I don’t think Dante is needed. He and Lulu should’ve been written out together (I can’t stand Marcy Rylan), but Laura needs a child on the canvas. If they somehow got JMB back, they should have Dante and Lulu break up offscreen so she can have a new love interest.

I’m fine with JY as Lucky at this point. It would be better than a new Lucky.

I would also accept Coltin Scott or Nick Stabile back as Nikolas. 

Nina offered to pay as well but proud Curtis turned him down. Hopefully Jordan will get an infection as karma for their stupidity.

It irks me that they created Willow when they had ample opportunity to use Carly Schroeder as Serena in the same kind of role (schoolteacher/ex-cultist).

No there’s not room for both. This cast is bloated as hell. GH needs to trim the cast and stop recasting pointless characters. They should also swap out characters like Willow and Finn for historical GH characters like Lila Rae and Steven Lars. Par down the cast and use actual GH characters instead of random newbies.

 The characters that I listed belong on GH more than Willow and Chase and Hayden. Rebecca Budig should’ve been Sarah from the start. 

For some unknown reason, TPTB would rather invent new characters than use historical GH characters. It’s frustrating.

Whatever happened to Molly Stanton? I was a huge Charity fan. After that show with Sara Gilbert, Molly dropped off the face of the earth.

She was. It was bizarre. It was like she or Nina was itching for her coke fix.

Nina is going to eat Willow, who isn’t a very strong actress, alive.

I think it's been mentioned here already, but ABC's Grand Hotel, which debuted tonight, features Denyse Tontz (AMC's Miranda) and Bryan Craig (someone on GH, I have no clue) as the daughter and son of a hotelier. It was a pretty light and fun summer soap. I think I'll enjoy it but won't be sad when it no-doubt doesn't make it past the first season.

I hope it gets renewed...ANYTHING to keep BC off GH...

I liked Hope and Roman talking about how she’ll always be a Brady. This was the most likeable she’s been since I started watching again in January.

The Brady Pub is one of three classic sets (the others being the Horton house and the DiMera mansion/Donovan Manor). They’d be remiss to get rid of the pub.

Since Watros was obviously open to returning to soaps, I wish Days had scooped her up as the Kristen/Susan recast last year. *sigh*

It’s nice that Sonny and Will got a Pride Month wedding and with the real actors (sorry, Guy). Now write them out and bring back Paul (recast?) and Leo.

Rafe gets a backyard set but the Brady/Horton barbecue is being hosted INSIDE the Brady Pub.

Meanwhile, the Staff Infection has been removed from GH and just seeing Watros turn the hospital corner (and immediately put opposite Donnell Turner) is already an improvement by about 1000% ... God, two seconds in and it's already SO MUCH BETTER. Nina is still a pointless character but I'm so happy to have Watros instead of Stafford.

Right??? I only know Watros from primetime so I’m not as psyched as some of you, but she is a major upgrade over the Staff Infection. Nina scenes will finally be TOLERABLE and possibly even enjoyable!

I am more interested in him getting to know Will (his nephew by marriage) and Sonny (his namesake nephew), especially since Will is supposedly a journalist.

I agree. I thought Eileen spiced up Eric Martsolf and he's been better ever since, but yeah ... Ari looks to be having so much fun and I love how Kristen has been reminding viewers Nicole wasn't such always a crying wet dishrag. I don't mind folks evolving but I miss the spark Nicole used to have. I get the character has been through the absolute ringer and any real life person would be traumatized, so no wonder she cries all the time, but I think they can better balance her. It was like when 2009/2010 and they tried to turn Sami into a supermom heroine. It didn't work.

I don’t think JER did anything wrong with Hattie. He only wrote her for two episodes. And I didn’t mind Dee in those episodes. Dena wrote Hattie longer and worse. As for Ron, I’m fine with his writing for Hattie, but Dee's performance just doesn’t work. Your assessment of her being like an alter of Marlena’s is spot on.

Bristen also creeps me out because I watched her mother him in the 90s. Plus, the Brady character has always been a waste of airtime as an adult, IMHO.

I hope Nicole gets her edge back when she reclaims her life from Kristen. Speaking of Jack, I loved Nicole and Jack’s dynamic circa 2002. Would love to see that revisited.

I’m kind of glad Eileen didn’t return for Kristen to be wasted on that loser Brady Black. I’d be over the moon with this Nicole mask story if Kristen were pulling out all the stops to get John back, but because it’s Brady, I just don’t care. AZ is turning in a fun performance, though. Sadly, “Bristen” is just one of the many awful TomSell legacies this show is unable to get rid of.
