I dont like how it went down though bc the way it was set up, it ant be an accident. The phon was perched perfectly against her purse to capture everything. It was placed lik that and it dosnt make sense that she would do that after she got up. Why would she leave her phone there let alone angle it to record? Im wondering if there will be a twist that reeals she did it on purpose

No I get that. I just disagree. They can’t be the Erica and Mona dynamic of this show bc they fundamentally are not the same characters. Erica was almost always wrong and Mona served as a conscience of sorts. I think Anita shares some blame and also needs to be dragged and told about herself. At her core, Mona was a good loving mother but I don’t think Anita is. When we learn more, I would not be surprised if she actually was a horrible mother. Shes already acting like one . The fact that her first response is to scold and tell Dani how much shame she brought to the family instead of being consented that her daughter needs real help bc she is suffering partially bc of Anita herself is telling. Anita is too selfish and prideful to take accountability for setting up the scenario which triggered Dani in the first place. Mona would never that’s why Anita screams Stephanie to me with her need to control everything even at the expense of the loved ones around her

You can love your child and not like them. Anita does not like Dani. She is more concerned about looks and appearances. Dani has some real issues that are obvious but Anita did not care bc she will do anything to preserve how the outside views the family. She and Vernon literally sacrificed Dani to protect Martin and then get mad when Dani has a breakdown. I dont get or like the comparisons to Erica. Erica was not crazy. Everything she did was calculated and fueled by her own selfish desires. Dani is clearly someone suffering mental health issues. Simply scolding her is not going to bring her down to Earth. She needs to see a psychiatrist and potentially be put on meds bc there is something not right in her head. She's not a bad person but rather is fragile and broken. She's immature and emotionally stunted, bc of the way her family always treated her as a child. I think being a model was her first chance at getting independence but she never got to fulfill those dreams bc she gave it up at age 19 and became submissive to Bill. Now she is divorced, alone and never developed the proper skills to function alone as an adult. Dani is weak in a way that would never describe Erica Oh and Anita is no Mona. She's more of a Stephanie Forrester type.

Anita does NOT like Dani. She's that type of mother that constantly knocks her daughter down and makes it be known that she can do no right. I wouldnt be surprised if she was resentful of Vernon's fondness for her

F the family! They should have NEVER had Dani there and front seat. Like i said, they dont give a damn about her mental health. They use and emotionally abuse her. She's a product of their own failures

I still like her Speaking of Karen, she has to be the biggest liar on this show after Mia. Im with Gizelle. That video they showed of her should have been scrapped. She didnt take accountability and she continued to lie. She forgot she not only took mediciation but she upped it that night and its what caused the alcohol to catch her off guard? GIIIIIIIRRRRL! She never saw the footage of her bodycam before she went to trial? She only had champagne at a friends house when previously she said she was out with friends (implying they were at a venue with multiple people)? Lies, lies, lies Gizelle revealed that Karen was offered two plea deals. 6 months house arrest or 6 months jail. She was stupid for not taking house arrest. Ashley and Wendy finally cosigned what Charisse has been saying about her for years. Cha Cha has been vindicated and that was the final shot of Karen, holding a champagne flute after being sent to prison for a DUI

I can see that but Im sure there's a reason for it. There's still alot of mystery here and we dont know the whole story. We do kno that the two women are scheming and have an agenda which they at least seem to believe in

What a great first week with so much happening! Had this been a Tyler Perry production, these 5 episodes would have been dragged out over the first 44 episodes of seasons 1 and 2.
