    -Caroline, Greta, and Nicole look in on a resting Eric. Nicole goes and sits by his bedside and then turns around to thank Greta for everything she’s done for him, especially given their dislike for each other in the past. Greta just hopes that he will learn from this and not do something this stupid again. He agrees and thanks his family for staying by him. Sami also steps in and thanks Greta as well. Shocked, they shake hands.

    Later on, while alone, Eric promises Nicole that everything will be just fine from now on. As she once again takes his hand, his eyes slowly slip into the back of his head. Blood runs from his nose and he starts shaking violently. The nurses rush in and then calls for Dr. Rowen. With Greta and Caroline looking on with a devestated Nicole, a Code Blue is now called and they all hope that this is not the end for hm.

    -Sami receives a phone call from Will, saying that he is coming home early. She decides to go home and cook him dinner and spend some time with him with Eric doing better. Austin & Lucas want to come along with her. She tells them that she can take care of herself. Alan won’t try anything so out in the open. The men look at each other, hoping that she is right about that and realize arguing won't do any good. She begins to leave, telling both men that she’ll return later, with Will in tow.

    Meanwhile, at Sami’s apartment building, Will walks past Alan coming from the direction of Sami’s apartment. Calling him “Ace”, he asks what he’s doing there. Alan doesn’t answer and now sees to be searching for an excuse to explain it all.


    Salem University Hospital

    Back at the hospital, Jack and Billie grab a bite to eat from the cafeteria and when they turn to leave, bump into Bill & Laura. Jack immediately becomes angry, lashing out at her for what happened to his child. Laura doesn’t even fight back. She stands there and excepts the full brunt of Jack’s wrath. Bill asks him to calm down but Jack will have none of it.

    Billie also gets in on the act, calling her a hypocrite for always criticizing her mother for everything and then acting just like her when she doesn’t get her way. Kate, who has overheard all of this, backs up her daughter enthusiastically. Jack turns and stares at Kate, saying that she really is the last one to pass judgement on anyone. Kate shuts up. Billie brings up her telling Chelsea a while ago to do whatever possible to get what she wants, no matter who it hurts. Now, who could that have came from?

    Kate is very quiet now and accepts some blame for what happened but still tries to push it off on Laura. Billie tells her that there is more than enough blame to go around but she is sick and tired of both of them playing selfish games with the people they say they love and then not accepting responsibility for their actions when things go haywire. Jack says Amen to that. But, he promises that it will change. From now on, neither woman will be allowed in his home, or near his child, and if he does see them close to her......he will take matters into his own hands. He turns back to Laura, announcing that Abby no longer has a grandmother and that Jennifer would be doing handstands in her grave right now. Bill comforts a devestated Laura. Kate asks Billie if she would ever cut her out of Chelsea's life. Billie says she would if Kate continues to encourage Chelsea's behavior and manipulation. Billie leaves to follow Jack as Kate gleefully watches a devestated Laura in Bill's arms.

    -Austin decides to go and see if Sami is ok, after viewing Alan earlier in the day. Lucas joins him, saying that they both need to keep an eye on him and protect Sami and Will while he’s in town.

    -At police headquarters, Abe has placed a call to an old friend of his. When Shane walks in and asks who he is talking to, Abe says he’s on hold. The phone is then answered by a secretary, who tells him that his friend is out but will return his call ASAP. Abe thanks her, and hangs up. Shane looks at him and asks will he fill him in now? Abe tells him he called Mac Scorpio of the PCPD. When he calls back, he’ll fill him in on any info he has on Stefano and his dealings and will give them a hand.

    Shane tells Abe they need to find him and quick. He’s dangerous when he’s in hiding. Abe snaps back, telling him he knows that and doesn’t have to keep repeating it over and over again. It gets quiet for a minute and Abe apologizes. Shane tells him it’s ok. He knows he is worried about Alexandra. Abe walks to the window and stares out, hoping she is ok. The screen then fades, once again, to............

    A secret location, somewhere in the States. Alexandra slowly awakens, to find her father seated next to her. She drifts in and out of consciousness and Stefano softly speaks to her, telling her that all is not lost. Just then, he receives a phone call on his private cell form a mysterious man, who informs him that everything is under control. He thanks him and warns him to stay out of sight. They bid each other farewell and hang up. Stefano is giddy at this point, saying that he’s sick of playing games. Time to begin to bring this play to a close. He smiles wickedly at that last statement.

    -Sami gets off of the elevator to her floor. As she is walking around the corner, she also runs into Alan, who grabs her by the arm and tells her that they have to go right now. Sami tries to shake loose, demanding that he get his hands off her this instant. Alan yells that they don’t have much time and when Sami asks what is he talking about, she yanks free at that very moment. She turns around in slow motion, facing her front door, and then, quick shots go all through her apartment, settling in on the stove, which has a bomb wired to it! Right before she opens the door.............

    A massive explosion pierces every inch of the dwelling, and when things settle for just a moment, Sami & Alan are lying unconscious on the floor near her apartment, as everything around them is on fire. The screen slowly fades to black, with them trapped in the middle of this destruction.

    Next Time, On Salem Lives............

    Nicole to Caroline: I can't lose him. I can't lose Eric.
    Greta: I am not just going to stand by and watch Eric die. I have to do something.
    Bill to Laura: It's all going to be ok.
    Laura to Bill: I wish I never left that institution.
    Billie to Jack: Maybe they all were on to something...maybe you and I can be more then friends?
    Austin to Lucas: Oh my God...Sami!!!

    ***This is a long episode due to it being a huge cliffhanger show and all dialogue at the end. There is a link to a Snow Patrol song so click on the link when you find it towards the end of the episode and then just listen to the song during the final scenes (don't watch the video unless you want to after reading our episode ).***



    -The episode begins with Caroline, Sami, Austin, Lucas, Will, Celeste, Doug, Julie, Laura, and Bill racing into the ER to meet Greta. Bill and Laura ask for info on Eric's condition. Greta says he is critical and it's not good, which is expected. Cal shows up and says he had to come. Eric is still like a son to him. Sami asks what Greta meant by "which is expected." Greta says that it is time they all knew the truth...

    -Nicole is on her plane, waiting to take off. There is a backup on the runway so there will be a wait. She looks at a picture of Eric and herself and wonders what went wrong.

    -Max, Frankie, Cassie, and Kate are in Max's car. They are headed for the bridge as they checked out all of the girls' usual hang out spots. Max just hopes nothing bad has happened as he knows what was going on there earlier with the drugs, alcohol, etc.

    -Abby and Chelsea push Seth and Paul off of them but they don't give up. Paul is starting to take Chelsea's blouse off while Seth is running his hands up Abby's back. Both girls say no but the men don't heed their words. Finally, Abby kicks Seth in the groin and Chelsea pushes Paul off her. Both girls make a run for it. The rest of the partygoers wake are shocked that girls would say no to Seth and Paul, who are angry and give chase.

    -In Sydney, gunshots are still being fired with bodies all over. Bo helps Hope Up and they look for cover. Jack, Billie, and Maggie find cover as well. Steve and Kayla get up, as does Roman. Kayla sees Shane on the ground and realizes he has been shot. She races over to him. Steve sees gunshots being fired in Kayla's direction and dives on top of her to protect her. He helps her up and asks if she is ok. She says she is fine and goes to tend to Shane, even though it is clear that she is bleeding from her right side.

    -Abe sees Stefano and Lexie and tries to get over to them but he is hit by a bullet. Lexie screams "No!!!" as Stefano grins. Stefano tries to drag her off as she beats on his chest, asking why he is doing all this. He says it's revenge and that someday she will understand and embrace it. One of Victor's men then takes aim and Lexie takes a bullet. Stefano holds her and assures her it will all be ok. Abe sees Lexie get hit and whispers her name softly.

    -Back in Salem, Sami demands the truth from Greta now. Greta explains that Eric is dying of a brain tumor and he doesn't have long to live. That was his secret all these months. Bill and Laura go talk to Eric's doctor as Caroline and Sami comfort each other and are comforted by their friends and family there with them. Greta apologizes but no one is even paying attention to her. She is happy the truth is out. She then remembers Nicole and that she doesn't know. She realizes there is something she has to do and leaves. Meanwhile, the mysterious cloaked figure watches from afar and seems pleased with the unhappiness of those at the hospital.


    Salem Bridge

    -Back at the bridge, Abby and Chelsea race to her car but Seth catches up and knocks the keys out of her hand. Paul grabs hold of Chelsea and Seth grabs Abby and, with the party crowd surrounding them, both girls are dragged off. Seth tells Abby and Chelsea that no one can find out what they do at the bridge when they hang out so they must be kept silent. Plus, they didn't give them what they wanted. Chelsea has a flashback to her rapes and begs for her life.

    -Back in Sydney, Kayla tends to a badly injured Shane. She conceals her injury too, which appears to be a gunshot wound. She seems woozy and Steve asks if she is alright. She nods. Jack and Billie race over and ask what happened. Kayla says Shane needs medical attention. Roman comes over and says Abe has been shot. Kayla races to tend to him, ducking bullets, as the shootout continues.

    -Maggie, Bo, and Hope are near Abe when Kayla arrives. Abe is only worried about Lexie and her being shot. Hope tells him to relax. Victor comes over and says there is a helicopter nearby that can get them out of here and get the injured tended to. Jack and Billie agree to take Shane and Abe to the helicopter. Abe wants to find Lexie since he can walk but Roman forces him to go with Jack and Billie. Meanwhile, Victor sneaks off to go after Stefano and Maggie follows. Bo goes to look for Victor after Jack and Billie leave with Shane and Abe and Hope follows him. Roman goes off on his own too, in hopes of getting to Stefano.

    -Back in Salem, Seth and Paul find Chelsea's car and decide on the perfect way to make sure the girls stay quiet and get punished for leaving them unsatisfied. They force Abby and Chelsea into the car, along with a few of their other friends. Seth takes the wheel with Paul next to him and they speed off, as the rest of the crazy partygoers left in the dust cheer.

    -Back in Sydney, Kayla continues to tend to the wounded including Dimera henchmen. She claims she took a oath to save all lives. She is in a lot of pain and trying to hide it, only now the blood is dripping down her leg. Steve warns the shootout isn't letting up as the men on both sides keep reloading. They need to take cover. Kayla realizes most of the men are dead already and they need to think about Stephanie. Steve grabs her and they take off for cover.

    -Victor is forced to take cover and is angry when he sees Maggie, Bo, and Hope followed him. The gunshots aren't letting up and bullets are everywhere. Victor is determined to reach Stefano and decides to take a risk. He runs off, much to Bo's dismay and Maggie's. Maggie then races after him and, when Bo tries to go after them, a spray of bullets comes his way and Hope and him duck for cover. Meanwhile, Roman is fighting off some Dimera men in hopes of getting to Stefano as well.

    Ending Segment

    -At the hospital, Austin rejoins Lucas and Cal as Doug, Julie, Bill, and Laura are seen talking nearby.

    Austin: Sami in there with Caroline?
    Lucas: Yeah...I don't know man. I don't know how much the Brady's can deal with. I don't know how much Sami can deal with.
    Cal: I still think of him as a son. I can't lose him.
    Austin: We just have to hope that it isn't as bad as it seems.

    Celeste overhears and says to herself:

    Celeste: Sorry, Austin. It is bad and it is only the beginning. The horror and tragedy has already begun and I just pray our loved ones in Sydney and in Salem can handle what is coming...

    Scene shifts to Eric lying in a bed, with cords and machines around him. Sami and Caroline enter, holding each other in tears. Sami slowly walks ahead of Caroline and looks down at Eric, takes his hand, and says:

    Sami: Don't do this to me. I have lost so much. We all have. We lost mom. I am finally starting to get myself together. I need you here...your the other part of me...please. Not now...not like this. Please...

    Caroline holds her close and comforts her.

    -Nicole is sitting on her plane to LA when there is an announcement:

    Pilot: Attention passengers...we were ordered to delay take off due to an emergency concerning one of our passengers. We hope you under and apologize for the inconvenience. We will prepare for takeoff as soon as the passenger's situation is taken care of.
    Nicole: What is going on? No one looks sick or anything. (turns behind her and then turns back around and is shocked by what she sees) What the hell?

    Greta walks right down the aisle and up to Nicole.

    Greta: Part of the perks of being a princess. I am glad I made it before it was...
    Nicole: What are you doing?
    Greta: Stopping you from making a big mistake. There is something you have to know...about Eric.

    -Max, Frankie, Kate, and Cassie are coming up on the Salem Bridge.

    Cassie: I don't see anyone.
    Frankie: I don't either...what the...? Oh my...

    Right ahead of Max on the bridge is an oncoming car, speeding out of control. It's Chelsea's with Seth and Paul in the front seats and Chelsea and Abby sqeezed in the back with 3 other partygoers.

    Seth: You girls should've listened...
    Paul: Damn straight!!
    Chelsea: Oh God...Oh God...
    Abby: I told you this would...Oh my..watch out!!!!

    Scene shifts to Max's car.

    Cassie: Max!!
    Kate: Max!!! Look out!!

    Max swerves his car out of the way and to the left just as Chelsea grabs hold of the wheel from Seth in the other car, causing the car to swerve out of control as everyone in it screams.

    Seth: [!@#$%^&*]!! What are you do...AAAAAAA

    Max's car collides with a guardrail on the left side of the bridge while Chelsea's car flies through the guardrail and off the right side of the bridge, right into the chilling waters below.

    "Open Your Eyes" by Snow Patrol begins to play in the background as we see the scene shift from Chelsea's car floating in the river to the shootout in Sydney... **Here is the link to the song-go to it and just listen to the song during these final scenes as they really enhance the scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jSfTwZZmXU **

    -Roman is forced to take cover while looking to find Stefano as bullets are still flying.

    Roman: I am not leaving here until I know this is over, once and for all, Dimera. I will end this or die trying!!

    -Bo and Hope are behind a metal structure, taking cover as bullets are flying around them.

    Hope: How are we all going to get out of this, Brady? The gunshots haven't ended since this chaos started.
    Bo: I don't know. I just hope the others are safe and that we all make it out of here.
    Hope: Your wondering where Victor is, aren't you?
    Bo: Yeah...and Maggie and everyone else. I just want all of this over and for all of us to be safe.
    Hope: Same here but how are we making it out of this?
    Bo: I have no clue...

    -Billie helps Abe to the helicopter as Jack carries a bleeding Shane and lays him in the helicopter.

    Billie: I hope the others are ok.
    Abe: You should still be there...Lexie and the others need...
    Billie: Your hurt and you could get yourself killed out there.

    Billie then goes to help Jack with Shane and then looks at Jack with a look of panic on her face;

    Billie: Oh my God...
    Jack: What?
    Billie: Shane has no pulse. Help me do CPR, Jack.
    Abe: Oh God...

    -Stefano puts a wounded Lexie on his helicopter and caresses her forehead. The pilot signals that everything is set and Stefano is about get on board.

    Stefano: It's all going to be fine, Alexandra.
    Victor: Not for you it isn't!!!

    Victor appears, pointing his gun right at Stefano. Maggie comes up behind him.

    Victor: Why did you come?
    Maggie: I...
    Victor: Nevermind. Ok, Dimera. As I said earlier, it ends here. Tonight. Your day of reckoning has arrived.

    -Steve and Kayla are dodging bullets and look confused as to where they are as they search for cover. Kayla is clearly in pain but continues to cover it. Steve sees a steel door nearby that is slightly open.

    Steve: Right there...we should be ok in there until all this hoopla subsides.
    Kayla: It's more then hoopla but, yeah, I see what you are looking at. We can stay there until it's over. Hopefully, the others are safe too.
    Steve: Ok...the gunshots stopped. Let's get to that door!!
    Kayla: Right behind you!!

    Steve and Kayla race to the steel door and notice a key in the lock. Steve walks in first:

    Steve: Grab the key so we don't get locked in.
    Kayla: Alright...argh!!
    Steve (turning towards Kayla): Kayla?

    As Kayla is about to enter, she doubles over in pain, She is holding on to the door and leans on it. Her weight is pushing the door forward. She then removes her hand from her side and sees it covered in blood and then sees blood coming down her leg. She is woozy and falls forward against the door, shutting it and locking Steve in. Steve sees the door close and races over. He sees Kayla leaning on the door through a small window on the door:

    Steve: Kayla!!?? What's wrong? Open the door!!
    Kayla (softly): Ste...

    Kayla's eyes roll back and she collapses alongside the door, leaving her body blocking the door. Steve looks down and sees Kayla lying in a pool of blood, unconscious and not moving.

    Steve: Kayla!!! Damn door is locked!! (banging on the door and desperately trying to open it)Kayla!! Kayla!!!! Kayla!!!! Kayla!!!

    The episode fades out as the camera shows Kayla lying in a pool of blood overhead.

    ***BE SURE TO CLICK ON THE LINK TO THE CHICAGO SONG "IF YOU LEAVE ME NOW" WHEN YOU SEEN THE LINK THAT IS TITLED AS SUCH. IT REALLY ENHANCES THE SCENES THAT IS PLAYS THROUGH. JUST MAKE SURE YOU STOP PLAYING IT DURING THE WILL/ALAN SCENE AS IT DOESN'T FIT WELL THERE OR WITH THE SCENES AFTER THAT.***

    - At the ball, Steve and Kayla spot Jack and Billie walking through the elevator doors. They have just arrived at the party after seeing Chelsea and Abby at the hospital. Jack and Steve nod their heads at each other and Billie gets ready to walk over to speak to her mother, when she overhears the conversation going on around the corner.

    Billie taps Jack on his arm and tells him to come with her for a moment. Jack excuses himself from several guests and follows Billie, who leads him around the corner. When they reach their destination, Billie informs Jack that Victor and Stefano have a showdown planned for tonight at the party. The SPD has everything monitored. Jack is shocked, wondering why would they risk doing that in such a public place with Salem’s whose who there. She doesn’t know but is glad she came prepared.

    When Jack asks her what that means, she opens her small purse to reveal a handgun stuffed down at the bottom. Jack is stunned, asking her why she picked tonight to do her Foxy Brown impersonation. She tells him to stop making jokes, this is serious, to which he replies no s**t. When Jack asks what do they do next, Billie advises him to start letting people know quietly what is happening. He says great idea. Time for him to become.........Austin Devereaux, Salem Man Of Mystery. He saunters off, while Billie watches and chuckles.

    -Belle sees Jack walk across the ballroom but when she starts to go over to speak with him, Sami stops her cold as Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now" plays. She asks her:

    Sami: What is Mom’s problem? I just tried to tell her what is going down tonight with Dad and she said that he’s a big boy and that he can take care of himself.
    Belle: What?
    Sami: Yeah. Then she said that she has more on her mind than watching a bunch of grown men play cowboys and indians.
    Belle: She hasn’t been the same since she’s gotten back home. Dad said she was acting all funny last night. He doesn’t know what to do but he has had this blood feud on his mind so much, he’s caught between a rock and a hard place.
    Sami: Well, we better just keep an eye on her so she doesn’t flip out or do something rash.

    At that moment, Marlena walks up from behind them and surprises them both. They turn around quickly to hear her say to them:

    Marlena: So........you two think I’m nuts, huh?
    Sami: Mom.....no, we didn’t mean it that way.......
    Belle: Yeah. We were just saying..........
    Marlena: Well, let me tell you two something. You try being married to a man whose had two different faces and six different past lives and see how sane you would be, ok.

    Marlena looks at them with a steely gaze and walks up on both of them, saying:

    Marlena: Now you two little brats leave me the hell alone before I get really nasty. Got that?!

    Marlena storms off, leaving both girls frightened and bewildered.

    -Austin and Lucas walk up to Sami and Belle, having witnessed the scene with Marlena. Lucas wants to know if she is alright to which Sami says yes, she’s fine. It’s just all that she’s been through has gotten her on edge. Belle concurs, saying that it’s nothing to worry about. She’ll be fine. Austin says he hopes so. Sami looks at both men and wonders why they are so worried about their mother when they plan on having a shootout later on this evening.

    Austin says that everything will be fine but that he is not backing away from this. Lucas agrees, saying that he told Sami where he stood yesterday. Nothing’s changed and Lucas wishes Sami would just accept that and stop with the constant badgering. He walks off and Sami follows him, grabbing him by the arm and turning him around. She is very angry and lashes out at him, saying:

    Sami: How dare you? How dare you get upset with me for worrying about you?
    Lucas: We have been over this time and time again, Sami. I’m not repeating myself, ok?
    Sami: So that’s it, huh? You now feel you owe me nothing, huh?

    Lucas turns away, long enough to see Hope looking at both of them. Sami grabs him by the arm and snatches him back around, until he is once again facing her. She looks at him, staring into his eyes, and says softly:

    Sami: Do you even realize what you mean to me? Huh? You are......my life. My soul. The greatest thing you gave me was our son. He has you for a father and I want him to continue growing up admiring you and loving you, not visiting your grave.
    Lucas: Do you think I want that? (Looking at Hope) With all the screw-ups and foul things I’ve done, this is the one thing I can do to protect my family and prove to you that I can take care of you and protect you. (Turning back towards Sami) I have to be man enough to face this thing, so that we all can be safe. Hope told you what is going to happen here and I can’t just walk away.
    Sami: Yes you can. You’re man enough to let the police and my dad handle it. Be man enough to come home with me right now. Please.
    Lucas: No, Sami. I can’t do that.
    Sami: (Crying) Why not?! Why can’t you just walk away Lucas?!
    Lucas: BECAUSE I LOVE YOU TOO DAMN MUCH TO WATCH YOU DIE!!!

    Sami looks at Lucas with a shocked look on her face.

    Lucas: There is no way Stefano DiMera or anyone from that wretched family is going to harm you, ok? You are the most precious thing in this whole world to me. You were when you were engaged to Austin and when you were with Franco and when you had our son. And.......I just can’t see the point of waking up every morning.........in a empty bed.........knowing that the most wonderful, kind, beautiful lady that I have ever known is gone because I wasn’t man enough to save her. So please......love me enough to leave here right now and not come back. Please Sami. I’m begging you.

    Lucas leans in and kisses Sami gently and then hugs her tightly. She returns this embrace, as he whispers in her ear:

    Lucas: If something happens to me..........I just want to say one thing.
    Sami: (Looking at Lucas, crying) What is that?
    Lucas: Thank you.............for everything.

    He walks off with Austin, leaving Sami to be comforted by Hope and Belle.

    -At the pier, Alan walks up behind Will, who is out late on this evening. He surprises him to which Will says that isn’t very funny but he starts laughing. Alan notices that through the laughter, Will is upset. When he asks why, Will responds, saying that he’s sick and tired of living a lie. Alan is shocked, asking what the hell does that mean. Will says that his parents keep pushing him to get married, have a family, and live the American dream.

    But all he wants is to be himself. He wanted to join the basketball team for the sport of it and to belong. With a mother who has spent his entire life ruining people’s lives and a father who basically let her, he just wants peace in his world. Then, every time he turned around, his Uncle Austin was parading around in nothing but a towel. How was he supposed to deal with that? Alan listens on intently. He just wants to be left alone, to be who he is. Alan asks him what is he talking about. Will turns to him and tells him something that he never knew for sure but always suspected. Will says to Alan that no one can ever know...........

    That he’s gay.

    Alan looks at Will, shocked. Will stares out into the open night.

    -Back at the party, Steve and Kayla mingle about but Kayla notices that Steve has not been looking well all day. When she asks what’s wrong, he tells her that he keeps getting these headaches from out of nowhere. She walks him to a corner of the ballroom and takes out her stethoscope and checks him out:

    Kayla: Well, your eyes look fine. Where is it hurting you, Steve? All over?
    Steve: Yeah, Sweetness. It hurts all over. I bet you have the healing prescription, don’t you baby?
    Kayla: Stop joking around, Steve. There might be a serious problem.
    Steve: I’m fine, Sweetness. Don’t worry........about..........

    Just then, Steve suddenly slumps forward and almost faints. Kayla catches him and Bo races over to help her. They both pick him up and walk him to one of the back rooms so that he can rest.

    -It is now 11:30 pm and Celeste sees Hope, Billie, Samantha, Belle, Kayla, Maggie & Jack all huddled together. Stefano spots her walking towards the group and tells one of his top men:

    Stefano: Get everyone in place. We don’t have much time, yes?
    MCF: Understood, sir.

    While the Mysterious Cloaked Figure walks off to get all of Stefano’s men in place, Celeste walks up to the group, telling them that she senses something tragic is about to happen and that they don’t have much time to get everyone out. Kayla turns around briefly, long enough to see Steve walking over to them. She ask if he’s fine, to which he replies, yes. Jack wonders where Celeste is getting this from and she says has she been wrong yet? They all grow silent.

    Victor sees the MCF rush off and tells his associate:

    Victor: It’s time. Get everyone in place and tell them to be ready. I’m going to wipe Stefano DiMera out even if I have to destroy Salem to do it!

    Victor’s associate walks defiantly across the room and takes out his gun. Jack sees this and he, along with Steve, try to run the man down but he escapes into an elevator going to the upper floor, where Bo is at present. Jack and Steve rush back to the group and tell them to get as many people out of here as possible.

