Kirkwood said the first story he got to really sink his teeth into is Peggy's exit, so I guess her exit story will be the real kickoff point to his regime. Keep in mind, Peggy isn't leaving until like late August/September. Kat and Alfie should also be returning around this time...

As I've been saying and as Ellie pointed out in a post at Walford Web, you won't see Bryan's stories and ideas start to filter through until Autumn, so it'll be a while yet before we start to notice Bryan's influence. Most of his immediate influence will be felt with characters like Kim, Vanessa, Jodie, and Mercy's grandmother Grace. I don't expect things to change until somewhere in August, when we should get a clearer idea of Kirkwood's vision.

No, I believe Glenda is here for a while more, and with Peggy gone soon, they may keep her longer. Though, I believe this is Danny's last month on the show...

So, it looks like the week of June 21st, EastEnders will only be airing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. No Tuesday and Thursday showings.. Due to the World Cup, of course. Monday and Wednesday's showing are an hour-long to make up for the two days off. Also on Monday, the show airs from 8.00-9.00pm, on Tuesday it airs from 7.00-8.00pm, and on Wednesday, it airs from 7.30-8.00pm. Kris said he hasn't conducted his interview with Collinson yet, so I'm guessing Collinson is the last one in the series of interviews. I believe he's also interviewing the producers of Home And Away, Casualty, Holby City, The Bill, and Waterloo Road.

It looks like Peggy is going to be more involved with the Ben story in the coming weeks.

She needs to get laid, she needs someone to bring out some fun and vulnerable side to her again. I think this is Harvey's last week on the show.. Didn't Pat and Peggy discuss the Ben situation at the Vic yesterday, too? With Peggy saying she can't leave Phil and Ben alone again or something. With the pacing, I guess it depends on what Kirkwood or Yorke want overall. There's bound to be some changes in the way stories are told with the change in producers and a new deputy storyliner coming on...

I thought the Pat and Peggy location stuff around London was fun, and it's nice when they go on location around London, they need to do it more often. The teens sucked as usual. I guess you can tell the show is in the process of winding down from Santer's era to a handover period. Everything just feels like filler until the next regime officially begins. I wonder what they have planned for Carol, Bianca, and Ricky in the future. I wonder if Kirkwood sees potential in these characters and will be fleshing them out better this time around. With the hiring of a new deputy storyliner and Dominic Treadwell-Collins' role being more limited, I wonder if the way stories are told and the types of stories told will be different. I would guess so. I thought it was just as bad from what I've seen. I also hated all those characters. I hated Kareena and Tariq, as well as the rest of the Ferreira family.

I think last week's hour-long episode was to fill the void of an episode not airing this week. I haven't heard anything about more episodes airing later on.

Wow, I wonder who they'll hire. I think it's a good idea to reduce Treadwell-Collins' role, the show does need some freshening up, and this will hopefully help. It will make Sylph happy, too.

The BBC's wording regarding the Melissa Suffield exit is kind of strange. They mention she's leaving, but no mention of Lucy being written out, even with the "Lucy's Leaving" title for the news release.
