As much as I love Kirsten, I think she’s currently too overweight to play Belle again. And as for Maxie on GH, I only liked Robyn Richards in the role.

Corday seems reluctant to have Beemer and Madison as Shawn and Belle long term. He'd JUMP at Kirsten and Jason. And while I love Jason's Shawn, I've grown to also love Brandon's Shawn. And I love Martha's Belle. I'm so annoyed neither is on this show long-term. Viable 30-somethings should not be off-screen!

I don't hate Taylor. He's just meh (and I too have trouble understanding him). He's not Roman to me and never will be. He's Chris. At least they realized Taylor's strength is supporting, behind a bar. That works for him and his fauxRo.

Yes, Kirsten revealed this in an interview. I once loved Shelle but I don’t want them on if played by MM and BB. Even their guest appearances piss me off.

Martha is like Stacy. She ruined a fave character of mine. Ditto KDP, Kate Mansi, and Julie Pinson. The recasts who ruined roles. 

I hate recasts. I can’t thing of a single one I liked. Heather Lindell? (I’m not counting Matt Ashford because I never saw the first two Jacks)

I’ve never been a fan of the soap opera bitch archetype. I prefer the good girls. That’s all Hilary was: a bitch.

Jon still has a chance to win next year. I thought his performance as Ryan in the first quarter of 2019 was even stronger than last year.

No. I despise the character of Hilary and can’t stand Mishael as an actress. I’m aware my fellow posters love her, but I don’t. 

At the end of the day, I no longer watch Y&R so it ultimately doesn’t affect me that she’s back. I’d love it if they brought back a character who could get me watching again, though.

Kirsten asked to come back in early 2005 when her primetime show failed, but they wouldn’t fire Martha Dumptruck so she joined GH.

That story was ridiculously skewed for Mariah. Most have the discernment to see the assassination hilary received to push saint Mariah and won't hold it against her. 

I mean, Mariah is a better character than Hilary and Camryn is a better actress than Mishael. I’m glad Hilary died and hope she stays that way.

Kirsten was very popular as Belle. A recast was always going to be a hard pill to swallow. I still think CR was a hoax casting devised by JER so the audience would accept the “real” recast, MM.

But it didn’t work! 15 years later and I still hate Martha Madison.

And it’s been 22 years but I still don’t accept JT as Roman.

If the actor in the flashback is in the episode, they don’t get paid extra for the flashback. That’s why they were able to do two days of Jack and Jennifer flashbacks in April.

They ended up using a flashback, so the estates of Peggy McCay and Frank Parker got paid.

EDIT: Are they paid a full episode’s pay from when the episode aired, or a full episode’s pay at today’s rates?

I made no comment about her as a person. She was an actress and her work was open to the public for critique - much like that of Suzanne Rogers who we both agree on. The fact that she’s dead changes nothing to me on that front.

I make no apologies for what I said and I’ll say it again - her line delivery was hammy as hell. That’s directed to her acting and not her as a person. Luckily, we all have our opinions and weren’t put on this earth to appease everyone.

A normal person would be respectful of the dead. I realize now that I’m dealing with a tactless and heartless excuse for a person. Sad.
