Tomas aside, I dont think there is anything wrong with warning a friend about a scammer and the stuff that she nad her mother are currently doing to her family (which by extension is his family too when we consider Naomi). Also she was drunk, hence her delayed reaction and almost falling when he caught her. I got the impression that Jacob and Naomi were newlyweds (married 1, maybe 2 years. They'd have last seen each other at least at the wedding, which is where I assume Kat would know him from too if they know each other as both would have been in the wedding party those are the actors ages, not the characters. Dani is at least 50 with someone half her age. Vanessa is supposed to be around her age too and Joey might be as young as 60. Either way a 50 something year old woman with an older man is not the same as a 20 something with an older woman. The maturity and life experience is a major differene
