Errol with the cliffhanger! LOL. So it's not DAYS.....definitely not B&B. That leaves GH and Y&R. Did Josh Griffith have another breakdown? 🧐

B&B August 2023 Discussion Thread
Is he though? What part of his character tells us that he would never turn his back on a kid at the beach? It's almost like Finn fans can't accept that he is capable of doing something really stupid. You want him to be perfect? That's boring. I've been enjoying these last couple of episodes because this is the most interesting Finn/Steffy have been. I really like this conflict. This is the type of family drama that's fun to watch, IMO.

Gary Tomlin directed today's GH, so I think that takes him out of being the HW during this strike.

DEADLINE: Days of our Lives Misconduct Investigation Against Co-EP Albert Alarr
Alarr's going to be fired by the end of the week. Has there ever been a cast mutiny to oust a producer on a soap before? Bravo on the actors for sticking together. This is a huge stain in Corday's legacy. Having a terrible work place environment is much worse than having terrible stories play on screen.

Damn. What a failure by America. lol

DEADLINE: Days of our Lives Misconduct Investigation Against Co-EP Albert Alarr
I don't believe Greg Meng is a production-producer though. I believe he was money-producer on the business side of things. When Greg was a Co-EP, Noel Maxam, Lisa De Cazotte and Albert Alarr were also Co-EPs. I'd say just promote Janet and let her be Co-EP to run the day-to-day operations. Then promote Randy Dugan from Producer to Supervising Producer, Sara McCormick from Associate Producer to Producer, and someone from the production staff to Associate Producer. No need to bring any from the outside.

2023: The Directors and Writers Thread
No writers listed for GH today, so it looks like they're not going to list who's writing the show. Let's see if Gary Tomlin continues to direct or not. If we don't see his name pop up for months as a director, then we can make a guess that he's writing for the show.

DEADLINE: Days of our Lives Misconduct Investigation Against Co-EP Albert Alarr
Wow. I feel bad for the cast and crew. I can’t see him being there for long now that it’s out in the public. Great reporting by Andreeva. She’s been one of the best TV reporters for a long time.

Billboard Charts
Thank you, K-Pop fans! LOL Nice to see two POCs block Aldean. Hopefully he falls out of the top 10 next week. Cruel Summer still in the top 10....come on Taylor, you can easily get a #1 here if you drop a remix.

I love this board so much!

Billboard Charts
Some more records for Taylor, most notably being the first female, and solo artist, to have 3 top 10 songs on the Hot 100 from 3 different albums. From Billboard: Plus, as Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the set’s “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)” debuts at No. 5 on the Hot 100. The song joins Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” from 2019’s Lover, and “Karma,” from 2022’s Midnights, in the Hot 100’s top 10 – making Swift the first woman ever with simultaneous top 10s from three of her own albums. Among all acts, only The Beatles previously achieved such a triple from three of their albums. Meanwhile, “I Can See You” opens as Swift’s 42nd Hot 100 top 10, extending her record for the most among women. ------ As Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) soars in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart – marking her 12th leader, the most among women, as she surpasses Barbra Streisand’s 11 – the re-recorded LP’s “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)” debuts at No. 5 on the Hot 100. The song starts with 24.7 million streams, 361,000 in airplay audience and 4,000 sold. The track arrives as Swift’s 42nd Hot 100 top 10, extending her record for the most among women. Most Billboard Hot 100 Top 10s: 68, Drake 42, Taylor Swift 38, Madonna 34, The Beatles 32, Rihanna 30, Michael Jackson 29, Elton John 28, Mariah Carey 28, Stevie Wonder 27, Janet Jackson 26, Justin Bieber 25, Lil Wayne 25, Elvis Presley (whose career start predated the Hot 100’s inception) --------- “I Can See You” is also Swift’s 26th top five Hot 100 hit, the chart’s fifth-best total. Drake leads with 35 top five entries, followed by The Beatles (29), Madonna (28) and Mariah Carey (27). Meanwhile, “I Can See You” joins Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” down to No. 9 on the Hot 100 from its No. 7 high, and “Karma” (featuring Ice Spice), which dips 9-10 after reaching No. 2, in the top 10. With the tracks from three Swift albums – Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), 2019’s Lover and 2022’s Midnights, respectively – she becomes the first woman with simultaneous top 10s from three of her own albums. Among all acts, only The Beatles have also charted three simultaneous Hot 100 top 10s from three different albums of theirs: On the Feb. 29, 1964, chart, “I Want To Hold Your Hand” ranked at No. 1, “She Loves You” placed at No. 2 and “Please Please Me” entered the top 10 at No. 6; the songs were released on, respectively, the Fab Four’s U.S. albums Meet The Beatles, The Beatles’ Second Album and Introducing… The Beatles.

The Taylor Swift Thread
Billboard News 12 No. 1s: Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) marks Swift’s 12th No. 1 on the Billboard 200, pushing her past Streisand (with 11 No. 1s) for the most chart-toppers among women since the chart began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in March of 1956. Swift ties Drake for the third-most No. 1s among all acts, with only The Beatles (19) and Jay-Z (14) ahead of them. Swift Has Four of the Top Five Biggest Weeks Since 2019: Since January 2019, four of the top-five biggest weeks, by units earned, have been tallied by the debut frame of a Swift release: Midnights (1.578 million; 2022), Lover (867,000; 2019), Folklore (846,000; 2020) and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) (716,000; 2023). The only non-Swift week among the top five largest frames since January 2019 is the opening week of Adele’s 30, with 839,000 units in 2021. 2023’s Second-Biggest Selling Album After One Week on Sale: After only one week on sale, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is 2023’s second-largest selling album. The year’s top-seller remains Swift’s own Midnights, with 636,000 sold in 2023. Midnights was the top-selling album of 2022, with 1.818 million sold that year.

The Tennis Thread
Even if they're not #1 or #2, if one of them falls to #3 or #4 for example, the tournament organizers shouldn't put them in the same side of the draw. The organizers need to setup the best possible finals match. Now, I don't know the rules. Do the organizers need to follow the ATP rankings for seeding, or can they make judgment calls when it comes to seeding?

The best one was defeated by the next one. Congrats, Carlos!! What a great match! The US Open better not screw up by having these two on the same side of the draw.

OLTL/Y&R/B&B/PSSNS - Andrea Evans Dead at 66
I'm doing good, man. Yourself? Yeah, I think I would've loved SB too but it was before my time. Loved TAM, Deanna and Heidi too. Michael Sabatino in drag. 🤣 I totally forgot he was on the show. LMAO at that last clip about Julian's penis being upside down. So ridiculous. Rebecca was so over-the-top. 😂

Alcaraz vs Djokovic in the finals. See, this how you set up a tournament, by having these two in different sides of a draw. These is the match up most people want to see at the end of the tournament. Just hope none of them get hurt and the match is competitive.

OMG, Ivy in the wheelchair. LOL! I totally forgot about that. Thanks for posting that. I haven't really rewatched a lot of Passions since it aired. Just watching some of those clips makes me really miss the show, especially its wacky humour. You really need phenomenal actors like Ben Masters, Andrea Evans, Kim Ulrich, Juliet Mills, and Kathleen Noone to pull it off. Sunset Beach, Passions, Gary Tomlin's OLTL - I miss the hilarious insanity of those shows.
