Where did you get this info from? I was just thinking the other day how the American males that have failed badly in singles are doing well in doubles. Ryan Harrison another one making the semis with Big Foot...forget his name....LOL I'd call them rejects too....oh well....LOL But isn't it common knowledge that those that don't succeed in singles quickly go the double route? There are few who only play doubles and never played singles.....I also remember that the Bryan brothers played singles aren't weren't very good...as they admitted and went on to play doubles. Henry Kontenint ....sp? from Finland is another who hasn't done well in singles and stuck to doubles. I thought he has a good game and wonder why it doesn't translate to singles. I think it's the pressure of playing on your own. Some like Harrison and Sock can't handle it. I particularly don't think Ryan Harrison has a game to make in singles...ie....major wins or even 500 tourney wins. It is funny how only Sock is vane...well so is Harrison...and Isner....if Isner didn't have that serve he'd be playing doubles too because the rest of his game stinks. Get honored for winning doubles by your state isn't all that great. People will remember the singles winners and not doubles. I hardly remember who wins the doubles except for maybe when Martina was playing and I'd actually watch. So is this article saying that Sock is going to retire if he can only succeed in doubles? It wouldn't bother me. If he really cared about singles he'd get into shape and really work hard for it. I recall seeing him walk by during a recent live shot of Tsitsipas preparing for his match and who walks by the screen....Jack Sock .....looking bloated and fat and looked so untuck with his shirt out....looking like a slob.

The American should've won. I saw the match and he was the better player even though he lost. It was nice to see a latino from the US in a final.

Last night's/early morning win proved Osaka's US Open win was no fluke. I was for both ladies but at the end wanted Petra to pull it out. Petra probably played her worse match of the tournament and still had a chance to win. Osaka was controlling most of the points which shocked me. I expected Petra to come out more forceful with angles on shots and serve. She was overhitting a lot.

Mr. Magoo is going to appear on TC. Let's see what he has to say about last nights match. Ha....ESPN and TC just yesterday commented on how much better Tsitsipas return has gotten. He is better than Isner who can't return [!@#$%^&*]. But now that he lost people are coming out of the woodwork saying how his return sucks.....whatever....

Not buying that [!@#$%^&*] about the tennis ball. When I played in HS/College.....I couldn't tell the difference between balls.....that's ridiculous.....both sets should've gone to a tie breaker or been closer especially the second set....on one service game Tsitsipas was up 40-15 and double fault twice to get it to deuce again.....so don't get me started on the tennis balls.... The problem was that Mr. Magoo...aka Mouratoglou had no great game plan for Nadal....again they should've watched matches with Roger and Thiem where they beat him......both moved in and hit the ball sooner and put Rafa on the defense....Thiem's first set at the US Open was masterful..... Tsitsipas should've given Thiem a call....they are buds.....

I love Mackie's game but he needs a good coach to get him going. Jared's game is boring and too robotic. I agree though that it has no variety to it. I don't see him doing much in his career.

His bf is cute. Wasn't Gambill coaching someone? First of all it was deflating watching Tsitsipas lose to Nadal. That said he had a great two weeks and has beaten everyone except for Rafa...he is 0-3 against him. I didn't care for the game plan he was given against Nadal. Why was he playing so far back? He should've played on the baseline taking Rafa's shots early like Roger did the time he smoked him in Australia and IW. People are already clamoring for Mr. Magoo to step aside since he won't help him beat Nadal. I was watching when ESPN crowned Tsitsipas as the new Roger....my jaw dropped.....I was like the Baby Fed love for Grigor is gone? LOL. Tsitsipas should've watched clips of matches were Roger played Nadal and last year's Thiem vs Nadal US Open match or any match with those two...would've given him an idea on how to beat Nadal. Tiafoe's FH is dreadful. If he is going to compete with the best IMO he needs to fix it. The women's final should be good but now I am debating whether I should see it live or just DVR it. I already stayed up last night watching Tsitsipas match.

Ha......poor Dom he is never acknowledged. Speaking of....so disappointed in his Aussie performance this year. He completely ran out of gas. I hope this makes him change his tour schedule and plays less. I didn't think he played a lot a the end of last season but he had a lot of good wins so it seemed he played more. He must still be worn out from last season. I am curious if he will play both clay court tournaments coming up in February.

Glad Pouille won last night. Never been a Raonic fan and last night proved what a horrible player he really is. The guy is serve only. He looked so slow on the court and can't even volley. He missed so many volleys that it was comical. Kei.....lawd can this guy just retire now? From the first point he looked like he was going to fall over. I am so sick of seeing this. He will never win a major because he doesn't have a body for it. He just messes up the tournament for others and then loses due to injury or being fatigued. Kei needs to go....so sick of him. And the fans who paid big money just for it to go a set and a half....I'd ask for a damn refund. Some one on social media said that Busta threw his hotel TV out the window after he saw Kei retire against Joker...LOLOLOLOL
