Aw, I don't want Ryan to die, I quite like him. I bet Becca will be written out when her contract ends. Hell, I can see Kat kicking her out of the Slater house when she comes back.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I started just before Sharon's first exit, which, I guess my PBS affiliate was airing episodes from 1995 at that time. A few years later, thanks to BBC America, I was watching in near real time, and stopped for a while when BBC America took it off their lineup. I then started watching via torrents during Santer's first year, but I lost interest fast. Then I started watching episodes here and there, and then recently I randomly started to watching regularly via torrents again. I also visit the UK regularly, so I've always kept up with the show in a way.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Kirkwood had to have seen the mess he was inheriting with this story, and how it just didn't work without any explanation about where Lisa is. I'm glad it looks like he's actually paying attention to all these details. It's typical of the Santer era though, to do something with little thought or follow though. I bet Lisa's episode will probably be an hour long episode.

Aw, it's apaprently only for one episode. I wonder if she does take Louise and leave, though... http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a214993/lucy-benjamin-to-make-one-off-enders-return.html

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I won't even claim EastEnders is any good right now, but I just randomly started watching again, and I guess I'm hopeful to see what Kirkwood will bring to the show. Carl should be happy Lucy Benjamin is returning, I think she was on his list of people he wanted back.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I think it should be good. Collinson had no problems admitting what a HUGE Corrie fan he is years before he even got this job. He was, of course, also series producer for Dr. Who for a while. I'm very optimistic about his future at Corrie.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I should just start a thread listing the air dates for the first episode in which Marquess, Kirkwood, and Collinson (Corrie's soon to be Series Producer) will be credited.
-
Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I don't know if he'll be credited on Monday, but apparently, he'll be in the credits next week according to the Radio Times. But again, we probably won't see his actual stories for another two months, he has to finish off Allan's crap.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I did like Darren in Friday's episode. I find him much more tolerable when he's away from Libby and Adam. With those characters leaving soon, I wonder if he'll be able to find a stable place on the show, even with such little ties. I think Charlie G. Hawkins is a good comedic actor and he has some good charisma about him. Though, I certainly hope he doesn't get looped in with Zsa Zsa, Leon, and Fatboy.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I think the actress said it was her choice to leave. I guess she'll be able to play out the immediate aftermath of the reveal and then she's out. If she's pregnant, I wonder if she'll keep it to herself or if she'll let the Masoods know.
-
EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Yeah, I think that's happening, but the actress is leaving the show soon, so I guess Amira leaves town pregnant. I guess it always leaves the door open for the character to return eventually.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Yeah, it's just speculation from fans. I don't think they'll be dumping a bunch of new characters on the show at once, with the E20 gang still there. I suspect within a year or so, they'll be a new family on the show though. Perhaps they'll be gradually woven in over a period of months.
-
EastEnders: Discussion Thread
There's also speculation that a new family may be brought in. I think that could be a good thing, since the show seems overrun with Mitchells and Branning/Jacksons right now.

Why do you hate Tanya so much, Carl? I actually really like Jo Joyner, which helps me like Tanya.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Yeah, but I don't think Roxy was ever considered a filler character. She's supposed to be still be "popular." LOL! The show has a lot of filler characters, but this batch is supposed to be just the beginning of a cull, so more could still be on the way. There could also be some "popular" characters in the next batch, who knows. I'm surprised Danny will axed so soon. I actually expected him on the show for some time more. LOL!
-
EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I think the show will be changing and going in a new direction, with news of these sudden axings. I didn't think so before since everyone is still praising the show, but I think Kirkwood has come in with some type of strong vision and its ready to implement it.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I wonder if they'll be bringing in some new characters. But we haven't heard anything about Kirkwood bringing on new characters other than Zoe Lucker's Vanessa.