    11:39pm.

    Victor has disappeared. He is standing behind a thin wall, loading up his gun. Maggie has searched for him and found him, begging him to call this whole thing off. He demands that she leaves now or he won’t be responsible for her fate. She looks at him, shockingly, and runs off.

    11:45pm.

    Sami finds Roman, who has just loaded his weapon, and pleads with him:

    Sami: Daddy, please don’t do this. There are too many people who love you.
    Roman: I know that, sweety. That’s why I’m doing this. DiMera’s stranglehold on our families and this city must end....tonight. And if it costs me my life.........
    Sami: No! Don’t you say that to me! (Wiping tears from her eyes) I just found you again. WE just found you again. Don’t you stand there and tell me that your life means nothing to you because it means everything to me!
    Roman: (Quietly speaking) I know that. (Putting his hand on her cheek) You’re my angel. You know that. And.....you have your mother’s strength. So, you promise me this. If I should not live to see tomorrow .........
    Sami:(Crying heavily) No. Don’t say that.............
    Roman: Then you look out for your mother and sisters and brothers, ok sweety?
    Sami: (Pausing) O.......Ok. I’ll do it.

    Sami jumps into her father’s arms and Roman hugs her, warmly. It is a hug that is very deep and special, for they know.......

    That this may be the last time they see each other.

    Sami looks at Roman and they both smile at each other. She then wipes her face and runs off. Roman watches his little girl leave him for what may be the very last time. He then turns his attention back to the men in the ballroom and readies his weapon.

    -Doug and Julie see what is now happening and both go and get Kimberly and Alice and head towards the elevators. Once the door opens they get on and Kimberly looks back to see Shane loading his weapon. Their eyes lock for a brief, singular, moment and all of the memories come rushing back. The door then starts to slowly close as both Kimberly and Shane wave good-bye to each other.

    11:59pm.

    Then, suddenly, men start emerging from everywhere. Stefano’s men. Victor’s men. The partygoers that are left are almost surrounded. Victor orders his men into position and Stefano does the same. Roman, Abe & Shane pull their weapons and aim.

    10...............

    In slow motion, all of the following events take place..............

    Austin sees Kate standing by herself and tries to run over to her. At the last moment, a lady takes off her mask and Austin is shocked to see that it’s.............Carrie!

    9.................

    Hope, Maggie, and Belle try to drag Sami towards an elevator. But, she bumps into Marlena, who has just walked back into the ballroom, brandishing a gun!

    8..................

    Philip sees Belle and turns, suddenly, pulling out a gun and aiming it at one of Stefano’s henchmen. She watches on horrified.

    7..................

    Victor, Nico and Bo pull out their weapons and take aim, as Hope loses her grip on Sami as she breaks free before the elevator door closes.

    6.......................

    The MCF sees Sami running towards Lucas and takes aim at her! Lucas pulls his gun and run towards Sami.

    5.......................

    Steve spots one of Victor’s henchmen and knocks him out from behind. He then grabs his gun and runs next to Bo and then suddenly has another seizing pain in his head and stumbles into the line of fire, just as Billie pulls her gun out of her purse and takes aim at the MCF........

    Roman sees Marlena with a gun and he also sees her take aim............at him!

    3.........................

    Bo jumps down from the upper floor of the ballroom and sees Marlena aim at Roman. Just then, Belle hits Marlena on the back of her head and she collapses. Roman looks at Bo, who is now aiming the gun at the masked figure, not knowing it’s Stefano.

    2.......................

    At the very last moment, Victor shouts in Bo’s direction “NOW!!!” and Bo turns and re-aims his gun............at his brother Roman! At the same time, Lucas steps on a chair and leaps towards Sami.............


    1........................

    The clock strikes Midnight and, at the same time, Stefano yanks off his mask. Stefano, Victor, and Roman give the orders to..........

    Stefano: OPEN...........
    Victor: FIRE...........
    Roman: NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There is a three-way frozen split screen on all three men’s faces, as gunshots ring out into the New Year night. The screen suddenly goes black, as Celeste lets out a blood-curdling scream!!

    TUNE IN NEXT YEAR BEGINNING TUESDAY............FOR THE SHOCKING CONTINUATION OF SALEM LIVES!!!

    As James places his hand on the MCF’s cloak, someone in the room points a gun at his head, saying cryptically....

    Marlena: I wouldn’t do that if I were you, partner.

    James, without even looking at Marlena, slowly removes his hand from the MCF and lowers his gun as well. He then takes a few steps back and wipes his face, looking at Marlena with contempt. Everyone else looks at Marlena as well, with Stefano remarking....

    Stefano: My, my, my, Roman, she is even a better Pawn for this person than you were for me.
    Roman: (Turning to face Stefano) Old man........you better keep that smart crap to yourself. The face is different but the hatred remains the same.
    Stefano: More lowly threats from a lowly man. Acting the high and mighty cop, while your WIFE is holding a gun on all of us!!
    Roman: My wife is my problem, old man! Remember that!
    Stefano: How can I or any of us forget it?! This.......psychotic woman is holding us at gunpoint with a man who loves walking around wearing a smelly CLOAK, for God’s Sakes!!

    The MCF speaks up, saying........

    MCF (via voice changer): ENOUGH!!! I’m sick of all of you, quite frankly. And, I’m sick of these games. Walking around like this bores me.

    The MCF, having manipulated the circumstances in his/her favor, walks away from the group, pausing briefly to look over at Cal, Katherine and Ernesto. Cal looks at the MCF with hatred then looks back down at Ernesto, who tugs at his shirt and quietly says to him.....

    Ernesto: I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. Really.....I didn’t.
    Cal: Well, I would think you would have learned something from what you did last year.
    Ernesto: Apparently not, Cal. (Coughing) Didn’t learn a damn thing I guess.

    Victor walks over to the three people and bends down next to Ernesto. In a surprising but very touching gesture, he takes Ernesto’s hand. He then tells him..........

    Victor: Well, my old friend. Didn’t turn out like you wanted, did it?
    Ernesto: No. I guess not.

    Both men chuckle at the thought of where everyone is and how this entire situation turned out. The MCF looks on as Ernesto grips Victor’s hand and tells him.......

    Ernesto: Thank you. For being a father........to Isabella.......before she died.
    Victor: (Pausing) The greatest time of my life, my friend. Amazing, isn’t it? We all were......young men together. You, me, Stefano.......we achieved wealth and power but why do we always learn the most important lessons when it’s too late?
    Ernesto: (Having trouble breathing) I don’t know, Victor. I have not one clue.

    Stefano walks over and looks down at Ernesto, smiling slightly. Both Katherine and Cal look at Stefano as he then leans over.....and gently kisses Ernesto on his forehead, before taking his other hand and shaking it gently. He then pats Ernesto on his chest and walks back over to the group. Victor then tells Ernesto........

    Victor: Well, if this is it, and you see Isabella.......tell her......that I said hello.
    Ernesto: I will.......old friend.

    Victor then looks at Cal and Katherine and then silently stands up, looks at Ernesto once more, and walks back over to the group. The MCF then responds, saying.......

    MCF: How touching.

    The guests stand and look at the MCF, who then says that one of his or her guests are missing. When everyone looks around, Lucas says that he doesn’t see Will. Sami and everyone else look around the ballroom but there is no sign of him or Alan, for that matter, as Eric says. Doug, Julie and everyone else look at the MCF and Bo pipes in, demanding to know what has happened to Will. The MCF tells him that Alan has taken Will to another secure location. What is about to happen is not for a young man that age.

    But, the MCF assures, he is safe. Sami takes a step towards the MCF and the MCF holds her at bay, telling her.....

    MCF: The mother lioness trying to protect her damaged cub. Sickening if you ask me.
    Lucas: Who asked you, you psychotic bastard?!
    MCF: Watch your mouth, boy!! Don’t ever think that you are man enough to deal with me, ok?
    Victor: Then, if he isn’t, maybe I and my men are.

    Just then, Nico bursts into the ballroom along with several armed men. Stefano smiles at his old friend as Victor turns to look at Stefano and then turns back to look at the MCF. One of the men walks over to the MCF and yanks his helmet off, revealing the face....

    Of Steven Johnson, who tells the MCF......

    Steve: Whose got the drop this time, !@#$%^&*]?

    Steve then turns and walks towards Victor, shaking his hand and thanking him for including him in this thing. Victor, having been joined by Stefano, Roman and Bo, tells Steve that it was his duty to see that not one other person was harmed by this person. He knows that he kept his word.....and that his dear Isabella just might be proud of him right now. Bo seems to think so, slapping Victor on his back while flashing a huge smile on his face. Roman walks over to the MCF and demands that the person release everyone on the ship, to which the MCF replies.....

    MCF: Dear, dear Roman. Do you honestly think it would be that easy? OF COURSE NOT!!!!!

    The MCF slowly reaches into their inside jacket and pulls out a device. A timing device. The MCF then tells the guests that.....

    MCF: Now, did you honestly think that any of you would get off this ship alive?! How could you sell a person short who got a cruise ship into the middle of Illinois?!

    The group reflect on that for a moment before Frankie maneuvers his way past some of the guests, trying to get closer to Marlena. The MCF’s attention is on the men standing in front of him or her as Billie and Eric see what Frankie is doing and slowly walk in front of him, shielding him from the MCF while he gets closer and closer to Marlena, who is still holding her gun towards Roman. Forrest looks on in silence, thinking to himself that maybe it would have been best to stay where he was at instead of getting mixed up with the MCF.

    At that very moment, Frankie springs up and grabs for the gun that Marlena is holding. Tony launches himself at the MCF but is grabbed by a man from behind. The guests then realize that other than Steve and Nico, the other men that he came in with work for one person...........the MCF! Frankie was successful in getting the gun away from Marlena and a huge fight now ensues with Cal jumping off of the stage onto a guard while Bo takes two huge steps and tackles another guard.

    Roman elbows the guard standing behind him in the gut while Eric takes a swing at another guard. Julie, Maggie, Caroline, Hope, Belle, Carrie, Sami, Kate, Greta, Lexie, Celeste, Cassie, Anna, Abby, Chelsea, and Kayla all back into a corner and watch this free for all as Roman, Bo, Austin, Lucas, Jack, Max, Shane, Abe, Philip, Steve, Eric, Frankie, Victor, James, Lucas, Tony, Stefano and Nico do hand-to-hand battle with the MCF’s henchmen. One of the guards is knocked towards the group of women standing in the corner and Doug gets ready to join in the fight but both Hope and Julie grab him and stop him. Doug looks at Julie and yanks his arm away from her, while Hope stares hatred at Julie for what she did. They then turn their attention back towards the brawl taking place.......

    As Kayla sees Stefano reach inside his jacket pocket, the fight continues as Roman kicks one guard in the gut while swinging a roundhouse right cross at another, connecting with his jaw and sending him flying. Bo slams another guard into the wall and then looks over to see Roman in trouble. He runs over and tackles another guard who was just about to hit Roman over the back of his head. Roman turns and faces the guard as Bo stands up. Now the brothers are instinctively standing side by side as Bo grabs the guard and holds him while Roman knocks him clean out with another right hook. As the guard falls to the ballroom floor, the brothers look at each other and then turn to rejoin the battle.

    Lucas punches a guard out while Eric and Steve fight with two other guards. Victor smashes a vase over a guard’s head as Stefano punches another guard and pulls the device out of his jacket. He screams into it........

    Stefano: NOW!!!!

    And at that very moment, men on the second floor above them reach over the balcony and point guns at everyone in the room. Shots ring out overhead as the fight dramatically stops and everyone in the huge ballroom look upward to see men in black battle gear and helmets holding everyone at bay. Victor catches his breath and walks over to Stefano and then they both shake hands. That is when everyone realizes that this latest turn of events was secretly planned by Victor and Stefano, who look at the group with huge smiles on their faces.

    But the MCF, who was not involved in the massive brawl, then pipes in once again. The person steps forward and tells the group with contempt.....

    MCF: You two old men really think that you have fooled me, right?! This is MY ship.....this is MY game.....and I call the SHOTS here, GOT IT?!?!

    The MCF then looks skyward and orders the men to take off their helmets. When they do...Stefano, Victor, Roman, Bo, Steve and the rest see that these are NOT Victor and Stefano’s men. The mood then turns grave when they all realize that the MCF has pulled his/her last greatest trick and now there is nowhere for any of them to escape to. The MCF steps forward and tells the guests.....

    MCF: All of the men that you hired are in the cargo hold right now, having been made unconscious by the sleeping gas that I released down there. (Looking at Victor and Stefano) I run this, got that?! (Looking at Roman) And now, that all of this BS is now out of the way, I think it’s time to show you all who has manipulated your petty lives for the last year.

    The MCF walks forward and stands near Roman. The MCF then removes his or her gloves. Bo, Hope, Kayla and the rest of the group are shocked by what is happening. The MCF speaks, saying.....

    MCF: I hope your medical insurance is paid up because, my dear old friend, you’re going to need it in a few moments.

    The MCF throws his or her gloves on the ballroom floor and then reaches up, grabs the front of the cloak, and rips it open. The MCF then takes one more step towards Roman and looks at him face to face. The MCF then reaches up, takes the hood of their cloak and slowly pulls it down, finally revealing who has been tormenting, blackmailing, and murdering the people of Salem for the past year.

    MCF: Well, Roman THE IDENTITY OF THE MCF REVEALED!!!........aren’t you going to welcome back.......

    YOUR OLD FRIEND?!?!

    Roman, Bo, Steve, Kayla, Hope, and the rest of the guests are stunned by who the MCF is as Marlena laughs wickedly. Victor and Stefano look on in absolute shock, Steve stares hatred at this person, Cal looks down at a now unconscious Ernesto and back at the MCF as the scene goes from one shocked face to another and stops on the face of the MCF, who stares hatred at Roman........

    And then the screen slowly fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    THE MCF HAS BEEN REVEALED BUT THE DRAMA IS JUST BEGINNING. THE VOYAGE OF VENGEANCE BEGINS MONDAY!!!

    DAYS RED HOT SUMMER PREVIEW



    "The summer is going to be amazing," says Executive Producer Ned Yadroc. "We held our previews until now because we wanted to shock the audience and we did. Now it is time to give them a glimmer of what is to come, which is extraordinary. By the end of the summer, lives will changed and things will never be the same in Salem. Fans should look at a return to the Days of old by the Fall and they will know what I mean when we get to that point."


    Mastermind/Island Plot: The mastermind behind Captive Island and the current chaos in Salem is revealed on July 5. "We knew the fans hated the end to Captive Island and felt there were plot holes and that it was contrived, " says Yadroc. "Fans will get all the answers and will learn how far this thing goes back. This thing even stretches into the 80's and it will be a huge reward to fans who followed the show over the years and followed the stores from 2003-present. The mastermind has a huge vendetta against a good chunk of Salem and is in partnershp with the Dimeras. I think fans will love the Dimera's not being behind this or Captive Island. It is someone that should have been revealed as the mastermind in 2004-it is the best and really the most obvious choice for me as fan. It is predictable but it makes sense and that should make fans happy. The island plot concludes in mid-summer with huge battles, deaths, revelations, and much more. It will be epic."

    John/Marlena: "They are at the center of everything this summer, especially the island. The love between Marlena and John is what is needed to save Marlena. Fans will see how far she is gone when she attacks a few of her own children. It is very emotional and John will have to make an agonizing choice. There will be a powerful, dramatic standoff that will leave fans in tears," says Yadroc.

    Austin/Carrie/Lucas/Sami: Carrie and her baby are in peril and are saved by a man from the past. Carrie and Sami's stalker is revealed on July 5 and this will be the start of a huge story. Carrie's baby will play a huge part in this story. Meanwhile, Austin hides from Lucas the fact that he slept with Carrie and could be the baby's father. Meanwhile, life endangering events on the island change Sami and her relationships with others. "The relationships between Sami/John and Sami/Lexie will be hugely affected," shares Yadroc.

    Abe/Lexie/Tek/Celeste: Lexie and Sami's relationship begins to change on the island. "Abe will learn about the affair by time they leve the island and that will take all of them into their next story once they return to Salem," Yadroc reveals. One of them does not make it back to Salem. Celeste will become a huge part of the Carver's story in the Fall.

    Belle/Shawn/Mimi/Philip: With Brandt leaving, this foursome has big days ahead. "The truth about Claire is revealed on the island. This will not end the way fans think it will. Expect a stunning twist. As for Philip, you will see him this summer but it will be limited until the actor leaves for good by summer's end," says Yadroc.

    Jack/Jennifer/Frankie: "With Missy Reeves leaving, fans can look for a stunning end to this tale. Also, look for Shane's mystery stalker to play a huge part in this story once she arrives on the island by way of Bo's boat."

    Abby/Max/Chelsea: "Fans started seeing a triangle here after Josh died and now they will get one. Abby and Max bond and the climax of the island story brings them closer. Chelsea will deal with her rape and will learn a stunning secret her self. Whether she tells anyone else that secret is the big question."

    Bo/Hope/Billie/Patrick: "Chelsea will admit to everything she did to Bo and Hope upon returning to Salem. Why you ask? Let's just say it has to do with that little secret only she knows. Patrick's past will come out as the fans will learn a stunning secret about his past. Billie will move out of this story by the end of the summer and will move into a new story of her own. Bo and Hope will try to patch things up but this is far from over."

    Maggie/Mickey/Victor/Caroline/Shawn Sr: "Maggie and Victor forge a bond on the island and grow close. Caroline and Victor have a secret that comes out and that will change everything. The climax of the island story will be the beginning of huge story for these vets. Maggie makes a choice that she will have to live with for the rest of her life and that will send her into a huge story."

    Nicole/Eric/Greta: "It is obvious Eric is hiding something and it becomes apparent something is wrong with him. Nicole and Greta team up to discover what is going on. Greta's father will be revealed as well."

    Misc.: Kate and Roman learn a shocking truth. Roman will also face the reveal of a life-altering secret. Look for two former young stars to turn up on the island this summer. Bonnie makes selfless move. Shane comes face to face with the woman who arrived with him and stalked him and is stunned by her identity.

    -The episode picks up at Salem University hospital. Bill and Laura are talking to the doctor about Eric's condition. Doug and Julie are comforting Caroline, along with Cal. Austin, Lucas, and Will are by a devestated Sami's side. Cal embraces Sami and says it's hard because he will always hold a bond with Eric and her since he believed he was their father. Sami understands and is in denial. Eric can't die and there has to be something they can do. Celeste comes up from behind them and says it's too late-for Eric and for many others they love.

    -Nicole wonders what Greta could possibly tell her that would require her to stop her plane like this. Greta tells Nicole that what she saw at Eric's suite was fake. Eric asked Greta to help him with his plan to make sure Nicole went to LA since he didn't want her to give up her dream job for him. Nicole doesn't buy it. Greta reminds Nicole of Eric's secret and says that she has known what it is for months. In fact, she learned it soon after Nicole asked her to help find out what it is. Nicole is confused.


    Salem Bridge

    -Max wakes up and asks Frankie, Cassie, and Kate if they are ok. They say they are and they get out of the car. Max sees that his car's front end is totaled from hitting the guardrail. Frankie then looks on the other side of the bridge and realizes the car they were trying to avoid went through the guardrail and off the bridge. The four of them race over to all the shattered metal and see a car floating in the river below. Kate realizes it's Chelsea's car and lets out a blood curdling scream as Frankie and Cassie console her and hold her back.

    -In Sydney, Victor holds a gun on Stefano with Maggie by his side. Stefano laughs and says Victor can't stop him. Victor begs to differ and says his time is up.

    -Roman spots Stefano's helicopter and sees Victor from afar and begins to race over.

    -Hope and Bo decide to go look for the others so they can get out of the chaos they find themself in. They make a run for it while dodging bullets.

    -Billie is releived when the CPR works and Shane is breathing. She says there isn't much time for him if he doesn't get medical attention. She tells Jack and Abe to stay with Shane and the helicopter as she goes to find the others.

    -Steve is screaming Kayla's name and for help. Unforunately, the gunshots are drowning out his screams and Kayla, who is lying in a pool of blood, is unresponsive. Steve bangs on the door repeatedly and is desperate for some help. He then looks above and says he isn't sure if he believes in a higher power, or if he ever did before losing his memory, but he needs some help right now. Kayla can't die and he can't watch her die. Steve begs for help to come or for the power to do something to help Kayla.

    Steve then hears two voices and looks outside. It's Bo and Hope, tending to Kayla. They look up and see Steve and open the door. Steve quickly jumps to Kayla's side. Bo says she has a pulse but it's faint. She has lost alot of blood and the wound could be infected. Steve remembers she was acting a bit woozy while tending to victims but he thought she hit her head or something. She must have been hiding her injury so she could take care of the shootout victims. A spray of bullets nearly hits them and Hope wonders when this bloodbath will end.

    -The passengers, flight staff, and pilot are impatient and demand things move along. Nicole asks what Eric's secret has to do with Eric and Greta making it look like they were having sex to get her to leave Salem. Greta tells Nicole that Eric is sick. Nicole seems blindsided and is reminded of Eric's headaches and asks how sick he is. Greta says he is dying. One of the airline attendants asks if the situation can be rectified so the plane can take off. Nicole is stunned as Greta, with tears in her eyes, says that Eric may not have much time left and, even though he didn't want anyone to know or be there, his family is there now and the woman he loves SHOULD be there. Nicole turns her back on Greta and, clearly in shock, has no idea how to respond.

    -Cassie is comforting Kate as Frankie and Max look down below as the car is sinking. Kate is desperate and asks them to do something. Her granddaughter is down there. Max says that the rescue teams are on there way. Frankie reminds Max they called sometime ago and they may not have much time. Max asks what Frankie is thinking. Frankie says they need to act fast and races off, with Max behind him. Cassie yells out to them and asks where they are going. Kate stands up and says they are going to try to save them...before it's too late.

    -Back in Sydney, Bo says they need to get Kayla out of this warzone and to the helicopter where Jack and Billie took Shane and Abe. They can then use some of the medical tools there to help her until everyone gets there and they can take off. Billie arrives and Bo fills her in on what happened. Bo says he is going to find the others and tells Steve and Billie to get Kayla to the helicopter. They agree and Steve carries Kayla while Billie stabilizes her head as they leave. Bo orders Hope to go with them but she refuses. Realizing it is no good arguing, he reluctantly agrees to let her come and they race off.

    -Roman sees Victor aiming his gun at Stefano from afar. Meanwhile, Stefano realizes Lexie needs medical attention fast and tells Victor they will have to resume their battle some other time. He prepares to board his helicopter. Roman sees this, pulls out his gun, and takes aim. Victor aims and fires his gun but realizes he is out of ammo. He needs to act fast so he races over to Stefano to try to pull him off the helicopter before takeoff. Roman aims at Stefano and fires. Maggie sees Roman fire and sees that Victor is in line with it. She jumps in the way and pulls Victor to the ground.

    -Billie and Steve get Kayla to the helicopter. Abe says that Shane is fading and Steve says that Kayla is too. They don't have much time. Jack asks Billie where the others are. Billie says she wishes she knew.

    -Victor gets up and realizes Maggie is shot. She says she is fine. Victor sees it is just a flesh wound. Roman races up just as Bo and Hope do. Victor then notices Stefano's helicopter flying overhead and then pull away. Stefano laughs through his microphone and says, "Until we meet again, my friends." Victor is angry that he wasn't victorious. Roman takes aim but realizes he can't get a shot off. He tells Maggie he is so sorry. Victor realizes Roman shot the bullet and attacks him. Bo orders them to stop and says Shane and Kayla are in bad shape and need a hospital. They all need to get out of this mess now. Victor reluctantly agrees but tells Roman they will deal with each other later.

    -Victor helps Maggie up. He sends a message to his men via radio that it's time to pull out and to collect all survivors and evaculate. Bo says they need to get out of here now as Dimera's men still aren't letting up and bullets are still flying. Victor agrees since he just called his men back. There will be no protection now. They all race off but, as they rush to the helicopter, Hope falls and hurts her ankle. Bo tells Victor and Maggie to go on ahead. Victor says that they need protection since his men have evaculated. Someone needs to cover them. Bo and Roman draw their guns, while also helping Hope along, and say they will provide cover.

    -Back in Salem, Max and Frankie enter the river and swim over to the accident site only to find the car has gone underwater. Max is a better swimmer so he goes under. He finds the car, which is crushed up like an accordian due to the impact of the metal guardrails and the crash. He pulls one of the partygoers out from the back seat via a window and then pulls another one out. Frankie tends to them on the surface as Kate and Cassie join him below the bridge to watch the rescue. Max then pulls Seth out. Frankie can't get a pulse and realizes he is dead. Max attempts to pull Paul out but can't. He can't reach Abby and Chelsea, both of whom have head injuries and are wedged in between crushed metal and the front seats.

