According to Lacey's agent, she wanted to leave since last Summer, but extended her contract for another year. I guess she was planning on leaving soon.

Say what you want about Stacey, but Lacey Turner ALWAYS gave it her all. That girl was born to act. If anything, I'm going to miss Lacey so much. I hope Lacey goes to Hollywood and makes it big, she's talented and beautiful enough.

I absolutely love Nina Wadia, she was hilarious in the revealed programme. I love the the part where she was discussing the Syed/Qadim showdown and she said she was "quite turned on."

I'm really going to miss Amira and Chelsea's friendship, and now Chelsea is the only one that knows Amira is leaving pregnant. But, surely, Denise will know too since Chelsea told her about her and Amira taking pregnancy tests that day, and given that Zainab and Denise are freneimes... I really loved Amira's goodbye scene with Julia's Theme. LOL!

Cindy seems like has type of character, and her maternity leave had to help Steph Warring from being on the axing block. Sounds like he has big plans for Cindy, Darren, and Tony, especially when Warring returns from maternity leave.

Sounds like this villain is going to be mixing it up with more than just Cheryl, which could be his saving grace, and oh, if he kills Cheryl, too... Most likely...

How sad, I'm waiting for Christian to get gay bashed again. :lol: I hate this character and I hate Syed. Amira was the best thing about Monday's episode. Loved the use of Julia's Theme too... I liked the Lucas scenes too...

Sounds intriguing, well most of it, hopefully it turns out well on-screen...

What's funny is how forgotten and tucked away this show has been since it left the air. The show was a huge hit, for the most part, when it originally aired. Now, a lot of people don't even know The Cosby Show had a spin-off. What's interesting too is that A Different World rated higher The Cosby Show in black viewers for almost all of the seasons they ran together originally. But I've come across people who think of A Different World as a "black sitcom" and they don't think of The Cosby Show in that same vein.

I really liked the instrumental version of Aretha's theme. I liked looking at the end credits and hearing it before it flashed to the Carsey-Werner logo.

I think only the first season is on DVD...

Didn't Denise and Martin make an appearance on an episode in one of the latter seasons? I'm thinking season 5...

That's a shame, considering how topical the show got.

They should have made Jaleesa a radical lesbian, I think Dawn could have pulled it off. Did this show even deal with homosexuality? They did so many issues, I can't remember if they dealt with that one...

Cliff and Claire liked Olivia more than their own damn grandchildren.

This was always my favourite opening and theme variation for The Cosby Show: I always found it funny how the show started to revolve around Denise and Olivia when Lisa Bonet came back from A Different World, and then Lisa and Bill had another falling out and that was it for the Denise character...
