Fun fact: this was around the time frame I noticed Katherine Kelly Lang had her face lift/blepharoplasty (there's a noticeable difference in her appearance between episodes 3614 and 3619). These two images were taken within a month from each other.

Somehow we got two episodes featuring Daisy but none featuring Tricia Dennison. Or Matt Clark. Or Veronica Landers. 🙄🙄

I'm confused by all of this. On Chloe's social media it's apparent she is in full support of the BLM movement.

Jerry Douglas definitely had work done around this time, definitely blepharoplasty. Here are some images from the 1986 classic from yesterday and the 1987 classic from a few weeks back. Notice how the eyes were much more hooded in appearance and the bags more pronounced in 1986. Bags have definitely been reduced by 1987 as well as the eyes containing a more pronounced eyelid fold. Very common for this to be done, I believe Hunter Tylo had this done in around 1998, Eileen Davidson around 1999, and Katherine Kelly Lang in 2001.

It looks like the frame rate was dropped from 60 fps to 24 fps. On a side note, I've always had an inkling that Jerry Douglas had a face lift in the mid-late 80s - but I didn't realize they wrote it into the story!

A painful reminder of what a camp-tastic mess MAB's Y&R was LOL. Musically speaking, I don't miss how cheesy and campy the cues were composed in this era. Made intense episodes like this seem a little too over the top, even for Y&R.

I was afraid this was going to happen - some of my privated B&B videos got nixed too. If all else fails you can always share them in the vault I've created!

Baha well, at least her return to B&B in 2017 made it resemble that more closely.

I never fully bought Sheila's motivations behind returning to Genoa City in her 2005 return. For years we have seen her on B&B shift her focus on her rivalry with Lauren/Scotty and Scott to focusing on her life with James, Mary/Erica, and of course, Eric. Then all of a sudden she's obsessed with Scotty and making Lauren miserable again????

For all Brad Bell's faults, I'm glad he just dismissed those weird years Sheila appeared on Y&R.

Looks like Ian Ward, Tricia Dennison, Veronica Landers, Mari Jo Mason, and Matt Clark don't stand a chance against the almighty SARAH SMYTHE 😍😍😍

It'll take me some time to organize the files because I've been focused on Y&R, but I'll upload classics pre-2008 when I get the chance!

I was really hoping we'd see some Veronica and Tricia episodes for Villains Week but I guess beggars can't be choosers...

As lackluster and overused as this is, I find that after watching the "classic" from 2014, RC Cates' compositions have improved melodically in recent years as opposed to the JFP trashcan of cues they started using in 2013. Still lacks the punch of the Allocco-Kurtz-Davidson cues from 1984-2002. On the note of Alloco-Kurtz cues, I really didn't care for the compositions from the MAB era. They made scenes sound super campy and this one in particular below at the end of the scene is one I could never stand.

They stopped adding new headshots for characters in this style around 2005-2006 I believe and just kept recycling headshots of the same people by 2012.
