Damn! That was fast! Out of nowhere their only big story secret comes out.

Well sort of ...  Neither Leo nor Nicole know that Eric is Jude's bio-father.

Seems like only the first half of the secret comes out here- that Nicole is the mother and not Sloan.   Seems like they'll assume Jude is an Ejole baby until further testing is done?

    Glad Adam Huss appears again.

But what's happening to SOD?  Diane of soaphub writing for SOD.  All it really says, is that during week of April 29th, Ava visits Nikolas at the prison.  With a bunch of filler words added into that opening sentence.  And then the author rambles on for the rest of the page with specs of scenarios about what they might talk about during her visit.

  4. The above youtube from Ari Zucker starts out with thanking people for coming to New Jersey. She's referencing this:
On April 13 and April 14, There was a starstruckfan event in New Jersey, with Emily O'Brien, Shawn Christian, Ari Zucker, Stacy Haiduk, Paul Telfer, and Eric Martsolf.

Ari starts out the youtube with a thank you for that.
    and then she says:
"really appreciative of the amount of support that I have had
since the ---- leaving Days of Our Lives. I'll just be kind about it right now.
And just so y'all know, my last airdate is July, I think it's July 29th, and we'll see how things go after that."

Laura. Yes, she's an empath, and that's a beautiful thing -- until it's applied to criminals and killers.

Yea. that's the issue.  What bothered me the most was her incessant defense (or even propping) of Esme.   It made Laura look stupid and inconsiderate (and Laura should be neither.)

I'm a fan of some characters and pairings (but not a stan of anyone).

I am a Trina fan *and* a Laura fan (I can be both)
and I was *very* irritated with Laura's support of Esme.
It felt very disrespectful of Spencer and of Trina.

That bothered me even more that her concern for Cyrus or Heather.

This impacts soaps on CBS in western timezones.
Does not affect CTV-Canada or GlobalTV-Canada.

    On the semifinal dates:

    CBS live soccer coverage
    Pre-game show 2:00-3:00 PM EDT
    Soccer match 3:00-5:00 PM EDT

DAYS OF OUR LIVES has invited me back to the show to celebrate 15000 episodes!
And to participate in the funeral for our beloved "Doug Williams," played by that wonderful man, Bill Hayes.
Soaps are the only venue where you get to go to two funerals for the same person, in real life and for the character.

  9. @BoldRestless thanks for the recap of the 1993 Rainbow Gardens stuff!

I found where I had looked at it before:

The pandemic rerun of the Aug. 7, 1996 episode of Christine/Paul wedding.
Wedding guests included Miles and Margaret Dugan, played by Parley Baer and Maxine Stuart. They were the Rainbow Gardens tenants that Christine had helped in 1993.   I remember looking up the "rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs" recap of that 1996 wedding the week before it aired in July 2020.

Then I wondered who are Miles and Margaret and started to research them then.  I'd only been a member here for a few months then, and tried reading all the history, but was so overwhelmed. I think I tried finding more about Miles and Margaret but I think I found only stuff on soapcentral.  I didn't think to research them on rec.arts.

  10. April 24 CDN, April 25 US.
Victor tells everyone Jordan fell off a bridge into the water and drowned and is dead and everyone believes him.

But secretly, the end of the episode shows Jordan confined behind bars in the basement of the Newman ranch in the wine cellar.  Victor says there's no way out and nobody can hear her and he made sure of that years ago.

Obviously a callback to Victor's origins when he imprisoned Julia's boyfriend there -- except that was decades ago and the house burned down and was rebuilt.  Is that supposed to be the same wine cellar?

Very unfortunate timing that this airs two weeks after the death of actress Meg Bennett who played Julia and was key in the original storyline.

Revealing Sugar’s actual name, Janet Webber, was a nice touch, as the name is a compound of both of Robin Mattson’s most famous roles.

    Oh I like that.

And it's a nice nod to B&B's Alley Mills going over to GH to take over (for the past year or two) Robin Mattson's role as Heather Webber (due to Robin being unavailable).

As was noted by @Paul Raven, Nick was an affordable housing developer for years, and we never saw a single home that he built, and if we ever saw any of the people he helped, it was probably a throwaway scene at the coffeehouse. Under Bill Bell, this stuff came to life with storylines like Margaret and Miles at Rainbow Gardens.

I watched some of the Rainbow Gardens stuff during summer 2020. Don't remember if it was on CBS pandemic reruns or if I just delved into old youtubes that existed then.
In the 1990s Christine was in attorney mode and did well with this. She discovered that the property was once owned by one of the Phillip Chancellors (Katherine's ex or his father, or maybe an ancestor.).  After this discovery, she got Katherine to fund it or assist with paperwork, or  maybe they got it declared a city historical site, or something like that, whatever, and that saved the tenants from eviction.
At the same time Danny wanted Cricket to move to New York with him for his music career, I think? Or around the same time period when her attorney career was starting to  go well.

They could have brought all this up during the Danny/Cricket scenes of the past few days.  They sort of did, but not really because Griffith always misses beats.  The conversation felt rushed.

I remember when Devon and Nick began doing the low-income housing project development/charity thing.  I think the name Rainbow Gardens popped up again when they  began the housing project around 2018.
Was it the same building? Or did they rename it in honor of the other one?

I haven't seen a spoiler that said that.  But maybe it's rumored?
