Your memory is so good. Thanks. Tess really did torture Stacy, but chemistry trumps all on soaps. Catherine Hickland really brought something special to her characters. She could be the worst, but there was rooting value.

I remember them as a couple. It was so sad when Buck found Stacey dead and his daughter died in the plane crash. I forget if he made the move over to The City.

😂😂 Reva is such a polarizing character. As for the happy ending discussions, I prefer them. If writers have a reasonable amount of time, they should craft a goodbye that's true to the story and pays some fan service. I'm still confused as to why Josh and Cassie got married and Reva had a menopausal baby with Jeffrey. But it makes sense that Josh/Reva were endgame. They were toxic, but fans can overlook a lot. I don't like that AMC and OLTL ended on cliffhangers.

I'll listen to the Susan Lucci appearance on the podcast. In a way, it's refreshing that Sarah Michelle Gellar didn't try to paint a rosy picture of her relationship with Susan in that particular interview. I wonder if the two have ever had a conversation about their time on the show years later.

I remember being shocked when Hart was killed off. I didn't read spoilers back then and had only started my SOD collection. Wendy Moniz was perfection as Dinah but I always felt the writers went OTT to put her into a corner to prop up Cassie/Hart. Gina Tognoni really did a Herculean effort making the character viable again. (I'm not sure if you have gotten to her performance yet or if you watched in real life.) Dinah could've been a cartoon in less capable hands. Later, her and Jonathan were fun together but she went on an Edmund rabbit hole and maybe backstage issues prevented a full blown romance. And there was also more rooting value and interest in Jammy. But I loved them for what they were. OG Danny and Michelle will always have my heart. The chemistry between Paul Anthony Stewart and Joy Lenz was so easy and the story really supported their growing attraction and love. Carmen was a nice spoiler, at first at least.

Ridge and Bridget only kissed (and even that is nasty since he raised her). But Bold got so much backlash, and the story was scrapped. I don't think they've ever mentioned their feelings again. It's beyond vile that a man can raise a girl and then have an attraction to her. Don't care that it's a soap. Ridge is a father/father figure to her.

Now I'm curious about Kyle and Reva. I just always assumed that no other romantic pairing compared to her and Josh. I do remember Blake and Ben. I really liked his character, especially with Hunt Block in the role. But I didn't know that Blake ran through the entire Spaulding family. Springfield really was a small town! Thanks for the history lesson.

Say what?! I can only imagine the fan reaction. I know that every man had to fall in love with Reva, but she's the Brooke Logan of GL. She's been with every man of the Lewis family. I want to be more outraged, but Harley, Olivia and Beth did the same (I may be missing some more). Just gross even by soap standards. It's too much for a show. Ridge and Bridget hooking up was absolutely filthy. He helped raise her as a daughter. P&G had an issue across the board.

It's nice to see Susan making the rounds to promote "La Lucci." I wish I could've met her during her signings last week. I need to pick up her book soon. I'll try to watch the Locher Room with Michael Bruno this week. LGBTQ stories are given more priority now but it really was groundbreaking when AMC did their story.

I'm really happy I found this thread because I genuinely like reading everyone's POVs. My depth of knowledge spans the late 90s through Jan. 2007. I only watched here and there afterwards. The filming on random streets in Jersey and storytelling didn't inspire me to watch. I really like how passionate the posts are from the 90s, 80s and even the 60s and 70s. I've always been interested in the Roger Thorpe era and seeing how he became this iconic character, if his trajectory was similar to Luke Spencer and Todd Manning. And I think there was Marian Crane story about a crossdresser. As for the incestuous relationships, I wish the writers had shown restraint. Reva was with two sons and a father. As mentioned, Bill was with two sets of mother/daughter. Olivia was with Phillip, Alan and I think Gus. Cassie/Josh bothered me more than it should have. Same with Tony/Michelle. Someone should've said "Enough!"
