  1. I don't see any difference between NBC Days and Peacock Days. Very boring start to a sweeps month. Xander's hot, but seeing him in his undies for 4 or 5 straight episodes? Dull. The Marlena story hasn't been played in a week and a half.

Any word on a renewal for Days? The Peacock execs were playing up the decision this week to no longer offer free sign ups and they attributed their growth to The World Cup, the NFL, next day broadcasts of NBC and Bravo shows and originals, but no specific mention or credit given to Days. Yellowstone and The Best Man have managed to break into the Nielsen Top 10 for Peacock but Days is nowhere to be found.

  2. Thanks for summarizing the interview upthread. I tried to listen to The Chat once and commented to the hosts about how bad that podcast is and got blocked. Those hosts cannot take criticism. (Despite what they say). That said, I'm not surprised that Sally Sussman is a 'friend' to The Chat. As stated upthread, Sally Sussman has never had a successful stint as headwriter. She rode Bill Bell's coat tails for years and her own show flopped and Days' ratings dropped when she headwrote the show. Her last stint at Y&R was terrible and of course it was someone else's fault. Surely The Chat kissed her ass and didn't ask about her husband and it was so disgusting to read that they dissed Brad Bell to Sally Sussman. They would never do that to Brad's face. Sally's delusional if she thinks that her failed show Generations can be rebooted. A low rated soap opera from 30 years ago. Really Sally? I guess she needed to say something to still sound relevant.

  3. Well at least Chandler had a reason to smirk today. Usually he smirks for no reason. I wasn't impressed with the big reveal that Leo is indeed a weasel and not Sonny's friend. Why on earth would Sonny "cry" (they obviously put the glycerin drops into Zach's eyes so it would look like he's crying) over Leo? Dumb writing by the team who wins awards just by participating.

  4. Good! I hope that she is cancelled. Went to a taping of her show pre-covid and believe me, her' niceness' is a farce. She's nice while the camera is rolling but the second they fade out, she could not care less about the audience. She acknowledged the studio audience once at the beginning of the show but never again, not even during commercial breaks and she was very rude to her behind the scenes crew who prepare her cooking dishes. Yelled at them because they weren't fast enough to get the fake tv dishes out there fast enough. It was an experience. Bye beyatch. Glad you're cancelled.

I don't know, that DC story telling me what a movie star Wilson Bethel would be sure came true...

Years ago, the Emmys would sometimes just not give the award to anyone in the category. There would be no award given.

I used to find this insulting.

Now, I think it might not be such a bad idea.

When was that? Cite examples. I don't remember that happening with the Daytime Emmys.

The Teriah episode was unwatchable. This show has no clue what to do with Camryn Grimes or Sharon Case, two of the show’s most talented actresses. And didn’t we just do this sadsack mother thing recently for a holiday episode at Crimson Lights? Or it might have been a homeless woman that Nikki interacted with. I know Bill Bell wasn’t immune to pulling saccharine, condescending stunts like that, but at least his overall storytelling was good.

I just fast forwarded through 90% of that episode. Stupid, terrible. Why would they do that on Christmas Eve?

  7. I only half pay attention while this show is on. Didn't Sheila get stuck in traffic with the cop right behind her? Why didn't he just shoot out her tires while she as stopped? The whole sequence was ridiculous. And I still can't get over the stupidity of Sheila wearing open toed shoes after cutting off her own toe to make everyone think she's dead. Brad Bell's father wrote Sheila so much smarter than this.
