  1. Yeah, they're speculating, and having watched Season 2 I disagree, I don't see any difference from how they re-framed DJ as the "new Danny" from the beginning of the new show. If anything the show has only gotten racier in content, and even more gay-friendly in the second season. And nothing in those articles proves that point or indicates the show is catering to hatemongers.
  2. ...The articles are about how the Christians are protesting against the show, not about how the show is run for them. Nor is there a mention of the show toning it down for them. The second season was even gayer than the first (right down to the younger son's apparent crush on Blake Shelton).
  3. I don't see any difference with DJ. They were writing her as the new Danny since the beginning of the new show and it fits, AFAIC.
  4. Vulture talks to Lear and Latinx ODAAT showrunner Gloria Calderon Kellett.
  5. I remember Louise Jameson's role.
  6. This show is the last thing that I thought would work, but Justina Machado is adorable. So I'll take a look when I clear some other stuff out in a few days. Very happy for Norman Lear.
  7. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw that redhead at Denise's party. That was Bonnie Langford, wasn't it? I remembered she was on the show now. Holy shît, she looks good. The stuff with Stacey and Martin is the most interesting NuMichelle has been for me. Did Sharon really marry Phil? Eeesh.
  8. There is no way the timid Washington media would put this story on television about an incoming (Republican) President unless they'd cross-checked it. And the report, after being passed to the FBI and deemed credible, was presented by our intelligence people to Obama. That doesn't happen over nothing.
  9. It's more than that. The Post, CNN, CBS and NBC corroborated it with government officials, and the original report itself was presented by our intelligence agencies to the President.
  10. That doesn't mean Trump should be allowed to stay in office.
  11. CNN is running with it, and the intelligence community briefed the President. Major officials are cosigning CNN's story. It's real. From the Guardian.
  12. To be clear: the report details the trending tag on Twitter - Trump on tape with Russian prostitutes, under surveillance as he requests 'golden showers.' He is likely also financially in the hole to Russia, as we all know. Buzzfeed ran the full documents, which were compiled by ex-MI6 officers last year. The FBI briefed people on this, including the President and McCain and likely other members of Congress. Seth Meyers, of all people, just grilled Kellyanne Conway on this on his late show.
  13. My mother just called me crying about Obama's farewell address. I'm not ready to watch this.
  14. Musician Sharon Van Etten talks her work on The OA and Twin Peaks. Very briefly. (I loved The OA, BTW)
  15. Now we have Mädchen. Raving about Sheryl Lee's performance in FWWM and the Missing Pieces.
  16. Kyle MacLachlan is being interviewed live on FB. Now Kimmy Robertson is up!