    -In Sydney, Victor and Maggie see the helicopter on the clearing and race to it per Bo and Roman's orders. Bo, Hope, and Roman are slightly behind but are being shot at by Dimera men. Roman runs out of ammo. Bo tells him to take Hope and get her to the helicopter. He will be right behind them and will cover them. Roman doesn't like the idea but reluctantly agrees since they won't make it without cover and Bo is the only option. He asks Bo if he is sure he can handle it. Bo nods. Hope resists Roman and says she doesn't like this. Roman picks her up and tells her to shutup and just go along with things for once. Hope screams for Bo and makes him promise he is right behind them. Bo says he is and that he will be right there.

    Ending Segment

    -Bill and Laura tell Doug, Julie, Celeste, Sami, Austin, Lucas, Caroline, Cal, and Will that the doctors think Eric is running on borrowed time and that they don't see what they could possibly do. His tumor is too far advanced. Cal hugs Caroline and Lucas embraces and comforts Sami.

    Just then, Greta races in with Nicole behind her, who asks where Eric is. Bill is about to tell her but Nicole notices him about to point towards the ER and rushes past everyone. Nicole bursts into Eric's cubicle and then stops dead when she sees Eric, hooked up to so many cords and machines. She slowly walks over and stands above him. Eric's head turns toward her slowly and he opens his eyes for the first time since being in the ER and seems stunned to see her. Nicole looks into his eyes and then embraces him, saying how much she loves him as her eyes well up with tears. Eric softly and tearfully says he loves her too as Greta and the others watch from afar, some in tears.

    -Kate, Cassie, and Frankie are worried as Max hasn't come up in some time. The EMT's and search and rescue team arrive and Frankie fills them in. He hopes Max is ok and that the girls are too. Meanwhile, Max manages to pull Paul out and gets him to the surface. The search and rescue team take him to shore and order Max to return to the shore. He says the girls don't have much time and he is going to help. He goes down under with the S&R team and they work feverishly and manage to get Chelsea out. She is brought up to shore while the attention turns to Abby, who is not breathing.

    The S&R and Max try to pull her out but can't. The S&R return to the surface while Max remains down below. They try to pull him up but he refuses. They manage to get him up but he then goes back underwater again. One of the S&R team members tells Frankie his brother won't come up until he pulls Abby out and that it is most likely too late for Abby. She isn't breathing and has been down there for awhile and, the longer Max stays down there, the more the chance of things not looking good for him either. Cassie looks on frightened along with a worried Frankie, who asks Jennifer to watch over his brother and her daughter.

    -In Sydney, Victor and Maggie board the helicopter. The pilot amps up the engine. Abe says that Shane's pulse is weakening. Jack and Steve notice the same about Kayla's and reiterate they need to go now. Billie helps Roman get Hope aboard. Bo is still way out on the clearing and Hope and Victor are clearly worried. She begs Roman to go get him. Roman is about too when he sees Bo racing towards them. Hope, Billie, Roman, and Victor are relieved. The pilot says they are ready to go. Jack then sees a another helicopter coming towards them. The others take notice too. Billie looks through her binoculars and says:

    Billie: Oh my God...
    Roman: Billie, what is it?
    Billie: It's Stefano. He is in the helicopter.
    Abe: What the hell?
    Billie: He is pulling out something...it's a blowhorn!!?

    They all then hear Stefano give them a message via the blowhorn:

    Stefano: It's not like me to leave quietly so I know I needed to leave you all with something to remember me by. I am just thankful I flew by so I didn't miss this wonderful opportunity. Here is a little something that I hope will send you all a little message...

    Billie (while looking through binoculars): He put the blowhorn away. The helicopter is passing over us...
    Hope: What is he...Roman...go get him..
    Roman: Hope...
    Hope: Something is going to happen!!! Get Bo!!!

    Roman gets out and races towards Bo, who is nearing the helicopter.

    Billie: Oh my...
    Hope: Is it Stefano?
    Billie: No...someone else in the helicopter...they have a machine gun. They are aiming it at Bo!!!
    Hope: ROMAN!!! GET HIM!!! GET BO!! HURRY!!

    The scene is now in slow motion as Roman is racing towards Bo and Bo towards Roman and the others. We then see a sniper in Stefano's helicopter aiming at Bo with the machine gun as Stefano tends to Lexie, and watches, with a smile. The sniper then fires the gun several times, sending a spray of bullets in Bo's direction:

    Billie: Oh my God!!
    Victor: Bo...
    Hope: BO!!!!!!

    We then see Bo trying to dodge the spray of bullets as the sniper continues to fire. The camera then pans in on Bo as he takes several bullets. Roman gets to him, just in time to catch his lifeless body. Roman falls to the ground with Bo in his arms. Billie fires her gun at Stefano's helicopter to drive them away. Stefano's helicopter then pulls away. Billie turns and races over to Roman, who is cradling Bo in his arms.

    Hope: BO!!! (Hope gets out and limps towards where Bo is)
    Victor: Not my son... (Victor races towards Bo)

    Roman: Bo...come on bro...
    Billie: Bo...come on...not like this
    Hope (kneels down at his side in tears and, with Roman, cradles him in her arms): BO!! NO!!! NO!!!!!

    The screen then fades out on an overhead view of Billie and Victor standing by as Roman and Hope cradle a lifeless, bloody Bo.

    At Salem University Hospital, Nicole finally arrives, and walks into Eric’s hospital room. He is barely conscious and speaks only in a whisper. She starts crying heavily as she is reunited with her one true love, who is near death. She vows to him that she will stay by his side and he will recover. Eric tells her it’s way too late for that. He wants her to be happy and not mourn him. She tells him to be quiet and conserve his strength, as doctors quietly check on him and, as she holds his hand tenderly, she sits by his bedside.

    -In the outer hallway, Nicole has come out and has joined Caroline & Sami as they blast Greta for not telling any of them about what was wrong with Eric. All she can say is how sorry she is and hopes that one day she will be forgiven for what she did. Austin & Lucas have also arrived, and, after hearing what Greta has done on Eric’s behalf, are shocked as well. Greta’s guilt is getting the best of her until she excuses herself.

    She goes downstairs to the computer room to do heavy research on what Eric’s condition and what remedies might be available. She now feels this may be the only way left to save his life and redeem herself in his family’s eyes.

    -Meanwhile, at Salem Bridge, the S&R team work on Chelsea. They revive her and a cheer goes up loud and clear. The paramedics load her into a waiting ambulance and Kate tells Frankie that she is going to the emergency room with her. Frankie tells her that he will pray for her and Kate returns the favor, hoping that Max & Abby will be ok. They hug and Kate leaves on the ambulance as it blazes a path down the street.

    Frankie runs back to the bank and looks out where Max was. The car is still submerged and there is no sign of either Max or Abby. Time is growing very short and he knows that if neither one comes up soon all maybe lost and it will turn into a recovery operation. As Cassie comforts Frankie, a miracle occurs. Max has managed to free Abby from the sinking car with help from the team and has brung her to the surface.

    The paramedics now work on Abby but Frankie is still horrified because Max has not surfaced. As everyone looks on quietly, they hear someone yell from a distance. When a huge floodlight is shown in that direction, it reveals a S&R team member, who has Max in his grasp! Frankie thanks God over and over and runs down the bank to where they pull Max out. They perform CPR on him and, suddenly, he regains consciousness.

    -Back in the ER of Salem University Hospital, Chelsea is wheeled in and quickly put in one of the rooms, where ER doctors go to work on her immediately. The chief paramedic informs the staff that she has a severe concussion, massive internal injuries & multiple fractures of her right arm. Kate overhears this and starts to cry uncontrollably. She starts to collapse under her sorrow, when Lucas enters the waiting room and catches her. He asks his mother what’s wrong and then happens to turn and look inside the ER backroom, where he sees his niece lying unconscious.

    When Austin walks in to see what the commotion is about, Lucas fills him in and begs him to go back upstairs and tell Chelsea’s family that she is near death and that she doesn’t have much time. Austin agrees and races upstairs. Lucas tries to keep Kate conscious but she has a bruise on her forehead and is slipping in and out. He calls for a nurse to bring a doctor for his mother. As orderlies put Kate on a gurney herself, they wheel in Abby at the very same time. Her condition is grave as well with a severe head injury, internal bleeding, and two crushed legs. The paramedic tells the ER doctor that it is truly a miracle that both girls made it to the hospital at all, which she agrees.

    Caroline, Lucas, Austin, Sami, Will, Kate, Doug, Julie, Laura, Bill, Frankie, and Max watch as both girls are stabilized and rushed into emergency surgery. Laura breaks down in Bill’s arms, blaming her selfishness for putting these girls in this spot, especially Abby. She tells him that if she dies, Laura feels she may not be able to go on. Bill insists she stop talking like that and learn from her actions. Max has walked in, asking about the girls’ condition and Bill walks over and thanks him for saving both their lives. Max says it was what anyone would have done and prays that they see another day. Max thinks about Abby secretly but Cassie, who has followed him, also sees this and now realizes that he may actually love Abby as more then a friend.

    In Sydney, Roman works on his badly injured brother. Hope is being held back by Victor, while Roman says that Bo is breathing but barely. They load him onto Victor helicopter and it takes off at breakneck speed. Hope, Roman & Victor jump on and follow closely behind. Roman looks down at the carnage that was left behind and turns to Victor. Victor doesn’t even look at him but when Roman tells him that this is all in his lap Victor explodes, telling Roman that if he had just let him handle it his son would not be near death right now.

    Roman grows livid. He tells Victor that all this Godfather crap was his idea and if his baby brother dies, he will make sure Victor follows right behind him. Victor asks if that was a threat and Roman tells him to take it anyway he wants. Victor informs Roman that just because he has fought Stefano for twenty five years, don’t think he’s as much of a pushover as he is. He says that if Roman takes his best shot there will be two funerals. One for Stefano.....and the other for him. Hope wants both men to hear themselves and can’t believe that they are making threats while their loved ones are fighting for their lives. That statement seems to end the exchange....for now.

    -Later, at a Sydney hospital, Abe & Maggie are waiting in the outer room after receiving treatment for their wounds. They both witness the others coming in. Shane is being treated in the ER and Jack gives everyone the news that he will be make it but is still unconscious. Hope is laid on a gurney and Roman tells the attending doctor that she is to be treated for her ankle, no matter what she says. He then walks over to Abe and asks if he is ok. Abe tells him he’s fine, but is worried about Alexandra. Roman says that one thing Stefano won’t do is allow his child to die. He probably has her being seen by some of the finest doctors money can buy and he should know. Abe is strangely relieved at this news.

    Roman then walks past Victor and into the ER room where doctors and nurses work on his brother & baby sister. He quietly talks to his father, wondering where he went wrong. Jack & Steve barely speak, as they look on in Kayla’s direction, while Hope has used her crutches to walk near Bo’s bedside after the doctors have stabilized him. She sits down next to him and gently takes his hand, vowing that things will be different once he comes home. Victor & Maggie listen on silently as they observe the love between the two and Roman sits between his siblings, hoping for a miracle. It is fleeting and when Kayla suddenly flatlines, a desperate Steve jumps past the doctors near her on instinct and begs her to live. The scene then switches to.....

    A beautiful park. Kayla is surprised that she has recovered so quickly and takes in all the sights. She is the happiest she has been in ages, with Steve back by her side. She then looks near a huge tree to see a man standing there. She decides to walk closer to him, just so she can introduce herself, and is shocked when she recognizes the face......of her late father, Shawn Sr!

    At that very same time, Bo has suddenly went into cardiac arrest as well. Roman jumps up and runs around his bed, grabbing Hope who has now gone into hysterical screams begging this man she loves to not die. Victor holds Maggie as she starts crying and Billie helps Roman pull Hope out into the hallway so that the ER staff can do their work on him. Bo then has an out-of-body experience himself, with memories of his life flashing before his eyes. His childhood, fighting and laughing with Roman, holding Roman after he has been shot by Stefano, confiding in Kimberly, kissing Caroline on her cheek, marrying Hope the first time in England, finding out Victor was his father, leaving town, playing checkers with Kayla, pulling Roman up off of a cliff after finding out it was him & many more memories.

    One last memory is that of a Bo as a little boy. He is terrified beyond belief, as someone is trying to hurt him. He calls out for Roman, Shawn Sr., Caroline, and Kimberly, but no one comes to his aid. As the figure walks up on him, telling him it will be alright.........he flatlines. The screen splits into three different sections, with Bo & Kayla dead on either side, and a monitor that reads flatlines in the middle. As the anguished cries of their loved ones echo and beg for them to live, the screen slowly fades to black.

    On The Next Exciting Episode Of Salem Lives............

    Sami to Eric and Nicole: We aren't going to give up on you, bro. Are we, Nicole?
    Greta: Oh my God...there may be hope afterall.
    Max to Cassie: Abby and Chelsea can't die.
    Cassie to Max: You still care for both them but your feelings for Abby...you love her don't you?
    Steve at Kayla bedside: Why did I say that?
    Hope to Victor: If I lose him, I will make you pay.
    Roman to Victor: Not if I don't first.

    -Cal and Katherine are at their hotel suite at the Salem Inn, Cal is still confused about why he saw Ernesto Toscano's face in his memories. Katherine tells him that it will all come back to him eventually. Cal says that is exactly it. He doesn't understand and doesn't know what all this together means. He has remembered so much but there is still so much missing that it prevents him from fully understanding it all. Katherine promises him it will become clear. He already has made so much progress and they only had one session. Cal says he doesn't know what he would do without his beautiful wife by his side. They kiss.

    She tells him not to be afraid of what he will remember or what is to come. They will work through it together, no matter what it is. They are married now. Partners for life. That won't change. Cal pledges his love to her and she does the same. They kiss and then make love.

    -At the Horton house, Alice is making doughnuts with Maggie and tells her how nice it is that they are spending time together. So much has happened and it's been forever since they enjoyed such a simple evening together where they can just talk and enjoy each other. Maggie agrees. Alice notices she seems rather nervous and asks what is wrong. Maggie says she is fine but Alice tells her she knows she isn't. Something has been upsetting her lately. It seems to have started ever since the fire. Alice reminds Maggie she is there for her and that she does not judge. She can tell her anything. Maggie is silent, not knowing what to say.

    Meanwhile, in the living room, Doug and Julie have returned from seeing a movie. Doug asks her if she is ok. She seemed rather distracted during the movie. Julie says she's fine. She is just feeling a bit under the weather today. Doug asks if she has been feeling that way for awhile now. Julie says no and asks why he would think that. Doug says that something hasn't been quite right with her since he woke up from his coma. He asks her if she is keeping something from him. Julie is caught off guard and is speechless.

    -At the Kiriakis Mansion, Jack is with Billie, Max and Nico, monitoring the surveilance cameras set up all over Salem. They are soon joined by Frankie and Greta, who ask if there are any updates. Billie shakes her head no and says it's getting hopeless. The MCF hasn't been seen since the wedding when she chased after him or her. Jack asks her again if she is sure Kate didn't see or hear anything else. Billie hits Jack, reminding him she doesn't want everyone knowing that. Her mother didn't everyone knowing that. Frankie, Greta, Max and Nico are confused so Billie fills them in on her mother being taken hostage by the MCF the night she went after the MCF. She assures them both she is fine but that she doesn't want anyone knowing about it out of fear that the MCF may target her or their family again.

    Greta and Frankie understand. They tell Billie not to lose hope. Jack agrees, telling Billie they will get the MCF and find their daughters. Billie says she knows they will. She just needed to hear someone say it to give her strength. She thanks Jack for always being there for her. She doesn't know what she would do without him. Jack says he feels the same way. They embrace. Billie sees Greta whispering to her. Billie reads her lips, which seem to say, "Tell him...tell him how you feel." Billie shakes her head and seems to whisper softly back, "It's not the right time." Jack sees Frankie whispering to him to also admit to Billie how he feels. Jack shakes his head and softly whispers, "Not yet." Frankie and Greta both look on, frustrated, as Jack and Billie embrace.

    Nico also watches, wondering what is going on with Jack and Billie and what the hell Frankie and Greta are doing and whispering. He laughs and shakes his head in disgust, saying "Love. The way people act and the things they do." Max tells him it's all worth it. He then says that they need to find Abby and Chelsea. if he loses Abby, he doesn't know what he will do. Nico smiles and says, "Hit by the love bug too, eh?" Max says to Nico it's a great feeling and he plans to tell Abby how he feels when they find her. Nico tells Max "Good for you" and gets back to watching the monitors.

    -At Sami and Lucas's apartment, Sami is on the couch in Lucas's arms. Will is in his room and Sami asks Lucas how they are going to get to the bottom of what is wrong with him. How can they find out if Alan did something to him? Alan is MIA and no one else will now. Will won't talk to them either. Lucas says they will find a way. There is then a knock at the door. It's Austin, who says he needs their help. Carrie just up and left and he has no idea where she is. He checked a few places already and no luck. Sami asks why they aren't in Aruba and Austin explains how the weather was bad and they got moved to a morning flight tomarrow. Roman then arrives, telling Austin he got his call to meet him there. He asks what is up. Austin repeats what he told Sami and Lucas and says he needs their help.

    Roman says he has it but asks Austin if he is sure he isn't overeacting. Austin mentions how Carrie has seemed off lately. even at their wedding. He knows something isn't quite right with her and now she just left without telling him. There was no possible place for her to go to. No one knew they were still in town except Belle, who they told because Carrie had left her cell at the penthouse so they needed to tell Belle to turn it off. There was nothing going on so there is no reason for her to leave him. Roman tells Austin ok. They can do this as a precautionary measure based on everything Carrie has been through and based on the fact that the MCF is on the loose. He suggests they split up. He tells Sami and Lucas to go off in the east side of Salem to search together. He will go North and Austin can go west. He will send some men out to help them and to search the south side. They all agree and head out to search.

    -On the pier, Victor arrives as Kate races over to him and embraces him, saying she is so glad he came so quickly.

    Victor: Why are you hugging me? We haven't hugged in...
    Kate: Years. Sorry. I am just so upset and...forget it happened. Look...something horrible has happened. It happened months ago and...you are the only person I can turn to. I am in deep trouble. As our many others. Your the only one who I could think of to help. You have the power and influence. Victor...I need you. I need your help.
    Victor: Ok. Calm down. Just tell me what happened. The cloaked figure. I got dragged into his or her plans, as did Carrie. God help me, Victor. I would've never stayed quiet this long and...God. I would've did something if I had known before that one of the cloaked person's lackey's...that one of them hurt Will.
    Victor: Wait, I'm not following. One of the lackeys?
    Kate: It was Alan, Victor. He molested Will. That is what I found out tonight.

    Victor is stunned.

    Meanwhile, on another end of the pier, Carrie is racing to get to Marlena's. She hates that she had to walk but she doesn't her car at the Salem Inn so she had no choice. She needs to get there and get to the lab results before someone finds them. She them bumps right into Eric and Belle, who tell her she's too late.

    Eric: We were just on our way to you. I am so glad Belle knew you were still in town. I am glad you are. Maybe you can help us out with this (shows her the lab results).
    Carrie: I...
    Eric: Want to tell us the truth, Carrie? You can't lie about this. These are legit. Plus, the fact that you were so insistent on getting to them before someone found them...you just proved they are true right there. Just admit it.
    Carrie (fighting back tears): I don't know what those are but...
    Belle: Carrie, we're family. It's ok. Just tell us. Explain...
    Carrie (crying): FINE!!! IT'S TRUE!! OK? EVAN IS MY SON!!! I GAVE UP MY CHILD AND I REGRET IT OK!! Now I can't get him back or tell anyone because of this damned cloaked person and...God, are you happy now? If that cloaked person learns you two know, we all may be in danger.

    Eric and Belle look each other, both stunned and worried.

    -Back at the Horton house, Maggie assures Alice she is fine. She just has alot on her mind and doesn't know where to go with her life. She lost Mickey, Victor, and her restaurant. Alice tells her to just listen to her heart. It will give her the answers she needs. Maggie embraces her, telling Alice she always knows just the right thing to say.

    Meanwhile, Julie tells Doug for the last time that she has no secrets. They have been through so much over they years. She wouldn't lie to him. They have a marriage based on complete trust and honesty. Doug says he is pleased to hear that and gives her a kiss. Julie insists she just doesn't feel right today and it's been a rough year for her family and it's taken it's toll. Doug says he understands. Time will heal all wounds and things will be better for everyone someday soon. He is sure of it. They kiss again as Julie tells him she loves his optimism. Doug smiles and says he is going to tell Alice they are back. Julie nods.

    Maggie comes out of the kitchen. She says she didn't even hear him and Julie come in. Doug says they were just being sneaky. Julie laughs. Doug embraces Maggie and says it's good to see her and that he will be right out to talk. Doug goes into the kitchen. Once he leaves, Julie lets out a sigh of relief, saying it's getting harder and harder to lie to him with his constant questions about her behavior. He just knows her too well. Maggie beings to panic, saying Alice questioned her behavior too. They know. Doug and Alice know. Maggie says they should just admit everything and be done with it. Julie tells her not panic. No one can find out or the Horton family will have it's name dragged through mud and they will both go to jail. Doug's heart will be broken. It will be a mess. She hates lying too but they have to. For their sake and the family's. Maggie reluctantly agrees, saying it looks like they will just have to live with the guilt they are feeling. Julie says it looks like it

    -Back at the pier, Kate has finished telling Victor all about how she learned the truth about Nicole's adopted son, Evan, and how the MCF forced her into keeping the truth and making Carrie keep the truth. She also tells her about the MCF taking her hoatage the other night and all about the night Will was molested, the same night Carrie gave birth and gave up the child. Victor is stunned by it all. He chastices Kate for not coming forward but Kate says her family was at stake. She couldn't but now she has to. Chelsea has been kidnapped and the rest of her family has been screwed with by this person. Victor fills Kate in on how he has been helping Billie, Jack, and the rest of those involved in their secret operation to bring down the MCF. Kate thinks they need to tell the police and all the proper authorities. They all can't do this alone. Everyone affected by this monster has to unite together, along with the authorities, to stop all this terror they are going through.

    Victor says they need to get to the police station now but Kate tells Victor they can't. If the truth gets out before Carrie has a chance to tell Austin, it may ruin their marriage. Victor says that is a risk they may have to take. Bringing the MCF to justice is more important. Victor tells Kate they better go to the station since a call could be traced. Kate reluctantly agrees and they take off.

    Meanwhile, on the other side of the pier, Carrie has just finished telling Eric and Belle everything. She assures them she was just doing what was right for her baby and everyone else. She knows it was wrong now. Belle says she understands but she should've trusted in Austin and Lucas more to deal with the paternity issue. Carrie says she knows now. She hates what this has done. Belle pulls out a tissue and tells Carrie to dry her tears. Sami and Lucas then walk up and see Carrie with Belle and Eric. Lucas calls Roman and tells him they found her and to tell Austin that they did.

    Sami and Lucas walk over to Carrie, Eric, and Belle. They are stunned to see them. Sami sees that Carrie is crying and asks what is wrong. Kate and Victor then arrive while on their way to the police station. Victor asks what is going on. Kate sees Carrie's face and the lab results in Eric's hand and realizes what is going on. Carrie looks at Kate.

    Just then, Roman arrives and embraces Carrie. He asks if she is ok. She says she is fine. He sees that she has been crying and says she doesn't look fine.

    Roman: Honey, come on. What is wrong?
    Austin: That is what I would like to know.

    Carrie is stunned to see Austin.

    Austin: Why did you run off, Carrie? What is going on? Give me the truth this time. Please...I'm your husband. Tell me what is bothering you.

    Eric, Belle, Sami, Lucas, Roman, Kate, and Victor watch as Austin waits for answers and a horrified Carrie looks at Austin, wondering what she is going to do as the screen fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    OCTOBER 12, 2007: EPISODE #349: TAKING IT TO THE MAT PART 2

    UNDER THE RUINS OF THE DIMERA MANSION

    In the secret room, Hope decides to call the police contacts that she knows to see if they found out anything. Steve can't believe Stefano even has secret rooms in a penthouse. Tony says Stefano has secret rooms and passageways in all of his properties in the event he has to escape or hide something. Tony continues to look through the files and finds a notation from Liz Curtis in one of the documents. He tells Steve and Hope that this is the break they needed. Liz is in Indiana in they have to leave ASAP. They can't risk Stefano catching on before they learn the truth. Hope and Steve take off for their homes, saying that they will leave notes for Bo and Kayla, hoping they understand. Tony hopes they do as well because this running off is really making them look bad in their spouses’ eyes.


    STEFANO'S PENTHOUSE

    Stefano is riding on a stationary bike as Lincoln walks in. Stefano greets him, asking how the clean-up is going. Lincoln tells him that Victor is spending a fortune trying to clean up that spill and cover-up the attacks on his tankers. It won’t break him by no means but it will put a very serious dent in his wallet. Stefano smiles, saying that since Victor will now be busy, it’s time to turn their attention to Orpheus.

    Stefano then asks if things are where he wants them. Lincoln says that everything is almost in place. They move very, very soon. Stefano smiles once again, saying........

