I truly miss the days when men like Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz were on "Donahue," not on Capitol Hill.

Is this the man whose hand Brett Kavanaugh refused to shake at his SCOTUS confirmation hearing? When you think of the number of lives that evil man has ruined -- not just on social media, but in general -- it's utterly heartbreaking. Simply put, it's time for the Republicans who still have a conscience to realize their party is too far gone to be saved. Either become Independents or form a new, third party. There's no other option. LOL!! Some dickheads just never learn!

You know, between that tweet and Anderson Cooper's comment, maybe we SHOULD refer to it from now on as the "Olive Garden Riots." It's like the Brooks Brothers Riots, but less respectable.

Don't know whether or not this is legit, but I saw a tweet saying that Olive Garden had suspended Hannity's "Lifetime Pasta Pass"? Again, don't know if this is legit, but if it is, it's [!@#$%^&*] funny. Nope. I stand corrected. THIS is [!@#$%^&*] funny.

"For God's sake, whatever you do, don't tell 'em I died tazing my own nuts!!" But seriously. As tragic as that episode in our nation's history was, it also provided moments of really dark, gallows-like humor. Such as the idiot who died accidentally tazing his own nuts.

What can I say? Free speech, good or bad, has its' consequences. But...am I the only one stunned to learn MySpace and Friendster are still around?- The Politics Thread
Don't forget, though, that their actions collectively led to the deaths of several, including a police officer. Therefore, asking for life imprisonment isn't unreasonable, and it shouldn't be off the table either. I've watched enough "Law & Order" to know THAT much, lol.- The Politics Thread
Agree. I guess bringing a rope and grappling hooks was out of the question, lol?- The Politics Thread

And here I thought he was just the world's greatest Joe Theismann impersonator. Thanks, @Skin!- The Politics Thread
Pardon me, but why does it matter what Joe Manchin has to say about, well, anything? That's another thing that's working my last, damn nerve: how we're supposed to "understand" the seventy-some million who have supported this rotten administration. All we've done these past four years (and beyond -- going all the way back, frankly, to John Edwards) is listen to and try to understand these people -- and look where it has gotten us. And now, these people occupy the Capitol like the villains in an '80's Golan-Globus movie, because they say they're not being heard? Give me a damn break! You've BEEN heard, and guess what? We've decided you're wrong. Now, be like good boys and girls and Go. Home.- The Politics Thread
You know, Ingo was always a joke to me, so...not surprised?- The Politics Thread
Sounds way more plausible to me than anything QAnon has cooked up.- The Politics Thread
Who the hell CARES about Ashli Babbitt's "ideological journey"? Do you think the media would expend this much energy trying to understand how a POC went from average, law-abiding citizen to domestic terrorist? Of course not! They'd just dig up every other, minor offense they'd committed; say, "Well, that's n****rs for ya"; shrug and move on. I'm sorry Ms. Babbitt's loved ones are left to mourn her passing, but please, do not ask me to empathize or sympathize with anyone who decided to storm the halls of government and place others' lives at risk because they didn't get their way. That isn't how (alleged) grown folks are supposed to get things done; and if Ms. Babbitt and her fellow insurrectionists were too childish or ignorant to understand that actions carry consequences, then they have only themselves to blame.- The Politics Thread
Translation: you bet your sweet ass members of the Capitol Police were in on this [!@#$%^&*].- The Politics Thread

And also waiting at the gates: Letitia James, and the rest of SDNY. If I were Donald Trump, I'd take Suzanne Sugarbaker's advice, buy myself and the rest of my family some dark wigs and get the hell out of town.- The Media/Journalism Thread
I watched it, too -- not live, but later -- and you're right: as soon as Dana Bash started in with the "new tone" business, John King pretty much said, "Girl, bye."- The Politics Thread
Wait, is this the same officer whom the rep said (per upthread) had not actually died? If so, then I think it's too late. The curse has been invoked.- The Politics Thread

Tracked down and arrested, yes. But, how much further does the law enforcement community plan to go? Will there be trials on the local, state or federal levels? Probably. But, even if those who make it that far are found guilty, I guarantee their sentences will be so light, it'll make what the average jaywalker faces seem like cruel and unusual punishment by comparison. HA! Too long, I guess, @amybrickwallace! Too long! - The Politics Thread
