The Taylor Swift Thread
Now that the trial is over (yay that she won and I'm very proud of her), TS6 is definitely coming! Rumours have it that she'll be on Good Morning America on August 31.....which is 13 days away, and 31 is the reverse of 13. lol Typically, singles/albums are released on Friday's now due to Billboard's tracking. So my guess is that she'll tease the new single on GMA, then release the single at midnight Friday, September 1. At least, that's what I hope. I hope she doesn't just drop the entire album. I want her to stick with what's worked - doing tons of promotion and releasing the album in late October. Also, rumours of her first single/video will have to do with "time"/ a clock......though rumours about her music are usually wrong.

Max Martin, Jack Antonoff and Greg Kurstin are three of my all time favourite writer-producers so because of that I'm looking forward to the album. The single is okay and I like it enough.

Roger better be ready? He was the 7-time Wimbledon champ and 18 grand slams total, and he hasn't lost a set. Now make that the 8-time Wimbledon champ and 19 grand slams overall and didn't lose a set all tournament. Of course he was ready. 😄 Roger is still playing great tennis at such an old age.

Justice League Movie
Wow, I didn't think Whedon would have this much control over the post-production. I wonder if the movie will be Whedon's edit of Snyder's edit. I like Elfman and I hope he keeps some of Hans Zimmer and JL's themes, especially the Wonder Woman theme.

Wow, that's horrible.

I don't really care that much about ratings anymore - as long as the show is still good and its ratings are ahead of other NBC shows (which it should be even with this move). I think when the show ends (hopefully it'll last 6-7 seasons which is perfect for a heavily serialized show), it will go out of its own and not by cancellation.

Justice League Movie
If there's one thing Zack Snyder does well, it's action sequences. Aquaman riding the Batmobile and then jumping off to fight the parademon was pretty cool. Since we'll be see more of WW in her own movie, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Aquaman and The Flash in this movie.

I too was expecting to see Jack die in the finale, but I'm so glad he didn't. I didn't want to see Jack die in such a negative way (drunk driving) or when he's in a negative place (with Rebecca). That fight between Jack and Rebecca was really good and I loved how it was all in one shot. I like how they met - Rebecca ditching her blind date, and Jack forgetting about this blind date. And it was their meeting that made Jack stop his plan to steal the money and steered him away don't a bad path. It was his "big break." I want to see more of their beginning, and I also want to see Randall and Beth's beginning. I just can't believe a show like this is doing excellent in the ratings. Usually these type of shows don't do well, ratings wise.

I just binged episodes 3-17 in the last two days so I could catch up to the season finale this week. My God, what an emotional show! I normally don't cry or get tears when watching TV shows or movies, but I got tears on two occasions. The first one was when Kevin left his play to comfort Randall because he knew from that phone call that Randall was having a breakdown. I have a brother, so that scene hit me hard. The second one was when Randall comforted Kate during William's funeral. "I'm so sorry you had to go through this twice, Randall." And then Randall tells Kate about his dream. I've been waiting for a really good Randall/Kate scene all season.

Congrats Federer! I wish I could've seen the match. Can't believe he won a grand slam st his age. Tennis is in trouble because there's no superstars coming up.

What is this, the late 2000's? lol I never thought I'd see these matchups in a grand slam final again. Too bad I won't be able to watch it. I especially want to watch the Federer/Nadal final.

From little I've seen of Megyn (her battles with Trump and Newt), I like her. It also helps that she's good looking - maybe I'm biased. LOL She seems to be a sane one from Fox News who doesn't get into the crazy stories/made up stories like other Fox News people. And I always choose NBC News over CBS or ABC (for breaking news, or election coverage), so I definitely like this move.

I don't understand what's so difficult of putting a checkmark or X in the box beside the name, or even circling a name. Then you have a group of people (from each party) count the ballots manually. Is that so difficult?

I've only voted by paper ballots , so what are the reasons for voting by machines? With hackers, I'm always suspicious of manipulation.

Maybe it's too early for this, but I need hope. Does the Democratic Party have any good "prospects" for 2020? It would be poetic justice if it was a Hispanic who defeated Trump in 2020. What about Michelle Obama? Would she ever consider running? Trump winning shows you don't need experience.