    Stefano: Good. Excellent work, my friend. That Orpheus won’t know what hit him when we strike. And Victor........he doesn’t suspect a thing?
    Lincoln: Not one thing. As far as he knows, I am one of his loyal men.
    Stefano: Good. Good. You know.........I’ve been letting way too much slide by, because of honor. He blows up my warehouse with my daughter in it.........and I let it go. He blows up my HOME..........and I let it go. Well........no more. The oil tankers were just a preview. Next time...............

    Victor will receive the main presentation. And Orpheus..........dear Orpheus. His hell.........is just beginning.

    The scene then fades into the...


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Victor is on the phone with the Governor of Texas, assuring him that every effort is being made to contain and clean up the spill. He thanks the Governor and tells him to give his best to his wife and children. As Victor hangs up, Roman walks in with a brandy and asks him.....

    Roman: How’s the clean-up going?
    Victor: We just started. The money I’m going to sink into this...........Stefano better be glad his sorry [!@#$%^&*] ass isn’t standing here right now.......or he would have a bullet in his head.
    Roman: Well, if any of us would have done that years ago........
    Victor: We wouldn’t be in this [!@#$%^&*] now, right?
    Roman: Yeah. You can say that.
    Victor: Well, then.........are you going to work with me once again..........and find out what that bastard is up to?
    Roman:Yeah. Why not?
    Victor: Good. And...........just to give you some help..........I asked this man to be your eyes and ears.

    A familiar man walks into the study(CLICK HERE FOR PIC OF THE MAN!!) and stands in front of Roman, saying.......

    Man: You’re looking well. You ready to ride on this?

    Roman looks at the gentleman, then at Victor, and then back at the gentleman before saying..........

    Roman: With guns blazing.

    All three men then walk out of the room, leaving to discuss plans.


    BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE

    Hope is about to run out of her house, Steve comes walking in with his bag. Hope asks if everything is alright, to which Steve replies yes. Steve then says that they don’t have the time to talk about it there. They’ll talk when they get on the plane. Hope agrees and picks up her bags as she and Steve run out the door to Salem Airport.

    A short time after, Bo comes home and calls out to Hope. When she doesn’t answer, he looks around for her, walking into the kitchen and then coming back into the bedroom. Kayla calls him on his cell phone, asking him if he got a note from Hope or Steve. Bo says no at first and then looks down on the end table to see the note Hope left him. Kayla wants to know what is going on with those two.

    As Bo reads the note, he wants to know the very same thing.


    DEVERAUX HOUSE

    The cat fight continues as Billie smacks Elizabeth hard across the face. It stops the fight for a few moments as Elizabeth rubs her face. Billie tells her to stay away from Jack, pointing a finger in her face. Elizabeth slaps the finger out of her face and smacks Billie hard. Billie holds her jaw, looks at Elizabeth with shock and anger, and then tackles her into some tables.

    Jack and Alex run into the place and pull both women apart, with Elizabeth yelling that Billie is jealous of her son and Jack. Billie yells at her, saying that’s a lie. Elizabeth says she doesn’t want Jack and Alex to bond. She then says that Billie started the fight in the first place. Alex does agree with his mother, saying that she is not violent like that. After a few moments of confusion, Jack sides with Elizabeth, telling Billie that she could have found a better way to handle the situation.

    Billie then says that since he’s already believing the trout mouth, lying bitch, he can have her, and storms off furiously. As Jack goes after her, Elizabeth looks at Alex.....

    And just smiles.

    When Alex walks over to her, he asks what is her game. Elizabeth just says that she is doing what is necessary for him and her. Outside, Jack catches up with Billie and asks why he has a problem with his son. Billie says she has no problem with him.......her problem is with Elizabeth. Jack says all that he is worried about is Alex and Billie jumps in, saying that she knows he still has feelings for Elizabeth and if he doesn’t watch out........

    She will sink her teeth into him. Billie turns and walks away, leaving a stunned Jack standing alone as the scene freeze frames on his face and slowly fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    -Abby and Chelsea arrive home from a day of Halloween shopping. Chelsea looks inside the house and, after making sure Jack is not there, she and Chelsea run up the stairs to Abby's bedroom. After slamming the door, they pull out all of the clothes they bought. Abby comments about how shocked Jack and everyone else will be when they see her in that. Chelsea agrees but says the whole point is for her not to be seen in it by them, and then both girls laugh. Chelsea decides to get out of the house before Abby’s dad and Billie show up. They tell each other bye and that they will meet at the party later. Chelsea runs downstairs and out the back door, just as Jack and Billie are coming in the front door.


    -Billie and Jack discuss what she is going to do about Chelsea. Billie tells Jack that her and Bo have tried their best, but Chelsea won’t listen. Jack tells her he doesn’t know how Chelsea could listen to Bo. Bo is telling Chelsea “Look. Start acting like and adult, and not like some spoiled brat. And now if you’ll excuse me, I have a mafia war to plan out with my underworld father and his henchmen.” No wonder Chelsea isn’t listening, even though she should. Billie asks about Abby. Jack tells Billie that’s all about Jennifer. After the four times he died, Jack tells Billie he now knows how hard it is to raise a child by yourself. After Billie chuckles, she agrees, but also tells Jack to hang in there Abby will turn herself around. She’s nothing like Chelsea. Jack hopes that his friendship with Billie doesn't cause further problems for both their families. Billie says it won't as long as Laura stays out of it and Jack vows to make sure that happens. They call out for Chelsea and Abby but no on answers. Jack says he will go look out back and, right after he leaves, Abby races down having heard the back door slam and thinking everyone was gone. Billie sees her and is stunned to see her dressed in something Chelsea would wear to one of her parties. She asks Abby what she thinks she is doing and says she is shocked to see her dressed like that. Abby asks Billie what she thinks she is going to do about it. Billie responds that she is going to tell her father.


    -Alan is still reeling from his admission of what his father did to his mother when he was a child. Carrie can’t believe it. She just cannot believe that his father was such a monster. She tells Alan that she knows about monsters. Stefano DiMera is her personal monster. Alan says because of everything he has done to her family. Carrie says yes, especially her father. To strip him of everything was just horrible for someone to do. The same type of pain Alan is feeling right now. Carrie tells Alan that she sympathizes with him and what he has to endure all of his life. She asks him if these are the demons that he has also been wrestling with in prison. He says he doesn’t want to talk about his time behind bars right now, but answers there are plenty. These are the very same demons. He just doesn’t know how to get these nightmares out of his head. Carrie tells him that she wishes her stepmother, Marlena, was here. She could help him with his past, and help him shape a new future. Alan wonders if he can still have a future. Carrie says yes, he can, and has an idea on how about to get that started. Carrie asks Alan if he could do her a huge favor and return to Salem, just to check on her family and see how everyone is doing. She can't because she is mroe recognizable and it is hard for her to get around with her pregnancy. Alan looks at her and then walks near the fireplace. After some thought and fully thinking of the risks, he turns to Carrie and says yes, he can go back home to Salem. It can be two-fold for him. He can finally start putting these demons to rest since he can't live in fear of those he hurt his whole life, and at the same time find out what has been really happening to her family since the island tragedy. Carrie just wonders if he would still like for her to be his companion even after he leaves for Salem. He says yes. He has grown very fond of her, and would not want to lose the only real friend he has ever had. Carrie says then it is settled. She tells Alan to be careful. Alan says he will and, after packing up some things, leaves the cabin for Salem. Carrie wishes him luck and thanks him.


    -Sami meets her brother Eric for lunch. After sitting down and ordering, they catch up on what’s been happening with each other. When Sami presses Eric on why he has been hiding his headaches from her, he lies to her and says that they are not as bad as they seem. Eric tells her it’s more stress than anything else, having to deal with Nicole and all. Nicole overhears his words and comes over to join them. She tells Sami that Eric’s lies about whatever is going on with him has added to the problems in their relationship. Sami looks at both of them, says that she is really not in the mood to get in the middle of all their drama, bids Eric a warm goodbye while rolling her eyes at Nicole, and leaves the two of them alone. While walking away, Sami bumps into Greta, who also observes the fighting going on between the two. After Greta says she doesn’t know what Eric’s problem is, she asks Sami if she is going to the Halloween Ball later that night. Sami says no, she has too much going on to party. Besides, she feels none of her family want to be within two hundred feet of her after what she did. Greta insists that she go, especially since all the proceeds are for charity. Sami takes a few steps past her, thinks for a moment, turns, and tells Greta that yes, she will attend. It may go a long way into showing her loved ones that she is finally starting to change her ways, and is serious about turning over a new leaf. After telling her she needs to hurry and find her costume, she bids Greta a warm farewell and both hurry off.


    -After watching his sister leave, Eric turns to Nicole and demands to know why she decided to just walk up and start running off at her mouth. Nicole tells him that she was just concerned about him, and says she’s sorry for what happened, but he isn’t giving her much room to be civil. Eric says how can he, when she spends all of her time at work and hardly none with him. Nicole tells Eric that he will not push this off on her. He is being a contemptible ass, and needs to stop blaming her for how he is acting. Nicole wonders what is it about Brady children that whenever they do something, it’s never their fault. Eric says that’s not fair. He is nothing like Sami. Nicole says really then what does he call keeping some big secret from her since his return and blaming her for how he’s feeling. Eric sits quietly and says nothing. Nicole says exactly. That’s what she figured. Eric then tells her that the biggest reason why he came back home is because he loved her and wanted her to return to Salem with him. But, Eric now says it is apparent that she never wanted that. Nicole tells Eric that he is wrong. Eric stands, tells her it just doesn’t matter anymore, and leaves Nicole alone near the table. Nicole sits down.....starts to cry softly. Eric runs into Greta outside. Greta can see he is upset and embraces him. She tells him everything is going to be ok, as Nicole looks on from inside and bears witness to their close moment.


    -As Celeste plays with Theo back at Abe’s home, Abe comes in from his day at the cop shop. Abe walks over and picks Theo up, and tells him how much he loves him. Celeste stands up, and, while looking Abe holding his son, turns and walks away. Abe notices that Celeste didn’t say a word. He also notices that Celeste is very sad. Abe ask what is the problem. Celeste turns and faces Abe, telling him she still can’t believe that Alexandra turned her back on her, and told her she is nothing to her now. Abe tells Celeste that Lexie didn’t mean that. She is still stinging from the custody battle for Theo. She’ll calm down, and will be back home soon. Celeste says she doesn’t know about that. She feels Stefano’s influence has finally succeeded in poisoning her mind against her family and friends. Abe puts Theo down, walks towards Celeste, and tells her that he will do what he said he would. He will get Lexie away from Stefano and bring her back home. Celeste tells Abe that he better keep that promise, but she sees tragedy on the horizon. And not just for Alexandra, but for everyone in Salem. That could very well start tonight at the ball as she sees revelations and more pain in the near future. Celeste grabs her coat and tells Abe she will see him at Ball tonight, and leaves him to ponder her words.


    -Lexie is shown at the DiMera Mansion, very upset at having lost her son. Stefano walks in the main parlor, and tells Lexie to not worry. Everyone in Salem will pay dearly for what has happened. Lexie wonders aloud:

    Lexie: Now how will you do that, Stefano? The entire town is poisoned against you for all the things you’ve done to the Hortons and Bradys.
    Stefano: It is of no concern what this wretched town feels. All they need to worry about is the wrath of the DiMera Family. I always keep my promises, my dear.
    Lexie: Really? Then who was that that kept telling me that Theo would be right here? Huh? Who was that? A ghost?!
    Stefano: Watch your tone with me young lady. (Grabbing her by her right arm) Remember who I am, darling. I demand respect from my children, especially when they stay in my house!!
    Lexie: (Yanking her arm away) I’m not Tony! You don’t run me, Father. All you can do give me and everyone else your cryptic words and phrases. That crap isn’t scaring anyone anymore.

    Just then, Cassie comes down the stairs.

    Cassie: What is all the yelling for? I can’t even listen to any music.
    Stefano: (Turning back towards Lexie) Cassie is just one element of what I have planned, my dear. I’m already using her as a link between myself and the Brady family. No one is suspicious. Of what is going on, especially your ex-husband and Roman Brady. He’s too mixed up in this war between me and Victor to see what is happening right underneath his nose. So, like I said, leave all this to me. It is under control.
    Cassie: That’s right, Aunt Lexie. Max is falling for my charms and the Brady's still think of me as family. I have him and the whole family eating out of the palm of my hand. Theo will once again be living with you soon.
    Lexie: And you don’t care about ruining Max’s life?
    Cassie: What should I care? My grandfather is one of the most powerful and dangerous men in the world. I’ll take that over being a member of some poor family like the Bradys any day.
    Stefano: Well spoken, my dear. With what Cassie is doing, coupled with my having Steve and Kayla Johnson being held prisoner, things are working out into our favor.
    Lexie: (With a shocked look) You kidnapped Steve and Kayla?! What is wrong with you?! You want Roman and Bo down on your head, not to mention Jack Deveraux?
    Stefano: (Walking to his desk and picking up the paper) Who cares about any of them? Once I have Roman Brady neutralized, the rest of that family will be lost. Then, I’ll take care of Victor, and Salem will be mine and you will have Theo back. Just remain loyal to your adoring father and listen to what he says and everything will work out to your benefit. (Looking at the Halloween Bash ad) Well, well, well. This is perfect. No better place to observe what is going on than a Halloween party for charity. Get your costumes out, ladies. The DiMeras are stepping out on the town! Hahahahaha..........................

    "A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER" EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW

    "It's a huge month that we really have been building to since our regime took over," says EP/HW Tim Lowery. "Things have been very dark and Salem and the beginning of the month will see more of that. However, as the month goes on, hope springs enternal and happiness finally returns to Salem right on time for Christmas. There will be some miracles and some big returns. The fans will be pleased and Christmas week itself will be very emotional."

    Nicole/Eric/Greta: "This story is building to it's emotional climax. The Brady's and Nicole rally around Eric. Will Eric really die? Greta's discovery and Victor's help may still not be enough. There will be some heart-stopping heroics as Eric continues to slip away. Look for the Sami/Roman dynamic and Roman/Victor dynamic to be pivotal here."

    Jack/Billie/Laura/Bill/Abby/Chelsea/Max/Cassie/Frankie: "Laura finally realizes the mistakes she has made with letting her hatred for the Roberts/Reed women get the best of her and will confess all to Jack. Max will begin to realize the true extent of his feelings for Abby and will share them with Frankie. There will be a turning point for Cassie as she realizes it's no longer about helping Stefano with his revenge-she has fallen for Max. The question is...will she act on those feelings? Abby and Chelsea will be on the brink of death and this will bring Jack and Billie closer together and have an impact on both girls if and when they wake up. Look for Laura and Bill's run to end at the end of the month."

    Bo/Hope: "Hope will be by Bo's side as he recovers. They return to Salem and will lend support to their families in their time of need. The war story takes a bit of a break but Hope will still be trying to pull Bo away from his alliance with Victor. Christmas is huge for them as they get a big surprise and a shocking confession that will change the course of their future. New Year's will bring the war back to the surface and there will be a stunning turn of events that no one could've predicted. There is also the matter of that confusing memory Bo keeps having, which will build to a huge story in 2007."

    Lucas/Sami/Austin/Will/Alan/Carrie: "Something big happens that will raise the stakes big time in the Alan/Sami story. The threat level will get raised big time in regards to Alan and the question of whether he is a changed man really comes into play. The other question is whether there is more to his friendship with Will. Will has a secret that will be revealed towards the end of the month and that will really accelerate this story into the new year. Also, look for some big progress on the Roman/Sami front. As for Carrie, she will be MIA in the beginning of the month but we will have her around for the holidays. Her story will really build as we go into the new year." Also, look for Sami to try to steer Lucas and Austin away from the Dimera/Kiriakis war."

    Victor/Maggie/Roman/Caroline: "The war will die down so we will see Victor dealing with the aftermath of Sydney and he will play a big role in helping the Brady's through a period of crisis. The tension between Roman and Victor comes to a boil and will explode around New Year's as the war begins to pick up again. Look for Maggie and Victor to grow much closer as the year comes to a close and Caroline is definitely not going to be happy."

    Steve/Kayla: "We are slowly building their story. Steve will have flashes here and there as be begins his trip down memory lane. Christmas and New Year's is happy for them and it will be like love story part two for them. Even with little or no memories, Steve is failling for her all over again."

    Stefano/Lexie/Abe/Celeste: "With the war taking a break, Stefano and Lexie will lie low. The question is has Lexie recovered from her gunshot wound? The fans will learn that early on in December before their story is given a rest. Look for Stefano to resurface towards the end of the month in a big way and things will really spiral out of control. Meanwhile, Abe and Celeste will care for Theo and Celeste will begin to have eerie vibes about a catastrophic New Year's event that will rock Salem..."

    Cal/Katherine: "Cal continues treatment. The fans won't see every step but they will see the major steps that matter here as he tries to remember his life before becoming faux Roman. Katherine will worry that the family and friends he garnered as Roman are interfering with his treatment and will force Cal out of Salem with her to aid in his treatment. That is when sparks will really fly."

    Belle/Philip/Kate: "They will return around mid-December. Philip will be fully recovered and back with Belle but there is more going on here then meets the eye. Look for Philip to get involved in Victor's business with Stefano and he will also be pivotal, along with Belle, to the Roman/Victor dynamic-especially at year's end. Kate will be very much involved in this as well."

    Returns/HoliDAYS Event: "There will be several returns as we approach the holidays. Kimberly will return with her children. We also have Belle and Philip returning (see above) and all the recent Horton returns will stick around through Christmas. Look for Laura, Bill, Melissa, Sarah, Don, Andrew, and Jeannie to ship out of Salem right after Christmas when their runs reach their end but, of course, the door will be open for a return for all of them. Kimberly will remain with the show well into the new year and will be pivotal to Bo's story and all the other goings on in her family. There will also be two BIG surprise returns Christmas week that will be both emotional and stunning. It will be a real nice Christmas gift to the fans I believe."

    -As the floor with Sami’s apartment burns around them, Alan is the first one to regain consciousness. He looks around, barely able to stand, but manages to do just that. He looks down at Sami, who is also coming around, and plots an exit for them as the floor beneath them begins to show signs of buckling.

    Austin & Lucas run up to the apartment building, only to be held back by police. Austin asks if everyone got out safely, to which the police officer responds that there are still two people up on the 21st floor. Lucas turns and gives Austin a very worried look and then says that he hopes no one died because someone decided to play these games once again.

    Abe & Shane arrive at the blast site, long enough to see Alan carrying Sami out of the building......alive. He puts her on a gurney, and Lucas runs up to here, begging that she is ok. He is also worried because Will has not checked in yet and he normally does by this time. Austin stares at Alan and then accuses him of blowing up the top floor of the apartment building. Abe fills Austin and Lucas in on the preliminary investigation, which has shown that a bomb was planted in Sami’s apartment. Lucas becomes livid and attacks Alan, beating him to a pulp.

    -At Salem University Hospital, Jack has just walked back into the cafeteria after checking on Abby. He gets a cup of coffee and sits at a small table, long enough to see the breaking news report about the explosion on television. He thinks to himself “What in the world is going on?! Are we all being targeted?” He is jolted out of his shock by Billie, who has placed her hand on his shoulder and is also watching the report. She remarks how this past week had been a nightmare. She wonders if Chelsea will ever be the same. Jack hopes so, as he hopes the same for Abby. They have a long road ahead of them, he remarks. She agrees, hoping that they both will learn from this and won’t make this mistake again.

    Billie also wonders what her mother was thinking. He says apparently the very same thing Jennifer’s mother was thinking. It’s all about them, as far as he can see, and nobody else matters. He bets, at that very moment, that both of them are plotting how they can use this incident to their advantage. She also agrees on that, saying that she is sick and tired of always having to tell her mother to stop acting like a spoiled brat. No wonder they turned out like they did, she says. Jack can't understand why they thought Billie and him can be more then friends. Billie then reclutantly mentions that maybe that is a possibility. They both look each other and begin to laugh, calling that a joke.

    Jack hopes that, even through all of this mess, they can still be friends. Billie says she would really like that. It’s about time she had a male friend she’s not sleeping with, or who isn’t married or engaged. They both laugh for the first time in a week. They get up, and look silently at each other, and then hold each other as they walk out of the cafeteria and back to their daughter’s bedsides.

    -Outside on the balcony, Bill is still trying to calm Laura down. She feels that she has messed both of these girls lives up pretty badly. Bill tells her this is nowhere near all her fault. He holds her face, looking at her and telling her that at least she will learn from this. He also thinks Kate will use this to her advantage. Laura wipes her face, hoping that the silliness will come to an end with this tragedy. Bill hopes the same thing, but wonders when the children have more sense than the adults, how will things truly end up? He comforts her as she ponders his words. Laura mentions how she wishes she never left the mental institution as she has felt so much pain and caused so much since then. Bill tells her never to say that and that they will get through this...together.

    -Sami regains consciousness long enough to see the fighting that is going on. Alan finally gets a word in edgewise, saying that since he knew Sami would not accept a care package at the hospital, he dropped it off there instead. None of the men believe him, until one officer backs up his story, saying a witness has come forward. When Shane asks what this witness saw, the officer replies that she saw Alan walking around on the street 10 minutes before the explosion and that he went into the building a few moments before Sami entered and everything went up.

    A package is then brought over, which contains chocolates inside a destroyed wrapper. Alan says he bought those for Sami, remembering that she liked them. Lucas and everyone else grows quiet, ashamed that they got it wrong once again. Abe wants a security camera tape to seal the deal, which the officer says is being worked on right now. The fire chief comes over, telling the group that 3 people were found dead and 4 were injured severely. When Sami wonders out loud where Will is, Alan becomes worried, saying that he was in the building at the time of the blast. Sami becomes livid and begins to beat Alan on his chest, demanding to know where her son is.

    -Back at the hospital once again, the Caroline and Greta watch on in horror as the staff work on Eric, working feverishly to save his life. Nicole looks on and thinks about all the wasted time between them. She turns around and walks away. Greta follows, asking her what’s the matter. Nicole says that if she would have put as much effort into being by Eric’s side as she does being a [!@#$%^&*] to everyone, he may not be in this situation. Greta is quiet, basically agreeing with Nicole.

    They both return to the waiting room, just in time to overhear Dr. Rowen tell the family that within 48 hours, Eric may be gone. They don’t know what else to do. The clotting and internal bleeding just may cost him his life and he seems to be developing a life-threatening infection as well. Nicole breaks down in Greta’s arms, begging God for a miracle. Bill & Laura come in and get filled in on what is occurring. Bill suggests that he & Greta do some more research on what’s happening. Greta says she has done enough research to last a damn lifetime but nothing is more important than this, so they both rush off. Caroline turns back around and sees Nicole in Eric’s room. She is holding his hand and rests her head near his, speaking softly into his ear for him to get better and that she isn’t going anywhere.

    -Lucas pulls Sami off of Alan when everyone sees Will walk around the corner. Alan hides. Sami runs up and hugs him, asking what happened. Will tells them when the floor exploded, he was in the elevator. Thank God that it was on the second floor and it collapsed to the basement. Will goes to be looked at by the EMT's, allowing Alan to come out of hiding. Abe & Shane confer with the other officers, who all now agree that Alan is innocent. The camera footage coincides with the time he says he entered the building. Plus, why would Alan stick around after planting a bomb in someone’s apartment?! Austin feels that Alan didn’t do this, no matter how much he wants to believe to the contrary. Lucas agrees, saying that it would be too easy. He would want Sami to suffer. Alan disagrees, saying that he is innocent and that they all need to get off his back.

    The fire chief pulls Abe to the side and tells him that the building is all cleared. Abe thanks him and everyone else and tells the group of the news. When Sami turns to speak to Alan, he’s nowhere to be found. Will returns and asks who Alan is but Sami tells him it's nothing for him to worry about. When Sami asks Abe who could have done this, he looks at Shane and they both say the same name at the same time:

    Stefano DiMera.

    Austin, Will, Lucas & Sami look on horrified as the thought sinks in. From a distance, the Mysterious Cloaked figure looks on, secure in the knowledge of what he/she has done. He/she laughs hysterically as he'she says:

    MCF: This town doesn’t now fear yet. But.....it’s coming. And when I’m through, nothing, or no one, will EVER be the same again.

    The screen slowly fades to black on the group as the mysterious figure watches them.

    INSIDER SPOTLIGHT: DEIDRE HALL (MARLENA) DISHES ON BEING BACK ON SALEM LIVES, HER EXIT LAST SUMMER, AND ON JUST WHAT MAY BE UP WITH SALEM'S BELOVED "DOC."


    Interviewer: Hello, Deidre. How are you?
    Deidre Hall: Hi there. I'm great. It's great to be back to work.

    I: I can imagine. This is a nice way to go into the first question. How did your exit last summer come about and did you always know you would return?
    DH: Well, when the new writing regime started in May of last year, new EP/HW Tim Lowery called me in about a week after he took the job. He told me that they had plans to kill Marlena off for an extended period of time. They felt the character needed to be rested and they asked how I felt. Strangely, I agreed. I felt the Marlena I had been playing since the SSK story in 2003 was not the Marlena the fans want. She was being destroyed little by little. Once I was told that they wanted to rest the character to give the fans time to digest and then bring her back at some point, I was on board because I think it was the best way to create interest and investment in the character again. I always knew I was coming back. They told me I would be back for the Christmas show so I knew it would be a tear-jerker. The return was amazing and so well-written. This regime has been great for all of us and they know the characters so well. They are dedicated to telling great stories but not at the expense of the characters.

