Ron admitted in interviews that he sees the devil just like any other villain. That’s why I’m afraid that the devil’s now just gonna pop up once a year for a little while...

    That was his first mistake.

I wouldn't mind the devil popping in every now and then if Ron didn't write it like a joke but he does.

    And the CGI eyes? Nope.

Poor, sweet Nick did like two bad things in his whole life, yet he’s burning for all eternity

    Right? 😄😄

The way the ladies reacted I expected to see CGI Stefano there. Or Daniel Jonas.

I wish someone other than Jordan was there to "judge" Kate in purgatory. Maybe Franco or Curtis. I just don't care about Jordan.

These glowing devil eyes look dumb (same with the contacts they used last year -- I miss the pale ghostly eyes they used in '94/'95, Marlena looked HAUNTING!) and Ron's "devil" is petty but it'll be fun to see Nick again. I just don't understand why it's him and not a more prolific villain.

This show is permanently written like they're rushing to get everything in before next week's series finale.

    Amen.

It was dumb how Kate went from sipping chowder at the Pub to taking her last breath at the hospital in the span of, like, two segments the way she did.

I agree with others who think this was a J&M story and Kayla/Kate were shoehorned in. I just don't understand why they rushed the climax like this. It felt rushed and performative.

Rachel's "kidnapping" was rushed but a lot more satisfying, IMO.

I loved the initial Brady/Kristen confrontation, everyone vs. Kristen (even though Orpheus is enemy #1 in this) at the townhouse, Brady and Kristen going toe to toe after the orchid reveal, Chloe vs. Kristen at DiMansion, Steve vs. Kristen, Eric holding Kristen at gunpoint, Kristen trying to flee with Rachel, etc.

The only thing I didn't like was how fast Kristen learned the truth about Rachel's kidnapping and EJ's lack of hesitation turning on Kristen but I'm loving EJ/Nicole so it is what it is. I just hope they don't neuter him too much.

Stacy, Eric, Greg, Dan and Ari have done really good work but Stacy put on a master class in a few of those episodes.

    Too rushed though.

No other like him. Zas.jpg When I think of GL writers putting their heads together, brainstorming an ALS story for Roger, beginning with putting Roger & Holly together & Paul stopping them & then MADD saying what she did, I get burned up all over.  For once JFP did the right thing.

It could've been an amazing story.

What Kenny ( @KLN ) said on this thread back in January about Abby is coming true.  Something savage (or bloody) happens so you believe she's dead and not missing.  That's what Kenny said but he didn't mention the specific method of death.  He said that due to the inability to work things out with Mansi and Miller, they made a casting and story decision.

The only details in the new SOD that were not in Kenny's intel were the list of suspects and that the "story" part of the decision was the need to free Chad.

    Thanks for that!

Perhaps, but I feel like Kristen has been softened too much in recent years.  Like @KLN said, Stacy Haiduk's Kristen is not the same as Eileen Davidson's Kristen, and I feel like ED's Kristen would come closer to fitting the bill of supervillain than SH's.

Now, one way they could bring Kristen BACK to being a true supervillain would be to have her suffer the worst loss imaginable - namely, the death of her and Brady's daughter - and have someone from one of the town's main families be inadvertently responsible, thereby causing her to swear vengeance against the entire family or families, like papa Stefano would.

  7. Rob posted a picture in his dressing room. I assume it's new. Not sure if they resolved Ciara/Ben and Ben is sticking around or what.

3 different people told me VK/RSW filmed their final scenes together. Same 3 who said Abby is killed off. I've known them a long time and they're reliable.

I haven't heard anything since last week and haven't asked but RSW's pic makes me think they're keeping Ben.

Either way don't shoot the messenger.

  8. I'd like this to lead to Peter's return.

Say Peter sent Gwen to fracture the family so J&J split when Abby dies.

Write him dark and diabolical. Like the villain in Ghost. Have him tell Jennifer it was Stefano and Jungle Madness that made him crazy years ago. Tease whether or not he's the real killer as he lures Jennifer in, then reintroduce JJ.

Frame Sonny so Will is vulnerable. Chad/Will grief sex seen by Arianna. Arianna tells Charlotte daddy killed mommy. Charlotte tells the cops. Chad charged.

    Then Laura escapes.

Big sh_t sandwich with Peter at the center.

  9. Picture it.

AUGUST in SALEM: A moment of despair leads to spied passion for Chad and Will. The killer stalks his next victim. Jack and Jennifer have it out. A vengeful Arianna tells Charlotte her dad killed her mom. Phoenix Bentley reveals his true identity to Gwen. Kristen uncovers the truth.

Chilly summer if I was writing.

People should not be upset over any death on DAYS

Jack's organs were donated and he still is alive.

Why should we believe any death now is any different?

Ron is serious from what I hear.

They wring the beats which is great if there's a bigger plan. That's why Cady was back. But I also heard Missy was back so who knows. We might see Hope for the funeral. Another actress though. It sounds well written but I'm pissed if it's not a fakeout.

Neither Kate or Marci want to be there. For Kate it might be more of the show not wanting her, I've heard different things so I'm not sure.

In any regard this is Ron's solution. Abby dies, pretty savagely I'm told.

I interpret legacy heroine as an adult female born on-screen. For current Y&R that means Victoria (1982), Chloe (1990), Lily (1995), Abby (2000).

    Yeah.

    Oh. You meant Abby Newman.

...why on Earth is the supposedly evolved Kristen holding people captive on an island that I can only hope is Melaswen...

She's obviously not getting prescription refills on the run. 😄😄

I blame half of this on Gwen and Ava though.

  12. I'm looking forward to the island story. Seems like an old school 'adventure' without the budget. Glad we finally saw Sarah. Reminded me of the Hope reveal at Maison Blanche. I'm excited for Sarah and Abby to see each other. I like that it isn't all Kristen. Half this mess was made by Gwen and Ava who I'm also enjoying together. As absurd as it is I'm enjoying it.

I've already voiced my opinion on Craig and Nancy. They needed to tell the story differently or use a different couple.

The devil is lame. They should've written him like True Blood's Maryann, demon succubus feeding on dark energy throwing the town into angry, violent orgies by the end. Like Trump but with balls.

    Still loving Stacy's Kristen.
