Just checked my records and came up with this gem:
"DAYS" LEADS WOMEN 18-49 NIELSEN RATING DEMO FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 1/17/05...'
"Days of Our Lives" was in sole possession of first place in last week's Women 18-49 Nielsen ratings demo, the first time it has done so since the week of January 17, 2005. The 0.39 rating for "Days" just beat out second place "GH" at 0.38.

She isn't staying long-term. That's why I held her off the contract list for 4 weeks, but they never corrected it in the credits. They haven't been using the usual NBC credits because of the pandemic. These credits do have errors (such as listing editor Samantha Stone, who passed away in early 2018...have no idea how her name ended up back on the list, but NBC TV never listed her). So, this could be an error, but since I only have access now to the "online" credits (which is what is now airing on NBC TV), I have to list her in the contract position. Digest already announced her exit for later this month in the newest issue.

I was looking around at the NABET and IATSE websites to see if there was any news about "Days" crew and their status. I didn't find anything specific to Days, but this was posted about the NABET crew of General Hospital: "General Hospital is under a production hiatus and employees assigned to that production will be paid ten (10) hours straight-time for each scheduled work day, through April 5, 2020. The Company will also pay daily Payment In Lieu Of Benefits (PILOB) for the above-referenced days. "

Maybe she meant written through Christmas. Ron even tweeted he was just writing Christmas (and that was well after the production break started on March 13...and they write stuff months before taping it).
They have fully taped through around October 20-ish. Ron mentioned being done through Halloween/early November, but I believe those would only be partial episodes, not much fully completed past the October 20-ish time frame.

I checked on things. Per IMDB, Kelly did 6 episodes of Station 19. Per Kelly's tweet of August 8, she announced she had booked the Station 19 role. The Days episodes airing in the next few weeks were taped in mid-late August. She announced booking the Station 19 role during a dark week of Days, so perhaps Station 19 was only going to be one episode at first, but turned into 6, and so she chose to leave Days and stick with the primetime gig.

The order means production of "Days of Our Lives", and any other Los Angeles-based TV shows, will remain suspended for at least 5 more weeks.
The 65-day shutdown of "Days" would be the second longest production break in "Days" history, just 2 days behind the 67-day break from 11/28/19-2/2/20.
Based on reports, YR and BB will run out of episodes by early May; GH has enough remaining 4-day weeks to air new episodes through May 21.

Yes, all the actors get paid, as would any music used in the episode.
This 1991 U/5 contract for "Days" provides a little insight, and proof that soaps take repeats into consideration in contracts even back in 1991:

I don't watch YR, but was checking on preemptions and saw this posted by the YR twitter:

I wasn't around then, but they rotated coverage between NBC, CBS and ABC during Watergate. Even so, "Days" was still preempted 20 times! That pushed Suzanne Rogers' debut back a month, and I guess since Bill Bell had things mapped out so far, is also the reason Hope was supposed to be born around Christmas, but wasn't until mid-January.

NBC NEWS CONFIRMS IT WILL BROADCAST THE IMPEACHMENT TRIAL DAILY STARTING TUESDAY, 1/21 (AND EVERY DAY AFTER) AT 1PM ET...NO OFFICIAL WORD YET IF "DAYS" WILL BE NATIONALLY PREEMPTED OR THE EPISODES POSTED ONLINE...NBC EXPECTS AN UPDATED ANNOUNCEMENT ON MON. 1/20
NBC has announced additional details for its coverage of the Impeachment Trial beginning on Tuesday, January 21. Affiliates who are broadcasting "Today with Hoda & Jenna" or "Days of Our Lives" will immediately switch to the special report feed. Sessions will begin at 1PM ET each day from Tue. 1/21 through Fri. 1/24 and may begin earlier on Sat. 1/25, followed by an undetermined number of days/weeks afterwards. "Nightly News" at 6:30PM ET may be impacted. Sports programming on Sat. 1/25 may be impacted. NBC says it will have an update on Mon. 1/20 as more plans are finalized. NBC has not yet posted if "Days of Our Lives" will be nationally preempted or just aired online as it was during the hearings the last few months
NBC News coverage will be anchored by Lester Holt, and he will be joined by Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell and the network’s teams at the White House and on Capitol Hill. The network also is planning a team of legal experts and presidential historians.

TWO CORRECTIONS...I just finished up the final verification for the 2019 episode rankings. There were two errors found which have been corrected on all the lists. Camila Banus (Gabi) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) each gain one episode. Banus' final total is 111 episodes and Evans' final total is 79 episodes. All of the other appearance stats were verified to be correct.0

NBC SCHEDULES NEW "DAYS" EPISODE ON MEMORIAL DAY TO REPLACE FRENCH OPEN...
NBC has now confirmed it has scheduled Episode # 13858 to air on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day). This is the first of the 13 sports postponement preemptions that had to be filled with something. # 13858 was originally scheduled to air on Tuesday, May 26, but will now air a day early. As posted yesterday, the possible impacts to the schedule being filled with all new episodes would mean the holidays later in the year will air much earlier than planned.