    I: EP/HW Tim Lowery told us when you left that he knew you would be back but wasn't sure if the character of Marlena would be back. Did he ever relay that to you?
    DH: I saw that and that could be a number of things. We both agree that the character needs attention and to be repaired. However, he has this great story to tell and it's all top-secret. Is this person we are seeing Marlena? Is she ill? Those are the questions fans are asking and they should be. That comment could've been setting up the story we have now or just saying that the character would change and become, in a way, the old "new" Marlena. We want to bring back the essence of the character, that is if this is Marlena and she is in her right mind.

    I: Tell us about your final scenes. How on earth could Marlena survive that fall into the volcano in July?
    DH: I have no clue. It will be explained along with where Marlena was. Everything will be answered. It's hilarious because those final weeks were surreal. I had played the posession and Salem Stalker/SSK story but the way I had to play Marlena the final 2 and a half months was so different. She was completely out of her mind and evil. It was fun because supernatural or strange reasons were the not the cause of her behavior. It was everything she had been through and it was manipulation and mind control somewhat. There was no brain chip. It was realistic. I loved when they had be blowing up the plane on Morgan Island with so many beloved character on it. That scene reminded me of the posession story when I had to play Marlena throwing her hands in the air after setting St. Luke's in fire. They gave me so much great material to play. I was strangling my daughter, had some great one liners...the scenes I had with Stefano were great. The scenes between me and Drake (Hogestyn, John/Roman), as well as Martha (Madison, Belle) and Ali (Sweeney, Sami) on the volcano before Marlena's "demise" was some of the best writing I ever have had. Those scenes were so emotional . The struggle and angst...John fighting for Marlena to come back to him. The real Marlena. Marlena children being there...wow. At the time, I said what an exit. It couldn't be better.

    I: What did you think of turning John into Roman again?
    DH: I was fine with it. That was one of the reasons why they wanted me off for a bit, not that I minded the vacation time (laughs). They wanted to focus on Roman reclaiming his life on his own before bringing Marlena back into the fold. Marlena's "death" pushed alot of story forward so that is why they did it, primarily. I think it's great and they covered every angle. They reall paid attention to detail from changing Brady's name, to the effect it had on Belle and Shawn, and to the Roman/Sami dynamic. The whole change was handled with care and thought. That is all you can ask for.

    I: Back to your story, can you give us any hints to what is up with Marlena? Yesterday's episode was wild for her!!
    DH: Yes and the bar scenes were so much fun. I felt like I did when I played Hattle in 2004. It was fun and it's been fun since returning. When I first came back to tape my first show back, I thought everything was fine. Marlena was back and she seemed normal but, two episodes later, they are throwing weird hints out there. She is forgetting things, aggressive in the bedroom, snapping at her children, trying to kill Roman...I just said wow. The bar scenes really put it over the top. It was like 'Marlena gone wild" (laughs) I am playing it like she could do anything at any moment. I was happy they had her be remorseful after nearly smothering Roman. I was hoping they would show that side of her as she had been mean and snippy for a bit. I have no idea what is really going on as it's top secret but it's fun taking chances playing her right now. I can't wait to find out what it is.

    I: Could it be something to do with her deceased sister, Samantha? It seems like her moods change...almost like she becomes a different person at times.
    DH: Yes and that is why they told me to play her as being all over the place. We want the fans to guess at it and to think it's one thing and then throw them a curve and make them think differently. Before falling into the volcano, we know that she had emotional issues stemming from her past and that those issues were used to manipulate her. I think it could have alot to do with that. I mean, she was nuts before falling into the volcano so she could be nuts now (laughs). Or, it may not be Marlena at all? (laughs)

    I: How is it working with Roscoe Born (James)?
    DH: Lovely. What a great actor and loving man. I knew of his work and he is even more impressive seeing him work everyday. He has such great work ethic. They really kept his involvement with my character under wraps and the connection is still not really known. It's fun and I can promise that Marlena and James will interact much more.

    I: We have to say goodbye now but, before we do, we want to thank you for joining us and we can end this with any hints you can give us to your story. Have any spoilers?
    DH: Thanks for having me again. It was lovely. Well, my story is top secret. All I can say is that sweeps will be amazing and everything after that will be as well. It's really looking to be a great year for us so stick with us and enjoy!!

    Christie Clark and Paul Kersey (Carrie Brady and Alan Harris): Both actors will return this week after making limited appearances in the past two months. Sources say to expect them to be heavily involved in story, especially during February sweeps.

    Joseph Mascolo and Renee Jones (Stefano Dimera and Lexie Carver): Mascolo, who last appeared on January 4 and Jones, who last appeared in December, will return to the canvas full time next month.

    Tanya Boyd (Celeste Perrault): The recurring actress is back taping once again so expect her to be turning up again very soon.


    GOINGS

    John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis): Aniston will be off the canvas for a brief hiatus. Sources say he will return by mid-February.

    -A worried Hope walks through the door of the Brady Pub just as Caroline comes downstairs. When Hope meets her at the counter, she asks where Bo is. Caroline informs her that Bo isn’t even there. Hope takes a moment to let that comment sink in and then turns and starts walking towards the door, telling Caroline that she will go and find him. Caroline tells her to keep her updated when she finally gets in contact with Bo. Hope shakes her head yes and then rushes out the door.

    As Hope walks out the door, she runs into Roman and Kimberly, who are headed inside. They stop Hope and ask her where is she rushing off to so fast. She tells them that Bo isn’t in his room and with the tension in their marriage and all the pain and tragedy that Bo has been through, she doesn’t want to leave him by himself. Roman can understand that but, he tells her, Bo’s grown. He can take care of himself. Kimberly concurs, also telling Hope that she knows how much of a rebel he is. And, the fact that he always keeps his thoughts and feelings to himself when something is bothering him shouldn’t also be lost on Hope.

    Hope agrees and tells them that she understands what they are saying. But, he has been more closed off than usual and she just can’t let that slide. Hope hopes that they can also see that as well since she loves him so much. Kimberly looks at Roman and then back at Hope and takes a step forward, kissing Hope on the cheek and wishing her luck. Roman does the same and tells Hope to get in touch with him if she can’t find him by sundown so that he can put some men on it. Hope thanks them both and they separate, Roman and Kimberly going into the Pub, and Hope racing off to find Bo.

    As Roman wheels Kimberly into the Pub, he parks her right along side a booth and Caroline walks over, greeting her two oldest children. She asks what they want for dinner and both say bacon and eggs at the same time, which makes Caroline laugh, because they used to do the very same thing when they were kids and always used to like eating breakfast foods for dinner. Roman says:

    Roman: I know that, Ma. That’s why we said it.
    Caroline: Yes, well, you two better eat everything on your plates, instead of having another food fight like you used to, ok?
    Kimberly: Of course, Ma. We’re grown now. We wouldn’t dream of dirtying up your nice floor.

    Roman and Kimberly look at each other and smile as Caroline smiles wryly and leaves to go fix them dinner. Kimberly looks at Roman as they watch her leave and says to him:

    Kimberly: I thought she would never leave. I think she knows something’s up, don’t you?
    Roman: I never had doubted that woman. Even when I wasn’t Roman, she still could tell me what was wrong with me even without me saying a word. I know that’s not about to change now that I am her son again. And, if she knows that about me, and you.......
    Kimberly: Then she knows that something is up with our little brother. I wonder has he made a breakthrough yet?
    Roman: No, he hasn’t. Because if he had, my head would be on a platter right now and he would be holding the ax. Yours too, sis.
    Kimberly: I know that. You don’t have to remind me. I just hope one thing.
    Roman: What’s that?
    Kimberly: That when he does remember, that he won’t hate us........

    Or worse.......hate himself.

    Roman shakes his head slowly as Caroline and a waitress returns with their huge dinner. She puts it down and asks if anything is wrong. Both Roman and Kimberly look at one another and say no. Everything’s just fine. Caroline tells her children that a lie may hold for now but, soon, she will want the truth.......

    And as their mother, she will get it. Caroline walks off to let Kimberly and Roman eat their meal in tension-filled quiet.

    Forty-five minutes later, after Roman and Kimberly are through eating, Kimberly says she can’t take it anymore. It’s not right to keep the truth about Bo from her. She says she’s going in the back and telling Caroline everything. Roman says fine. Go ahead. He’ll sit right out there and watch for Bo and Hope. Kimberly tells him that since their father died he is the man of the family and he isn’t leaving her to do this all by herself. He’s going in there with her, right now.

    Roman sighs deeply and says ok. He’ll do what he needs to do. He just hopes it goes well. He gets up and wheels Kimberly into the kitchen, where they both tell their mother there is something she needs to know about Bo and it can’t wait any longer. Caroline looks scared as she puts down her apron and both Kimberly and Roman look at their mother with fear and worry.

    -At Lucas apartment, both parents are worried sick about Will. It’s been a day and they haven’t heard a word from him. Sami goes and looks out the window of Will’s room and then sits on his bed holding his basketball jersey. She then sees a picture of the two of them at the last Forth Of July parade and she then breaks down slowly. Lucas comes and stands at the doorway and slowly walks over to Sami as she starts crying harder and harder. She then tries to get up so she can go look for her son.

    But, Lucas grabs her. He turns her around and tells her that she is in no shape to go and look for him. She asks Lucas:

    Sami: Are you saying that I can’t go look for my son?!
    Lucas: What I’m saying is with the state you’re in, you may do harm to yourself and more harm to Will. He may have just pulled the same stunt he did when he went to Chicago last summer. He has done things like this before.
    Sami: You think he’s acting out after what I told him about.......my.......
    Lucas: I don’t know, baby. This maybe his way of dealing with it. But.......you do know who your father is, don’t you?
    Sami: Yes, I know. But, he has so much on his plate now. With my mother acting strange and everything between Stefano and Victor and then with Uncle Bo, I just don’t want to give him anymore to worry about.
    Lucas: I know, Sami. But we may have to ask him for more help and soon, ok?
    Sami: (Crying harder) Ok, Lucas. If it’ll bring my baby home......I’ll.....I’ll do whatever I have to.
    Lucas: Good. Now, let’s get you cleaned up, ok?
    Sami: Ok.

    Lucas takes Sami into the bathroom and tries his best to calm her down but even he is beyond worried at what may have happened to his son. He just doesn’t want to show his lady how scared he really is.

    -Meanwhile, at a motel, Will is still bound and gagged and being held at knife point by Alan, who is smoking a cigarette. When Will tries to yell through the binding in his mouth, Alan tells him to shut up or he’ll have to do him like he did his mother. That makes Will violently thrash against his bindings in anger at the thought of what happened between Alan and Sami all those years ago. Alan then walks over to Will, bends down towards him, and whispers into his ear:

    Alan: Be still and very quiet, little boy. Or.........I’ll have no choice but to silence you myself.

    This calms Will down enough to where he stops fighting his restraints. Alan then stands back up and looks down at Will, as the scene slowly dissolves into.......

    Bo, who is walking into Dr. Barbara Harris’s office. He introduces himself and says:

    Bo: Dr Harris, I’m glad you could see me on such short notice.
    Dr. Harris: No problem, Detective. Even though you are a famous man in this city, I guarantee absolute discretion. Patient/doctor confidentiality prohibits me from talking about your case at all. So, if you’ll have a seat, we can get down to business. Bo, what I know is your case history from your doctor here at University Hospital and I want to have you tell me....when did these memories start coming to you and how have you dealt with them?

    Bo proceeds to tell the doctor what has happened up to now. He also tells her that this is bothering him so much, it’s starting to affect his marriage. He loves his wife and children and wants to be the best person he possibly can......for them. But, he knows he has to get past this first.

    The doctor suggests that for this meeting, they try hypnosis. Bo says that he has tried that before and, frankly, is sick of constantly going through the same stuff and not getting anywhere when all is said and done. The doctor tells him that what he is trying to remember is buried deep in his sub-conscious and that may be the only way to bring it out. Bo says ok. He’ll try it one more time but, if it doesn’t work this time, that’s it. No more. The doctor says that’s a deal.

    Meanwhile, back at the motel, Alan walks around the hotel room, staring at Will with an evil gaze. He paces back and forth at the foot of Will’s bed as Will wonders what will come next. He didn’t’ have to wait long as Alan stops dead in his tracks and says that.......


    Alan: I think it’s time that I taught you the same lesson I taught your mother.

    Will’s eyes grow wide with terror as Alan starts to slowly take off his shirt. Back at the doctor’s office, Dr. Harris has been successful in putting Bo under with hypnosis and now she begins to ask him a series of questions. When she asks him if there is someone in his dreams, Bo calmly says yes. At the very same moment, in the motel room, Alan is now partially undressed, telling Will that it will be ok. This won’t hurt one bit. He then unsnaps his pants and smiles sadistically as the scene once again shifts.......

    Back to the doctor’s office, as Bo is now getting more and more agitated. Dr. Harris asks him what is the man doing in his dreams. Bo says that he is walking closer and closer to him, telling him it will be ok. He won’t hurt him. Bo then starts crying, calling out for his father, his brother, his mother & his oldest sister to help him. He tells the man the same thing Will tells Alan after having his mouth piece violently ripped out of his mouth.......

    That he doesn’t want to do this. He wants Alan to leave him alone. Will is crying now as Alan is fully undressed and he walks towards Will in a menacing gesture. He gets on the bed and, after ripping Will’s shirt off, tells him that everything will be just fine. Alan says that he has nothing to worry about and tells him just to relax. This will all be over soon. Will screams out in terror.....

    At the very same moment Bo does. He snaps out of his hypnosis and announces that......

    Bo: I remember. I remember everything. I now know that.........

    My Uncle Eric molested me when I was a child! That bastard molested me! HOW COULD HE DO THAT?! WHY DID HE DO THAT TO ME?!

    Bo is crying hysterically as the scene split-screens, showing him on one side and a crying Will on another, with Alan touching him all over. The camera focuses on the faces of both Bo and Will and then suddenly freeze-frames on their crying faces as the scene slowly fades to black.

    Next Time, On A Very Special Salem Lives....

    Caroline to Roman and Kayla: What do you have to tell me?
    Hope: Where are you, Bo?
    Barbara to Bo: Where are you going?
    Bo to Barbara: There is something I need to do.
    Sami to Lucas: I am telling you something bad is happening right now. I can feel it.
    Will to Alan: GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!!! PLEASE!!

    "A tremendous New Year's tragedy will affect everyone on the canvas," says new head writer Reilly James ( ). "Lives will be lost and many stories will take new and shocking turns. Expect some familiar faces from the past to start trickling in as some other beloved (and some not so beloved) check out of Salem. There will also be a miracle or two and a few weddings."

    Bo/Hope/Billie/Chelsea/Patrick- Chelsea's reckless behavior will have tragic consequences. Bo, Hope, and Billie all butt heads over how to take care of Chelsea. Patrick intervenes and attempts to get through to her by using her obsession for him to his advantage but he very well may end up doing more harm then good.

    Jack/Jen/Frankie- Jack resurfaces and we will learn a shocking truth about his accident and where he has been the last few weeks. It is quite unbelievable. Jen and Frankie grow closer in Jack's absence. Expect Jack to be gone awhile and to go on a long journey to find a cure. That journey may lead to the shocking reveal of a long buried secret.

    John/Marlena/Alex- The whole truth about Alex is revealed in a shocking way. Its a classic Days twist. Marlena begins to get her memory back on New Year's Eve and John will take action to make sure Alex doesn't impede on the progress Marlena is making or on his attempts to get her back.

    Belle/Shawn/Mimi/Phillip- Mimi receives shocking news that changes everything. Shawn learns the truth about Claire as her health continues to fail. Everyone holds out for a miracle but it may just come too late. The big paternity reveal will take Phillip down a shocking path and Belle may end up being the biggest loser in all this.

    Sami/Austin/Carrie/Lucas/Nicole- Nicole and Sami team up to keep Austin and Carrie apart, realizing that one of them has a better shot of landing him with Carrie out of the picture. Austin's takeover plot may cause a huge rift between him and Carrie. Austin may have to choose between his new business and the woman he has always loved. Lucas starts to feel like an outsider and unloved and may turn back to the bottle. Two shocking returns will heat up this story and may very well unite Sami and Carrie.

    Abe/Lexie/Tek/Celeste- Lexie's big secret comes out and it will change the course of the whole Carver family. Lexie's life spirals out of control and may lead her back to her roots. Abe's sight will start to return and he will find comfort from a shocking person....Celeste!!!

    Bonnie/Roman- Tragedy brings these two together and Roman may have finally found that special someone. He is definitely gonna get all he can handle from her. Something big will happen around February that will shake up Roman's life.

    Mickey/Maggie- Maggie is getting her own story that will begin on New Year's Eve. No one will beleive what it is-its a HUGE shocker. She will also be big in Lucas's story too as he is close to giving into temptation.

    Victor/Kate/Caroline/Shawn Sr.- Fate may bring Caroline and Victor together. A big secret about Victor and Caroline is revealed. Victor and Kate both reel from the consequences of the Calire situation. A down and out Kate will leave town for awhile and will come face to face with someone from the past.

    Abby/Max- The aftermath of tragedy brings these two closer. The past between his brother and her mother will play a part in their story.

    Will- Will is going to recast and will become a major part of the teen set. He will come to the aid of a young damsel in distress during the New Year's Eve tragedy.

    Tony- He will return and will be involved with 3 shockers that will shake up all of Salem. Not everything is as it seems with Tony....

However, she will be cast sometime in the future. "We have something in mind for her but we just aren't ready to introduce the character onto the canvas yet. We definitely see potential in bringing her on as some of the hints dropped by the previous regimes have proved intriguing so we plan to use all that. Fans will begin to learn more about Molly and what she is all about at the funeral," says executive producer Ned Yadroc. It should also be noted that the show plans to address the absence of Colin Murphy during the special week as well.

    Days is also proud to announce that the door is being left open for many of these characters to return at a later time. However, one of these characters will stay on after the funeral and will be a recurring player in story for the forseeable future. Stay tuned to see who. All these characters will attend the funeral services and reception, which will air from August 14-18, as previously mentioned. This week will also be pivotal to all the huge stories going on and will open doors to future stories. The returning characters will all be featured, although some more then others since there will be so many. "It was very hard to get people like Jed Allen and Patsy Pease. We will be writing Patsy's condition into story and she is fine with it. We are happy to have her. Lucky for us all these actors had some time available and were able to do this. These returns will be a real treat to long time and new fans alike," enthuses Yadroc.

    Once again to sum up the event, the funeral begins on the August 14 episode of Days and the event will play out until August 18. There will also be a reception too where fans will see these guests interact with current members of the cast. As previously mentioned, one character from the guest list will be remaining after this week for an unspecified period of time but the door will be kept open for the rest of the guests to return in the future. Days has taken steps to hint at a few possible stories during this event so that story possibilities are open for these characters. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS STAR-STUDDED EVENT-IT'S ALL PART OF A AMAZING AUGUST ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES!!!!

    -Greta awaits news on Eric at the hospital. She gets worried as more and more time passes with no news. She asks a nurse and the nurse tells her that there is no word yet. Greta then looks inside the ER and sees some serious looks on the faces of the nurses and doctors. She worries about what this means for Eric. The doctor comes out and Greta asks him if Eric is ok. The doctor says he will be fine but that he can't tell her specifically. Greta says it's ok as she is a friend but the doctor tells her that Eric told him and the nurses specifically to not tell anyone anything about what happened and that he is even there. The doctor tells Greta that she will have to get answers out of him. Greta realizes that isn't going to happen so she will just have to find out on her own. She worries that the secret Eric is hiding is health-related, especially now with him wanting what happened tonight to remain private. She decides to go find his chart and learn the truth on her own.

    -Sami tells Austin, Lucas, and Kate about Carrie's phone call and her whereabouts. She says they better hurry as she sounded very scared on the phone. Lucas and Austin bolt for the door. Sami does too as kate stops her and asks her why she did something nice for her sister. Sami says that Carrie and the baby may be in danger and she cares about them despite what Kate may think. She does have a heart, unlike her. Kate makes a face and Sami and her race to catch up to the guys. On the way up to the mountains, Sami notices how concerned both Lucas and Austin are about Carrie and the baby. Kate quietly mentions to Sami how neither of her sons will ever care that much for her. Sami is clearly jealous and whispers to herself that she isn't even sure if she cares anymore.

    -Carrie wakes up near the debris and notices the bleeding gash on her head. She remembers what happened and wonders where Alan is. She looks under the debris and sees his bloodied hand sticking out. She cries out for him to answer her and moves the debris off him. His head appears cut open so Carrie uses tears a piece of her jacket to cover his head and stop the bleeding. She uses the rest of the jacket to wipe the blood from the gash on her head. She urges Alan to wake up. He finally comes to and asks what happened. Carrie says that after he found her on the phone he ran towards her. Carrie admits being afraid he was going to hurt her but then she saw above her a part of the building about the collapse and he pushes her out of the way. She still managed to cut her head but he took the impact of the debris and she is thankful. Alan says he saw it about to fall apart and knew he had to save her and the baby. Alan then begins to slow down in speaking and passes out. Carrie begs him to wake up and notices he isn't breathing. She begins CPR and urges him to fight to live.

    -Cassie and Chelsea watch the closeness between Max and Abby. Cassie tortures Chelsea with the idea that her best friend has stolen her man. Chelsea refuses to beleive that. Max and Abby come over and say hello. Max tells Chelsea he has been looking for her and that they need to talk. They go to speak alone leaving Cassie with Abby. Abby asks Cassie why she is with Chelsea. She didn't think they knew each other. Cassie says they are getting to know each other very well and says it seems like Abby is doing the same with Max. Abby says Max and her are just close friends. Cassie refuses to beleive that and says it is obvious Abby has a thing for him. She asks Abby if she is going after her best friend's man. Max sits Chelsea down and says that he has no idea what is going on with her or why she has been pushing him away. Chelsea explains she just needs time and space like she told him. Max says he can't put his life on hold when he doesn't know when Chelsea will be ready to pick up where they left off. He asks if something is going on with her to explain all this. Chelsea remembers her rape and Hope being her mother and lies and says no. She just needs time and space. Max says that maybe instead of a little break they should take a permanent break and go their separate ways. She would get her time and space and he could move on and not put everything on hold. Chelsea looks over at Abby and asks what exactly Max is putting on hold. Max says that nothing is going on with Abby and that Abby still considers Chelsea her friend. She would never do that. Max tells Chelsea that breaking up is win-win as they both get what they want. Chelsea says if that is what he wants then fine. Max is surprised she isn't putting up much of a fight. Chelsea says she has alot to deal with and doesn't have the strength to fight right now. Max sees how upset she is and asks her if something is going on. He knows her and he knows she is hiding something and that is why she is pushing him away. Chelsea just tells him to go. He told her what he had to say so he should just go. Max tells Chelsea he will always care about her and be there for her. She tells him goodbye. He leaves and goes to get Abby.

    -Hope and Bo arrive at the hospital. Bo's wound is getting looked at when Hope sees Belle. She asks what she is doing there. Belle says she just came by to empty put her mom's office as her father asked her to. Hope notices she is upset and asks if something is wrong. Shawn then walks in and sees her. Hope sees them looking at each other and asks what is going on. Shawn interupts and says nothing is going on and asks why she is there. Hope tells him what is going on with Bo. Shawn asks why he got into the fight but Hope says nothing about the rape. Bo joins them and Shawn asks him what stupid decision he made now. Hope tells Shawn to calm down, as does Belle. Bo says her can't talk about what is going on right now. Shawn asks him what else is new as he always keeps him and mom out of the loop but not Billie and Chelsea. Bo loses it and asks Shawn what he wants from him. Shawn says I want a real father and a real man to lead this family, not some flip flop who goes back on every promise he ever made to them. Bo is stunned, as is Belle and Hope.

    -Abe, Roman, Cal, Celeste, Nicole, and Stefano are stunned that it seems a body was found. Celeste feels it and says she feels like a part of her is gone. Abe looks at the debris and then takes out a family picture of him, Lexie, and Theo. He tries to hold back the tears.

    Abe: She can't be gone. Not like this. So beautiful...so full of life. Even after everything...God help me I still love her. I still love her !!!! You can't be gone Lexie. Lexie!!!

