the program your nutritionist put you on to be manageable in terms of the time you need to put into it (the shopping, the food prep etc) and what you can and can't have? With the jet lag I've actually managed to get to the gym every morning this week. We'll see if that lasts once I can sleep past 6am. ;)

    PPS. Ms.Q: I love AMAZED!

  18. I just got back from vacation in Ireland and I can't believe how good today's show was. I thought my screen might implode with that many Qs in the room! And when Bobbie showed up, I was just blown away.

I still have to catch up on all of GH from last week, but it sounds like the Metro Court scenes didn't happen. :( We were supposed to leave for our trip on Thurs 4/19, but got bumped from our flight and rescheduled to fly the next night and I was so excited to watch GH live, anticipating the Metro Court scenes, but it was so disappointing. 1) there was no LuNacy loving and 2) Mr. Brownstonegirl (who's more opera than soap opera) returned from pre-trip errands in time to catch some of a truly blah episode of GH and make side comments. Bah. They better be planning something good for their wedding anniversary.

Can I just say that I loved JE's eye rolling/hair toss when Bobbie started in on the whole Luke being the love of Laura's life? Can I also say I miss when Bobbie couldn't stand Laura?

    ~brownstonegirl

  19. I finally got a chance to see yesterdays show this morning after downloading it from Hella Good. All I have to say is Thank God for the internet!!! When I got home last night I expected that General Hosiptal would be pre-empted for the first 10 min or so and since I had already seen the "missing" Tracy segment I thought I was in the clear. That is, until I realized that the beginning of the fourth segment the news broke and stayed on the air until the previews came on so I missed the rest of the show ;) I couldn't believe it!!! But have no fear, here is yesterdays show in it entirety:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J94G5XW8

Credit goes to Geena at Hella Good

After finally getting a chance to watch I have to say that while it was short I loved the conversation between Alan and Tracy, when he said that she had been waiting for Luke her entire life I thought awwwwww He is being more understanding of her in death that he probably ever was to her in life, at least when it came to her love life.

    MinervFan, I LOVED your fic.

I can't agree more. I just got to catch up on yesterday and Monday's shows and they were so, so good! JE and TG are amazing.

I LOVED Alan and Tracy in yesterday's episode. He was such a good big brother. It's funny that they get along better now that he's dead. I'll admit that as much as I love Stuart Damon--some of my first memories of GH are of him and Monica--the haunting thing was getting to be a bit much. But if the writers could get it together and write more scenes like today, I can't bare the thought of Alan leaving.

Hanky-Panky: Ok, so the writing wasn't the best on Monday, but JE/TG can make anything work. They really can. I'm on the fence with the are they or aren't they sleeping with each other though...

On the one hand, we know that Tracy really, really loves Luke and despite his unwillingness to let Laura go, Luke loves Tracy back. I could see them falling into bed with each other and hooking up while keeping their emotional distance, but after the hostage situation, Alan's death, the will forging, they've been getting closer and closer and now they've both let their guard down so much that they can't pretend that sex doesn't mean anything. And they can't pretend that their feelings aren't real. And that could explain the awkwardness--both want to be closer but are afraid of rocking the boat and putting their hearts on the line. Also, hasn't TG said that he and JE are playing it that Tracy and Luke are married in every sense? That said, it would be disappointing if we didn't get to see their first time together...

I guess time (and the writers) will eventually tell. I just want to see Tracy and Luke in more heartfelt scenes and when they have a love scene I want it to be honest and tender, not just for laughs.

Ahh, it's so late! I need to get to sleep. Good night everyone!

    ~brownstonegirl

PS. Thanks everyone for being so welcoming. :D

  20. Hi all,

I'm a newbie here and a huge LuNacy fan. I've watched GH on and off since I was a kid in the 80s and Tracy Q. has always been one of my favorite characters. I hadn't watched GH every day in a long time, but I happened to be home sick the day that Luke finally came back and told Tracy that their marriage wasn't going to end until she ended it...needless to say I was hooked all over again.... fortunately thanks to the wonders of YouTube, I've gotten to see a little bit of the LuNacy I missed. :)

So excited to find other Tracy fans!
