I kept trying to figure out if Bob Cooper knew something about the warden and that's what "Mr. Strawberry" meant, but I guess it was just to show them that he was going to make them uneasy before his call. When they had the flashback I thought he was going to smash his head against his cell mirror and run for it - I'm glad they avoided that cliche.

I don't know who the band was in this episode (Trouble, apparently), but I thought the main guy on guitar was really hot.

My first feelings about that scene were that the camera froze somehow like that scene with Cooper in Fire Walk with Me.

  2. Any TP fan looking for a new show to watch until TP comes on in May, I enjoyed the pilot of FX's Legion. Dreamy yet Nightmarish look into the subconscious somewhat similar to Lynch. That's what it reminded me of when I watched it anyway.

I always thought they should've brought her and Pete(y) back on contract in the ABC days. They started working on shoring up the Cortlandts on PP, and I'd have loved to see her again.

IIRC, they brought back Bobby to flirt with Greenlee at one point, but it was dropped. There was also her other son, Mikey they could've brought back.

Trying to find an exact date or month

I want to say November, 1989. Barbara went into labor during her wedding to Tom, as Travis was trying to get there to stop the wedding. He had left town because of a brain tumor.

This seems like such a final goodbye for Cliff and Nina. Did the show plan to write them out but changed their mind?

They did leave the show. Nina came back by Spring for a few appearances, then full time by summer where Cliff was pronounced dead. That's is when she married Matt, then Cliff turned out to be alive in South America and PB returned to the show.

  5. soapfave06, here's the first part of the episode with the Janet/Natalie scenes

and Natalie was recast the summer of 1992. I don't know the exact dates, but the storyline was when Natalie ended up in a fire and woke up in bandages on her eyes as the recast.

AMC wasn't really the same show after the Will Cortlandt murder story, which I think is also around the same time McTavish took over as head writer.