    Celeste breaks down too and tells Stefano she knows this is his fault. One of his enemies wanted revenge or one of his schemes went awry. She promises to make him pay and to see him dead for this if he did this and she tells him not to tell her he wasn't involved. She can see it on his face. Abe warns him too that he will make him pay for this because it is obvious by the look in his eyes he was involved in this. The EMT's discover the body and say it is the body of a caucasion female. It is not Lexie. Abe, Celeste, and Stefano are relieved. Abe and Celeste still warn Stefano if Lexie is hurt, they are coming after him. Roman says the same and says if Eric did get hurt in the blast, Stefano is a dead man. Nevertheless, if he is involved he will find out and nail him. Stefano is unphases and continues to search for Lexie. Nicole is searching feverishly for Eric. Roman and Cal help her. Roman tells some patrol cops to ask around the area to see if anyone saw someone enter the building and gives them a picture of Eric to show to people. Stefano is searching around, praying Lexie is found. He looks down at the ground and sees a foot. It's Lexie's!!! He calls for help and the EMT's move the debris off of her. Abe, Celeste, Nicole, Cal, and Roman gather around. Stefano asks if she is alive. The EMT responds that she is but barely and she may have internal injuries. They prepare for her transport and Stefano says he is riding in the ambulance. Abe and Celeste refuse to let that happen. Meanwhile, a man that maintains some of the warehouses near the pier is found by some of the officers and brought to Roman. He explains he saw a man that looked just like Eric with a woman with brown hair. They were on the pier around two hours ago. Roman tells Nicole what he learned and she feels relieved but still wants to find him. She heads for the pier to see if he is still there and says she will look around. Roman asks her to call when she finds him. Roman then gets a phone call and is stunned by what he hears. He hangs up as Cal asks him what is wrong. Roman says the warehouse that blew up belonged to Victor Kiriakis. Cal asks what that means. Roman wonders if Victor is involved. The EMT's pack up Lexie and put her on the ambulance. Stefano says he is getting on with his daughter. He pushes ahead and gets on, shutting the door behind him. Abe is furious but Celeste tells him they should just get to the hospital. Roman and Cal fill Abe in on what they found out and tell him they will head to the hospital with him. In the ambulance, Stefano begs Lexie to survive.

    -Nicole arrives at the pier and can't find Eric. She wonders where he is and if this has something to do with his secret.

    -Greta is looking for Eric's doctor and hopes he leads her to his chart when she bumps into Bo, Hope, Belle, and Shawn. She notices the tension and asks if everything is alright. Bo sarcastically says it couldn't be better.

    -At Salem Place, Max walks back over to Abby and asks if she is ok. Abby says she is fine and asks if everything went well. Max says as best as it could. Abby asks if Chelsea needs her. Max thinks it is best if she leave her alone for now. They say goodbye to Cassie and walk away. Cassie reminds Abby she never did answer her question. Abby responds no. Cassie doesn't buy it. Max asks what that was about as Abby tells him to nevermind. Cassie walks over to Chelsea and they watch Max and Abby walk away, with his arm around her. Cassie tells Chelsea they have a bond that grows stronger by the way and that no one seems to want her. Max doesn't and niether does Salem as half of the town hates her. Cassie says that Chelsea must want to keet the truth from Hope because she is afraid Hope won't want her either since no one wants her or her slutty self anyway. Chelsea has had enough and lunges for Chelsea. Both woman fall to the ground and a catfight ensues.

    -Sami, Austin, Lucas, and Kate pull up at a location near where Carrie told Sami. They see a gas station up ahead and decide to stop and ask if anyone saw Carrie. They pull up and look around and notice it seems abandoned. Lucas sees that part of the building even collapsed. Sami looks near the debris and sees a jacket and a pool of blood. Austin, Lucas, and Kate see it and wonder what happened. Sami remembers the phone call and then having the call go dead. She sees the pay phone very close to the debris and wonders if something bad happened to Carrie. They all look at the blood, debris, and torn jacket and wonder what to do next.

    -Greta, Hope, Bo, Shawn, and Belle are all in the ER when Abe, Roman, Celeste, and Cal show up. Hope asks what they are doing there. Abe explains the explosion and what happened to Lexie. Bo asks what warehouse it was. Roman says it belongs to Victor. Bo asks if it was accidental. Roman explains the place was rigged to blow up. Shawn asks why anyone would rig a warehouse to blow. Abe says they would if they were laying a trap for someone and had targeted someone. Belle ask who could the target be. Everyone then turns and sees Lexie rushed into the ER and are stunned to see Stefano run in behind her. The doctor tells Stefano to wait outside and that they will take good care of Dr. Carver. He turns around and comes faces to face with some of his enemies. Bo is furious and lunges at him as Roman holds him back. The rest of them soak in the fact that Stefano has returned as a composed, but worried, Stefano looks on. The screen then fades to black and the credits roll.

    On the Next "Salem Lives:"

    Sami to Roman: You need to get up here right now...it's Carrie.
    Shawn to Belle: It's over...we're over. Accept it.
    Celeste to Abe: I feel this is only the beginning...something bigger is brewing.
    Stefano to Cassie: Whoever did this will pay.
    Cassie to Stefano: And I will help you.
    Bo to Hope: It''s all gone..our family, marriage...everything we have built is in shambles.
    Chelsea: Maybe it's not worth changing...maybe I am better off being bad.
    Julie: Maggie needs our help and I have an idea.
    Maggie: My life is over...maybe I will just drink until I die.

    -Max shows up in Abby's room. He is relieved to see her awake and says there is something important they need to discuss. It's something he has felt and wanted to tell her for so long and he doesn't want to wait any longer. Abby says she needs to talk to him too. After all that is happened, this can't wait any longer and she doesn't want to play games anymore. It's time to come clean.

    Abby admits to Max how her acting out was mostly a ploy to get his attention and the more it worked the more she did it. Plus, he was falling for Cassie, who has a bit of a wild streak so she figured this would make her more appealing to him. Max asks why she would do all that and Abby says that is what she needs to talk to him about. They are interupted by a nurse, who says to Max that his grandmother needs him. They are saying goodbye to Eric.

    -Frankie follows Cassie, who races to Abby's room to spy on Max and Abby and stop Max from confessing his feelings. Frankie realizes he needs to do something so he goes to a supply closet and whispers Cassie's name. A suspicious Cassie slowly walks over to the closet. Frankie grabs her, shoves her in. and closes the door. She is locked in and screaming for help. Frankie hopes he bought Max enough time.

    -The helicopter flies over the crash sight. Sami notices that there is wreckage down there and demands that Shane land the plane so they can check it out. Shane tells her it maybe anything but she says that she is not going to leave her father down there to die all alone. Shane is shocked by this, knowing that Sami has hated Roman for a long time. But, when he turns to talk to her once again, she has a gun pointed in his face. She tells him to tell the pilot to land the plane - or she’ll land it herself. Shane tells the pilot to land.

    Shane: (Walking up to Sami) We have looked over every inch of this wreckage. There is no sign of any bodies at all. They must have gotten out before the helicopter went down. Now, if you would be so kind as to put that gun away, young lady?

    Sami slowly puts the gun back into her purse and humbly says:

    Sami: I’m so sorry, Uncle Shane. I was desperate and wasn’t in my right mind. It’s just........

    Her voice trails off.

    Shane: I know. You want to find Roman. We are going to do everything we can.
    Sami: I know, and I want to help. Look, we still have the walkie-talkies in the copter, right?
    Shane: Yes. We’re going to use those in the search.
    Sami: Well.........give me one. I need to do this. I need to help find him.

    Shane looks on warily.

    Sami: You don’t understand. I love him. I love him so much. He’s such a special man with everything he’s been through. My mother’s death, Eric’s illness, having his past with his family stolen from him. And now, he’s out there, all alone. (She turns and looks into the dark wilderness) Well, I can’t leave him out there to die.........just when I’ve found him again. (Turning back towards Shane) So, if you don’t want me to pull that gun out again, please, for his sake, please let me look for him, ok?
    Shane: (After a pause) Alright. Against my better judgement, go and get one of the devices and start off. But, you stay in constant contact the whole time, understood young lady?
    Sami: (Smiling) Yes, Uncle Shane. Thank you.

    She hugs him quickly, goes to the copter to get a walkie-talkie, and runs off into the dark night to find her father.


    -Dr. Rowen tells everyone they should say their goodbyes to Eric now. Time is running out fast. Caroline is still hopeful for a miracle as Victor comforts her. Frankie and Max both say their goodbyes to him. Max then tells Frankie to page him if there is more trouble. He is going back to Abby. Frankie says ok but doesn't mention anything about Cassie. Kayla, Caroline, Hope, Austin, Lucas, Will, Abe, and Belle all say their goodbyes to Eric. Greta then goes in too and says a heartfelt goodbye. Eric and Nicole both thank her and Victor for their help.

    Philip comforts Belle as Victor comforts Caroline. Austin, Lucas, and Will are worried about Sami. Abe says they have people on it and, hopefully, it will all work out. Caroline hopes so as the family can't bare to lose Sami and Shane could be Eric's last hope, as well as Roman's. They all wonder where Bo went. Frankie says he went to run an errand. Caroline says he should be here with his family.

    -Meanwhile, Bo is at the pier and he turns around. He asks whoever he is talking to how this could happen.

    -Nicole is in Eric's room by his side when he grabs her hand lightly and says he knows she has given up hope and he has too. He tells Nicole it's time to say goodbye.

    -Steve comforts Kayla over Eric. Kayla is then stunned when she sees Stephanie (played by Shayna Rose) race off the elevator and into her arms. Caroline, Frankie, and Hope all embrace her. She says she came when she heard about Eric and now she heard about Sami and Roman being missing. She hopes they will be ok. However, she also came because of her mother and father being found and brought home.

    Kayla turns her around and tells her to meet her father. Stephanie, with tears in her eyes, calls Steve "daddy." Something clicks in Steve and he begins to cry as he says "this must be my little girl." They embrace as everyone around them is happy to see this emotional reunion. Steve says it looks like they will be having their first Christmas as a family. Kayla and Stephanie agree. Steve says he will do his best but he warns them not to expect much from him. They both understand and vow to help him recover his life and memories and to make this a memorable Christmas. They all three embrace.

    -Hope is called to Chelsea's room. Chelsea, remembering her vow to turn her life around and also recalling Greta's words, is preparing to tell Hope the truth. Hope arrives and asks Chelsea what's going on.

    -After nearly a half hour in the freezing night, Sami is starting to lose hope. She keeps calling out Roman’s name but she gets no response. She has been in contact with Shane but he nor the search party haven’t found a thing. The snow is getting deeper and she is becoming more and more desperate.

    Then, about 25 minutes later, she sees a dim light in the distance. She is freezing herself by now and she hopes that this is some type of cabin or shelter where she can get warm before she starts back out again. She comes upon the shelter, which she now seems is a boathouse on a lake and finds the door. When she gets the door open, she walks in and looks around for somewhere to sit. When she walks around the boat to the other side, she sees someone lying next to the foot of the boat. She rushes over and kneels down and shakes the man. When he doesn’t answer, she turns him over to reveal........

    Her father, Roman.

    Sami: Daddy! Daddy? Oh God, thank you. Thank you so much.

    She starts crying tears of joy. She is overcome with emotion. She holds this man tightly and tries with all her strength to stop crying but she realizes that she has never been this happy in her entire life. She rocks back and forth while holding him, thanking God over and over again.

    Slowly, she notices that Roman is starting to come to. She holds his face in her arms and says:

    Sami: Daddy? Daddy, can you hear me? It’s Sami.
    Roman: (Quietly speaking) Sami........Sami, is that you?
    Sami: Yes. Yes it’s me.
    Roman: Where am I?
    Sami: In a boathouse near a lake. The helicopter you were flying in crashed. You must have wandered here to find some type of shelter. Uncle Shane and I came looking for you.
    Roman: (Regaining his bearings slowly) Shane let you come out in this?! That’s his tail when I see him.
    Sami: Well, it really wasn’t his idea.

    Roman looks slowly at her and ask:

    Roman: What does that mean?
    Sami: Well, see, I kinda stole Abe's gun, and.......I sorta held him at gunpoint until he let me come along and search for you.

    Roman stares at her in shock.

    Sami: Like father, like daughter, I guess.

    They both laugh at that statement. Then, they slowly stop laughing and look at each other. Roman starts to smile at Sami and she slowly bends down and kisses him on his forehead. He slowly sits up and then stands up and takes her in his arms. He looks at her and then gives her the biggest hug she has ever received from him. She responds and they hold each other tightly. All of the years of pain, anger and hurt feelings start to wash away in this embrace. What Sami doesn’t know is that Roman is crying also, so very glad that he can express love to this young lady once again.

    Roman pulls back slightly, wipes the tears from his face and says:

    Roman: Thank you. Thank you so much for coming out here and looking for me.
    Sami: It was the least I could do. I mean after all......you were the one who taught me the value of love. I’m just so sorry I had forgotten that over all these years.
    Roman: Well, life will teach us to grow up sooner or later. (Looking down at her hand) You have a walkie-talkie. Great. Let me see this. (Calling to Shane) Governor, Governor....this is Roman. Sami found me and I’m alright. (He tries to stand) Well, except for my leg, I’m alright.
    Shane: (Over the device) That’s great! It’s good to hear your voice!
    Roman: Yours to, Shane. We are both in a boat house on a lake going due west. Just follow Sami’s footsteps and you should make it here.
    Shane: Understood. We’ll see you ASAP. Over and out.
    Roman: See you then.

    Roman sits back down, and Sami starts dressing his wound with supplies she found in the boathouse.

    Sami: Well, it’s not too bad but you do need medical attention.
    Roman: Yeah, I know. It’s good you still remember how to do this.
    Sami: Yeah, well, you taught me how to take care of myself if I ever got stranded somewhere by myself. (Looking at him) You taught me a lot of things. I’ve just been too stupid and hateful to realize that.
    Roman: Look, after what happened between me and your mother at Titan all those years ago, it’s no wonder why you felt this way. It doesn’t excuse any of the crap you did to everyone but, it does explain it a little bit.
    Sami: I know. I just feel so ashamed. Always blaming everyone else for what I did. Mom, Carrie, Austin, Kate, Lucas, and, especially, you. Eric is dying and you risked your life over and over again just to save him and all I can do is have people tell me how much they hate me. (She bows her head) I feel so alone, Daddy and it’s no one’s fault but my own. (Looking at Roman) I lay in my bed and cry myself to sleep every night, blaming myself for how badly I messed up my life and I pushed you away. I pushed away the one man whose done nothing but love me my whole life. (Grabbing his arm, crying) Oh Daddy!! Please...please forgive me for all the horrible things I’ve done. I don’t want you to be mad at me anymore. Please don’t be mad at me, daddy.
    Roman: (Putting his arm around her and hugging her) Oh, my sweet, precious little baby. (Rocking back and forth) There is no way I could ever stay mad at you. I have loved you from the moment I held you in my arms. You are so very precious to me. (Kissing her forehead) Don’t you ever doubt my love for you, ok? We are going to get through all of this together and you are going to be the lady I’ve always thought you could be and you know something else? (Holding her chin up) Your mother would be so, so very proud of you right now.
    Sami: She would?
    Roman: Oh, yes. Her little girl came out in a snowstorm to find her daddy, without any thought to her own safety. Now how can you think she’s not looking down on you and smiling right now, hmm?
    Sami: Thank you. It feels so good to hear you say that.
    Roman: I say that because it’s the truth. Now (Standing up with Sami’s help) We have to go outside and wait for Shane to get here. Do me a favor and grab that box over there. It’s the medicine for Eric.
    Sami: Ok, Daddy. Here. Why don’t you lean on me and I’ll help you.
    Roman: (Pausing) That was one of your mother’s favorite songs. Lean On Me.
    Sami: Really? Well, why don’t we lean on each other. I think she would really like that.
    Roman: Yes, yes she would.

    Sami helps Roman walk out of the boathouse. After a few moments, they both see flashlights in the distance. They walk towards the lights and, it’s not only Shane, but the pilot and the search party. They greet each other:

    Shane: Hell of a night to be out in this, huh?
    Roman: Sure is. Thanks Shane for coming out in this garbage to find me.
    Shane: No problem. I think you better send this young lady to the academy, Roman.
    Roman: Oh. Why is that?
    Shane: Well, she held a gun on me and threatened to shoot me if I didn’t let her come with me and help look for you and then, she finds you all by herself.
    Roman: (Looking at Sami) I know. She’s one hell of a lady.........and one hell of a daughter.

    Sami gives off a huge grin.

    Roman: Aye, let’s get out of this mess. Time’s wasting and Eric needs this stuff if he’s going to survive.
    Shane: You bet. (Taking Roman under his other arm) Let’s go.

    -Max returns to Abby and says he is ready to pick up where they left off. Abby says there was a reason why she wanted his attention and did what she did. Max says he thinks he already knows. Frankie told him a good deal. Abby is mad that he did but Max says he is glad.

    Max: Abby, we have been through alot these past few months. I know I have let you down a bit and I will be sure to make up for that. Since I came to Salem, you have been a good friend but, over time, I realized something. Well, I guess it took almost losing you that night at the bridge and seeing you here fighting for your life. Whatever. All I know is I have realized now that what I feel for you is more then friendship...much much more. Abby, I dream of you all the time and I think and care about you more then any other girl I have ever been with. Abby, I think what I feel for you is too strong to be a simple friendship and I think it is something we need to explore. (Looks at Abby) You know what? I shouldn't have done this. It's too much to lay on you and...
    Abby: No. No, it's not. Max...I have wanted to tell you how I feel for months. I have always cared about you but the island, my mom's death, and...you were there. Somewhere, through it all, my feelings for you grew to be more. I feel the same way as you and I think we need to give ourselves a shot at becoming something bigger then what we are now. I'm not sure if it's love...the kind of love my parents had or that Bo and Hope and others have but we need to try. We need to see what it can be and if there is a long future in store for us.
    Max: I agree. So...I guess we're...
    Abby (smiling): Dating? Boyfriend and girlfriend?
    Max: Yeah...yeah I guess that is what we are.

    Max leans in and kisses her on the cheek and they embrace. A nurse lets an angry Cassie out of the closet. Cassie ignores the nurse's questions about why she is in there and looks into Abby's room to see her and Max in an embrace. Cassie realizes she is too late and is heartbroken but vows this is far from over.

    -Hope sits down and asks Chelsea again what is going on. Chelsea says there is something she needs to know. Something she has kept hidden for awhile. She was being selfish in that she was afraid of the aftermath but also thought she was doing what was best. She now knows she needs to tell all and she wants to turn her life around and this is a start. Hope just tells her to speak. Chelsea says she is gald Hope and her came to an understanding over Zach's death on the island and when they got him and that they can be civil now. Hope asks why and wants to know what is going on.

    Chelsea: Hope...this is about my parents...
    Hope: What are you trying to get them together again? Chelsea?!
    Chelsea: No!! It's not that. I found out something on the island and, when I got back to Salem, I had DNA tests done and I have the proof and everything and...
    Hope: The island...DNA tests...what the hell is going on and what does it have to do with me and your parents?
    Chelsea: That's just it.
    Hope: What?
    Chelsea: What you called Bo and Billie...
    Hope: Your parents? That is what they...
    Chelsea: No, they're not. I found out on the island and the DNA tests proved it. Bo and Billie are not my parents.
    Hope: What are you...I don't..
    Chelsea: I don't know who my father is but I know who my mother is...
    Hope: Chelsea...I don't...
    Chelsea (with tears welling in her eyes): Hope...your my mother. The tests proved it. Your my mother, not Billie.

    The screen frezzes on a stunned Hope's face and then fades out.

    On the next Salem Lives...

    Sami to Roman: We need to hurry. Eric is running out of time.
    Nicole to Eric: Hold on, damnit!!! Don't die on me, not now!!!
    Alan (turning around): What are you doing here?
    Kimberly (as Caroline and Frankie turn around): I'm home!!!
    Chelsea to Hope: It's true. Your my mother.
    Hope to Chelsea: The question now is what do we do now?

    -Eric comes home from work and says a loud hello as he enters their suite. He then realizes after a few moments that Nicole isn’t home. He starts unwinding from his day when he hears the door opening. It’s Nicole and she isn’t in a good mood. After they greet each other with a kiss, she tells him how she was looking once again for a job but now it seems like one has to know someone or be related to someone to find something that isn’t flipping burgers.

    Eric tells her that it is a noble profession. It’s what got him through high school in Colorado. Nicole asks why he had to do that with a famous father as a police commander. Eric says the he and Sami were staying with their grandparents and he didn’t want to bother his father, who was still getting over the death of their mother. Of course, he says, she wasn’t dead, but that’s another story for another time. He then smiles at her, saying that he has a proposition.

    He knows how upset she has been with everything that has happened and what she had to give up for him. He has made reservations at Green Mountain Lodge as a big Valentine’s Day present for her. It is also to tell her how much he loves and respects her and appreciates her taking him back after the foolish mistakes that he’s made. Nicole stands and walks towards the window. Eric follows and says that it is there if she wants to go.

    She is reluctant but soon warms to the idea. She says they both could use the break from everything and everyone here in Salem. Eric smiles, happy that she accepted. Nicole pastes a half smile on her face and turns around to kiss Eric once again. After they do, he starts telling her about how exciting it is to work at Roberts & Associates, which causes her smile to disappear quickly. Eric goes into the bathroom and takes a shower, going on about his job and, unaware that Nicole is once again depressed.

    -Back out at the cabin, Alan walks up to the cabin door and opens it up. He calls out to Carrie and, as he closes the door, calls out again. When she doesn’t answer, he gets worried and starts going through the cabin. He runs through looking for her and then happens to look down to see her unconscious on the floor. He picks her up, hoping she is alright, and takes her into the bedroom. Once he places her on the bed, Carrie starts to stir but then places her hands on her stomach, saying that the baby is on the way.

    He asks what she needs and Carrie instructs him on what items to get. Alan is now a madman running back and forth through the cabin, getting everything she may need to give birth. Once he gets back into her bedroom, he gets his cell phone and tries calling her doctor from the clinic at home and at his office but gets his voice mail both times. He gets frantic, telling Carrie that he can’t reach her doctor. Another contraction wracks Carrie with unimaginable pain but it soon subsides. She then looks up at Alan, sweating and out of breath, and tells him news that he already knows.......

    That he will have to deliver her baby. They both stare at each other as Carrie starts breathing heavy once again and Alan looks off into the distance, terrified at what he must now do to save their lives.

    -On the highways of Illinois, Roman is racing through the night at a dangerous pace. Samantha, Lucas, Austin & Kate are in the car with him, as Shane, Abe and two officers follow behind. Sami turns to her father and sees the look of terror and desperation on his face. She fights back tears as she tells him....

    Sami: Daddy, this is not your fault. Don’t beat yourself up about this. And please.....(Placing her hand on his forearm) you have got to slow down before you get us all killed.

    Roman glances at Sami, then looks over at her. He silently hears her words and starts to slow down on the cold, slick highway. Kate, Austin & Lucas give a silent sigh of relief as Roman tells Sami.......

    Roman: Thank you, baby. You know this is driving me crazy. My child is out here all by herself with that madman and I don’t know what he could do to her.
    Sami: Then that’s why we’re heading up there. So we can see for ourselves and bring Carrie home, ok?
    Roman: Ok, sweetheart.

    Sami turns back and looks straight ahead as the car dissolves into the car behind them. Abe tells Shane that he should know what this means. Shane says he knows. He still can’t believe he let Carrie talk him into keeping everything a secret from her family. He also says that he hopes that the Brady's can see what he was up against and find it in their hearts to forgive him. Abe tells him, in a stern tone, that what the Bradys are feeling is the least of his problems. Shane asks what does he means. Abe informs him that he broke several laws by withholding this information and if Carrie or the baby doesn’t survive.......

    His career as an I.S.A. agent just might be over and he may be looking at some serious jail time. Well, Shane says, lets worry about that later. Right now, the only thing that is important is getting to Carrie and making sure Alan spends the rest of his days locked up behind bars. Abe turns to him and tells him that he better hope they aren’t cell mates. Shane looks at Abe and then slowly and silently turns back to focus on the road ahead, hoping that his niece will be alright and caring nothing for himself in this matter.

    Inside the cabin, Alan slowly stands up and walks around the bed to Carrie’s side. They look at each other and then Alan slowly bends down........and places her newborn son into her arms. Carrie looks into his baby blue eyes and softly rocks him back and forth. Alan walks into the bathroom and washes his hands. He lets out a sigh of relief, proud of the fact that he helped Carrie through this alright. Back in the bedroom, Carrie stares at her son, trying not to let the tears flow. She marvels at the life she brought into the world and starts to talk to him, telling him that.....

    Carrie: I didn’t want this for you. Oh my, you are so very precious to me. The most important person in the world. But........I can’t keep you. (Crying) One of two very fine men could be your daddy and to keep from ruining everyone’s lives, I have to let you go. Oh....this is not what I want. And, I hope and pray you find it in your heart to forgive me when you get older. But always know this, my sweet, precious little boy........I love you more than life itself. I’m doing this because you will have a much better life with people who will also love you like their own. I hope you know that, my wonderful boy. Oh, how I love you so........

    Carrie wipes away the tears from her eyes as Alan walks back into the bedroom. He looks down at her but she keeps staring at her son. Alan bends down and softly tells her that now is the time. As much as it kills her, she has to let him go. Carrie looks up at Alan slowly and, with tears once again streaming down her face, she tells him that.....

    Carrie: I’ll never be able to let him go.

