Don't forget, though, that their actions collectively led to the deaths of several, including a police officer. Therefore, asking for life imprisonment isn't unreasonable, and it shouldn't be off the table either. I've watched enough "Law & Order" to know THAT much, lol.

Pardon me, but why does it matter what Joe Manchin has to say about, well, anything? All we've done these past four years (and beyond -- going all the way back, frankly, to John Edwards) is listen to and try to understand these people -- and look where it has gotten us. Do you think the media would expend this much energy trying to understand how a POC went from average, law-abiding citizen to domestic terrorist? Of course not! That isn't how (alleged) grown folks are supposed to get things done; and if Ms. Babbitt and her fellow insurrectionists were too childish or ignorant to understand that actions carry consequences, then they have only themselves to blame.

Tracked down and arrested, yes. But, how much further does the law enforcement community plan to go? Will there be trials on the local, state or federal levels? Probably. But, even if those who make it that far are found guilty, I guarantee their sentences will be so light, it'll make what the average jaywalker faces seem like cruel and unusual punishment by comparison.
