In his recent interview Steve Kanaly said Linda was fired/let go. He was also fired along with Priscilla in 1988 and felt betrayed by the show. He was offered the following seasons the four episode appearance Barbara and Howard was offered the final season of the show. He said they were hiring much younger and cheaper actors because the show was costing too much to produce.

The ending today had Poppy telling Bill he could be Luna dad. She doesn't know? Liam telling Hope that she was different and could have a relationship with Deacon but with kids not present. Finn daydreaming about the hug Shelia gave him after her ridiculous release from prison and Sheila rescuing his step daughter from the ocean. Hope daydreaming about the massage Finn gave her. Talk about everything being so forced and contrived. Just ridiculous nonsense.

No I just think Dynasty hit its peak that year. Dynasty never hit the monstrous numbers Dallas did in its prime. Even the cliffhanger for 84/85 peaked at 31.1 rating when Katherine ran over Bobby in her car. The death scene at the end had a 30.5 rating. Dynasty only peaked in the 28s to the resolution of the wedding. Even Bobby's return for the 86/87 premiere episode peaked at 27.1 rating.