    Carrie then slowly puts her son into Alan’s arms and kisses him on his forehead, telling him over and over again that Mommy loves him. Alan slowly stands up and takes the baby out of the bedroom and into the living room as he bundles the baby. He then puts his coat on and prepares to take the baby away, as Carrie instructed. As he finishes getting ready, he hears the sound of cars coming closer and closer. He goes and looks out the window and sees two police cruisers headed in the direction of the cabin. He turns around suddenly and takes a moment to take everything in and then goes to the bedroom to warn Carrie about the company they are about to receive.

    Carrie looks at Alan, who has a terrified look on his face, and asks him what is wrong. He stutters at first and then blurts out that the police are coming down the road. Carrie is stunned and she rationalizes that Shane must have told her family where she was . Alan asks what are they going to do. Just then they hear cars screeching outside. They both stare at each other in shock.

    Abe, Shane, Roman, Sami, Lucas, Austin, and Kate arrive at the cabin, unaware of what has transpired inside. Roman races up to the door after jumping from the car, with everyone following him. Abe has the officers surround the cabin. Shane runs to the back as Lucas & Austin stand behind Roman. Roman pulls out a walkie-talkie and coordinates with Abe & Shane. When Abe gives the word, Roman bursts through the door and, with his gun drawn, calls out and searches for his daughter.

    He looks around and then turns to the bedroom, where he sees her laying in her bed, losing consciousness. Roman calls out to everyone that Carrie has been found and Sami, Lucas & Austin rush into the bedroom to comfort Carrie as Abe, Shane & Kate look on from the doorway. Abe then turns and walks away, ordering the two officers with him to search high and low for Carrie’s baby. Kate stares at Shane with cold anger as Sami lays down on the side of her sister and cradles her head, wiping the sweat from her brow. Roman tells Lucas & Austin to call for paramedics and tells them to hurry.

    Roman then gets up and slowly walks over to Shane. He then stares at him and, with his rage barely concealed, tells him that if Alan gets away with Carrie’s baby not only is their friendship over,.....he will make sure that Shane ends up in jail for what he kept from his family. Shane looks at Roman with sorrow in his eyes as the scene slowly dissolves to......

    Outside the cabin, in the woods, as Alan holds Carrie’s son in his arms and looks at the police officers who are now searching for him. He sees them getting closer and closer and says to himself that he hopes he can make a break for it.....before he ends up back in prison.

    -Back at Alice’s home, Doug, Julie, and Alice sit back and talk about Maggie. Julie remarks how she is afraid she may have fallen off the wagon again and that it is once again gotten out of control. Doug asks that they don't know that but Julie insists it's a feeling she has. Doug asks what they are going to do this time, if she is drinking.

    Alice says she doesn’t know about anything yet but does know that if nothing else, they better find her right now and bring her over before she does some serious damage to herself or someone else, just in case she is turning back to the bottle. They need to be sure and they haven't seen her much so they need see for themselves that she is alright. Both Doug and Julie agree and, with Doug volunteering to go look for her, Julie stands up and tells him that maybe it would be better for her to look. Doug asks if she’s sure and she smiles, saying that it’s better that way.

    Doug agrees and says he’ll stay with Alice while she’s gone. They kiss and Julie rushes out. Sometime later, Julie gets to Maggie’s restaurant and goes up to the front door. She uses the spare key that Maggie gave her awhile ago to get in. When she calmly walks through the doors, she turns towards the bar where she finds Maggie.......almost passed out drunk, sitting on a barstool and drinking Vodka from the bottle straight.

    Julie runs up to her and snatches the bottle from her. Maggie laughs, telling her it’s too late, she’s already nice and bombed. Maggie then tries to stand and almost falls out of the chair. Julie catches her and tells her about how she is destroying her life. She then asks her, while holding her by the chin, would Victor want her in such a condition. Maggie says that it really doesn’t matter in the least.......

    Since Victor is alive anyway. Maggie passes out in Julie’s arms, while Julie stands holding Maggie in utter shock at the news that Victor survived.....and is alive and well.

    -In a high-rise futuristic office building in a big, metropolitan city, a very powerful businessman has just been told by his secretary that the man he has been waiting for is now here. He tells her to show him in and then tells her that she is done for the day and to have a great evening. She smiles and tells him to do the same. The man enters the businessman’s office and they shake hands. The businessman offers the other man a drink, witch the other man declines. Then, the businessman says, lets get down to brass taxes, shall we?

    Businessman: So, did you find that information that I wanted?
    Man: Yes, sir. Stefano DiMera is once again in hiding. We have a pretty good idea of what part of the country he’s in but can’t pinpoint him. He is one crafty devil, sir.
    Businessman: Yes, yes I know. He wouldn’t have gotten away with what he did to my family for all these years if he wasn’t. Now, like I told you, I just want you to locate him. When you do, you contact me.
    Man: Yes, sir. Will do. And Victor Kiriakis?
    Businessman: He’s a family friend. He and my daddy went way back. He’s also a man who definitely doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty when the situation calls for it. And neither do I.
    Man: I understand. Well, we just leave Kiriakis alone....
    Businessman: For now. If he needs to reach me or my brother, he knows where he can find us. Plus you don’t exactly where he is, do you?
    Man: Honestly....no sir. (Smiling) He’s just as crafty as DiMera.
    Businessman: True, but it’s DiMera I want. Find him........and keep it quiet. You report directly to me. My brother isn’t to know a thing until I’m ready for him to know, got that?
    Man: Yes, sir. Understood. I’ll get right back on it.
    Businessman: Excellent.

    The businessman walks the man to the door, shakes his hand, and wishes him luck. He closes the door and then turns around, walking to the window. He stands in front of it, looking out into the night city skyline, and makes a vow, a vow promising that......

    Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy): Whatever I do, or whatever it costs me........I will make Stefano DiMera pay for killing my father.

    Bobby the picks up his drink and takes a sip, as the scene dissolves into........

    A condo safehouse, in another major metropolitan city. Stefano is there, with Alexandra, and they are sitting down to dinner. One of his lieutenants comes into the dining room and whispers into Stefano’s ear. He excuses himself and goes into his private chambers to converse with this man. This person tells him that the MCF that has infiltrated their family has been a very busy person. When Stefano asks about the damage he’s done, the man tells him that every single piece of information on John Black is now missing. Stefano asks if the briefcase is also missing, to which the man shakes his head yes.

    Stefano looks on in shock, saying that everything in that briefcase proves that John Black is really Roman Brady. The names of the doctors who performed plastic surgery, the psychologists who wiped out most of his memory, and the mercenaries who retrained him. If Roman gets his hands on that information......Stefano may actually go to jail for the rest of his life. His lieutenant also tells him that this is the same person who blew up Samantha Brady’s apartment, trying to put the blame on Stefano, and who was with them during the shoot out on New Year’s Eve. He tells his henchman to prepare everything and everyone...they are returning to Salem, so that he can help his daughter with some personal issues.

    Stefano also tells his henchman to redouble their efforts. They must find this person before he/she does more damage. As the man walks out, Stefano turns and sees Lexie standing there. She has overheard everything. When Stefano walks over to her, she tells him that she no longer cares what he has to do. Everyone in Salem, including her former husband, are now enemies of the DiMera family. And they will all suffer for what they have done to her......and her father. He hugs his daughter, promising that he will get back everything that belongs to both of them, including her son, Theo. She pulls away slightly and smiles, saying how happy she is at that news. They hug once again as Stefano’s face turns to a look of concern. It now fades into.......

    A mansion on the coast. Victor Kiriakis is standing on the balcony, looking out into the ocean, and holding a glass of Brandy. An operative of his enters his spacious bedroom, informing him that the information he requested is now there. Victor tells him that was great work. He then says that he wants all of his men to redouble their efforts to find this person responsible for his supposed “death” and that little game he/she played when they called the police, Hope, and the I.S.A. to inform them on his & Bo’s whereabouts. He then asks, by the way, how is his son doing. The operative says that Nico has reported back in and says that Bo is doing fine. Good, good, Victor says.

    As long as he is doing well, that is one thing to be grateful for. But, as God as his witness, he will not rest until this MCF is found......and dealt with once and for all. He takes another sip form his glass, as the scene splits into three separate vertical boxes.

    One, on the left side, with Stefano tuning his head and looking to his left, as Lexie stands behind him, Victor on the right side of the screen, looking to his left........

    And the Mysterious Cloaked Figure in the middle. The scene freeze-frames as the scene slowly fades to black.

    On the Next Salem Lives...

    Julie: I think I know just the thing to help you, Maggie.
    Belle to Philip: Go to hell.
    Philip to Belle: I don't think so, Izzy. You are the one that's going to be in Hell.
    Roman to Carrie: We'll find your baby.
    Carrie to Roman: No!! Don't!!
    Alan: How the hell do I get out of here with you, kid?

    -Cassie is wheeled into the ER after the fall she took. Dr. Glancy rushes in behind her as nurses try to stabilize her. Abby, Chelsea & Max wait outside the ER room and observe everything through the window. Abby turns her wheelchair around and rolls away, unable to watch the medical staff work on an unconscious Cassie. Max and Chelsea try to piece together the events that led up to the incident. Max then hopes and prays that the baby is ok. Chelsea tries her best not to smile, knowing that even though she hates Cassie there is an innocent life at stake. Abby feels nothing but guilt at this point.

    Chelsea then starts worrying how, if Cassie regains consciousness, will she work this to curry favor with Max? As she walks up and places her hand on Max’s shoulder, he observes the medical crew still working to save Cassie’s life and the life of her baby. Cassie slowly regains consciousness and then starts calling out for Max. Dr. Glancy looks out at him and signals him to come into the ER room. Max slowly walks into the room and takes Cassie’s hand, asking her how this all happened. She looks up at him and gently whispers “Abby.....” before grabbing her stomach in pain and passing out once again.

    Chelsea walks back over to Abby, who worries that she will take the blame for this whole thing. Chelsea doesn’t see that. She tells Abby that, as far as she’s concerned, Cassie got exactly what’s coming to her. Abby just shakes her head, hoping that everything will be ok.

    Frankie arrives at the hospital, followed closely behind by Jack and Billie. Frankie tells him that he was in court when he got the message and feels so sorry about what has happened. Abby does as well but Billie tells her to stay out of it for the time being, even if she does mean well. She also tells Jack to stay out of it, for his own sake. All Jack is wondering, is whether Max will chose that skanky DiMera girl over his daughter. If he does, Jack swears he will make Max’s life miserable. Before Billie can respond, Jack walks over to Abby and bends down. She is trying not to cry but her father tells her that what happened was just an accident.

    He also tells her that she is her mother’s daughter and he knows she wouldn’t hurt anyone on purpose. Besides, the devil is probably watching over that hell spawn, Jack says. As Abby hugs her father for comfort, Dr. Glancy walks out and looks at Max. Everyone stands and looks at the doctor as he tells Max that Cassie lost the baby. Max’s mouth drops to the floor and he slowly walks over to the wall.....and punches a hole into it. Jack has to run over and, with Billie’s help, stop Max from damaging himself. Max then calms down as Dr. Glancy looks at his hand and asks if he could see Cassie. After Dr. Glancy says his hand is ok, he grants him a brief visit.

    Meanwhile, Cassie sees Chelsea through the window and motions for her to come into the ER. Chelsea slowly walks in there and, when she gets close to Cassie, she grabs Chelsea’s arm and yanks her down towards her, telling her that she has instructions for her. She tells her to convince Abby that she is to blame for the loss of her baby and to cause Max to push her away. If she doesn’t, everyone will find out her secrets. Chelsea is torn about what to do. Can she really destroy her friendship with both Max & Abby just to keep her secrets?

    Back out in the hallway, Frankie takes Max to the side and is shocked when Max asks if Abby could have something to do with what happened. Dr. Glancy overhears their conversation and tells them that two bruises were found on Cassie’s leg. One on her toe, the other on her leg. They look like they could have been made from a wheelchair. That news makes Abby shake her head in disbelief, as everyone, especially Max, looks at her stunned, thinking that she could be responsible for what happened to his child and Cassie.

    At the Green Mountain Hospital, Eric and Nicole rush in with the newborn baby they found. Nicole asks Eric if this is the baby and miracle that they have been waiting for. Eric doesn’t know but he hopes that the baby is ok. She tells him that she never has believed in things like that before with the childhood she had, but she believes in them now. Eric tries to calm her down and bring her back down to Earth. The doctor then comes out and tells them that the baby is fine but they will keep him overnight to watch him, just to make sure he wasn’t exposed to anything.

    He tells them both that CPS and the sheriff’s department were both called and, if anything comes over the wire about the baby’s parents or relatives, he’ll let them know. As the doctor walks out, Nicole still believes that this is the chance they have been waiting for. The chance to be parents to a healthy baby. Eric stands behind her, worried that there is more to this story than meets the eye.

    -Sami stands before Lucas, begging him to forgive her for what she did. Lucas turns to Austin and tells him that he just can’t believe that he and Carrie would do this to him. He’s also sick of he and Sami being the ones who always do wrong but when they do it, everyone should understand. Austin is silent, as is Carrie. Sami grabs Lucas and tells him to lay into her as she kept the secret as well. Lucas can’t say a word to her and leaves the room in disgust. As Sami gets ready to follow him, Carrie tells her to wait, they have things to talk about.

    She then tells Sami that she heard how much she has changed and grown up from saving their father to keeping her secret for everyone’s best interest. She tells her that she knows what she forced Lexie to do but that is in the past. She is grateful that she has finally grown up and Sami cries as she bends down to hug her as Roman, Caroline & Austin look on and smile.

    Sami then runs off to find Lucas. After searching for him, she finds him on the roof. She begs for Lucas to forgive her. She tells him that this may be their last chance at happiness. She prays that he can forgive her and understand what she had to do. Lucas just stares at her in silence.

    As a nurse walks into Carrie’s room and tells everyone that Carrie needs her rest, Roman walks over to Shane and Abe. Both Abe and Roman tell Shane that he may have to pay a heavy price for keeping this from everyone. Caroline walks over and once again tells him that she can’t believe that a man she once thought of as a son would do something like that. She is very disgusted with him right now and doesn’t know if she could ever forgive him. Shane then quietly says that he realizes that he isn’t wanted there and excuses himself.

    Austin stands back and looks at everything unfolding, wondering if all of this will effect his chances with Carrie. He stands there as Kate walks over to him and hugs him gently.

    -The nurse finishes checking on Carrie as Carrie sees Alan watching from the open door. She motions for him to come in and he does, as he stands by Carrie’s bed. Carrie tells Alan that now that she has admitted everything, she feels that she is free of all the secrets that could have ruined everything. She tells him that she had to reveal everything and now that she has, she feels that it is time to be reunited with her baby. She admits how stupid she was and that she now knows that she can raise her baby without any worries at all. She should've trusted that Lucas and those she cares about could handle this and that they could work it out, for the baby's sake. She then thanks Alan for everything he’s done but says she needs him to do one more favor for her.

    She wants him to get her baby and bring him home. To her. Alan is now silent. When Carrie asks him what’s the problem, he admits that he doesn’t know where her baby is, nor does he know how to get it back. Carrie flips out, becoming hysterical at this latest revelation. She grabs a hold of him, begging him to find her baby, as the medical personnel rush in. The screen then slowly goes to black.

    On the next Salem Lives...

    Hope to Bo: Tell me. Are you coming home?
    Austin to Alan: What the hell did you say to her?
    Sami to Lucas: Please...Lucas. It can't end like this. We can't let it.
    Billie to Chelsea: Something is wrong and I want to know what it is.
    Abby to Max: Don't do this!! Please, Max. Don't!!

    INSIDER SPOTLIGHT: FRANCES REID (ALICE) STOPS BY TO TALK ABOUT LANNA SAUNDERS' PASSING, HER RETURN TO THE FRONTBURNER, AND WHY SHE IS STILL GOING STRONG 42 YEARS LATER.




    Interviewer (I): Hello Francis. It's so good to have you here.
    Frances Reid (FR): Hello, dear. I am happy to be here.

    I: I know you can't stay long so let's get right to it. This week, Salem Lives is going to have a tribute to the late Lanna Saunders, who passed away recently. They decided to also write off the character of Marie as well despite Marie Cheathem being the role's originator. Do you agree with this decision and how do you feel about this tribute?
    FR: Well, let me say that Lanna was wonderful. She was a gifted actress and we all loved her so. It's hitting all of us that worked with her hard. I think what we are doing is wonderful. It's been dealt with properly and I think they felt that having the character of Marie pass as well was a good way to go to have a fitting tribute. I don't think it means any disrespect to Marie Cheathem. We all love her too and my understanding was they talked to her and there was no problem with this. I just think it's a lovely tribute and it's almost like an emotional journey. The fans will get emotional and feel they are right there with us. It's very fitting and moving.

    I: You have been seeing alot of time in the limelight lately. How long has it been since you have worked this much and how do you feel about getting so much play recently?
    FR: Great!!! I have never turned down working when asked. When the new writers came on last year, they told me they wanted to use me as much as they could and they have. They have me in the thick of things with my family and friends and it's great because it's not just me being there for an appearance. I am active, giving advice, and getting some good material. That is really true lately with Marie's death. That is the the most powerful stuff I have had to play in years.

    I: You have been playing Alice Horton for over 42 years and have been acting for much longer. How do you keep going at this pace, especially with your increased workload, and how long do you plan to do this?
    FR: I will do this for as long as I can. I love doing what I do. Always have. I dont want to slow down at all. They can have me work everyday. I will be there.

    I: Thanks so much for talking with us. I know you have to finish filming some more scenes so we appreciate it.
    FR: Your welcome, dear. Take care.

    James: You.......disgusting bastard.

    That is all James can say upon learning that the MCF was the one who murdered his entire family in a night of unholy terror. Tears stream down his face in anger and sorrow as it sinks in. James stares at the MCF and says to this person...

    James: After everything I have done for you......you repay that by killing the people that I love?
    MCF (via voice changer): I don’t know what the hell you are talking about. Your family was nothing to me. Why would I kill them?
    James: Because you are one sick !@#$%^&*], that’s why. You have been playing God with these people’s lives for the past year, all with my help. And then you do this.
    MCF: Get off your moralistic high horse, my friend. You did what a good soldier does. Period.
    James: A good soldier?! Putting these people through hell?! I need to have my head examined for ever listening to you. All the pain I have went through.....you caused.
    MCF: I did not kill your family.
    James: Oh, give that crap to someone who hasn’t seen you operate for the past year. All that crap you did with Marlena Evans.......

    Marlena stands just off to the side, smiling from ear to ear....

    James: And now I’m supposed to believe you. Bullshit!
    MCF: Look here. (Walking towards James) You are getting way out of line. You better remember who I am before you join the others in their fate.
    James: Save that horseshit! You can keep the threats. (Pulling a Gun) Oh, I see I now have your attention.
    MCF: Put......that gun down, sir.
    James: Oh, now I’m ‘Sir’. Amazing what a firearm can do to change the tone of a discussion.
    MCF: Yes. It certainly can.

    James holds the gun up and points it directly at the MCF, demanding that....

    James: You either tell me the truth about what happened to my family that night or I’m going postal in this place.
    MCF: As crude as ever. No wonder I had to kill those people you called family.

    James is shocked and beyond angry. His hand is shaking as he holds the gun at the MCF.

    James: I knew something.....but not this. I ought to kill you right here and now.
    Roman: No, James. Don’t become the scum that he is.
    James: Roman, your family is still here. I have nightmares about what I saw that night. And you just want me to let him walk away from that?
    Roman: Yes, James. I do. I know what it’s like to feel so much pain and hatred from the death of a loved one that it will drive you crazy. But.....you have to be bigger than the pain, James.
    Marlena: (Stepping out from the back) Well, well, well. I thought I was the doc in this relationship.

    Marlena points a gun at Roman as Doug, Julie, Maggie, Caroline, Bo, Hope, Belle, Carrie, Austin, Sami, Lucas, Will, Kate, Eric, Jack, Billie, Frankie, Greta, Max, Shane, Abe, Lexie, Celeste, Stefano, Cassie, Victor, Philip, Tony, Anna, Kayla, Abby, Chelsea, and Forest all look on with Nicole watching from the back of the ballroom. Steve, Alan, James, and Ernesto are still onstage. All of them look on in amazement.

    Julie tries to call out to Marlena but she is told to shut up. Marlena also says that her name is Samantha and if anyone else calls her by that horrible name again.....it will be the last thing they ever do. Cal and Katherine look over at Marlena as they tend to Ernesto. Sami also tries to take a step toward her mother but Marlena points the gun at her as well and tells her that she is the last person who should try and get through to her. She still does remember all the times that Sami called her a whore and a slut. Nothing will ever make her forget that.

    Sami tells her that it is all in the past. Marlena tells her “Like hell it is.” She reminds Sami of everything she’s been through after that crap on the island over a year ago. So, she tells Sami, no need to play the daughter act with her. That is dead and gone. Doug pulls Julie to the side while this exchange is going on and tells Julie that he can’t believe the woman that he fell in love with and married would do what she did. Julie is crying now, telling Doug that she thought it was the best thing for everyone at the time. She reaches out her hand to Doug, who jerks his arm back and tells Julie that he doesn’t know if he can ever look at her with anything but contempt from now on. Doug then walks back over to the group, leaving Julie to cry her eyes out at what she has done....

    And what it has cost her.

    As everyone watches on, Ernesto reaches up and grabs Cal’s shirt, telling him......

    Ernesto: You have....to get your bride and yourself out of here.
    Cal: We’ll split when we can get you to a doctor, ok?
    Ernesto: Even........after all.....these years, still the cop, aye?
    Cal: Well, I guess so. (Pausing) Why did you get involved with this nutcase anyway?
    Ernesto: All in due time. And now, just do what I say, and leave here......now.
    Cal: No. No matter what crimes you have done, even you don’t deserve this. (Looking at Katherine) Right?
    Katherine: Right, as always.

    Katherine smiles at Cal as he asks her to help him take Ernesto to a huge table in the ballroom. As Eric rushes over to help Cal carry Ernesto, Roman and Bo, along with the rest of the guests, try to get through to Marlena......

    Roman: You can’t do this, lady.
    Marlena: Call me Samantha. I know you always had the hots for my sister. Now you have the best of both worlds. (Turning to the MCF) You know, that was my favorite Star Trek: TNG episode.
    MCF: You know, you really are nuts.
    Marlena: Thanks for the compliment, boss.
    Bo: Boss? You mean that you have been working for this !@#$%^&*] all this time?!
    Marlena: Bo, Bo. Don’t be so nasty. This person washed my back.....so to speak, and I washed theirs. Just a simple business transaction.
    Roman: Then you must know how dangerous this person is, Doc.
    Marlena: DON’T CALL ME THAT!!! MY NAME IS SAMANTHA, YOU JACKASS!!!
    Roman: Ok, ok. Samantha. I so sorry.
    Marlena: The only true words you’ve said today.

    James, still holding the gun, steps over towards the group and stands next to Bo, Roman and Steve. James tells the MCF.....

    James: You know, I’m sick of this crap. This has went on long enough. After what you did to my family, I think the least that can happen......is for these people to finally find out who you really are.
    MCF: You wouldn’t do that. You’re a loyal soldier.
    James: I haven’t been loyal to anyone since I got back from Vietnam. My family......my precious family, were the only ones who I ever cared about......and loved. And they accepted me for who I was. And you (Crying) destroyed all of that. So now (Pointing the gun at the MCF) since you stripped me of everything.........it’s time for me.......to return the favor!

    James calmly walks over and reaches up to the MCF’s hood. The MCF has no choice but to stand there and watch James slowly reach for the hood and prepare to yank it of.......

    As everyone in the ballroom looks on in terrified shock. As James says.......

    James: Well, time to reveal.....the puppet master........

    The scene goes to quick shots of everyone in the room and then stops on the MCF............

    As the scene suddenly goes black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    AFTER NEARLY A YEAR, THE MCF IS FINALLY REVEALED!!! DON'T MISS THE VENDETTA GRAND FINALE TOMORROW!!!

    -Kate sits alone in her suite, looking at old pictures of Austin. She sips champagne as she cries over her lost child and the huge mistakes she made. She thinks to herself that Austin still turned out to be a splendid man, despite everything she did to control his life. And now.....he’s dead and she will never have the chance to tell him how sorry she is for everything that she did....

    And how proud she truly is of him. Kate sits on her bed and presses the picture of Austin against her face as she sobs uncontrollably........alone.

    -Meanwhile, downstairs in the bar at the Salem Inn, Nicole sits in a corner seat and goes through her third martini as she consoles herself. All she can do is mull over Eric and Austin’s last words to her. Nicole begins to think that she is the way she is and that nothing will change her. All she cares about is herself and, if anyone gets in her way.......family, friends, even the man she loved.......they do so at their own risk.

    Nicole then looks up at the door and sees Kate walk into the bar. Nicole stares coldly at Kate as Kate slowly turns around and spots Nicole sitting in a corner by herself. Kate slowly walks over and places a martini that she just ordered on the table. Kate then leans in and, with tears still streaming down her face, quietly tells Nicole that they are exactly where they should be and have no one to blame but themselves. Only this time.....

