Um, is it really that expensive to produce a daytime knockoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for broadcast television?

Well, people, go to the 50:35 mark in this podcast.

Man, why couldn't knockoffs of The Real Housewives franchise replace All My Children and One Life to Live on ABC in the early 2010s? Why did The Chew have to replace AMC? Why did The Revolution replace OLTL? I do admit that my mom likes The Chew, but why couldn't the TPTB at ABC Daytime have chosen a ripoff of, say, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

I'm late to the party, probably, but Eileen Davidson is OUT of BH next season?
Um, yeah. What do you consider to be the worst thing about her, CassieFan?

Who remembers the song in this video?

I've come across a video about WWE Raw that might touch a nerve with Another World fans. (Hint: Remember when AW had a 90-minute time slot?)

Did Coronation Street ever enter All My Children or Santa Barbara territory?

Check this out.

If you get the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel [separate from the regular channel] and have insomnia or a DVR, there is an episode airing at 3:00 a.m. ET called "Blue and Broken Harted" from 1982 - meaning, before Santa Barbara - that lists both Nicolas Coster and Louise Sorel as part of the guest cast. Cool!
A Martinez appeared in a 1983 episode of Hart to Hart known as "Straight Through the Hart."
Speaking of TV guest appearances, would it have been a good idea for Marcy Walker to appear as a guest star on Murder, She Wrote?

@Nothin'ButAttitude Thanks for the heads up! I'm actually shocked that Sony didn't encourage her to keep doing BH. Eileen created buzz for Y&R and Days by extension. But Eileen is in demand in the soap world, and for a 56 year old that is no mean feat nowadays in that industry. I admire her accomplishments even if I fell out of love with her on BH.
Yeah I felt the same way. Part of it was also the fact that Y&R was being ABCified in the worst possible way by JFP and Pratt. But I didn't enjoy watching ED on the show and couldn't look at Ashley the same way.
I feel sad for the wasted potential that was Eileen... her first season she was down to earth, voice of reason, funny and self deprecating. Second season she took LVP's little jabs and blew them way out of proportion. The cynical part of me wonders if she chose to support Yolanda because it was a no-brainer that a sick woman is the victim. Now of course we realise that Yolanda may have been playing them and us all. Or maybe ED just needed a SL.
The moment that shocked me with Eileen was at that reunion when she said to LVP: "I don't trust you and I don't like you." The latter was an especially hard, cold statement. Eileen came across as dismissive and judgmental. This was reinforced last season in Hong Kong when she, Rinna and Erika went in hard on Dorit. I think she has lovely sides to her personality actually, but all we saw in the end was this inflexible, humorless attack dog, with an agenda.
The question now is: what on earth is Rinna going to do now that her ride or die girl is gone? Eileen had her back no matter what. I see in the picture posted of the women in Vegas that she is GLUED to Erika's side. Lmao. She burned her bridges with LVP, Dorit and Kyle.
Actually, Eileen Davidson was born on June 15, 1959, making her 58 years old.
No offense, Cat, but why do you think that Yolanda has been playing people? Dr. Oz has believed that Yolanda has Lyme disease.

Was the Old West storyline really that bad? Also, how did A Martinez fare as Ray Montez?

Was it really tiresome to hear about Yolanda's "journey"?

I think so. Anyone who wasn't Reva was always going to have an uphill climb but Tangie seemed like a dead character walking from go. Personally, I liked her. Not loved, but liked. I can't even explain why she was such a failure but even before the internet it was obvious fans hated her.
Robert Newman admitted in the 2015 Daytime After Dark episode that Marcy was frustrated.

Is it safe to say that Marcy Walker's Tangie Hill character was doomed from day one? Robert Newman seemed to indicate that in a 2015 episode of the BlogTalkRadio show Daytime After Dark.

Had she not been written into a corner, Elena could have easily filled the place of Eden when MW CHOSE to leave. Between Elena and Kelly, they could have had filled Eden's place--Kelly the heroine and Elena with Cruz.
Um, what would Elena have done if she had successfully courted Cruz after Eden had permanently left the canvas? Would Elena still have been evil?

wasnt this right after sherilyn left GH as Cecilia? Maybe she did not want another long term contract?
Celia Quartermaine was a nice lady, right? Elena Nikolas was a wicked villainess.

Elena Nikolas was such an evil woman! At least the promo doesn't contain any footage of Eden Capwell in a wheelchair!

What kind of character did Billy Warlock play on Capitol? What kind of character did the late Dane Witherspoon play?

Should Marcy Walker have appeared as Liza Colby on either Loving or The City? After all, Debbi Morgan appeared as Angie on both of those soaps.

Genie Francis did appear on Loving for a time as part of a crossover storyline with All My Children.

Sherilyn Wolter played a nice lady on GH, right? Unfortunately for me, she played a particularly evil character on Santa Barbara.

Should A Martinez have made a guest appearance on Sunset Beach? How about Joseph Bottoms? Jed Allan?

Um, when did B&B come the closest to resembling Santa Barbara?
