It has been widely reported that Trump went to a big donor private event yesterday in NJ, despite knowing Hope Hicks was positive and he had been exposed. Of course, the President and the big donors were not wearing masks and were not socially distanced. I wonder if any of those big donors want their money back ... These stories keep making Trump and his cronies look worse and worse.

Well once he is better he will consider COVID officially over.

I think he has it. I couldn’t understand why he didn’t get it sooner. The way he and his entourage traipse all over without masks...

And hydroxcyquoroquine (sp?) cured him.

I wonder how sick he will get. Age and obesity can be major factors in determining the outcome. I am worried about Joe.

Since Trump usually refuses to wear a mask and many of those around him have gotten the virus, I remain surprised that he has not gotten it yet. How much longer can his luck hold out?

Has anyone been called to participate in a political poll? I often see people saying they are never contacted and they wonder who participates. The reason I ask is because every election cycle, I get called numerous times. Today I got two calls within six hours for two polls that were almost exactly the same. This is at least the third poll I’ve participated in the last few days. I always participate because I never want to miss an opportunity to give Trump the worst possible marks. I have also gotten at least 3 different calls in the past week just asking if and how I was going to vote. Has anyone else been getting numerous calls or am I just one of the few remaining people who answers all calls on their landline?

Mac Davis, 78, has died after heart surgery. I remember watching him and Helen Reddy on musical specials in the 1970’s.

I also do not think they will change the number of Supreme Court justices even if they can. I think Biden would be very opposed to it (even RBG was against it). I personally believe that something should be done to make up for Merrick Garland but that is just wishful thinking. I also read that 4 out of 5 of the conservative justices were picked by Presidents who did not win the popular vote which is infuriating. If the Dems do win the Senate and I think they have a reasonable chance, I’ve seen discussions of adding Washington DC and Puerto Rico as states - which would give the Dems 4 more Senators. I’ve seen the most discussion on the nuclear option which makes me nervous but they should probably do it if they can. A victory would still mean a lot - not only would Trump be gone but so would Barr, DeVos, Kushner, DeJoy, Stephen Miller, etc etc - all of the evil incompetents.

GH: AMC FAVE Joins Cast
I would love to see her in scenes with MEK - I loved the brother / sister relationship with Tad and Jenny on AMC. I have seen speculation (wishful thinking?) on her being Elizabeth’s Mom or even Chase’s Mom (Anna wants Finn’s Dad at their wedding and Finn was opposed because it would mean inviting his wife).

I remember watching all The King Family Singing specials. I just re-watched a very old King Family Christmas Special on Amazon Prime in December.

Yes, I was 11 years old and still remember Mary being murdered in front of Tad when a thief broke into the Martin home (and it did traumatize me). Mary and Tad were two of my favorites. The actress (Susan Blanchard) married her on screen husband Jeff (Charles Frank) in 1977 and apparently are still married. Nice.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
New York State Governor Cuomo says no decision has been made yet but New York City disagrees and says they were right about initial social distancing before Cuomo agreed. Ridiculous that New York’s Governor and Mayor can’t get their acts together and work better without throwing out conflicting important information.

The confusion about the Missouri deaths may be that it was widely reported that all the Covid19 deaths in St. Louis were African Americans.

ALL: They Almost Became
Jennifer Aniston was on Jimmy Kimmel this month and told the story of how she found her first audition tape on Betamax. She was 13 years old and she auditioned for the part of TR, a 13 year old runaway on Search For Tomorrow, which her father starred on at the time. She said he would not have approved of her being on the show and that she lost the role to Jane Krakowski.

I just saw Trump is finally going to enact the DPA so GM will now make ventilators for the nation. That is the thing I was most worried about so I just hope they can ramp up quickly especially since the jerk wasted so much precious time.

I know the man is evil but now we know he is so vindictive that he would do that to a state that he won by an extremely narrow margin. His lack of self-awareness remains unsurpassed.

NJ Governor was asked about this a couple of hours ago. He alluded that the Federal Government could threaten to pull back the much needed aid - financial, supplies, personnel, etc. if they did not do as ordered. NJ has the second highest number of positive cases after NY.

I also read that they want Warren to stay in until the end so that her liberal supporters don’t switch their votes to Sanders.

Ohio just became the fifth state to ban abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected (which can be as early as five to six weeks - before a woman may even realize she is pregnant). Opponents in Ohio plan to sue.

What part of the country are you from? I found both poll results a bit surprising. However, my problem with the Zogby poll was that there was no back-up or detail about it (what was asked? who was asked? what were the exact percentages?) and also the explanation of why the numbers went down (high expectations and things are not moving fast enough) which makes little sense based on several previous polls where large percentages were willing to be patient and did not have high expectations that things would improve right away or even this year. I would like to know what questions were asked to draw that conclusion. Also, although it seems a lot longer, the President has only been in office 2 months and 3 days.

According to a just released CBS Poll (released Monday evening March 23), Obama's job performance approval ratings have gone up and his job performance disapproval ratings have gone down and approval of the way he is handling the economy has gone up 5%. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/03/23/...in4886328.shtml http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/24/o...e_n_178453.html