    Two of their dearest loved ones paid for their selfishness.....with their lives. Kate then slowly stands back up and walks off, leaving a sad Nicole to admit to her self....

    Nicole: We sure did, I guess. We sure did.

    A distraught Nicole takes the martini and sips on it quietly.

    -At the hospital, Roman sits in Marlena’s room, holding her hand. Caroline quietly walks in and tries to convince him that he has been there since they all came home. He needs his rest just like Marlena needs hers. Roman tells Caroline that he just wants to make sure that his lady is back before he tells her the news about Eric. Roman is scared that it may make her revert back into her Samantha personality. Caroline tells him that she has him and she has her own strength to get her through. It’s what got Caroline through when she thought that Roman was dead all those years ago.

    Roman sees what Caroline is saying and Caroline volunteers to sit with Marlena so Roman can go home and get some sleep. Roman tells her that he doesn’t know how he can close his eyes and not see his dead son but he guesses he’ll give it a try. Caroline gives Roman a hug only a mother can and Roman looks at Marlena once more before kissing her on the forehead and walking out of her room.

    Caroline sits down next to an unconscious Marlena and hopes that this may be the end of all of their tragedy.


    Outside Marlena's room, Sami’s look of shock and horror has made Orpheus panic and he starts to run for the elevators. Sami starts to sprint after him but Orpheus reaches the elevators and jumps into a elevator as the door starts to close. He then smiles evilly and blows a kiss at Sami at the door shuts right in front of her.

    Sami bangs on the door, causing a small scene, as Will comes running around the corner towards her. When he reaches her, her tries to calm her down and have her tell him what’s wrong. Sami calms herself long enough to tell Will that she just saw Orpheus get on one of these elevators. Will is shocked, saying that he truly has a death wish after everything he’s done. Sami tells Will to not waste one second and for him to go find Lucas and Roman and tell them that she just saw Orpheus and that she is taking off after him.

    Will asks her what does she think she can do to him. Sami tells him she hopes she can get close enough to snap his neck for what he has done. Then she demands that Will take off and, after he runs down the hall, a very determined Sami turns and jumps into an open elevator as the door closes in front of her.

    Will rounds the corner and sees both Roman and Lucas resting on some couches in the waiting area. They both jump up and want to know what has Will all fired up. Will tells them that Sami saw Orpheus and took off after him. Lucas looks at Roman as pure hatred comes across Roman’s face. Roman pulls his gun out and then radios in for back-up as Belle walks into the waiting area and asks what’s wrong. Roman tells Will to stay with Belle as he takes off after Orpheus, with Lucas in tow. Both men sprint down the hallway as Belle and Will look on. Belle rests her head on Will’s chest as he hopes that his family will finally stop Orpheus......

    Once and for all.

    -At the police station, Bo and Hope get word that Roman called in for backup. An officer tells them it had something to do with Orpheus. Abe tells them both to go, along with Shane, as Maggie and Chelsea are still being booked. He needs to deal with some stuff at the station and will be along when he can. Victor insists they take Nico to help. Victor tells Nico to check in with word. Bo says whatever and rushes Hope and Nico along with him. Alice, Julie, and Kim wish they luck. Kim begs Shane to be careful. He promises he will and races off after Bo. Hope, and Nico.

    -Will and Belle walk into another waiting area and find Carrie sitting there talking to Evan. They stand at the door as she tells Evan how sorry she is that he will never know his father. Austin was such a good man and she hopes that Evan will not hate her for being the cause of his death. Belle wipes the tears from her eyes as she and Will walk into the room and sit on either side of Carrie. Will begins to tell Carrie about Orpheus but Belle shakes her head no. She feels that Carrie is dealing with enough right now and doesn’t need the added burden. They just sit and comfort Carrie as she rocks Evan to sleep.

    -Sami pulls a gun from her purse as she heads down in the elevator but then she starts coughing. She clutches her throat and can’t seem to breath. She staggers over to the elevator controls and starts pushing the emergency button but the elevator continues it downward descent. Sami looks up as the floors roll by and she continues to try and activate the emergency release so she can get out of there.

    -When the elevator reaches the garage level, the door opens up to reveal an unconscious Sami lying on the floor as Orpheus walks into the elevator and stands over her. He looks grimly at her as he orders some of his men to take her away. Two men pick Sami up and walk over to a black van and place her inside. Orpheus looks around and then goes to take his seat inside the van. Just as he instructs his man to drive off, Roman and Lucas, who are now joined by Nico, Bo, and Hope, reach the garage area. Orpheus looks into the rear view mirror and smiles as the van takes off into the night.

    Roman, Shane, Bo and Lucas jump into a waiting squad car as Hope and Nico jump into one of Victor’s private cars and they all take off after Orpheus. The chase is dangerous through the city streets of Salem as the three vehicles drive at speeds of up to 90 mph. As the van turns a corner, it barely misses hitting a parked car. While it slows down a bit, this gives Hope a chance to pull out her gun, point it out the window, and fire several shots at the speeding van. Nico looks at Hope and is very impressed, to which Hope looks back at Nico and smiles.

    In the other car, Bo takes his wife’s lead and draws his gun as well, firing several more shots at the van. Orpheus orders his men to return fire and now there is a shootout on the dimly lit streets of Salem. The van turns off and Roman seems to have lost it for a brief moment until he spots it fly around the corner. He picks up the chase again as Hope and Nico follow closely behind.

    The chase finally ends up in front of the Chancellor Building. The van is sitting quietly as both cars pull up and slam on the breaks. Lucas and Shane jump out, followed by Bo and Roman. Hope and Nico jump out and run up to the group as they all look around for Orpheus. Guns drawn, the group splits up and goes around searching the outside of the building. When Lucas walks up to the almost completely glass structure, he tries the door, but it is locked. He looks inside and begins to turn around but something catches his eye. He focuses in on a person standing in the middle of the hallway.

    To his utter fear and shock......it is his beloved Sami, who is crying uncontrollably. Lucas tries the door and calls out to the others that he has found Sami. They all race around the building to see Sami standing completely still inside the glass building. Bo, Shane, and Roman look around and find a small bench . They both grab it and pick it up, getting ready to throw it through the window. But, just as they sling the bench backwards, a voice from over a loud speaker interrupts them, telling them that.....

    Orpheus: I wouldn’t do that if I were you two. I don’t think you have the insurance to pay Katherine Chancellor for any new doors, do you?

    The group turns and look around frantically and then Roman spots another black van sitting on the opposite side of the street. He then sees Orpheus get out of the van, slowly walk around the front of it....

    And show the group a sight that makes their blood run arctic cold.

    Orpheus holds in his hand the detonator to an explosive device. He stands near the driver side of the van as he instructs the group......

    Orpheus: Ok, ladies and gentlemen. Time to play Orpheus Says. Orpheus says........GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE BUILDING!!

    The group look at each other and then silently walk slowly away from the building. Lucas walks backwards, looking at Sami and mouthing to her that she will be alright. A distraught Sami clutches her fist and shakes her head slowly. Lucas does not take is eyes off of her as the group make it back to their cars.

    Then, Orpheus speaks, saying....

    Orpheus: Good. Good. Nice to see that you all listen. Apparently my show aboard the ship wasn’t enough. Time for you to learn another lesson.
    Roman: (Yelling across the street) Really? And what is that?
    Orpheus: To remember just how dangerous I really am.

    The events then happen in slow motion. Orpheus smiles evilly and looks towards the building. The group look at him and then tragically realize that Orpheus has wired the entire building to explode. Lucas turns and looks at Sami and then starts to run with all of his strength and speed towards the building. Bo sees Lucas take off and follows after him, along with Shane. Roman turns and looks at Orpheus and runs towards him, while Hope aims her gun and fires at Orpheus.

    The van door opens up and Orpheus jumps inside. Lucas looks inside the building to see Sami mouth three simple words to him.......

    I Love You.

    As Orpheus dodges Hope’s shot, he looks dead at Roman as Roman leaps towards the van......

    And Orpheus pushes the button on the detonator.

    A red button on 1,000 pounds of explosives detonates as one as the glass building explodes, sending Lucas, Shane and Bo flying backwards. The force of the blast knocks Hope over the back of the car and Roman stands and watches in shock and agony as his precious daughter Samantha is killed in a powerful blast that sends glass and steel everywhere.

    Orpheus closes the van door and the van starts up, with Roman reacting on pure instinct. As the van pulls off, Roman grabs hold of the driver side door and jumps on the side of the van, trying to grab the steering wheel and push the van into the river. The driver pulls his gun and bashes Roman again and again until he lets go, almost falling to the street before regaining his balance and running after it. When he realizes that he can’t catch the van, he stops in the middle of the street and slowly turns, with tears flowing down his face.

    Roman starts walking back towards the building as Bo and Shane run over and stop Lucas from entering the burning remnants. Nico and Hope run up and try to hold back a hysterically sobbing and almost uncontrollable Lucas. Bo holds him from behind and, with tears coming down his face, tells Lucas that....

    Bo: I know! I know what you’re going through! Oh God, Lucas.........I know.

    All Lucas can do is bury his face in Bo’s chest as he cries out........

    Lucas: WHY?! WHY HER?! HE DIDN’T HAVE TO KILL HER!!!!

    Shane watches as Hope wipes tears away from her face as Nico turns and looks at Roman, who can only stand in the street and watch the remains of the building burn. Roman then flashes back to another tragic moment in his life and now feels that life does go in circles.

    First Marlena.........now his darling Samantha.

    As Bo holds Lucas and Hope and Nico look on, Roman turns and starts to walk away while Shane calls in for some help. The burning building is in the background as Roman takes out his gun......and drops it on the ground. He then takes out his badge and, without even looking at it.......

    Flings it into the Salem River. He slowly walks up the dimly lit street, saying to himself only one thing. With tears streaming down his face, he makes a promise.......

    Roman: Orpheus......no matter where you are.......or where you go........I’ll find you. And when I do.....

    May Almighty GOD have mercy on your soul!

    The scene then pans upward as we see Roman walking into the night by himself as Bo and the others comfort Lucas and the scene slowly fades to black.

    -As the funeral precession makes its way to the church, Roman looks out his window and sees that the entire cadet class and most of the police force are standing and saluting both Samantha and Eric as they drive by. He gently waves at everyone, while fighting back tears. Roman looks at Marlena and his siblings look at him, as he can’t help but blame himself for everything that has happened. Bo looks at Roman and asks....

    Bo: What’s up, bro?
    Roman: It’s......it’s all my fault. I could have stopped all of this from happening and I didn’t. Too damn high and mighty, I guess.
    Bo: I wouldn’t say that......
    Roman: Well, I would.

    Kayla chimes in, telling Roman.....

    Kayla: You can’t blame yourself for how sick of a bastard Orpheus is.
    Roman: I think I can, sis. That man still blames me for what happened to his wife and said he would make me suffer for it. And.......what are we doing right now? On our way to bury our twins.
    Hope: I just hope that you don’t do something rash. The bloodshed in Salem needs to stop.

    Roman slowly turns his head and looks at Hope. He is very determined when he says to her....

    Roman: Whatever happens..........will be worth everything we’re going through now.

    Hope looks at Bo, who is looking at Roman, and wonders what is to come down the road.

    As the procession pulls up to the church, everyone parks their cars and starts to get out. Marlena is helped out by Roman and Bo and, when she steps out of the car and looks up.......she sees the face of her father, Frank. She jumps into his arms and cries out loud as Frank holds her tightly. Marlena rests her head on his shoulder as Frank shakes Roman’s hand. Frank tells Roman how very sorry he and Martha are about the children. Roman shakes his head and is shortly greeted by Martha, who gives him a big hug.

    Martha tells Roman that if he needs anything, just to let them know. He thanks her for that but tells her that everything will be taken care of in due course. He then slowly walks away from the group as Martha looks at Marlena and Marlena wipes the tears from her eyes, shaking her head. Martha kisses her on her cheek as Frank and her help Marlena walk towards the church. Frank tells her that she has someone who has been waiting to see her.

    When Marlena looks up, she sees Rex Dimera standing at the entrance to the church. Rex walks over and they both embrace warmly. Rex looks at her and wipes the tears from her eyes, saying that he couldn’t stay away at a time like this. Marlena thanks him for coming. Rex tells her that Samantha and Eric were his brother and sister. He had to be here for his family. Roman, Bo and Hope walk over and welcome Rex home. Roman and Rex hug and Rex tells him it’s real good to see him. Roman tells him likewise and says that he needs all of the family he can spare right now. Rex asks if he knows who did it, to which Roman replies yes, he does. Roman then pats Rex on the back and tells him.....

    Roman: All in good time, kid.

    Roman then sees Alice and the other Horton's and leaves to greet them as Rex looks at his family and wonders what has happened to his stepfather.

    Roman greets Alice and kisses her on the cheek. He then sees Lucas and Will and walks over to hug Lucas. Lucas embraces Roman and Roman then hugs Will as well. Roman tells Lucas that he can’t begin to tell him how sorry he is for Samantha’s death. Lucas thanks him but tells Roman that she was his and Marlena’s daughter before she was his lady. Roman reminds him that he knows how it feels to lose his lady. Lucas understands and tells Roman that he isn’t to blame for the sick bastards like Orpheus who kill without reason.

    Three men walk up to the group, with one of them saying that they agree with this wholeheartedly. Roman actually manages to smile slightly as he greets Don Craig, Mike Horton, and Bill Horton. Both Lucas and Roman shake hands and give out hugs. Don says he didn’t think he would be back so soon after Marie’s funeral and Mike says how he’s been reading in the papers and seeing on CNN and MSNBC about all the violence and........death........that has been happening. Marlena walks over with Frank and Martha and asks if the news has reached that far away. The men, one by one, hug Marlena and kiss her on her cheek, telling her how sorry they are about what happened.

    And Mike answers her question, saying that when you throw Orpheus into the middle of Victor and Stefano, that it makes news. Don agrees, saying that he hopes Roman and the S.P.D. can get a hold of all of this and end it soon before more lives are lost. Roman looks cryptically at Don, saying that that is just what he intends to do. The group looks at each other silently, wondering if they were all thinking the same thing.

    At that moment, Father Jansen stands at the door and tells everyone that it is time to start. Marlena looks at Roman and he hugs her gently. Roman then starts to walk over to the hearses as Bo, Steve, Lucas, Will, Don, Mike, and Frank follow him. When they get to Samantha’s hearse, they are joined by Jonathan, who gives his dad a big hug and shakes his hand. Rex and Andrew Donovan join the group as they split up and a small group of men start to unload both caskets from their respective hearse.

    As the men take both caskets and head toward the church, a black limousine drives slowly down the street. The car stops and the window slowly rolls down. At that moment, a black Porsche drives down the opposite end of the street and stops next to the first black car. The passenger window of the Porsche rolls down, revealing a man sitting in the driver’s seat SALEM LIVES NEWCOMER. He slowly takes off his jet black shades and looks at the men in the first car. The men look at each other, then back at him, then nod their heads in frightened silence, roll the window back up, and drive off.

    The man in the black Porsche then rolls down his driver’s side window, looks at the mourners standing in front of the church, rolls his window back up, and drives off. Everyone looks at each other and then, after some tense moments, the men start to once again carry Samantha and Eric’s caskets into the church.

    As the men reach the steps of the church, Marlena stands right behind the caskets carrying her twins and she looks around the packed church. She sees that Stephanie has made it back to Salem for the funeral, as has Chloe and Jeannie Donovan. The men slowly carry the caskets to the head of the church as members of Salem’s constabulary have came out as one, as well as members of the community. The men sit both caskets down, one next to a huge picture of Samantha and the other next to Eric’s picture. The men then slowly take their places as the congregation sits down and Father Jansen walks over to the podium.....

    Fr. Jansen: Welcome to everyone, one and all. Today, we do not say goodbye to these two loving souls from God’s Creation. We rejoice in the fact that they are now at home, forever in his loving embrace.......

    Marlena shakes her head in agreement as Roman looks at her and smiles, proud of the strength she is showing right now......

    Fr. Jansen: And so, at this day of their home going, let us give thanks to Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who makes all things possible, and thank him for blessing us with these two flawed, loving, precious souls.

    The scene then fades into Will, who is standing in between his mother and uncle’s caskets, as he starts speaking.....

    Will: I just don’t know what to say. My Uncle Eric was a fine, fine man. I will always remember how he stood up for my mom, whenever she made the mistakes that she made. And.......no matter what she did, I will always love my mom so very much. It’s a shame that she didn’t truly become the person I always wanted her to be until the end of her life but it’s great that she saw how much being a good, decent human being is so much better than how she was living.

    No one notices that Nicole is standing in the back of the church. No one except Kate, who turns her head, looks at Nicole, and just shakes her head in shame. She turns back around as Nicole ducks out of sight, as Will continues....

    Will: Well, Mom. I guess this is so long, for just a little while. I’m glad that you changed and I truly hope..........

    Will looks up into the sky............

    Will: That you are truly happy.......

    Then he looks down at the floor.......

    Will: Where ever you may have ended up.

    The audience laughs out loud and applauds as Will bends down and kisses his mother’s casket.

    Will walks over to Lucas and sits down and Lucas can’t help but smile, whispering that Sami would have loved his eulogy today. Lucas hugs Will and the scene then fades into Carrie, who is now standing next to her brother and sister....

    Carrie: My, my, my. How I miss you, little brother. A man of honor and distinction, you never wavered in your beliefs. I will always remember that about you. You look after Sami, ok? (Starting to cry) And......my little sister. We spent.......all that time......hating each other. And then when we started getting close and finally turned the corner.........you’re gone.

    Jonathan starts to cry as Chloe holds him tightly.......

    Carrie: Well, sis. I guess I’ll be seeing you. And I’ll keep playing that song you loved so much. (Looking At The Audience) It was called Sideshow, by Blue Magic, and it was truly one of her favorites. Goodbye, sis. Till we meet again.

    The scene then fades into Marlena. Roman is standing by her side and she starts to talk about the children she has loved and lost.......

    Marlena: My precious babies. My twins. (Patting and rubbing both caskets gently) I can’t even come up with the words. (Looking At Roman) I can’t. I can’t say goodbye to them. They can’t be gone, Roman. (Crying heavily) I can’t.........I can’t...........

    Marlena almost collapses as Roman grabs her. Hope, Bo and Lucas run over to help Marlena back to her seat and they sit her down next to Caroline. Caroline cradles Marlena as Kayla and Kimberly help console her and Roman stands next to his two children, almost too grief stricken to speak.......

    Roman: I can’t help but feel this is my fault. I tried so much to protect my children every day of my life but let my arrogance and foolish pride get in the way....

    Victor watches intently from the back of the church........

    Roman: And I feel that Eric and Sami would not have wanted me to feel this way.......but I just can’t help it. I can’t help feeling that if I would have done something to stop the evils that have befallen all of us, we wouldn’t be standing here today. Well...........no more. I now promise........no, VOW.........that no one sitting in this church will feel the pain that my family and I feel today.

    Roman looks towards the Heavens and tells his children.......


    Roman: Goodbye, little ones. Take care of each other.

    Roman walks back over and sits next to Marlena, who continues to cry in his arms. The final speaker of these proceedings is Lucas, who stands next to both caskets, tears streaming down his face..........

    Lucas: Eric, I hate the fact that we were never closer. You were a good, good man and the world is a much lesser place for you being gone. You gave your life to save all of us and, for that, I will forever be grateful to you.

    He looks at Samantha’s casket and then looks at Will, who brings a radio up to the podium. He sits it down and takes his seat again. Lucas starts to run his hand gently across Sami’s casket and just talks softly to her, as if she can hear him......

    Lucas: We should have been married. Had more kids. A big family. Even with the stuff that you did, we would have been so happy, especially since you had changed. You became the sweet, wonderful lady I knew you could be.......and now....... you’re dead. You told me to walk away from everything and be with you on New Year’s Eve and I didn’t listen. (Crying) All I can ask.......is for you to forgive me. Please. Don’t be mad it me, Sami. Oh God, I love you so much........please don’t leave me.........

    Kate runs up to the casket and catches Lucas before he collapses in grief. Bill also joins her and they help Lucas back to his seat. Will walks over to the radio and, with Father Jansen’s permission, hits play on the radio, and the song If You leave Me Now by Chicago (CLICK ON THIS FOR "IF YOU LEAVE ME NOW" BY CHICAGO) starts playing.

    The men then stand and walk over to the caskets and pick both of them up. Nicole sees this and hides in the bushes as Samantha and Eric are taken out of the church one last time. The men walk out into the beautiful daylight and carry both caskets back to their respective hearses. They put Sami and Eric into them and close the doors. Everyone starts coming out of the church after them and people start getting into their cars. Bill walks over to Lucas and tells him how sorry he is for what he has lost. Lucas shakes his head and thanks Bill for coming. Bill tells him that he wouldn’t be anywhere else but by his side at a time like this.

    Lucas really likes hearing that and, before he can say anything else, Bill also tells him how sorry he is for not being there when he was growing up. Lucas understands, saying that it was his mother’s fault. Bill tells Lucas not to blame her. She was looking out for him, like she always has. Lucas sees that but tells him that all she cares about is herself and running people’s lives. Bill says that he thinks Sami’s death may have changed her for the better. All Lucas can do is wait and see. Lucas agrees and both men shake hands. Will walks up behind them and Bill says he forgot how handsome his grandson was. This makes Will smile and he tells Bill that seeing him really feels good.

    All three men get into their limousine and, after everyone else is in their cars, they start up as one, and drive off towards the cemetery.

    Some time later, Victor walks up to the door of The Brady Pub. He turns and tells Nico to make sure that Roman and his family are being watched over. Nico tells him that Bo must have taken care of it because there is a man who is already keeping and eye on them, especially Roman. Victor tells Nico that he has done well and they both walk into the Pub, where a huge party is taking place. People are laughing, dancing, and passing around huge pitchers of Irish beer. A huge banner has both Samantha and Eric’s picture on it and all it says are two simple words.....

    To Life.

    Stories are being told about Samantha and Eric as people laugh out loud. It is an old Irish tradition to celebrate the lives of people who have past away and this time is no exception. As sad and as solemn as everyone was........and is, this is a time for celebration and that’s what the Brady's and their friends intend to do.

    Roman sees that people are sitting with Marlena, who seems to be having a good time, forgetting about the pain that she is feeling. He sees that it is doing her good to talk about her two children. As he walks past her, Roman pulls out his cellphone and tells Bo that he’ll be right back. He has a phone call to make. Bo tells him to take his time as Roman tells everyone to keep the beer and good times flowing.

    Roman then steps outside, far out of earshot of anyone close to the Pub. He dials a number on his phone and someone picks up on the other end. The person who he called is.....

    Roman: Dear Orpheus. And how are we doing today?
    Orpheus: Roman? How in the HELL did you get this number?!
    Roman: Now, now, Orpheus. No need to get upset. Just wanted to call you and say hi.
    Orpheus: Well, Roman, I thought you and your family would be busy today. I heard their was a funeral in Salem......or perhaps two. My mind tends to wander.
    Roman: (Laughing) Good one, old friend. Still the jokes, even after you killed my twins.
    Orpheus: Of course, Roman. Always make time for a little humor. Adds years to your life.
    Roman: Well, if you thought that was funny, you’re about to wet you pants over this one. Just listen.......

    Roman takes a device out of his pocket and holds it up to his cell phone. He then says to Orpheus.....

    Roman: Now. On the count of three. One......Two......THREE!

    Roman pushes the button and an entire floor of a fancy high rise apartment building explodes. A few moments later, one of Orpheus’s men comes running in, telling him that they just received a call that his high rise apartment exploded. Orpheus looks at the phone in shock and says......

    Orpheus: Roman........are you still there?
    Roman: I sure am. You know, that really was a nice apartment you had.

    After a brief pause, a determined Roman tells Orpheus.........


    Roman: You started this. You’ve maimed and murdered people and all for what? Revenge. Well........old.......friend, you have now gone way too far. You killed my blood. My babies. And now, as far as I’m concerned............

    It’s an eye........for an eye. Have a pleasant day, Orpheus.

    Roman hangs up the phone and Orpheus tries to call him back but Roman has blocked the phone line. Orpheus calls in several of his men, yelling at them to find out how Roman Brady infiltrated his private quarters. He demands that they step up the next phase of his plans. The men obey and all of them take off into the cool night.

    After he is alone, Orpheus slowly walks up the staircase to an upstairs bedroom. He slowly opens the door and looks in on his sleeping guest. He then slowly walks over to the guest and stands next to the person, quietly saying.....

    Orpheus: Well, it seems like I have made the cardinal sin. I have underestimated Roman Brady. (Looking at his guest) Now, what would he do if he knew.......that I have you.......

    All to myself?

    The scene then pans down on his sleeping guest BIG SURPRISE!!! as the scene freeze-frames and the suddenly goes to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    DRAMA IS THE MAIN EVENT AT THE BRADY PUB AS THE SHOCKS JUST KEEP ON COMING!!!
