  1. Exactly!
  2. Still care to "Free Melania," folks?
  3. The fact that a WOC (and HBCU grad) was elevated to Acting Chief in the wake of this tragedy is what I call poetic justice.
  4. I would say so. It's one thing to believe the crap you're espousing; we could (almost) dismiss you as a crank and then move along. But, if you're craven enough just to pander to your audience's ignorance and prejudice, because getting them riled up ultimately equals more money in your wallet, you might as well have no conscience or soul.
  5. Well, it's like what we keep saying: words have consequences. People on the right and far-right can cry "free speech!" all they want, but there's a difference between expressing a political opinion and openly fomenting an insurrection. He's proven himself unable to keep his followers from acting on their most violent impulses. Ergo, he needed to be banned and deplatformed. If only to possibly keep another, even more devastating act from happening. Sad...but true.
  6. Please, oh please, oh PLEASE let them announce that they're closing Trump Tower. At the very least, let them announce they're taking Trump's name off the building. TT was/is his baby. To lose it would REALLY make him suffer. I didn't. What happened?
  7. Not that I'm suggesting they're closet liberals, but I doubt most of Fox News' "personalities" believe half of what they say on-air. They're just throwing more meat to their viewer base and collecting another paycheck in the process.
  8. It's Donald's "Crack is whack!".
  9. But, she does make ONE good point: most of those dickheads -- which is to say, those who weren't out for Mike Pence's neck -- never had a plan beyond storming the place; and in the end, all they accomplished was, well, nothing. Say what you will about radical left-wing organizations, but had any of THEY successfully stormed the halls of our government, I guarantee we all would have been citizens of New Wakanda by nightfall -- with a new flag, a new leader and parliament, new currency (with Jay-Z and Beyonce's faces on it), new everything -- and we'd STILL have time for Bible study and a cookout.
  10. How does one go from being married to a BLACK woman to becoming a Proud Boy? Was life with Shawna THAT awful?
  11. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if more stories like these were to surface in the days, weeks and months to come. It's scary when you think just how close this came to being a mass slaughter. That's why I say the right and far-right can shove it with their talk of needing unity. If they want unity, then they're going to have to do the work.
  12. They can kiss my Black ass as well. We've said all along that this would happen, and it did. But, the GOP just dismissed us as "snowflakes." They need to own this. They need to be held accountable for it. Then, MAYBE we can talk about unity and healing.
  13. You know you've messed up when shopify bans you. (Could rakuten be far behind?)
  14. Donald J. Trump is a classic, textbook narcissist. He is willing to die -- and take everyone else with him.
  15. Many people just don't understand how terrifying Trumpers can be. On the morning of the insurrection, I saw several trucks on the street, decked out in full, red-white-and-blue Trumpian regalia. The riot hadn't happened yet, but I could tell something was going down. "It's an intimidation tactic," I said -- to which Mama Khan argued it most certainly wasn't. "What is SO WRONG about people who just want to show their support for Trump?" Uh-huh. They just want to show their support. Sure, Mom. Sure.
  16. Oh, you mean something like this, Mr. Vice President: Good question!
  17. If Donald Trump stays in office, he's liable to commit another, rash act; and if he is removed, either through the 25th Amendment or impeachment and conviction, he's liable to commit another, rash act. So, I say, remove him and then brace for the fallout. Yeah, sure, fit will hit the shan, but at least he'll be out of our damn hair.
  18. Most likely. It's too bad we can't wrap it up in a half-hour, like they do on "Judge Judy." On the other hand, it's got to be better viewing than B&B. ETA: Sorry, @ChitHappens, I misunderstood your question.
  19. You could argue that Congress doesn't have enough time to impeach Donald Trump (again), but I agree that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer need to send the message that there MUST be accountability for what happened this week at the Capitol. The risk of another insurrection (or worse) happening is just too high.
  20. Oh, my, yes, it WOULD be a shame.
  21. Oh, they're gonna LOOOOOOOOOOVE him in prison.
  22. If only "Veronica's Closet" had been as funny as Kirstie Alley lecturing us on what slavery is.
  23. Not just selling your soul, but throwing your wife and even your dad under the bus. I mean, if you were to call MY significant other "ugly," or insinuate that my father had assassinated JFK, you wouldn't have to worry about being banned from Twitter, because you'd be paralyzed from the neck down. I'm just saying.
  24. Well, all the people who said, "Trump's an okay guy -- he just needs to tweet a little less," should be very happy today. As if gays and lesbians haven't suffered enough. What happened to "Blue Lives Matter"??
  25. With all the attempts he's making at getting back on Twitter through different accounts, Donald Trump is looking more and more like...well...like an SON troll.
